Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Rite Aid Latest Community Discussions About Rite AidWhat business type are we missing on Main Street that we could really use?23h agoOK here we go. This has been a thorn in my side for quite some time. And I have lived here in Hackensack for decades. I really like shopping in this neighborhood. I like that we have a walkable Main Street. I can hit Aldi, Lidl, get some great food, and get the occasional pedicure. But there are some businesses that are missing, and it drives me crazy. **All of Main Street is beauty salons, nail salons, barbershops, and food. Also add in a couple of smoke shops and dollar stores. That’s the entirety of Main Street.** There isn’t one single chain pharmacy anymore in the neighborhood. Rite Aid, which became Walgreens, is now gone. CVS has been gone for years. I remember being able to w... Licensed Pharmacist (14 Yrs Exp) seeking immediate Manager or Staff roles - Sacramento & OC/Corona, CA2d ago**Hi everyone! Seeking a new role and would appreciate any leads.** I’m a CA-licensed Pharmacist with **14 years of experience** looking for my next chapter. I am available to start immediately and am open to **Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager, or Relief/Per Diem** roles. **Northern CA:** Sacramento, Yuba City, Stockton (and within 1 hour of Sac). **Southern CA:** Orange County and the Corona area. **Background:** Extensive retail leadership experience (ex-**Rite Aid**). Expert proficiency in **EnterpriseRX, PioneerRX, and DigitalRX**. Interested in direct hire or agency placement (specifically looking for **Rx relief** opportunities). If your store is short-staffed or you know... Blacklisted by CVS 14 years ago due to a medical emergency – 13 years at Rite Aid since. Is the "No-Rehire" ...3d agoI am a licensed Pharmacist with a **completely clear Board of Pharmacy license** and 14 years of professional experience. I’m looking for advice from anyone in CVS HR, Colleague Relations, or District Managers who understand the "Non-Rehireable" flag. **The Situation:** Back in 2012, I was a pharmacist working the graveyard shift at CVS. During my shift, I suffered a sudden, severe medical emergency (violent, uncontrollable hiccups) that made it physically impossible to speak to patients or safely verify prescriptions. At 3:00 AM, I followed protocol and tried calling my PIC and the District Manager multiple times for help. No one answered. Being unable to function and with ... Pharmacy recs?3d agoAfter Rite Aid closed down, I switched to Neugard pharmacy, which I really liked, at first, because the customer service was really good. However, over the past few months, it has gone totally downhill. It almost never has my medication and they have to order it. And it is sometimes closed for no apparent reason and no warning. There have also been times where no one answers the phone because they don’t have enough people there and it’s too busy. It’s super frustrating. Can anyone recommend another pharmacy in the same area? Near the Bay Ridge Ave stop. Dollar Tree Opening at Broadway & Cherry6d agoWas just checking in on the permit status of the old Rite Aid in Alamitos Beach and...it's going to be a ******* Dollar Tree. Looks like they filed permits for upgrades, code compliance and ADA accessibility requirements. So instead of an alternative to Ralph's or another local pharmacy, we get a discount chain with a history of under-staffing, not maintaining properties, pest infestations and selling expired food. For more details about why dollar stores negatively impact local communities, read this 17-point breakdown: [How Dollar Store Chains Hurt Communities](https://ilsr.org/article/independent-business/17-problems/). I am glad *something* is going in, because vacant commerci... Pharmacy Technician Certification7d agoHowdy all! I’m moving to a new state (Nevada) and positions for my current line of work are slim pickings, and I’d like to fall back on something familiar. I was a pharmacy tech at Rite Aid back in like 2013-17 and there wasn’t a requirement to be certified in PA yet. So I have no idea what the process is. I’m still working full time at my current position so I don’t have time to sit in a classroom to learn in that setting. Are there online resources (paid or free) that have worked for you? Is the exam itself something that’s also done online or is that in person? I’ll take the exam regardless of location but more curious. I’m sure this question was asked a bajillion tim... Looking to acquire a pharmacy8d agoI’m a pharmacist by background and graduated in 2020. I currently reside in New Jersey and have held various roles in retail. I worked as a staff pharmacist at CVS, PIC at RiteAid, and a medical information manager for the past four years. Recently, I transitioned to a PIC at a startup. Last October, I purchased a compounding pharmacy in Pennsylvania, but I’m currently a silent partner. I was not really involved in the process and also it’s too far from where I currently live to learn. Over the past five years, I’ve had an epiphany that I don’t enjoy working for someone else and want to work for myself. I’m reaching out to fellow pharmacists to seek advice. Have any of you found... Former Rite Aid Now A Sports Card Store11d agoTurns out that the former Rite Aid is now one of the largest sports cards stores in Southern California or at least in Burbank. Does anyone have recommendations for independent pharmacies in Mid-City-ish?11d agoI am just so tired of terrible service from the major players, and am ready to put up with a bit of inconvenience to support a local independent if possible. I have tried CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and now Amazon. I had been frequenting them because I was under the impression