Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Macys Latest Community Discussions About Macy'sPostgres Connector for Luther — Workflow-Native Database Operations6m agoIf Postgres is a core system in your architecture, Luther’s Postgres Connector integrates it directly into enterprise workflows with strong guarantees around security, performance, and reliability. It’s workflow-native, allowing Postgres queries, mutations, and change events to participate directly in end-to-end process execution rather than sitting behind application-specific glue code. # What This Connector Is Used For Postgres is widely used as both a transactional and analytical database. In many systems, it’s treated as a passive store. With this connector, Postgres can function as: * An active participant in business workflows * A trigger source for downstream automation * A... Is it normal that some shoppers get way more help than others?6m agoHi everyone, I’m looking for some perspective because I’m feeling really frustrated and honestly discouraged. I work as a shopper at Whole Foods and I genuinely try my best. I move fast, I don’t waste time, and I usually have no problem finding items. I mostly work early shifts starting at 6am. When something is missing from the shelf or the sky shelf, I first try to look for it myself in the back. If I still can’t find it, I ask a TM from that department for help. The issue is that almost every time, I have to follow them, wait while they look, or stand there until they’re done. Meanwhile, I’ve noticed that other shoppers — who honestly move much slower than I do — get ve... Help! Favorite chair attacked by puppy8m agoThe 7-month-old puppy pushed her playpen over to my wife’s very favorite chair and tore a hole in the front right corner. She wants me to find a replacement. It has no labels. We bought it in a vintage shop in another state around 10-15 years ago. I am pretty sure it is a no-name department store chair, but I must find another one. 😳 Does anyone happen to miraculously recognize this chair? I need a starting point. There are a billion brown mid-mod style chairs, but most of them are north of $1k and none of them match. Favorite boutiques and thrift stores?17m agoNYC BWT, a DC BWT checking in. I unexpectedly have some time to kill on a business trip Sunday, and I would like to spend it emptying my wallet in your fine city. What are some of your favorite independent clothes boutiques and vintage stores? We have all the big designers and department stores in DC but what we have a shortage of is more curated style. To give an idea of taste — my favorite stop used to be Hamlet’s Vintage but the last time I stopped in he had significantly downsized the store so it’s not as big of a must-do for me anymore. Would love to hear your recs so I can branch out! Flock Safety Cameras48m agohttps://banishbigbrother.com/flock-camera-map/ According to this website, there are 3 flock safety cameras within our town (all 3 are in the Lowe's parking lot for some reason). https://youtu.be/uB0gr7Fh6lY?si=3X0VB9wr93dJZmz0 This video does a great job at explaining what they are, and all of the backdoors into them. It can provide a much better explanation than I can. TLDR; As far as I understand, these cameras track and store information on everything that is in front of them; cars, people, bikes etc. It goes into a database that is shared with police departments around the country. They are also extremely easy to gain access to, meaning any bad actor can find information stored ... **** UPPER MANAGEMENT1h agoI just need to rant a bit. I don't work night crew, I work in the front end and will clode some times. but at my store in the Colmbus division night crew are usually the ones that do the salvage trucks and they get screwed over the most there like 12 people max that work night crew and the have to stock the entire store and unload trucks. Our dairy guy sometimes can't get his own department done because he has to unload other department trucks, and when over have those trucks packed so badly, it causes even more issues. Night crew get paid like $18 an hour, but u have to be full-time and when corporate cames for a vist upper management adds more stuff to there work load and when th... Another one bites the dust1h agoBoomer Manager1h agoSo I used to work in a union grocery store on the east coast and left for a job in the city that payed double during the pandemic until about 1.5 years in they shutdown and I got a job with exact pay managing a team at Aldi for almost 2 years until I took medical time off for an ankle surgery. The union wanted me back and the current manager recruited me back with promises of fast track to union management(gonna retire in 6-9 months blah