I'm just curious if anyone else feels they were inadequately trained for their job. I became a shopper a while back and was reflecting on it, and there have been a few times where leadership expected me to know things I was never taught. It felt like they were judging me like I should know it by now. The judgment discourages asking questions or seeking help. I kind of feel like shoppers are thrown into the job. I mean I had my shift where I went through the store with a trainer, but there are still a lot of little intricacies to learn. There's always something changing in my department too. Hello! This is my sheep Hitsuji. I want to share the story of how I got it. So, I work at Academy Sports and Outdoors in the footwear department. It was November 19th, the day after my birthday. I came to work and brought some left over cake for my coworkers. Blah blah blah. I was employed by a company for 2 and a half years in England. I quit during a shift back in the Summer due to an argument with a manager who has since been made to leave. So Mateo was working in the optometrist department under the books, but then switched with Eugene as Amy’s assistant. But I’m just wondering how he didn’t get caught once. Obviously he had to take calls for Amy and for management that came to the store how was this realistic? Did Mateo have to hide? I'm a nurse. It's JCAHO season, which means we have to do a bunch of meaningless things to get a spotless score, while also doing our daily job. Is it required to have the Bluetooth Calling on MyWalmart (formerly known as Me@WalMart) set up on the work phone(device) provided from your store? . . . I ask, because at my store I do have it set up on my workplace phone(device), but I've been getting calls for questions about other departments when I work in the deli. Getting calls about garden center, TLE, automotive, etc. is both annoying and disruptive to productivity. Sure I can transfer the call, but there have been cases when the customers' calls would get retransfered over to the deli.

On Sundays it’s the absolute worst, haha. I’m an Exception-only worker, I don’t even do normal picks often because of how many we have. On Sundays, I basically have to stock every item that comes through- there’s probably over 100 exceptions within the entire day. Maybe it’s the same for everyone else, but I’m not complaining too much- I honestly like my job for the most part. I’m a weekend worker, who sometimes picks up shifts during the week.
