Crunch Fitness, Kingston Ontario review. I really wish i could like Crunch, but I'm going to cancel here and I recommend to everyone to FIND SOMEWHER ELSE! Pros: Good machines. Cons: It was 24hrs, now its closed at 10PM on Friday and 7PM Sat and Sunday. This is a BIG problem for me. Locker room space is terrible. The sauna doesn't EVER work. The sauna has been broken for like 5-6 months now.. No, Its not fixed, and hasn't been fixed for FOREVER now and the sauna was the MAIN reason I switched to Crunch. I’ve worked out in a lot of 24 hour fitness gyms from SF all the way to San Jose and all of them felt cheap and dirty while I tried 3 different gyms in SoCal and they all felt premium, and actually was open 24 hours. The Bay Area is supposedly the richer and expensive area vs SoCal yet why are most of the gyms here so bad vs SoCal. Also, Crunch fitness gyms in SF and San Mateo are like $80 a month vs $20 over in SoCal. Why??

Has anyone successfully gotten Crunch Fitness to waive overlapping cancellation + annual fees in Canada? I recently cancelled because I’m relocating to move in with family in another city with no Crunch gym due to health-related circumstances. I contacted them proactively before the annual fee hit, but they’re still charging both another month and the annual fee because of the 30-day notice policy. I understand contracts are contracts, but this feels more like a system designed to trap timing than an actual member-focused policy. Has anyone had success escalating this to corporate or getting a goodwill exception?

I'm a planet fitness member, but am looking at crunch, as it's still relatively cheap for a basic membership, but has barbells for bench press, squats and deadlifts. There's a free 1 day trial available, and I'm wondering how much they'll spam my phone or email to try it, or how much of a hard press they'll give me to tour the gym if I just walk in. Any thoughts from members of this location, or the chain in general?

AIO Daughter K had a friend S who worked there when they first opened. S signed my daughter and her boyfriend R up with memberships under S’s credit card. K started getting msgs about her account being over due and threats of going to collections. K texts S about it and S said she'd take care of it. Cut to some time passing K is still getting msgs. I’m looking for a good gym in Kitchener, preferably near downtown. I’m a bit introverted, so I’d prefer a less crowded( will use afternoon /late night)and more comfortable environment. I’m not looking for a premium luxury gym, just a regular, affordable place to maintain fitness. I’m honestly tired of Crunch Fitness.

Starting my second assignment in a week-ish. I had good luck in the last spot with a local gym, but I'm considering something that's a chain, so I don't have to find a new spot in every city. I'm thinking Crunch Fitness, and they seem to have sign-up sales pretty frequently. I primarily use free weights, so I don't think Planet Fitness is an option? Are they all only machines?

Just had a couple of reps from Crunch Fitness come into my workplace soliciting memberships out of customers AND employees. Is this something that they're doing widespread or is this a one-off thing that just so happened to occur at my store? Thought it was kinda weird and scummy for them to come into stores to do that instead of just going out in a public area or something. Caused a whole lot of hoopla for us employees having to track them down and get them out of the store because it was irritating to customers who were just trying to shop.
