OMG. Tried to start a screen repair claim for my daughter's phone via Fi chat. They decided there was a problem and escalated it to "priority" support. Had an update a day later with no news. hello! I am currently a service desk associate and have been with Walmart for about 3 years. I was just curious what working overnight is like. I know it pays more which is why I am considering transferring. also since my partner might be working nights somewhere else, our schedules would blend better. I have heard (at my store at least) that the turnover for overnights is veryyy high, and I have no clue how the departments or tasks work. is it worth it compared to days or just in general?

Okay so a little background. I’m 40 and pretty much every job I have ever had has been customer service based even though I **** it. I’ve always had issues with anxiety but was always able to work through it. My last job put me through the wringer and I think it actually damaged me. On top of that my father passed away in 2024 and that sent me into a depression spiral. I’m finally able to handle his passing to an extent. I do see a therapist and psychiatrist. I’m taking multiple medications but as those of us who have been through mental health issues, it can be difficult to find the right combination of things to work it out. Back then the hierarchy was each Supercenter had 1 store manager,below him were 2 co-managers,below them were several ASMs,and below them were department managers for every dept,electronics,hardware,etc. Then all the grunt workers at the bottom of the pyramid. I posted yesterday about the issue I've been having with a hostile work environment I've been dealing with, how it's been affecting my mental health, ect. After trying and failing with department management to get the issue resolved I went to store leadership to see if I could push the issue and look for a solution. I’m not sure if I’m being unreasonable so I want to hear from other team members about this. I’m a gen merch worker (typically closing) and when I first started, things were manageable. I’ve also always heard that TLs and ETLs will give you more work than you’re able to complete and yes it’s been like that but things lately have gotten out of hand. The workload before was manageable in a typical 4 hr shift for me which included, zoning a whole department/block, sometimes adding a zone of a different section from another block, while doing around 3 rounds of go backs and priority push as well as backup.
