Gitman private label / gold quality?

2h ago

Does anyone know if the quality of Gitman oxfords made for private labels or department stores is the same as the mainline? And how does Gitman Gold compare? I've been searching eBay for second hand quality ocbds and keep coming across Gitman made for private retailers like Rochester in my size.

I am worried

3h ago

I dont want to give my store number because I want to stay anonymous as possible but I work the front end, I work hard I stay late (when asked) I show up to work on time and most days early because of transportation. I always get compliments from customers and other team members, I have been asked to train other front end new hires. The reason I am worried is that I am afraid I am going to get fired because we have a department meeting coming up and since that has been announced I've been invisible to my managers and our GM. When I first started six months ago we had a good report we talked every day. The only time I've had a conversation with any of my managers in the last couple ...

I’m DONE!

3h ago

I started working this job three months ago. It’s my first ever retail job. It’s at a certain Canadian sports equipment store that also sells footwear and clothes. My job was alright at first, the managers were chill enough and my coworkers are all super friendly. A month in, one manager has a talk with me to say that he’d like for me to make more online sales and that I should speak on the store radio more. No biggie, I made sure to do both those things. I worked extremely hard at first, but I realized my coworkers were all pretty chill and so I thought that it would be alright if I chilled out a little. I’m not slacking by any means, but I talk to my coworkers and we hang out a lit...

BTW, I was like 3 or something in that life or something when this scenario popped up and the "Surprise Me" button picked the "Start wailing" option for me.

New to fragrances, blind bought Nautica Midnight Voyage, I like it

4h ago

TL;DR - I like it a lot after the initial smell wears off. So I'm getting into fragrances because obviously I want to smell good. Smell adds to the attractiveness and hygiene and the overall aesthetic of a person and IMO subconsciously and psychology elevates an individual in people's eyes. I know nothing of fragrances other than if it smells nice I buy it. I've been buying cheap off the shelf fragrances that have not been doing anything for me other than the occasional one I might find that actually does smell nice. Anyways I started looking into r/fragrances, finding out what clones and decants are, what the terminology is, etc. I wanted to buy an inexpensive "beg...

A theory about the Ingalls family's departure after Season 8

4h ago

Season 9 introduces several big changes in the series, including a new name for the show ("Little House - A New Beggining"), a new opening and most prominently, the news that the Ingalls family are leaving Walnut Grove. The only explanation is that a harsh winter was the last straw for them, so Charles had to sell the farm and move the family to Burr Oak, Iowa, where he'd work at a men's clothing store. Behind the scenes, the reason for that is that Michael Landon was leaving the show for another project, and so it was decided that an offscreen dire season left the family so bad they had no choice but to quit farming and move to the city (or at least a more urbanized town...

[Question] What was the first Watch you ever bought yourself?

4h ago

The Burberry BU1712 holds a very special place in my heart. It was the first watch I purchased for myself and it is only fitting that it takes my first post. When I bought this watch I was 20 years old and working 3 jobs simultaneously. I had just worked a big event as a banquet server and knew my tips were going to be able to cover the basics and still leave me with some pocket change. I drove to my local Macy's and knew I wanted to treat myself. I immediately fell in love with the checkered white dial and the beads of rice bracelet. I opened up a Macy's card to save 20% and wore the watch out of the store for a whopping $140. I know that most people don't like fash...

Decant results

5h ago

I crossed out what I didn't like. I had really strong negative reactions to Aventus/BR540 - I do not get the hype on those at all. Eros/MYSLF/Le Male all feel pretty similar/close to me - I like them, easy wears but nothing too special about them. BDC EDP was a standout and I decided to go for a full bottle of Le Parfum when flying back from overseas. ADG Profondo was pretty good too, but maybe a bit too sweet toward the end of the day - I changed by mind on a full bottle of that after finding a big one on sale a Macy's recently. The second image is more decants I have on the way to try out some more. I find that sampling in stores on strips isn't great for understanding how i...

Transferring stores and departments, should I accept a pay cut?

6h ago

I’ve been a shopper for 3+ years at a high volume store. I want to transfer to a location closer to home, but there aren’t many shopper jobs near me. I got an interview for a position to be a TM in produce at a much smaller store. They are also offering to cross train me in other departments. I’m worried about a substantial pay cut despite my experience AND less hours due to how small the store is. Starting pay in my area for most TMs is $2-3 lower than my pay now. I’ve worked in several different departments at my store to help out when there’s short staffing or a holiday. My supervisors and TL trust me to close the department by myself. I could potentially become a team trai...

Hard to find bra due to health issues

6h ago

Hello. I'm desperate for help and have tried hundreds of bras. I have sensory issues from MS and also skin issues from another auto-immune disease that creates blisters on my upper torso and thin skin that tears easily. I went to a department store to try bras and the cardboard tags left me with scratches and left me in tears because nothing fit.. I was trying 44B's because smaller band sizes were too uncomfortable. I haven't been able to wear a bra in three years, only an undershirt and my girls are looking worse than ever, sagging and looking left and right instead of center. With every bra I try, the right cup wrinkles (that ****** is significantly smaller then the le...

