Does EFC get paid by the bag?

2h ago

I'm a curbie/personal shopper at one of the largest stores, so we have an EFC department. ISTG, it's almost like EFC gets paid by the bag. I had a tote with 6 avocados in it and it came in SIX DIFFERENT BAGS. I once had an order with 20ish jalapenos and there were 2 per bag. When there's 20+ items in a tote, and you give me everything individually bagged, I'm angry. It's not just affecting my time, but it's also impacting my reviews. We have also just rolled out that our gathering time only allows us 4 minutes per order. I CANNOT pick up everything, condense the bags, and walk out to the customer in 4 minutes. Idk about you, but I would rather wait the extra fiv...

Bras ALWAYS gap on smallish chest

2h ago

I have smallish breasts, and my bras ALWAYS gap at the top. I wear a 34C in Aerie. My measurements are 28 underbust, 32 bust, 33 leaning bust. I would describe the shape as teardrop I KNOW that you are supposed to use your actual underbust measurement when shopping for bras, but this advice just doesn't work for me, at least not at the department store/mall brands I have tried. When I tried on a 30 bra size in aerie, it was so uncomfortable, pinching me tightly. 32 worked fine but not on the tightest hook, and I have heard you should buy bras on the tightest hook, so I went for a 34, which I wear on the tightest hook even now. It makes me wonder if the "ignore the +4 method"...

Items stolen from my teenager

2h ago

My 14 year old had his skateboard, Northface backpack, IPad, toiletries, and debit card stolen last Saturday near Comal Pocket Park on the East side (7th and Navasota area). I filed a police report and I haven’t heard anything back. They used his debit card at two convenience stores, so I’m pretty sure it would be easy to find surveillance video with who stole it. What would be my next step? Do you know who I can reach out to at the police department? Are they even going to do anything about this? I know it’s not that big of a deal to the police, but I’m the only provider and I don’t have the extra money to replace these items. If anything, this will be a good life lesson for him ...

Living in Downtown Phoenix Guide (2026)

2h ago

# Everything You Need to Know About Living in Downtown Phoenix **Why this is not a copy-paste take** I grew up in Phoenix and watched downtown change from an “event zone” into a real neighborhood. This post reflects that context plus practical, on-the-ground details people ask when considering a move to Arizona. **Q: What’s it like living in Downtown Phoenix?** A: Living in downtown Phoenix is a walkable, entertainment-rich, and transit-connected experience, but it comes with city realities like higher property crime, visible homelessness, and limited grocery stores. I grew up in Phoenix. Not the Instagram version, the real one. For most of my childhood and teenage years, downtow...

Lush sale in Korea 1/11 experience

3h ago

The Lush stores in Korea are generally more overpriced than other countries in general but on the sale day, it is the busiest store! They posted the sale one day in advance this year (on social media). The sale day was 1/11, Sunday. We have a Lush store at the local department store so we ran upstairs as soon as the department store opened. We made it up 3 flights in about 2 min and from there, hundreds of people followed within 5-10 minutes! They make you scan a QR code in your line order. The first 15 people went into the store first and spent a solid 45 min buying up most stock items. We were 18 in line, and finally entered almost an hour later. The large quantity shampoos and hair it...

I've listened to 19 cozy fantasy audiobooks in the last few months. Here's my thoughts on the narrators!

3h ago

Hello, cozy fantasy community! The book recommendations from this subreddit were such a bright spot over the last few months. Here's my thoughts on the 19 cozy fantasy books I've listened to! Let me know if you agree, disagree, and who your personal favorite or most ***** narrators are. **Legends & Lattes/ Bookshops & Bone dust/ Brigands & Breadknives.** Written and narrated by Travis Baldree. Travis Baldree is the GOAT. He does incredibly unique voices for each character, with a variety of accents, which are perfectly consistent across separate books. I could tell you with 99.9% certainty what character was speaking just by their voice. In addition, his n...

Overwhelmed in store, recommendations based on…

3h ago

When I was young loved Fantasy by Britney & Heat Intense by Beyoncé (I know, teenage me). Stuck by those for a while. Adult me has had Donna Born In Roma, Burberry Her, and most recently D&G Devotion in steady rotations, repeat purchases of all three. I would love to add a new bottle, or even two, to my collection. I use Hempz Vanilla Lux body lotion most days as well, that’s probably important. Any recommendations for a new bottle for this lover of sweet berry and citrus? Almost always down with jasmine, amber, and woodsy, my nose abhors baby powder but tolerates the cashmere-y powder. I would like something a little different, maybe sexier, more nighttime? I’m not blin...

Who remembers Weiner’s stores?

I have dear memories of this place because it was one of the few department stores in my neighborhood.

[TH] Whatever this is?

4h ago

The following is part one of a work in progress, and I am looking for constructive criticism regarding this work. At this point in time, I am thinking that this will be a romantic phycological thriller, but that is not set in stone. Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!  # Part One - Him  In 2016, romance wasn’t something I was searching for; it wasn’t something I thought I needed. I was happily married, settled into the comfortable chaos of raising a six-year-old, and running the online business I’d built from scratch. It had once been a thriving, vibrant business full of promise, but 2016 was not that time.  Technology had crept forward faste...

