So I visited the local (30 miles away...) Asian grocery store today. I was on the hunt for things to make mizutaki with for the first time. I couldn't get mizuna, kikuna, maitake, or naganegi, so I just substituted spinach, shimeiji mushrooms, green onions and napa cabbage. However, I realized I don't have a donabe/clay pot for cooking. All I have currently are normal metal pots with high walls. I'll be cooking just for myself, it's just a dish I've wanted to try after seeing it somewhere. Would it be feasible/okay to cook mizutaki (and other dishes like sukiyaki) in a metal pot?

Is it just me or is it annoying for people to be on their phone in the grocery store? Mildy so while walking around browsing, but people in the checkout line.... Especially when they are on speaker or video. This drives me crazy.

Love that I can share my obsession with tinned fish with a whole community. Today was a shopping day, so this haul is mostly from World Market, Patagonia from REI, and my local Korean grocery store for the abalone. I'm in year 4/5 of a small flower farm. It's been pretty good, but also really stressful and exhausting, making some money but not very profitable. If you change your own oil, or want to ensure good oil is available, buy some now. I stocked up 4 oil changes for my wife’s 24’ RAV4. I stocked up 8 oil changes for the 19’ Avalon. Group III base oil shortages are coming / here. Ordered 12 quarts of WS transmission fluid for drain and fill in 30K miles from now. I drive 2000-2200 miles / month. Just trying to ensure quality oils, keep my warranty and ensure long engine life. Anyone else notice supply chain issues?
