i just ate there for the first time yesterday and man this might dethrone Arby's as the worst fast food ive ever had. for one the place was in shambles, all the tables wide out in the open with no booths just uncomfortable, luckily it wasnt too weird since i was the only person in there at lunch hour. i know we dont get fast food for the atmosphere but man at least put a couple booths in the place. they had a coke freestyle machine but everything was disabled except for water, absolute waste of money. and they were out of napkins in the entire store!! which youd think would be the bare minimum to keep up on yknow. all the tables dirty too despite clearly not having much traffic....

So I like to get Tyson chicken fries every month and usually I get four bags so it lasts me the month. But the past few days I've eaten any I've felt queasy afterward. This is one of my safe foods, like one of the main ones since I can't cook for myself. I wouldn't be too worried if I could find these white castle chicken rings I used to get a few months back, but my local walmarts don't seem to sell them in store anymore but list them online. So I had a “cheat day” for the first time in weeks. I use air quotes bc I was still in a (smaller) deficit, but the food itself wasn’t nutritious and the macros were a body builder’s worst nightmare. I’m a sucker for greasy fast food and White Castle in particular has always been a guilty pleasure. But man, it tasted so bad today, to the point where I couldn’t even finish it. Not even the mozzarella sticks! And I normally LOVE mozzarella sticks! I swear I could only taste stale oil and the suggestion of flavor. I guess this is what several weeks of “clean” eating does to a person. 🫤 I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I wish I’d had a salad instead.

It’s an industry that is a backbone of our society, yet get portrayed too often as undesirable “crappy” jobs or a stepping stone while somebody figures their life out. I like when media focuses on the moment and how a character acts while in that role, having adventures involving the work or after shifts.
