Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Discount Store Latest Community Discussions About Store Locator Tool in USThoughts on using tannerite on zombies?3h agoI had a couple thoughts on this. Use as a distraction or misdirection- Horde heading your way and you need a long distance distraction to change their course, set up a few pounds of it about a 1,000yds from your place, take a shot from the window with a decently powered rifle (.308, 6.5 creedmoor, 7mm mag), and boom. Threat moving away from you. Trying to gain access to possible stores/weapons in a building surrounded by Zs? Tannerite with a long fuse thrown away from your location or placed in a house with natural gas with the pilot light blown out and a big candle burning in kitchen to **** when gas builds up. Horde reducer/eliminator- If you can get your hands on a large enough stash a... NYC in April with 6 year old kids3h agoHello, We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 year old kids) who are going to NYC mid April. I posted here a month ago, and revised my itinerary based on people's suggestions. We are looking for kid friendly activities, please criticize my itinerary. My only concern is on day 4, I do not really have a plan after the Yankee game. I do not think we will stay there for more than 3 innings even. I was thinking of just doing random things or visit stores we do not have here in Canada. If anyone has better suggestions for the meals, please comment. Any help is appreciated thanks so much ***Day 1*** * Arrival at hotel around 1 pm, check in to hotel (midtown) * Quick Lunch: Pizza sup... Scanning outs / Pinpoint with multiple items in DSL3h agoOur store is finally getting DSL. We've been installing them for a little over a week. My question is, if you have a modular with multiple items in the same label tag, will you still be able to scan that out from the tag because I would assume the QR code would represent a different item that is also flexed. One example of this would be Fashion. Ignoring the RFID wands for this example, if one item is an out within a location that has multiple items scanned into the label, how do you go about getting the right QR to scan the out and pinpoint? Idea validation tools are coming up every week but mine is about market research3h agoAlthough I see many complaints and tools every week about idea validation and related tools, mine is about market research. It generates top competitors with their strengths and weaknesses along with execution difficulty, viability and trend heat scores. And you can choose global mode or your preferred location. It shows the market gaps and gives strategic recommendations based on analysis but the clearer your idea is, the clearer your report will be. The analysis is based on real public data and AI both. You can check my profile for the articles based on the analyses it produced. I recently updated it by adding a feature that will notify you once competition or scores change. "clopenings" or "up-downs" or whatever you want to call them3h agoEvery single week I'm doing at least one of these (I'm an ASM). A couple closing shifts here, a couple opening shifts there, an up-down, it's no wonder I can't maintain a regular sleep schedule. I'm working an 8-hour closing shift today, and have to be right back in tomorrow at 6am for inventory day. Trucks at our location come at 6am on Monday, so occasionally, I'm doing a Sunday-Monday up-down too. Keys to the store, code to the alarm, often a couple hours of every shift completely by myself (and even once, a full 8-hour shift with nobody else), all for under $13/hr. This place really boils my blood. OK rant/vent over Roast My Resume Honestly Please3h agoFinal year IT Engineering student here. Tier 5 college (honestly no value, no real placements). Even the “hire train deploy” stuff doesn’t feel legit to me. I spent my 7th sem preparing for GATE instead of placements. Didn’t work out as planned. Now I’m stuck. No solid campus offers. Off-campus feels overwhelming. Need honest advice, folks: - How bad is my situation really? - What should I focus on right now to recover? - Resume doubt: should I mention my college name, or just the university since my college has no value? Be brutally honest. I can take it. [4 YoE, Technical Support, Product/Project/Solutions Specialist, UK]3h agoLooking to move from customer facing tech support into a more product/project management based role. I feel I have a lot of experience outside of just "working through tickets", but the main issue really is I have no formal PM qualification, or I can't show genuine product ownership. I haven't fully started applying, I'm only really passively looking for jobs at the moment - just to get a sense of the direction I should move towards. I'm specifically looking for feedback on whether my experience justifies this transition away from Support and what roles I should be applying for. Any feedback on formatting, layout, tone, wording etc would be great! https://pr... Excerpts from my diary3h agoSince childhood I only