that, although I would rather not frequent a mega-corporation, the ease of access, prices, etc. would be worth it, but each of them has been so terrible in some way, that it just isn't worth it. CVS was the best of the big box stores. I really did think that Amazon would be the answer, but surprisingly, their prices are way, way higher than CVS. I have almost ten prescriptions, so it often gets to the point t... Many Such Cases16d ago100 years ago, there were pharmacies everywhere. They of course sold drugs but often were much more. Some had soda fountains, lunch counters, groceries. New ones opened, old ones closed. They were started by immigrants, people who were poor, rich businessmen, passed down through generations, bought, sold. Some were horribly run, dirty, expensive. Some were cheap, clean, and friendly. But something that they all had in common was they were locally owned. A pharmacy was an easy business in principle. Almost anyone could start one. But competition was hard. There were pharmacies everywhere and for a consumer you could count on a pharmacy being where it was most convenient. But as time went on ... Why the long lines all of a sudden?16d agoWhat's with the huge lines at the drive-thru pharmacy and the ungodly line indoors? I know Rite-aid went down, but ****. Why should all the people who have been coming here for years suffer because walgreens wants all them new people's cash. It doesn't seem fair, does n it? My birth control pills I need to regulate my menstrual cycle, Cryselle, is owned by Teva Pharmaceuticals, a company base...20d agoSo, I decided to scan and add the birth control pills I take to regulate my period to Boycatt to see if even one of my medications is BDS-friendly, and it turns out it's not! This is so heartbreaking, I was literally perscribed this to help regulate my menstrual cycle! Now, the brand was originally a different one (I forgot the name, but I believe it started with a T, I think it was called Tevia or something like that), but I believe around 2 - 3 years ago it got switched to this one, Cryselle, which as you can see, is owned by Teva Pharmaceuticals, and according to Boycatt, its headquarters are in Israel, and benefits a lot from Israel's genocide against Palestinians. My pharmacy ... Rude Canadian shoppers!23d agoI live close to the Canadian border. Before COVID, it was very common to be inundated with Canadian shoppers who come here on bus excursions but that pretty much stopped with the pandemic, and then with Trump's bullying of Canada. But today I had to run into Walgreens to pick up a prescription and imagine my chagrin when I saw a Canadian bus in the parking lot. The store was crawling with Canadians huddled together in different aisles, holding conversations and not reacting when someone said "excuse me" to get by them. And I know they were Canadian by the frequent interjection of the sound "eh?" in every sentence. I proceeded to the pharmacy counter, which is always... History25d agoGoing through some boxes and found this. I never enrolled in the 401K The sad disappearenfe of two pharmacies here..26d agoThe Rite Aid was close to home and the last one within walking distance from me and it closed late last year and i miss it dearly😢 are you able to use your certification as pharmacy technician when u pass??30d agoHi I recently got hired at Walgreens as a pharmacy technician and I start training tomorrow but if i do pass this test for pharmacy technician will you be able to use it anywhere else?? like another pharmacy? Im just curious because im already seeing a bunch of rite aids and cvs’s closing in my area and there is only one Walgreens where I live Any pharmacies with adderall in stock?30d agohi everyone, RiteAid used to be my go to but since they got shut down I've been hurting for a reliable place to get my prescriptions filled. are there any smaller pharmacies s that have adderall/ amphetamine salts in stock? feel free to DM me . Where to get NP Thyroid31d agoI live in a smaller town and only have CVS or Walmart as pharmacy options (now that Rite Aid has closed). CVS never has NP Thyroid in stock and usually I have to wait for them to get it in, but this time it is taking much longer. Like weeks. I'm getting concerned I won't have my refill before I run out of pills. Does anyone use an online pharmacy for their NP Thyroid and have it delivered? I really don't want to go to Walmart because I *really* **** that place, but my CVS ***** and I'm tired of always getting the run around with my prescriptions, especially my thyroid pills. Walgreens is aggressively trying to poach me for a store manager. They’re aware I’m a mid level manager an currently...32d ago[https://www.reddit.com/r/Salary/s/s5YE4k9PD3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Salary/s/s5YE4k9PD3) They’ve been calling me to work there and I told them that I reported 147k in taxes and I’m on pace to cross 150k this year and I’m comfortable in my current role. They STILL encouraged me that I should interview. I can take physical and verbal abuse. (Former rite aid RPL) What is the most you’ve ever heard a retail manager make? I might jump back into retail from mail order for top dollar pay. Edit: I intend to ask for 200k/yr salary and a 100k non refundable sign on or I will not sign If I had a prescription with rite aid that I picked up a few months ago and I have a refill available but the rite aid c...36d agoIt says online the prescriptions were transferred to another pharmacy for everyone. I use the tool on their website to see where my prescription went back the tool doesn’t actually work. I try to call rite aid support but it says there are no agents available (I’m assuming because they closed all the rite aids in the country) So am I even able to get my refill or is the refill just gone?
