Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the OrangeTheory Fitness Latest Community Discussions About OrangeTheory FitnessMy Journey so far…1d agoHere’s my journey to significant weight gain to weight loss so far… …I’ve always been on the heavier side, I’m a man that was 5’11” and 215lbs was my adult average weight till my 30s when something broke in my body due to extreme stress and the pounds just came on like a ton of bricks, 100lbs in 6 months and another 65lbs over the course of 2 years and then my heaviest topped 390 at one point. During that time I developed high blood pressure that I didn’t manage and it nearly killed me from an aortic dissection that ran from my ascending aorta through the arch down the descending aorta past the kidney branch into my right leg. Several open surgeries later to repair, my w... Relocating back to the area after 30 yrs advice plz3d agoI'm originally from the Argyle area and have been living on Long Island, NY, for almost 31 years. My husband and I are looking to move back, and I've always loved the FLM area. After visiting my sister in Frisco and looking in the Prosper area, I can't get over how much everything has changed and grown, and how the houses are so close together. Not a fan at all of these huge master communities. We're looking for a good, quiet community that is laid-back and that has Catholic churches nearby. I know there are master communities close to Argyle, which is not where we want to be. I'd like to know what the long-term residents think about the changes that have been happ... Orange Theory Fitness sudden closure4d agoSmall workout studio on Bath road. Seems like they dropped this out of the blue, also seems like the coaches there were not made aware of the sudden shutdown/losing their jobs either. ***** to see as lots of people have been going there for years. Orange Theory fitness9d agoI’m very disappointed!!!!!! I did arrive at studio at 7:34 and I wasn’t allowed to attend a class. Due to some insane corporate policy????? I’m a member since the audio was open and I’m very familiar with working out. I was told it is a safety issue? I’m thinking about leaving and joining another gym. This must be a local rule made by someone not a corporate. “Many operational decisions — including pricing, promotions, membership disputes, and some conduct policies — are handled locally by franchise owners rather than directly by corporate headquarters. “ I’m expecting a call from management. Daily Question To Get Conversation Going…Wondering as a current sales associate.11d ago**For those who’ve been doing Orangetheory Fitness for a while, what did your journey look like from your first class to now? What changes (physical or mental) surprised you the most, and what kept you consistent?** Am I done for?11d ago40 y/o female, used to be active (yoga, hiking, orange theory fitness), 119 lbs 5'1 - Pain at night which has reduced A LOT since physical therapy and I the can't put my arm behind my back and bend upwards (the motion to put on a backpack or tight jacket). Can't lift heavy items or reach overhead holding items. Can someone circle my actual injury expanded and explain? Having trouble with loneliness in my mid twenties13d agoI (25M) have been living in my college town for about 7 years now. I graduated Dec 2022 and have been working in the area since. I bought a house in 2024 and my gf (23F) has moved in. We spend most of our time outside of work together - I love her and our relationship. Over the time I’ve spent working since college, I have noticed a consistent decline in social interaction. I have truly reached the point to where I do not feel as if I have friends anymore. Most of my friends have moved, changed significantly (for better and worse), or have just downright moved onto different social circles. I can still reach out to these people and talk to them, but it doesn’t feel the same. I feel ext... I am a new member in NYC - so many of the studios I look at have a message like: "Before visiting, you must reserve a class in advance using the schedule on the studio's Wellhub page", but then there is no "View Schedule" button for that studio. What do I do? This is the case for so many studios in Manhattan. Rate my resume!17d agoLooking for a new role in digital or technical project management, ideally as a senior project manager. I was job searching all last summer, and based on my response rate, I'm sure my resume could use some work. I'd love feedback on my resume or any other advice that can help my search. Thanks in advance! How does OrangeTheory fit into your overall fitness plan ?17d agoI started OT about 2 months ago. I’m loving it but I’ve been thinking about training for a 5k and 10k. Most training plans recommend 1-3 days of speed work or interval training with the majority of the training being running at a conversational pace or cross training. To me, most orange theory treadmill workouts are most similar to speed work as they either involve intervals or a tempo run. it’s a great workout but is it too much to do this kind of work 3+ times a week? As I figure out my own plan, just curious to hear how OT fits into everyone else’s overall fitness goals. Do you always do it as prescribed ? Do you do other things outaide of OT? Do you have a strategy for wo... Gyms in Visalia? OTF?20d agoHi all, I am new to the area and looking for feedback on gyms. I used to be a member at Orangetheory Fitness in SLO and absolutely fell in love with it. I saw they recently opened an Orangetheory in Visalia. Has anyone tried it or had an experiences the care to share? Would love to get back into it and need the class based instruction otherwise my workouts are a little lackluster lol! Thanks in advance! Lupron Depot/Gallifrey weight gain29d agoI have received two 3.75 mg shots of Lupron Depot. I take 10 mg of gallifrey at bedtime. I can’t believe how much weight I have gained in a month, and I workout 5 days a week at Orangetheory Fitness. I am shocked and it’s killing my self esteem. Question about arthritis30d agoI’m 61 and have arthritis in my big toe joints. I manage it pretty well with supportive shoes and Celebrex. But I’m also working out at least twice a week at OrangeTheory Fitness, which includes power walking and some running on the treadmill. What I’m wondering is whether this activity is making my arthritis worse. I really really don’t want to do exclusively non-impact exercise. Who here has worked at Orangetheory Fitness in Elk Grove38d agoI'm currently in the middle of getting certified as a personal trainer and I'm debating if I should apply there as a fitness coach. For those who work there currently or used to work there, what was it like and how do you prepare for this job? I've been getting active recently and I was considering applying as soon as I pass my certification. Any tips and guidelines would be much appreciated. New Season of Strength38d agoSaw this on the Orangetheory app in Promotion Terms. As you can see, I've been flirting up and down with breaking the 200lb mark and this morning it was a breakthrough! I mean, yes it's 199.9 but it's a 1 dang it! Now, to answer what I see most people ask, here are my stats/apps/things, etc: * I have a Withings BodySmart scale that I really like * I'm 5'4" ish, 48 yo, female in perimenopause (yayyy ?? ugh, lol) * I use MeAgain for shot tracking as well as seeing the progress markers in the 2nd and 3rd image * I log everything I eat in the Lose It app- I, in the past, had gotten down to 180 with this method and didn't feel that it was restrictive--just kept me honest about what I was putting into m... I’m trying to decide whether I should just join Orangetheory Fitness classes or get a personal trainer. My main goal is to tone my body, especially my stomach. I’m completely new to working out and I’ve never really worked out before but I’ve started noticing more belly fat recently and just feels sluggish overall. I don’t necessarily want to lose a lot of weight I just want to tone up. Would Orangetheory Fitness be enough for my goals, or would working with a personal trainer be better as a beginner?
