Hobby Lobby Locations

Some stores my SDiT does great and others he doesn’t and I don’t know why. He does great in stores like Cabela’s, Target, Kohl’s, Hobby Lobby. He even does good in Dollar General and UPS. But some stores he’s more weary and nervous like Goodwill. He is VERY nervous in gas stations. I think he may be scared of smaller, crowded stores. I took him to a fast food place today but we had to leave because he was shaking(!!) and couldn’t task properly. I’ll tell him to sit (and he does, every time) but sometimes he’ll keep standing up and looking around more than focusing on me. I don’t know how to get over his fear (or what he’s nervous about) because he does great in less crowd...

I was shopping at my local Tractor Supply out in Jersey , looking over some hay for my crops. For some reason the hay keeps the wild mushrooms from spreading, when an older fella struck up a conversation. He noticed my western wear right away(Vintage pan-handle slim shirt). He introduced himself as a retired livestock farmer from Oklahoma, who had transitioned into working as a local vet and got in to the franchise part of the biz. Looks like there is the Wool Market in Estes Park, CO happening early June! I've been crocheting for a long time and started knitting earlier this year. I've never been to a yarn festival before and wanted some initial thoughts from folks online! How do you plan which yarns to buy? Is it project based or do you just go for it? Do you create a budget? I'm just thinking there will be only yarn vendors but are there other types of items being sold? I'm guessing yarn prices might be a bit higher than usual retail stores like Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc but I think that's fine since it's for a special occasion! Any other thoughts, tips, or suggestions when I go?...

Went to my local Hobby Lobby a week or two ago to look for some craft things I needed, only to see the summer stuff and 4th of July stuff reduced to 1 small area, while the Halloween and Fall themed stuff was already taking up 8 different aisles. I'm rarely one to complain about stores putting stuff out early, but *really**?* Decorations for holidays thats are almost 6 months away? I don't know about anyone else, but this strikes me as borderline delusional by their marketing team. At this rate Im fully expecting to see christmas and new years stuff next month, in June...

I’m insanely picky when it comes to textures (to the point it irritates even me — it’s really ridiculous and annoying), and last year when I started crocheting again the only yarn I could find that felt “right” was HL’s Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek low pill yarn. It was also the only brand I could find with the exact colors I needed for my project (a book blanket). But I **** shopping at HL and I’d really love to find an alternative elsewhere. I miss Joann’s so much as a cosplayer who hates to shop on line I only do it if I have ran out of options. the only craft store very close to me if you can even call it that is Hobby lobby in my opinion their craft section is pitiful. So before this month Ollie's wasn't a thing in my area. We have a regional chain or two that is very similar. What I noticed set Ollie's apart was a lot of christian overtones? I'm not really used to a store having "commandments" or a bible section or an "inspiration" book section next to that with "how I found jesus" books. Is this another Hobby Lobby or Chickfila? Or was this just coincidence because it was in the same stripmall as a strip mall version of a mega church?
