Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the LA Fitness Latest Community Discussions About LA FitnessRIP LA Fitness Whittier4h ago2015-2026 - closed as of 2pm today. The corporate overlords at Fitness International, LLC, who couldn't care less about Whittier, have decided to shutdown a community amenity because they decided they need to pillage even more money from us. They will be giving the place a landlord special and reopening it in short order under their new influencer-native brand "Club Studio" where monthly membership prices will be raised 109% to $134, mirror-selfies for IG will be encouraged, and $15 smoothies and acai bowls will be on deck. Hopefully those that loved and depended on the place can find a good replacement. SAVE $100 ON SIGN UP WITH LAFITNESS8h agoHey everyone — I wanted to share something that might actually be useful for a lot of people in this community I’m a GM at an LA Fitness in Florida, and I work with memberships that have **nationwide access** — meaning you can use them at locations all over the country. For anyone living in their car/SUV or traveling a lot, a gym can honestly cover a few big needs: • Showers & locker rooms • A consistent place to recharge (physically + mentally) • Space to move, stretch, and stay healthy • A routine/“home base” in different cities Right now I have a **“friends & family” discount code** that gets you: **$100 off sign-up** **$29/month n... Swimming pool recs for laps?14h agoHey everyone, as the title suggests I’m looking for swimming pool recommendations in town that are not LA Fitness lol. I used to swim competitively back home when I was younger and I’m looking to get back into it now as an adult. I don’t mind driving far since pretty much everything is a 20 - 30 min drive where I’m at (off 211 area). Worth mentioning: I would prefer somewhere that’s not too crowded since I’m a bit insecure about my physique and my guess is most casual swimmers in town are either former or current military, law enforcement, fire department, or athletes / fit people in general 😵. Would just be more at ease with a not so crowded location. Thanks in advance. Looking for NOLA gyms1d agoThere’s shockingly no La Fitness here which I’ve never seen before. I’m looking for two gyms. A good gym to train Muay Thai or kick boxing and a weight lifting gym. I’d prefer something a bit more upscale and not as crowded as a planet fitness with all up to date equipment. I’m in the garden district area. Walking distance would be great but I also don’t mind driving within 20 mins tops. Using LA Fitness as a guest1d agoHi all, I’m travelling to LA from the UK for 5 days in 3 weeks and was wandering if i’d be able to use LA Fitness as a gym and swimming pool? I’m a fitness freak so struggling with the size of my hotel’s gym and swimming pool so wandered if guest passes were as easily available like they are at gym’s over here? Sorry if this question had been asked multiple times. This better be it for the old ownership2d agoIf Lakers want to be serious contender, Mark Walters and the new owners better take full control. Walters know how to build a winning team like the Dodgers for example. He can put in the right basketball people and have a GM that knows how to get talent, whether it’s a first round pick, or a guy at your local LA Fitness. Unfortunately Rob Pelinka doesn’t fit his philosophy so he got to go. If Lakers want to be serious, they need the new owners to do their thing while the old ownership can go work on other stuff. Any suggestion on what's better wrt gym?2d agoHi I was so used to Lifetime fitness Mason, especially group workouts but I have left that since I have moved to West Chester. Lately I have joined body alive fitness but I miss working out. I thought of joining LA fitness but in two minds Can anyone suggest pros and cons of LA fitness? I have mostly don't group workouts but thinking about doing it on my own too. It's just that mason got a bit far in this gas economy and needed to take a call. Pools and hot tub never working2d agoThere are 6 LA fitness clubs near me, (north NJ) and not one has the hot tub and pool both working. Only two pools are open and one of them is freezing cold. Two hot tubs are open and one of those is cold. Who is the most fun guard to model my build after?2d agoi was thinking like a taller ja but his build has buns shooting. i want a 3 level scorer like ant but faster, kinda like js a tuff bucket u would meet at a random open gym at la fitness or sum shi. recommendations? Local LA Fitness in Irvine, CA at the Crossroads allows Nazis and other **** symbols (including swastikas) into their gy...2d agoI can't decide between Uptown and the North Loop2d agoI made [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/TWINCITIESHOUSING/comments/1svtj9e/is_uptown_still_a_trendy_place_to_live/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) post two weeks ago and got a lot of good answers and helpful feedback! Since then, I have narrowed my options down to one place in Uptown and one in the North Loop. I am a 24m. The difference in rent between the two places I am looking at is like $150-200 a month (with Uptown being the cheaper one), so I'd have more spending money if I was in Uptown (I'd have to pay at least $150 a month for parking in either place since street parking is unreliable)... My gym crush with a similar schedule as me (at LA Fitness) has motivated me to burn thousands of extra calories and put ...2d agoShout out guy who always wears a green shirt and shorts 😩🌸💖 I actually like LA Fitness3d agoAs the popular gym in the US, LA FITNESS is actually pretty good. Yeah, we ***** and complain about cleanliness, broken equipment, saunas that go down for long periods of time, pools that are often closed but reality is LAF is a good gym. They have all the equipment one could need, they have programs to help folks start, like personal training. They offers classes of all kinds and group instruction. The amenities are terrific for the price point, and many locations have decent sized crowds. Some are overcrowded, I get it, but overall, they are a good club. Some complaints are legit, like dirty showers but a lot of the complaints can passed along to the members, many of whom are disgusting... How busy is the pool at the JCC on Delaware weekday evenings?3d agoThe pool on UB south campus is closing down for renovations so I gotta find a new spot to swim laps. The best thing about it (the only good thing about it tbh) was how quiet it was, rarely ever saw all four lanes in use and it's usually just me and another person. The JCC on Delaware would be the next most convenient for me but I'm worried about being crowded out. Potential fallback option would be the LA Fitness in north buff but I've heard mixed reviews. Would welcome any thoughts. Personal trainer recommendation3d agoHello, I'm 29M trying to get back into a gym routine and I'm looking to find a personal trainer for a month to do so. I'll be taking a sabbatical in a few weeks and was hoping to use that time with a trainer. My current gym is LA fitness unsure if that matters or not. Depending on the price I might continue the program after the month is over. Edit please stop DMing me I have 0 interest in any online programs. Anyone think there's a side hustle in consulting with Airsnitch?3d agoSome of the places that I frequent for recreational use I know are 100% vulnerable. Think, gyms, coffee shops, even shared work spaces. My LA Fitness can barely re-supply toilet paper, there is no way those AP's and infrastructure are up to date. I know that's it's relatively easy to test if a locations Wi-Fi is vulnerable, and I was thinking... If I went to these businesses and said "hey, there's a super vulnerable "hack" that 95% of public Wi-Fi's are vulnerable to. Would you like me to test and remediate for you?"
