Every week for the past 4 years I've posted a summary recap of the week's top stories on this subreddit, which I cover in depth with sources in the full edition. Let's dive in to this week's top e-commerce news... ___ **STAT OF THE WEEK:** Nvidia became the first publicly traded company to briefly surpass a $4 trillion market cap last week, beating Apple and Microsoft to the record. The company's stock rose 2.76% on Wednesday to hit an intraday record that pushed its market cap above the $4 trillion mark for the first time, before finishing up th... Moving up in HEB. Feedback from this how has done it.55m agoMy wife and I moved here to Fort Worth due a year now and we've adjusting pretty well. I was able to get a full time meat cutter job with the first month after moving. I learned a lot and still learning everyday. I'm be a meat cutter for around 6 count this year and doing things outside from cutting meat, like running the floor and finally getting a grasp of how FFP works. I pictures all that. There is going to be an opening soon for a shift lead soon, but I feel like it's probably a little too think about it. I want to my career but, I always felt like I wanted to be one of those leaders to know what I'm doing and have knowledge of my department rather than having a titl... Lady Snowflake, Deploy!1h agoGot it from Daimaru with only the tourist discount minus the tax free fee (other coupons don’t apply to GS like other department stores, but the extra percentages would’ve mattered more if Lady Snowflake cost as much as her mechanical counterparts). I’m just happy this is in stock I can take her home immediately. The other stores had multiple diamond quartz options but not Lady Snowflake. Liked the weight of stainless steel resting on my wrist. The sales guy looked at me weirdly for taking the classic wrist picture with the GS counter but hey I’m a tourist (shopping in T-shirt and shorts… definitely underdressed, when so many people walking around in suits and at least pants). Nob... New Rider Encouragement plus a laugh.1h agoI’m a new rider (started 2 months ago when a neighbor gave me their old mountain bike after getting a new one). While not super efficient on roads, I’ve absolutely loved it and fallen head over heels for cycling, regularly logging 5-25 miles a day since. This past weekend I rode in a 30 mile medio fondo, and came in 3rd to last. The 60 mile group was passing me (so encouraging when they did!) and my pace was 9.6 mph. Anyone who is nervous about trying a community ride or race, just do it! This route had a time limit of 5 hours, so I knew I would be fine-and didn’t sweep riders, and while I did most of the route on my own, the packs that passed me were so encouraging, and the atmospher... I smelt niche fragrances for the first time.1h agoAs the title says, I went to fancy department store with the sole purpose of getting to smell some of these very famous fragrances. Some of them are really nice but as far as clones I own that I have blind bought. I wasn't blown away by the difference. Clearest example for me is Aventus, I own CDNIM edp. I like it better than this og, it also seems denser and with more push, Aventus wast a bad smell it just seemed ad bit weak in comparison. I can say there's a certain smoothness that clones don't have in general but it wasn't a big deal for me. I came away pretty happy with my intention of throwing my money away via a lot of clones insteado of the same thing in 3 v... How a Misconfigured Demo Exposed Flock Safety’s 83,000 Camera Nationwide Tracking System1h ago**TL;DR: Flock Safety, the company building a private surveillance network of 83,000 cameras across the US, leaked its own source code, search UI, and a live admin API key online.** Hey everyone, Many of you have probably seen those sleek, black solar-powered cameras on poles in your neighborhoods or on city streets. A lot of them belong to a company called **Flock Safety**, and we recently stumbled upon a massive security failure that exposes the inner workings of their entire operation. # First, What is Flock Safety? Flock isn't just selling cameras. They're selling a service: a massive, nationwide, AI-powered license plate reader (LPR) network. They sell this to police depar... So About That Random Shotgun Action at the End of Storm Watch2h agoQuestion for those who have read Storm Watch. There's a scene near the end where CJ Box has Joe entering the Twelve Sleep County Sheriff Department by a backdoor that opens onto a storage room. All of a sudden, Joe decides to leave his shotgun in the store room before moving into the main work area to demand an in-person meeting with Sheriff Tibbs who has been ducking his calls. He leaves his gun in the storage room because he doesn't want to inflame a potentially tense situation. Later, he grabs the shotgun on his way to another related situation. Ok...but CJ Box never explains why, Joe brought the his shotgun into the department in the first place. It's not like at the p... Any experience with Ralph Lauren footwear?2h agoI have recently had to replace most of my shoes because of new orthotics. Recently I found a pair of sneakers from Ralph Lauren at a department store and they seem to fit me well. I don’t usually associate them with footwear and have never had a pair from them before. Do any of you have experience with them, with or without orthotics? Off the clock means... off the clock2h agoWhile it might not seem relevant to the story, trust me... it is. I work at a small-town grocery store alongside my sibling. I’m a cashier up