Problem: Procurement across multi-site hotel groups is fragmented — ordering, supplier portals, and approvals are split across different systems or handled manually. This creates delays, poor visibility, and inconsistent processes across locations. What I’m building (first version): A simple workflow layer for: \- internal requests (site → head office) \- approvals \- visibility across locations Not a full procurement system — just fixing the messy middle. Early signal: I’ve spoken to people in hospitality ops who confirmed this is still handle... Stop Selling Files, Start Selling Solutions: The Digital Product Masterc...3h agoThis video overview breaks down the comprehensive framework for building a sustainable digital product business, as detailed in the 'Digital Product Management Guide.' Basement Flood Cleanup Services : Need For Water Back Up Insurance R & S Restores of Novi Mi3h agoAs metro Detroit property damage restoration company. We get many call calls for basement flood cleanup services in Novi, Northville South Lyon and beyond. Many of these emergency calls end in devastation, because homeowners assume their insurance policy will automatically cover everything. In reality, a sump pump flooded basement or a sewage backup is often excluded from standard coverage. That is unless you’ve added specific water backup insurance. That gap can leave you responsible for cleanup, repairs, and replacing damaged belongings out of pocket. That’s why we strongly recommend adding water backup coverage to your policy before a problem happens. Take a few minutes to speak... Officers & Coincidences3h agoThere’s so many coincidences regarding officers in this case, off the bat here are two that rattle me. Williams - on arriving at the station the following morning he decides to pull the roster on all LE and emergency personnel who attended the ‘DUI walk away’. These apparently happen frequently in that area and I’m not sure why he acted as he did as it wasn’t even an investigation at that point so I’m not sure what he stood to gain. This just opens up more theories and speculation when you realise who his step son was, Acquainted to, and that he was throwing a party that evening, which have been the subject to local rumours. McKay - at around 8 the night Maura disappeared he ... Looking for beta testers for an AI app that summarizes your Gmail inbox (InboxIQ)3h agoHey everyone 👋 I’m an indie developer working on an app called **InboxIQ**, and I’m looking for people to test it and give honest feedback. **What it does:** InboxIQ connects to your Gmail and turns your inbox into a **simple AI digest**: * summarizes your emails * highlights important updates * extracts action items (what needs a reply) The goal is to reduce email overload — instead of reading everything, you just see what matters. **Why I need testers:** I want to understand: * Is the summary actually useful or confusing? * Does it miss anything important? * Would you trust it with your inbox? **What I’m specifically looking for:** * People who get a lot of emails (5... Itinerary of Beijing and Xian in march 2026 tips and info3h agoMy girlfriend and I went to China and I want to share our experiences for those that come after. Our travel plan was 7 days beijing, speedtrain to xian, 5 days xian, speedtrain back to beijing, then one more night of beijing before flying back to amsterdam. I am going to generalize our experienced into separated topics below. You may find that my text is rather negative and might feel like a rant at times. Although I didnt **** china, it wasnt particularily that enjoyable, unless you speak mandarin I wouldnt exactly recommend going here for holidays. **General experience.** My girlfriend is from Hong-Kong, so she speaks cantonese and can understand a little bit of mandarin, even though... I Bought a Charm/Keychain and Now I'm Seeing Strange Things (part 1/?)3h agoI need to lay out some context about a certain flaw of myself before I start my tale. I wear glasses due to having horrible farsight. If you were to stand two feet in front of me when I don't wear them, you would be nothing but a faint blur through my eyes and the further I could move away the worse it gets. Even being close, it's very difficult to make out the full details of a person's face. The world is a massive blur to me without my prescription lenses. Why I have to say all this pertains to what I had found and purchased in a shady thrift store a week ago. I like to go to thrift shops, garage sales, house sales, and even to the flea markets. It’s been great for quick development, but we’re starting to hit limitations, especially around launching to the App Store and managing a scalable, long-term codebase. Experimented with Capacitor as a workaround, but it feels more like a ad-hoc than a solid long-term solution. Need someone who in mobile dev field ok even junior, we are fast grwoing together. Byteroops I built a sidebar for ChatGPT which displays your chat's prompts with actions to reduce scrolling time, keep track ...3h ago[NavGPT](https://navgpt.app) is built for those who strategically edit prompts in ChatGPT to cover all of their requirements and explore different paths without starting new conversations. If you find yourself constantly scrolling up, editing a prompt, exploring a path, scrolling up again, searching for the branch navigation; this tool removes all of that with instant navigation from a simple sidebar. Built as a chrome extension with MV3, Vite and Preact. NavGPT inserts a non-invasive, native feeling sidebar as a Shadow DOM. Contains a two week free pro trial, a free version and a pro version- enabled via LemonSqueezy's License keys and API. NavGPT is completely private, no person... Two refrigerators failed within a week. Coincidence or electrical issue?3h agoHi all, as the title says, I've had two refrigerators die within a week of one another. The