Canton

2d ago

I live near the st clairsville area. On Saturday Krogers will have 25 owa,.6 blantons, 6 eagle rare. I have plenty of eagle and blantons, but I am running extremely low on red. I will miss this drop ar st.c due to a tournament in Canton. is anyone familiar with the Canton area. Should I hit a giant eagle, Kroger, liquor store?

Giant Eagle specials

4d ago

I go to grocery stores to get the things that I do not want to buy in bulk at Costco. Giant Eagle specials are basically forced bulk purchases. If I came home with four watermelons, baby seedless or not, my wife would question my sanity. And rightly so.

doordash directions sent my GPS on a 55 mile trip

4d ago

I really messed up couple days ago. I clicked on direction to go to a Giant Eagle and it was 55 miles away. I did not notice distance till after i accepted it. I drove there but the directions took me way out and the store was not even there so had to drive 55 miles back. Thankfully doordash gave me some credit for the trip :)

Cloth delivery bags that reek of perfume

5d ago

I’ve received several orders in the cloth bags that Giant Eagle and some other grocery stores use ( sell for 10 cents) that reek of perfume so strongly that the smell fills up the room I bring them into instantly. I’ve seen other people complaining about a perfume smell on their deliveries as well. It is either that they are storing their bags with many of the cloth fabric softener sheets or they’re spraying them with a can of room deodorizer. It’s nauseatingly intense. And I’m not extra sensitive to smells- though I don’t like any of the extremely fake smells of some of these products and wouldn’t use those versions of them. How can we get them to stop? It’s worse than ...

Please report and discuss what interesting products you're seeing at stores today. Many Giant Eagle stores (mostly in Columbus and now in the Northeast) and Ale Wine and Spirits have an arrangement with the state to delay visibility of certain products in their online inventory until Saturdays even if it was delivered to the store earlier in the week. These stores may also hold back some of the rare bourbons that they receive in their weekly delivery to [release on Saturday](https://www.reddit.com/r/OhioLiquor/comments/i01v77/saturday_release/) mornings. Many highly allocated products are still fully hidden on OHLQ.com but I don't fully understand the logic behind it yet.

This Cheese Was No Joke

Giant Eagle/GetGo save $2 on gas gimmick

13d ago

Was just reading about this in the Cbus Dispactch. Spend at least $100 at one time April 10th to the 12th at the grocery store and get 20 cents off per gallon on a fill-up. So if you need ten gallons of gas, you are spending 100 bucks to save $2.00 and if your tank is almost empty, you might save $3 on 15 gallons. I like Giant Eagle but how much would that 100 bucks of groceries cost at Aldi? Maybe $85?

Why doesn't Giant Eagle have cars parked in thier curbside pickup area towed?

14d ago

I swear, the Market District in Robinson always has at least 2 or 3 cars parked and empty sitting in curbside pickup spots. It's not like there isn't enough regular parking, and the curbside is on the side of the building further away from everything inside the store. So is there any reason Giant Eagle doesn't have a tow truck comp may on retainer they can call and have these jagoff removed? EDIT, a lot of people here trying to make the argument that it's not worth making customers mad. But you'd only be making the rule-breaking entitled Karen's mad, all the customers worth keeping would like your company more. So how is that not worth it? Your employees would...

Best Grocery Store (?) Sub in Cbus?

16d ago

I’m from down South and have been missing my Publix subs more than ever lately. Nothing like grocery shopping and leaving with a deli sandwich mmmmm… I’ve never found anything similar in Columbus. I know Whole Foods universally has a deli but I’ve never been impressed (or much of a WF shopper anyways) and I’d assume Giant Eagle/Market District may have something similar? But has anyone found a grocery store deli that makes great subs? TIA!

Is Samsclub anything like Walmart?

19d ago

I'm sure this is seen as a silly question as both are owned by the Waltons and share the same products. The question is more of the customer base and layout of the store. I usually can only stomach going to Walmart once a year because of the people. Wearing stained pajamas and eating nachos while taking up the entire aisle. Bellies hanging over their cart while they walk as slow as possible. Wild animals, reprobates with no where to go and no where to be. My blood pressure starts to rise just by being in the store for more than ten minutes. The checkouts are sometimes way too long also, even at the self checkout. So many people need help, they might as well go to a cashier but there...

$240 of DoorDash grocery benefits is effectively dead for pickup orders

20d ago

I had some time on my hands and tried a bunch of grocery pickup options around the country to see whether the $20 order minimum for pickup would show up. I looked in every major US city for chains or single locations that offer pickup. 7-Eleven, Wegmans Meals2Go, Speedway, Sheetz (VA), The Hungover Store (SF) and Giant Eagle now have this ridiculous order minimum. Wawa, DashMart, Gus' Market (SF Bay), Royal Farms (PG County Maryland), United Dairy Farmers (OH), and a few bodegas in NYC do not require $20 minimums for pickups. This can change any day. If you don't live near any of these stores or they are out of your normal travel routes, or you don't order grocery delivery ...

Kosher groceries in pgh

27d ago

Hey guys! I’m fairly new to the Pittsburgh area, and since Passover is approaching I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for kosher grocery stores in the area? I know giant eagle has matzo but I’ve had no luck finding anything else! I can go to places outside of pgh too, since I have a car. Anywhere close by helps!