Suggested Travel Itinerary and advice needed

7h ago

Hi everyone, I'm planning a 12-day trip to Uzbekistan this month and would love feedback on my itinerary and some advice at the end. I'm mainly there for sightseeing, but also for some 1. amateur film photography 2. Buy jewelry. **Itinerary:** * **Samarkand (4 days):** Planning to explore the city and nearby areas. Mostly focusing on historical/tourist sites, with one day for the outskirts. Taking a late evening train to Bukhara. * **Bukhara (4.5 days):** Similar pace as Samarkand. Wondering if 4 days might be too much? Departing early morning on the 5th day for Khiva by train. * **Khiva (1.5 days):** Arriving at noon. Planning to walk around the old city on my first day and...

Mission Statement.

$AMP isn’t just another token. It’s the key to unlocking a future where money moves at the speed of thought. The backbone of the most advanced payments network ever built. Instant. Fraud-proof. Decentralized. Final. While the world waits for stablecoin regulation, Flexa already spent five years quietly building the rails of tomorrow. No credit risk. No chargebacks. No middlemen. Just pure, unstoppable value verified on chain and collateralized by $AMP. Visa and Mastercard? They’re legacy systems built before the internet. They need 2,000-person fraud departments and still lose billions. Flexa? It just locks $AMP and settles instantly. No disputes. No reversals. No personal data ha...

Rejection but sugar coated?

7h ago

Context: The image shows an email that I received from a store manager of a grocery store (big chain in Canada), I had interviewed for a department manager position in that store. I waited 1 month for response from them. That store manager has now moved into a DPM (District Manager) role. What are your thoughts and what should I do next? Does this email deserve a response?

[Read on AO3](https://archiveofourown.org/works/62856928/chapters/173542810) “I just realised something, you guys have to see it,” Schmidt read aloud from his phone screen as they were making their way through the beginnings of the Friday afternoon traffic.    “ *Tsk,* ” Volkov went, both at the text message and the driver who had just cut him off. “What’s up with this spy movie ****? If she cracked the symbol, tell her to spit it out. We still have to talk to Milena.”   Vito’s widow didn’t answer her phone when the detectives called to summon her to the precinct. Now they had to drag themselves to the other side of Bellenhaven to interrogate her again.   ...

Walmart Still Hasn't Refunded Me After Police Report

7h ago

Location: Florida On May 4 this year I ordered a PS5 bundle through Walmart. It was delivered the next day from a store around 30 mins from me... except it wasn't a PS5, it was "premium absorbant XL underpads." I took the incorrect item to the location it came from the day of the incident and was turned away by customer service as well as the manager without them even looking into the situation. I was told to call 1-800-WALMART. I did and they sent me a barcode to return in store. I then went to my local Walmart, where I was also turned away by the manager saying they could not help me in store and that once again I had to call 1-800-WALMART. She suggested it may have been t...

Burnt out.

7h ago

I’m so tired of this job. I’m tired of not having support, not being listened to, and of the whole management team in general. This is the worst job I’ve ever had out of 9 in my lifetime. It started off really good, but after a year it’s too much. In my department alone we’ve had 4-5 people quit in the past few months and not a single one has been replaced. It’s always “we’re going to cross train” or “we’re going to hire more people” but never any actual doing. I’ve been hearing the same stuff over and over since April. Not all of them, but some of the guests I’ve had to deal with here are the rudest, dumbest, most self centered people I’ve ever had to deal wit...

[DIY/Hobby] Painting over epoxy/polyester powder coating on steel

8h ago

Might not be the best reddit to post on, so please let me know if I should post elsewhere lol. But I'm doing a DIY project for [this IKEA steel cabinet](https://applink.ikea.com/aB9f3b7S2D). How do I go about painting over this as someone with minimal tools/materials? I was planning on sanding with 180-220 grit, priming, painting, and applying a top coat. But I'm largely unfamiliar with all of this, so I was hoping someone could help me out with product and application recommendations. As far as primer goes, I was thinking about using [Zenssir Bullseye 1-2-3](https://www.acehardware.com/departments/paint-and-supplies/primers/primers/16889). - As the name implies, I can also use...

Collection 7 Years Into The Game

8h ago

Been collecting for about 7 years now. I've tried hundreds of decants and samples and have owned over 60 bottles & this is what I've decided to keep. Feel free to ask about the perfumes I currently own or have owned, as I'm happy to share my experience with them! Here is my Fragrantica link: [https://www.fragrantica.com/member/1208417](https://www.fragrantica.com/member/1208417) [https://imgur.com/a/YMAbCj7](https://imgur.com/a/YMAbCj7) 26M * LV - Les Sables Roses: Probably the favourite rose I've smelled. Tried it at the department store and instantly fell in love with it. I've dried about a dozen other roses, and something about this one just sticks out...
