Any teachers here who have transitioned to HEB or partners? I’m waiting until the end of the school year to leave teaching and I either want to work at a grocery store or find an office/desk job. I‘d like to start off in the bakery department; the most experience I have is working retail as college student (Ross, Burlington). I would appreciate any insight from anyone in similar situation and those who are already in the bakery department.

honestly I’m sick. Doing OGP has been wild because we do way more than what we’re getting paid for. Like, how is it that every department in the store gets paid the same as us when none of them are doing half the stuff we do? At least compensate us for the extra workload, right? Does anyone else’s store have people who aren’t able to use power equipment and just have other people top stock the whole store? I kinda feel bad for the ones who have to because it’s a lot and the ones who can’t operate power equipment barely even try to help others. They take so long to work their department just so they don’t have to help others. I don’t really think it’s fair. When I went to interview for Home Depot a couple years ago, they’d said everyone gets on power equipment and puts up their own stuff so I’m wondering if it’s just our crew because our department supervisors aren’t really that strict or pushy on people.

Over two and a half months ago, I ordered two crewnecks from the dropout merch store. They were expected to arrive in less than a month, and I was excited to both get the merch and support a company I enjoy. So im gonna keep this vague in case anyone from my store is on this sub but because of certain circumstances my department manager and i have had to work 6 days a week for a few weeks (and probably for awhile longer too) and i was okay with it because i was getting overtime. Well I don’t work for target, I work for market source working in the store as target tech. I pretty much see team leads from different departments bossing around other people who are not even under them. Like fulfillment team lead bossing around the electronics worker to make the area much more fuller, while the area is already stocked up and it’s just one spot. They know that they can’t boss me around because I can reach out to corporate to get them reported fast and so they pretend I’m not there. Do they somehow get bonuses for doing stuff like this?
