Thinking of getting a membership at a gym. Just trying to be more active nothing serious. I have been debating between North Side YMCA and Crunch Fitness on North May. Which one will be less busy after work around 4:30pm? I know all gyms are busy around this time, but hoping to go somewhere not super crowded. Appreciate any help I can get!

Does anyone have any info on when the crunch fitness in Kenosha is opening?

I'm a planet fitness member, but am looking at crunch, as it's still relatively cheap for a basic membership, but has barbells for bench press, squats and deadlifts. There's a free 1 day trial available, and I'm wondering how much they'll spam my phone or email to try it, or how much of a hard press they'll give me to tour the gym if I just walk in. Any thoughts from members of this location, or the chain in general?

AIO Daughter K had a friend S who worked there when they first opened. S signed my daughter and her boyfriend R up with memberships under S’s credit card. K started getting msgs about her account being over due and threats of going to collections. K texts S about it and S said she'd take care of it. Cut to some time passing K is still getting msgs. I’m looking for a good gym in Kitchener, preferably near downtown. I’m a bit introverted, so I’d prefer a less crowded( will use afternoon /late night)and more comfortable environment. I’m not looking for a premium luxury gym, just a regular, affordable place to maintain fitness. I’m honestly tired of Crunch Fitness.

Starting my second assignment in a week-ish. I had good luck in the last spot with a local gym, but I'm considering something that's a chain, so I don't have to find a new spot in every city. I'm thinking Crunch Fitness, and they seem to have sign-up sales pretty frequently. I primarily use free weights, so I don't think Planet Fitness is an option? Are they all only machines?

Just had a couple of reps from Crunch Fitness come into my workplace soliciting memberships out of customers AND employees. Is this something that they're doing widespread or is this a one-off thing that just so happened to occur at my store? Thought it was kinda weird and scummy for them to come into stores to do that instead of just going out in a public area or something. Caused a whole lot of hoopla for us employees having to track them down and get them out of the store because it was irritating to customers who were just trying to shop.

hi, i’m trying to understand how freezing works at Crunch Fitness because i’m getting mixed info and don’t want to mess up my account. my situation: \-monthly fee is about $30+ after tax \-annual fee is $59.99 (+ tax) \-my billing date is may 15 \-i won’t have enough money in my account until may 22–24 i was thinking of freezing my membership so i don’t get charged the monthly fee, but still paying the annual fee when it hits. but if i freeze my membership, does that stop ALL billing or just monthly payments? will the annual fee still be charged even if I freeze before may 15? and is it even possible to freeze but still pay the annual fee separately? i also want to kn...

i am looking at signing up for crunch fitness specially for their child care program. I was wondering if anyone else has done it and what their thoughts are. For context I have a 16 mo boy.

I signed up for a $1 promotion at Crunch Fitness thinking it was a simple, low-risk gym trial. At the time, it seemed straightforward and cheap, so I didn’t think much of it. A few weeks later, I started getting charged recurring fees that I didn’t clearly understand or expect from the way the signup was presented. When I tried to cancel, I was told I also needed to pay an additional cancellation fee of around $40. I contacted the gym directly to resolve it, but they refused to refund any charges and still required the cancellation fee to close the account. Hi there! Started going to crunch late December early January. I have my card and bank set up with the gym, and I’ve even gone into the gym it’s self to give my bank details to the front desk. But I’m kind of realizing I’ve not been charged a single cent, but in payment history it says “draft payment”. Does anyone know what this means? I’ve gone into the gym plenty of times and no one has said anything about it. When I log in the computer says “member has message” but when I would stare and ask what it was, they said “don’t worry about it, happens for everyone” I’m just concerned, by all means if this is just somehow them giving me a free membership on accident that...