blah) now its been 7 months and I was promised 2 additional times that I would get full time status in a similar department and they backtracked on that recently as well. I would have stayed at Aldi if I knew it would turn out this way it was more hours an... Friends and Family (Chapter 26, Part 1)1h ago***\* Due to the size of this blog, this chapter will be done in TWO PARTS \**** It was now the year 2000. That summer saw Julie McClendon graduate from a seminary in Charlotte. Sydney Cavanaugh graduated from Queens University with degrees in business and interior design. Sydney had wanted to take up interior decorating. Now, she was about to open her own interior decorating business. That spring saw Jim and Candi add another member to their family. They had another girl, and they named her Lindsay Michelle. April Lynn’s life changed that year. A year earlier, she dated a man who would be the father of her son, Ryan. Unfortunately, he wanted nothing to do with either ... 'Excruciating': London Drugs' long-feared exit from Woodward's a huge loss and worrying signal, warn...1h ago>Operating about 50 London Drugs across different regions of B.C., Mahlman says similar challenges seem to be getting worse in the downtown cores of cities of varying sizes. >“This isn’t unique to Vancouver, it’s the same thing in Victoria, Prince George, Nanaimo, Duncan, Kamloops, Nelson,” Mahlman said. “Until the municipalities, provinces, and federal government work together, they’re going to continue to see businesses close and the streetscapes, especially in our smaller downtowns, have the potential to become ghost towns.” >Mahlman praised the efforts of the City of Vancouver, especially under current Mayor Ken Sim, who has visited the store and ac... What's the dumbest reason a client ever left your 3PL?1h agoHad a client leave us last month because we wouldn't let them store live plants in our temperature-controlled section (it's for food/pharma, has strict regulations). They genuinely thought we were just being difficult. What's your "you can't make this up" story? Curious if I'm alone in the weird requests department. Kenwood KD-6001h agoSaw this turntable in the Navy Exchange in Pearl Harbor during a spring Pineapple Cruise in 1981. Kinda filed it away in the back of my mind but didn't buy it because it came with no tone arm and I wasn't sure what to do about that. Returned to Alameda where the CO asked me to procure stereo systems for his officers' staterooms. While picking up the order from the store in Oakland, saw that the owner had a SME tonearm for sale. He let me have it for the change in my pocket, given that I'd brought him so much business. Took it home on leave and left it with my dad. Departed for a WESTPAC cruise in the fall. Stopped again in Pearl and found that they still had a couple of t... Temporary Market Team Lead position with no additional pay2h agoBasically the title. I am a TM in development who fully runs the backroom and priority fill team at my store. I was pulled aside and offered a temporary Market TL position since our current TL is going on medical leave. The position would last 3-6 weeks, likely longer, and would start in a exactly a month. The position would involve a complete schedule flip (working 6am-2pm as opposed to my current 2:30pm-11pm), losing the guaranteed days off I have built into my availability, and here's the big kicker: No additional pay or benefits of any kind. I would also no longer be able to carpool with my brother who worked in my current department, since our schedules would be flipped. This ... Sure she could use some double jointed arms but I was able to create some really soft feminine poses with what she is given to work with. Ideally, I wish she had a soft goods pareo with a wire to increase her pose ability but for now, I quite like all the vibrant colors. The paint work is so pretty and makes SHF look like cheap department store figures. How did I do with the poses? What are your thoughts on this figure? Working with a university as a freelance designer?2h agoHey everyone! I recently was commissioned by the Director of Bands at my alma mater to do some apparel graphics and logo work for the band department's pep band. For those that are unfamiliar, the pep band is a smaller, off-chute of the band department that will play at specific events, other than football games. In this case, its a basketball pep band. I was told University Marketing was aware they were hiring out a designer and we would be working on jerseys and logo work; however, they recently shot down this most recent design due to it being against brand guidelines, specifically the use of a script that isn't in their guidelines. The entire design is the script, and they&...