had one dream going abroad (USA) for my Master's, get the exposure and come back. Rest everything else is a desire be it buying a house, travelling the world etc. Those aren't my dream but a desire. I'm raised by a single mother and am a first gen student. I got good grades, got work experience in the field of supply chain, though I'm not an engineer but hail from business background so my skills are in tune with that as opposed to other hardcore tech skills. I have and will continue upgrading myself with even the tech skills but this economy is brutal even for highly skilled ones, so Saved my money so I can go for my Master's. However neither ... [LFA] Sindri, the magpie artificer3h agoI will soon join a d&d adventure in the Humblewood setting. I am playing a Corvum (setting specific crow-like species) artificer based on an Eurasian magpie and I’d love to see your take on her. I added some information about Sindri bellow. If there are any questions, I’d be happy to answer. **Sindri profile:** **Name:** Sindri **Gender:** female **Age:** 19 **background:** Sindri lives in a village in the Humblewood, a magical forest where a multidude of different animal folk live together. When Sindri was still in the egg, her family’s nest was destroyed in a forest fire. Her egg was saved by a family of Gallus (a species of humanoid fowl) who then raised her as ... [IOS] Built a recipe extraction app from TikTok / YouTube / Instagram. Looking for honest feedback3h agoHey everyone, I’m not a professional cook, so when I try recipes from videos, I usually want very clear steps and exact ingredients. But cooking from short-form videos is frustrating — you have to keep pausing, rewinding, and guessing quantities while trying to actually make the dish. That’s why I built an iOS app that lets you import recipes from TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram and turns them into step-by-step cooking instructions. Another problem I personally run into is not having all the ingredients at home. Before, I’d go back and forth with AI tools trying to figure out substitutes and then rewrite the recipe so it still made sense. So I added a feature that lets you swap ing... Building a Robust CRM Sync Pipeline: Handling Deduplication and Data Decay at Scale3h agoMost automation builders think "Syncing with CRM" means "Pushing a lead to HubSpot/Salesforce." As Tech Leads, we know that’s just the ingestion phase. The real engineering challenge begins at the synchronization & deduplication layer. If you’re managing 10k+ leads across multiple campaigns, your CRM will quickly turn into "Unstructured Trash" without a robust data engineering pipeline. Here is the architectural blueprint for building a self-cleaning, high-integrity sync system. # 1. A16z just dropped their top 100 ai apps report. the coding tools section is interesting3h agoA16z published their latest consumer ai report. some takeaways relevant to us: Cursor is generating massive revenue but almost all usage happens in the desktop app, not web. same pattern verdent follows with deck. honestly using verdent deck feels like a proper native coding environment, not a browser tab pretending to be an ide. the multi task management, the git integration built right in, being able to kick off parallel agents and watch them work side by side. thats stuff you cant do well in a browser. Openclaw hit #30 on their web rankings in its first month but new signups already plateaued. technical users love it but it hasnt crossed over to non devs. the openai acquisition makes se... Unnecessary driving?4h agoI've noticed recently that I'll be 2 mi from a store it'll send me 12 miles to the furthest away store drive right past where I was located to the other side of town. WTF is up with that? Are they doing it so they can charge more for distance? I know it's not because the stores don't have the inventory that that order needs some of these orders are the basic things that every Walmart has yet they want you to drive by six of them to pick something up and deliver past another six? ******! Here's how I set up automated cert lifecycle management across \~20 services without manually tracking expiry dates or writing cron jobs. **Setup:** I use [certctl](https://github.com/shankar0123/certctl) (open source, self-hosted) running as a Docker Compose stack on a single VM: docker compose -f deploy/docker-compose.yml up -d That brings up the control plane (server + postgres). This is a direct grab from my daughter’s Ubuntu desktop while she was building her house in Luanti)* As a father, I want her to embrace FOSS and privacy. I believe that even in this age of mass surveillance, there’s still hope for kids to use computers and the internet comfortably, with super strict parental supervision ofc. Here are the key things I’ve curated for her: 1. Purged the Snap Store: I want her to learn the "proper" Linux way. Now, she's learning to install apps using `sudo apt install` and clean up with `sudo apt purge` 2. Ditched the Updater GUIs: No more Software or Firmware Updater.
