I ran the oc marathon in 2024 and got a 4:12. My training was way less structured back then I skipped 2 runs in my training plan for big sur and they were because of sickness and a slight strain. Original plan was 3:45, but long run being one of the runs i skipped and lack of hills/elevation gain training (i live near the beach) has made me reconsider for sub 4, so i don't brick going for sub 3:45.