front, and they're a butcher in the meat department; located towards the back. We live together, too. After finishing my opening shift, I decided to grab a few groceries before heading home. I had a college exam due in a couple of hours, so I was trying to be quick. I picked up my items and went to self-checkout. I tried paying with Apple Pay.... declined. Weird, especially since it worked fine during my break three hours ago. After a few tries, I figured it’d be faster to just go grab my actual card. My sibling had it in their wallet from ... Character Concept [144]: JDS Sōryū (Original Ship)3h agoFaction: Sakura State (State of (South) Japan) Class: [Essex-class Aircraft Carrier](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essex-class_aircraft_carrier) Background: In an alternate timeline… The Pacific theatre of World War II was a ****** affair, having claimed the lives of millions of soldiers, sailors and civilians alike by the summer of 1945 and the fall of the Volcano and Ryukyu Islands following the Allied victory in the Battle of Okinawa. The Potsdam Conference in July, which saw the leaders of the Big Three powers (later the three Superpowers, Winston Churchill of the United Kingdom (whose status as a superpower would ultimately be fleeting), Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union... found at Argosy NYC - First Book Club Edition - Breakfast of Champions3h agoon a recent trip to NYC I took my kids to Argosy Book Store. i found this copy of Vonnegut on the first floor. we spent some time on the 5th floor looking through the amazing First Editions department. i think you're supposed to have an appointment, but the kind woman managing the room let us in to look. we then took the creaky old elevator operated by the same guy for eleven years, so he said, to The Argosy Gallery on the second floor and perused their collection of art. we probably spent an hour in the store. gotta say the staff was super accommodating. i can only imagine how many annoying tourists come in just to look without buying. totally worth the adventure. Need full instructions for battery replacement for 2018 Volvo XC60 T6 AWD Momentum3h agoDealership wants \~$800 USD to replace the battery. They claim this is due to 1) high cost of the battery itself and 2) complexity of resetting the BMS system. I'm trying to decide if this is worthwhile. I am able to buy an OEM battery from a Volvo service department. My questions are: 1. Is there a more affordable battery that I can pickup from a local auto supply store (e.g. Duraplast, etc.)? If so, should I do this? 2. What are the step by step instructions for resetting the BMS? Thank you! What job are you grateful for and why? I just looked at your posts and you literally just quit your job from the Walmart electronics department. I'd think you'd be more amicable to my statement. And now I quote YOUR post: https://www.reddit.com/r/walmart/s/uAZyCjxRpt "Just quit Hi, for context I worked in electronics for about 5 months, the customers were seriously getting to me, and management was horrific. I mean it honestly felt like management didn't even exist, the entire store ran on associates. I do feel slightly bad since I actually enjoyed my co workers, but whatever, I'm sure th... New Bipartisan Marijuana Legalization Bill In Pennsylvania House Comes As Separate Senate Proposal Gains Momentum3h ago>Bipartisan Pennsylvania lawmakers have filed another bill to legalize marijuana in the state—adding one more reform proposal to the mix as a separate Democratic representative has now pledged to introduce a companion version of a Senate legalization proposal. >Days after Sens. Dan Laughlin (R) and Sharif Street (D) filed their measure, Reps. Emily Kinkead (D) and Abby Major (R)—alongside eight other cosponsors—have filed separate legislation to enact legalization on Monday. The pair have previously championed other proposals to end prohibition. >The House did approve a different legalization bill earlier this session, with controversial provisions to provide for... Murim Login Chapter 5593h agoTeleportation. The spatial movement magic commonly known as Teleport is notorious even among wizards for its extreme difficulty. A single miscalculation in coordinates could spell instant doom, and the mana consumption is so severe that attempting long-distance travel could leave you collapsing from exhaustion. 'The ultimate high-risk, low-reward spell.' But regardless of its difficulty, it all comes down to who is performing it. Just as the supreme sword techniques in the hands of a master are no different from divine skills, the same applies to the Archmage, one of only three in the entire population of seven billion. The last remnants of a legendary Brooklyn department store born in the Gilded Age3h agoI Need help4h agoCan you rate my resume and provide your feedback, Targeting 5+ YoE data analyst roles. thanks Novel set in England a lot like Julie Clark’s The Last Flight4h agoI read a sample of this novel and can’t remember the title. It was published sometime in the past 5-7 years. Takes place in London during Christmastime. Two women switch identities - one is the wife of a rich…politician maybe? who hates her life and I cannot remember the other one’s story but there are switched shopping bags and a taxi and a department store and…I wish I had just bought the darn book when I saw the sample interested me but it was probably full price and I figured I’d wait and get it in the library or something. I’ve regretted it ever since. Anyone know the book and its title?
