Can someone please recommend local grocery stores open daily or almost daily?

2d ago

I understand that there's North Union farmer's market in Shaker Square, it's wonderful, but it's only hosted on Saturdays and I'm currently struggling a lot with time management and getting enough groceries to last me all week in one trip. I would seriously love a more ethical alternative to shopping at Walmart, Giant Eagle, Dollar General or Dave's Market or Whole Foods. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Miller High Life Reality Check

5d ago

A 24 oz will only cost $2.00, even after including tax. A lot of these shabby looking, derelict looking C-Stores will charge you $3.50 for one, and smile while doing it. Challenge them down to the $2.00 it actually should cost, if they do not comply, then either leave and not pay for it, or if you feel polite, put the drink back in the cooler and leave. Don't let those neanderthals take advantage of you. If you don't believe me, go to a Giant Eagle Gas Station and buy one of their Miller High Lifes.

Please report and discuss what interesting products you're seeing at stores today. Many Giant Eagle stores (mostly in Columbus and now in the Northeast) and Ale Wine and Spirits have an arrangement with the state to delay visibility of certain products in their online inventory until Saturdays even if it was delivered to the store earlier in the week. These stores may also hold back some of the rare bourbons that they receive in their weekly delivery to [release on Saturday](https://www.reddit.com/r/OhioLiquor/comments/i01v77/saturday_release/) mornings. Many highly allocated products are still fully hidden on OHLQ.com but I don't fully understand the logic behind it yet.

Question about Grocery Store Redemption?

10d ago

So I went to giant eagle today, and there was an 11% cash back offer, up to $15 (it was supposed to exclude liquor, gift cards, tobacco products, lottery tickets, etc). I did my grocery shopping, and also got a visa gift card for $200 bucks for my nephews graduation. I then chose to claim the offer, and it gave me a QR code that was linked to my credit card to use to pay with. By my calculation, I should have gotten $6.50 off of the grocery purchases. Instead, it gave me the full $15, as it included the $200 gift card purchase. It isn't in a pending state, the full $15 is available for me to "cash out" with (and was minutes after the purchase). Given that the offer exclu...

What is this and how do I take care of it?

12d ago

My mom got it from a giant eagle store for me but it doesn't say anything besides succulent. I know the basics of caring for succulents. The pot doesn't have drainage holes. I do plan on adding some until I can get a better pot and better soil which should be next week. My biggest concern is sun, where I live there's currently a freeze warning despite it being May. When that isn't a problem I can easily put it on my desk since that's right in front of a window that gets 6+ hours of sunlight. Another concern is my tap water is high in chlorine and smells like bleach. I do get spring water for my fish so I figured maybe I could use that or the purified water I get for ...

Highmark OTC

12d ago

Last year they sent us the MyFlex card for OTC products. We could shop in their site where everything costs 2-3 times more than in store. Or we could shop with the card at Giant Eagle, Walmart or Walgreens. It covered so much more and since I saved money by not shopping on their website the Money went way further. This year they change it and you can only buy on their website which is now 3 times higher than I store. So I’ve been buying the stuff on their website since it’s basically free. The problem is that the vitamins and supplements are fine. As are the OTC pain creams, itch cream and other stuff. BUT anything else is ****. I ordered a wrist strap that looked exactly like the one ...

Canton

22d ago

I live near the st clairsville area. On Saturday Krogers will have 25 owa,.6 blantons, 6 eagle rare. I have plenty of eagle and blantons, but I am running extremely low on red. I will miss this drop ar st.c due to a tournament in Canton. is anyone familiar with the Canton area. Should I hit a giant eagle, Kroger, liquor store?

Giant Eagle specials

24d ago

I go to grocery stores to get the things that I do not want to buy in bulk at Costco. Giant Eagle specials are basically forced bulk purchases. If I came home with four watermelons, baby seedless or not, my wife would question my sanity. And rightly so.

doordash directions sent my GPS on a 55 mile trip

24d ago

I really messed up couple days ago. I clicked on direction to go to a Giant Eagle and it was 55 miles away. I did not notice distance till after i accepted it. I drove there but the directions took me way out and the store was not even there so had to drive 55 miles back. Thankfully doordash gave me some credit for the trip :)

Cloth delivery bags that reek of perfume

25d ago

I’ve received several orders in the cloth bags that Giant Eagle and some other grocery stores use ( sell for 10 cents) that reek of perfume so strongly that the smell fills up the room I bring them into instantly. I’ve seen other people complaining about a perfume smell on their deliveries as well. It is either that they are storing their bags with many of the cloth fabric softener sheets or they’re spraying them with a can of room deodorizer. It’s nauseatingly intense. And I’m not extra sensitive to smells- though I don’t like any of the extremely fake smells of some of these products and wouldn’t use those versions of them. How can we get them to stop? It’s worse than ...

Giant Eagle/GetGo save $2 on gas gimmick

33d ago

Was just reading about this in the Cbus Dispactch. Spend at least $100 at one time April 10th to the 12th at the grocery store and get 20 cents off per gallon on a fill-up. So if you need ten gallons of gas, you are spending 100 bucks to save $2.00 and if your tank is almost empty, you might save $3 on 15 gallons. I like Giant Eagle but how much would that 100 bucks of groceries cost at Aldi? Maybe $85?
