Hi guys, i’ve worked for sainsbury’s for 7 years and currently im an online shopper. i’ve been in this store for about 6 months now. Just curious what other shoppers experiences are with how good managers are at planning ahead. In the 6 months i’ve worked here we’ve only finished shopping on time/early a handful of times and shopping tends to go until anywhere between 9am-12pm. However, someone i know at a different store has more items and more vans than us and finishes shopping early most days. Do i just have a poor management team on my department or is this the norm everywhere? (not complaining, genuinely just curious).

Hey everyone, so I work in a grocery store that so happens to have a coffee bar located in the back (this is not a big chain fwiw). We’ve been struggling financially as a whole over the past few years. Since I’ve worked there, we’ve always been allowed free shift drinks (and we don’t really talk about that with anyone else. Prior to my current job I worked in a high end grocery store as the head of their floral department (and their sole florist) for a bit over a year. Hi everyone - I'm a year 12 student this year and have been working at Woolworths as a part timer in fresh con/deli for just over a year. Fresh con is my home department and that is where the majority of my shifts are. A force who I'm not sure of (store managers or head office?) has recently made a decision to change my department’s shifts so we now work from 6pm to 11pm on weeknights instead of finishing around 9:30pm. Just a random observation. I work at Sephora, obviously, but I shop at both stores. After spending time on the Sephora and Ulta subreddits, I’ve come to realize that some clients really expect these stores to bend over backwards and basically give the place away. I get that for both brands, client experience comes first. And yes, Sephora’s points system could be better. But the level of outrage over birthday gifts is kind of wild to me. Today it was announced that our Amazon Fresh location is closing the outbound department except for pick up orders.. All the employees that work in that department can either switch to other store departments, transfer to other locations or resign. I have a strange feeling that this might be the beginning of the end.