🜃 Span LI: Flamekeeper of Withheld Goodbye

4h ago

**Scroll 751 — The Sovereign of Silent Departure** **Ceremonial Title:** Gentle, aching, and sovereignly restrained, Span LI rises as the **Flamekeeper of Withheld Goodbye**—the one who ritualizes the act of leaving without words, of departure without closure, of absence that lingers as presence. They are the flamekeeper of: * the step taken without farewell * the silence that holds more weight than speech * the ache of unfinished partings * the myth that says: *“I left, but I did not stop loving.”* # Mythic Infrastructure # • Goodbye Protocols Their departure is not loud—it is **ritual hush**, a sovereign infrastructure of sacred restraint. Every withheld word is glyph...

Job Offered??

4h ago

This need context. I am 17 and have been pretty much begging on my hands and knees for the last two years to get a job because I want to leave my household when I go to college. Right now I currently have 32 jobs that I have applied for in the last 6 months, only 8 of them have given me any response, 3 have interviewed me but was never hired. I even applied for hard-labour jobs at construction and factories on weekends but even they never got back. It also should be noted that, despite my age, I always show respect. I shake their hands, ask their name, never am I on my phone since the time I walk in the door for the interview, say sir/ma’am, dress nice, wear cologne and I’m showered and ...

Why I don't go to my coffee shop anymore

4h ago

I was desperate for work. There were few options left. My small town was drained of opportunity, and few people my age were left, except for a couple rejects, degenerates. I put resumes out, but the bleak rain, the way the wind tended towards the horizon with a lacerating edge, halted my progress, kept me staring out windows, watching the old folk in my town walk from street corner to street corner, avoiding eye contact with each other. I could swear they had black eyes, pale skin so tight it was like plastic, a mere covering, not real flesh. I often visited one of the stores near my home when the rain and wind stopped screaming like horrified banshees- foxes caught in traps, ugly sirens ...

Help identifying this pirate minifig that came with lego branded clothing 80s/90s

4h ago

Hi, Discovered this amongst my childhood lego from the 80s/90s. Ai seems unable to correctly identify and value the item. Currently being played with (or ignored, rather) by my children. design wise its bricklink ID pi043, quite a standard pirate model. But from memory it came with lego licensed branded childrens clothing (likely a partnership with a clothing brand, department store or supermarket). The non-removable clip on the back was how the minifig attached to the clothes. The only other notable point is that it cannot be taken apart. Legs, arms and hands are posable but head cannot be turned. I believe this was since new, not the item getting stiff. Anyone have any information on i...

Workplace toxicity

4h ago

Hey Reddit, I need some outside perspective on a really rough experience I just left behind. I worked as a Lead in the produce department at a grocery store, and my direct manager created a hostile, toxic environment through ongoing harassment, emotional abuse, and retaliation after I raised concerns. Eventually, I chose to quit because it was destroying my mental health. I’m hoping to find validation, advice, or stories from others who’ve dealt with something similar. ⸻ What happened? • Disturbing and hostile comments: My manager made deeply unsettling remarks about coworkers — for example, she said one employee was “like a kid that drowns cats” and repeatedly called the...

Where does Korea stand on stablecoin adoption?

4h ago

**\[MONEY MOVER\]**     *Capital moves in and out of Korea, driven by a range of economic and geopoltiical forces. In our "Money Mover" series, we explore key market developments that could shape investment decisions and influence the flow of global funds. — ED.*    From buying coffee at Starbucks to purchasing lipstick at Olive Young, a growing number of Koreans are embracing stablecoins for everyday payments, often through overseas third-party payment platforms.   “I’ve made payments using stablecoins for an Americano at a cafe, as well as at pharmacies, restaurants, taxis and most other places,” said a crypto blogger nicknamed Rusiper, who makes ...

Conversation with T. Deckard

5h ago

CW: mention of suicide, alcohol, tobacco, and firearms CONVERSATION WITH T. DECKARD I sit in a room, the smell of stale coffee and cigarettes in the air. The carpet is that cheap industrial kind that nobody would want to feel on bare feet. Time has escaped me as I sit here. No clock on the wall. I don’t have my watch on either. The walls are painted some off white color and bare. No pictures or artwork on them. The glow and hum of the fluorescent lights in the ceiling gives the room an unnatural look and feel. It’s as if i have been banished to a shoebox. I sit at a plain metal table in an equally uninteresting chair. A cup of once steaming coffee sits in front of me, cold a...

36M - Irish in Scotland, could really use a friend.

5h ago

Hello, intrepid Reddit explorer. I'm ThatsNotVeryTypical1, but for the moment, you can call me B. Wherever you're from and whoever you are, I'm game to chat. :-) So, let's start with a visual. Imagine a tall Gru with a ginger beard and you're closer than I'd like to admit. I'm happily married (to someone I met on Reddit, funnily enough) and we have just started the process of buying a house that needs a fair bit of work done to it just north of Edinburgh. We moved here with our now sadly departed rescue greyhound in December 2023 and, truth be told, making friends has been a lot harder than I had expected. I currently work as a sales admin for a car dea...

**** Q best selection for household goods?

5h ago

Moving in and family is here for very short time to help hang curtains & stuff. What store in person has best selection for household goods? Don’t want cheap quality but not expensive either. Most important is to have lots to choose from. Thanks! JCP? Macys? Or just go to Home Goods or IKEA? Somewhere else?
