Looking For Alternatives Can Be Exhausting

9h ago

So, i get these little moments sometimes in a day, where i get curious and actively look for Reddit alternatives. I typically source the Play store first because I prefer an alternative to have a mobile app. And then I use search engines of course. Sometimes alternative app stores like fdroid, if you type in" communities" forum stuff comes up. I found some interesting stuff doing it that way. I'd say the most obvious annoying thing I come across, are the articles that have a title saying something like, 'Check Out These 12 BRAND NEW REDDIT ALTERNATIVES That Are Blowing Up The Internet! " And of course, when I open the article and see them listed, it'll be Quo...

Hot Wallet vs. Hardware Wallet: Which Do You Actually Need?

10h ago

Every crypto user eventually has to make this choice: do you keep your coins in a mobile app (hot) or on a physical device (cold)? The answer usually isn't either/or, but rather about knowing which one to use for your specific situation. To help you decide, here is our breakdown of the pros and cons for each: **Hot Wallets (Software)**: Apps on your phone or browser extensions (like Phantom, MetaMask, or Trust Wallet) that connect directly to your crypto assets. The Pro: Ultimate convenience. You can send, receive, and trade instantly from your couch. They are usually free and very easy to set up. The Con: Since they are connected to the internet, they are more vulnerable to hackers...

MMS and Calls work, Data does not.

10h ago

Switched to Cogeco Mobile less than a month ago. Great price due to already being a TV and internet customer. Ported numbers for mine and my wife's phones, all was great...until the other day. In the middle of the day, I lost all internet capabilities. No apps load, no Google, maps, banking, nothing. Still able to text and call, but nothing else. Now my wife's phone is the same. We ha e a Samsung and an IPhone. Spoke with several Cogeco techs. Went through OS updates, reset network settings, re-entered APN settings, acciunt review of data usage and even got new ESims. Nothing worked. They have made a case and I am now waiting for a call from technical management. Not sure what they...

Help me - RCS/T-Mboile Black Hole

10h ago

Y'all, I love my light phone III so much. It has changed my life in so many ways. Sadly, about two weeks ago after having used my light phone for several months without issue, I started having issues with texting. I am stuck in the RCS + Tmobile black hole. Basically, everyone has to select to send their text as SMS or else it won't go through. Here is what I have done so far: * de-registered RCS this was about a week ago * Called t-mobile twice and have opened two separate tickets with the engineering team to turn off advanced messaging features. They are not comprehending/handling this request well so far, not sure why as I use very specific language but I am calling back tomo...

T-Mobile 5G/LTE internet issue on iPhone

10h ago

Hey all I have an iPhone 17 bought from Apple unlocked and got the carrier deal with T-Mobile. Ever since I have had my phone, the T-Mo 5G/LTE internet has never worked. I can use WIFI for internet at home just fine and since I am work from home and rarely need to leave, it's not been too big of an issue. I've have kept it up to date with iOS updates and other updates needed. T-Mo suggested a new phone (I got Apple care) since it could be defective but I haven't gone that route yet. Today, I decided to try an experiment since my phone is unlocked. I downloaded a free trial of Google Fi since it runs on T-Mo's network. I got it setup via esim like T-Mobile and the Googl...

Creality Cloud Bug: Cannot edit non-original models on desktop — Cloudflare blocks ALL source URLs from Printables and...

10h ago

Hey r/Creality — posting this to see if others are experiencing the same issue, because I strongly suspect this affects everyone uploading non-original models on Creality Cloud. **The Bug:** When editing a non-original model on desktop, the form requires you to enter the original source URL. When you paste any URL from Printables.com or Thingiverse.com, Creality's servers trigger a Cloudflare block showing "Attention Required | Cloudflare." The form then cannot be submitted at all — the Cloudflare error shows highlighted in red and blocks submission completely. https://preview.redd.it/0kmlp08dpfyg1.png?width=2372&format=png&auto=webp&s=666937f28a4...

Moto Phone and WiFi Calling on Visible and MobileX

11h ago

I have an unlocked 2025 Moto G Stylus that I purchased from Google Fi. I put a Visible physical SIM in the phone. I noticed that anytime I turn the phone on, I always have to re-enable WiFi calling. I recently started to use the phone with a MobileX physical SIM and I have the same problem. This means that I cannot trust a Moto phone with WiFi calling outside the US if I have a Verizon MVNO.