first was in our kitchen and approximately 20 years old, so wasn't terribly surprising. Compressor completely kicked it (lights still work but no cooling, no clicking sound, etc.) So we went ahead and ordered a new one, relying on our basement fridge in the interim. Then this morning, I found our basement fridge (less than two years old) no longer holding temperature (frozen goods melted, etc.) Lights work but cannot hear the compressor running at all. The fridges are on separate breakers. I've tried unplugging for 10 mins and plugging back in, to no avail. Is this just a coincidence or... Selling inherited house w/Xfinity security and WiFi3h agoHello all, My father recently passed, and I inherited his house that’s located in another state. It’s had Xfinity security camera system with touch screen and WiFi for a few years. I’m not familiar with the company, as where I live we don’t have them. I tried calling to see what is needed to cancel service. What equipment do they need returned or do they need to come out and remove the cameras? I have been flying in and out of the area to get the house in order to sell, but I don’t seem to get a straight answer from them. When I look at the statements, it doesn’t say camera equipment rental. There is a line for no charge that says touchpad rental. What’s typically done ... Parall for macOS - run multiple app instances natively, with new launch options, compatibility presets, and improved Doc...3h agohttps://reddit.com/link/1s7tfhi/video/622g4wqf87sg1/player **Problem** macOS still does not offer a clean native way to run multiple fully separate instances of many apps with their own behavior, identity, and data separation. In practice, this becomes a problem when you want to keep work and personal setups separate, use multiple accounts side by side, launch apps with different arguments, or make each shortcut clearly distinguishable in the Dock. A common workaround has been to run separate app setups inside virtual machines, but that does not feel native, uses far more system resources, and can drain battery much faster. [Parall](https://parall.app) was built to solve that. It creat... Can you use a kobo USA giftcard to purchase foreign JP/CN books?3h agoHas anyone tried this ? Buying a kobo giftcard through Amazon to redeem it on their USA kobo account and then converting the kobo region location to Japan/china and be able to purchase jp/CN books? I know kobo sells gift cards on their sites but as I use amazon a lot I wanted to make sure. I read the FAQ but it would really help if anyones actually tried this so I can confirm it works? Because I read that you can simply redeem a kobo giftcard then converting the your region map location from USA to Japan then be able to purchase foreign books that way, is this true? I just wanna make sure before I make the plunge because I have a class and the book is only through kobo rakuen. Also can ... Byteroops I built a local agent with Codex/GPT-5.4 that used a real iPhone to install, test, and review an app3h agoI’ve been building Understudy, an open-source local-first computer-use agent for macOS, using both Codex and Claude Code during development. A recent end-to-end test was: give it a single prompt, let it find an iPhone photo-editing app, try it, generate a review video, upload it, and leave the device clean afterward. In one run it: * opened the real App Store in Chrome * chose Snapseed * installed it onto a real iPhone via iPhone Mirroring * explored the app without a task-specific script * generated a narrated vertical video with FFmpeg * uploaded it to YouTube * removed the app / cleaned up at the end The part I care about is that this is real computer use, not just browser automatio... Need legal advice for a charity in Connecticut and New York!3h agoHi all. I have a charity based in Connecticut and New York where we knit and crochet for those in need. We’re starting to gain quite a bit of traction and are going to hopefully be filing to be a 501(c)(3) before the end of the year. The issue is, we currently don’t have the funds to file for it. We’re going to be doing a lot of fundraising for it this summer, but we need to know the legality of what we’re going to be doing. We wanted to make a business bank account, but in order to do that we need a tax ID which we… again don’t have the funds for yet. So, how do we store our money? Should I just create a personal bank account where I solely keep the funds for it in there until... The 2026 Guide to Faster, AI-Driven Orthodontics in South Florida: Why SMILE-FX® Is Redefining Your Smile Experience3h ago**Stop wasting your money on "average" orthodontics.** In 2026, the gap between "good" and "great" care isn’t just about the braces—it’s about the tech. But most people in South Florida are still stuck in the dental dark ages. I see people commuting 45 minutes to a clinic that hasn’t upgraded its process since 2010. They’re getting 24-month treatment plans, putty molds that make them gag, and "assembly line" attention. If you’re looking for a new smile, stop looking at "local" and start looking at **ROI (Return on Investment)**. Here is the breakdown of what actually matters when picking an ortho. *** ### The "Big Thre... VDOT lifts lane closures to sweeten Easter weekend travel3h agoPeep VDOT's traffic tools to plan ahead before traveling. For people ready to hop into spring, VDOT reminds travelers to buckle up and put the phone down while behind the wheel so that everyone can safely arrive to their destinations during the Easter holiday weekend. VDOT will be suspending many highway work zones and lifting temporary lane closures on interstates and other major roads in Virginia from noon on Friday, April 3 until noon on Tuesday, April 7. While lane closures will be lifted in most locations, motorists may encounter semi-permanent work zones that remain in place during this time.
