Everything after that is a choice of gender normality44m agoI had an interesting thought the other day. I was thinking about how people who are non-binary or gender fluid are challenging the normality of assigning genders to certain clothes, hairstyles, whatever. The thing is everything we do vanity wise is just a choice, sure it might not be our specific choices when we're younger, but it's a choice nevertheless. From when our parents choose what clothes we wear, to when they instruct the barber on how they want our hair to be done, to when we're all older and making those choices for ourselves. You often see narrow minded individuals screeching about how "unnatural" it is to go against the grain, but the fact is, even choo... What do people think about vopak storing co2 in Darwin harbour sea bed ? , this is irresponsible and dangerous for us an...46m agoI really hope that this can be stopped, why would you want to be the first in the world to try something this insane . Not sure if we did the right thing48m agoWe were together for two years. When we met, I had just come out of a year filled with panic attacks and severe health anxiety. I was finally getting better. And then I met her — and very quickly I had this feeling of “okay, this could actually be something that fits.” At that time I also believed that I had enough sexual experiences behind me, and that my next relationship would be the relationship — the one for the rest of my life. After two adventurous months of dating, doing trips together, giving each other thoughtful gifts, we became a couple. It was a beautiful time. We spent a lot of time together and it felt easy. Then her exam phases started and she had less and less tim... Anyone tried iPTVisa? Here’s my experience so far (2026)51m agoSo I’ve been testing different IPTV providers over the last months, and one of the services I ended up trying is **iPTVisa**. Sharing my experience here because a lot of people keep asking for stable providers. I’ve been using it on Android TV, Fire Stick, and a Samsung Smart TV, and honestly the service has been **pretty stable** compared to many others I tested. **Here’s what stood out to me:** # 1. Streaming quality Most channels load fast and play without freezing. Sports channels especially have been smooth, even during big matches. Got HD, FHD, and even some 4K streams. # 2. Channel variety A big list of international channels + movies/series (VOD). The VOD gets updated... It’s the passive aggressive Facebook posts that make me feel sorry for her52m agoAfter MIL tried cutting me down in a long Facebook message, my partner stuck up for me and laid it out in a very logical, straight to the point way that instead of having a direct conversation, she dramatically cut us out of family holiday events, plays victim because her son “yelled at her,” and spends ALL day posting cryptic fb posts about being a mother, old pics of my partner & siblings, and posts about how damaged & hurt she is. It’s over the top stuff. For Thanksgiving instead of spending it with her side, we had a nice, quiet dinner with my parents.. being proud of the food & set up we posted a group photo, she immediately liked it, then posted a pic of h... What does living paycheck to paycheck mean?54m agoMight be a ****** question but we’re hoping to buy a house next year so will have our finances very scrutinised I’m sure. I’m wondering what living paycheck to paycheck actually means. For context, we earn £84k between us and have a 2 year old daughter. We have set pots with cards for family spend & food shopping, save approx £500 a month and give ourselves £500 a month each ‘personal’ money. By the time we reach payday, we’ve basically run these accounts down to pennies just through normal spending throughout the month. If we ever need to, we can dip into savings but we don’t tend to as we have tried and tested the amounts we put aside. Is this classed as liv... Men Who Want Kids Don't Love Their Partners56m ago# Men Who Want Kids Don't Love Their Partners # What Decades of Research Reveals About Marriage, Children, and Who Really Pays the Price Let me start with a claim that will probably make you defensive: **Having children is not an act of love for your partner.** The data across decades of peer-reviewed research supports something most men don't want to acknowledge: when men say they want children, they're rarely prioritizing their partner's wellbeing, their relationship's health, or even the reality of raising kids. They're prioritizing status, legacy, and what they think successful men are supposed to do. If you genuinely loved your partner and wanted to gro... Tonight was supposed to be a celebratory dinner. My daughter "Jasmine" (32F) and her husband "Marcus" invited me out to celebrate my retirement. I was excited. I went to the salon yesterday to get my hair pressed. I put on my good church shoes—the ones that pinch my toes but look elegant. I was ready. An hour before we were supposed to meet, I got a text from Jasmine: “So sorry Mom, dinner is canceled. Marcus has to work late at the wa... idea for a louis ck seinfeld spinoff58m agoeverybody thinks seinfeld was a show about nothin but rlly that is reivisonist history. the show about nothin was based on georges bad pitch to nbc in the show. seinfelt was supposed to be a show about how comedians get their material. so my idea would be that louis ck does a version of seinfeld where we see how he gets his material, except that louis had a near death experience n had to get a heart transplant from an nypd police officer who was shot (in the head not the heart) and killed on the job. when louis wakes up, the only material he can write is about this guys life. even when he tries to write his own material (eg. a priest and a lawyer walked into a room, they both had diare... Should I keep going?58m agoI’ve been working in the grocery department at a high volume HEB since July. My hours are usually pretty okay but recently they’ve been pretty bad (with the exception of this past week since it was Thanksgiving). I’ve talked with my department manager and was told that I wasn’t working fast enough. So I started working harder and faster, nothing. I tried asking about cross training with departments that need people, nothing. Luckily for me, I also have another source of income that’s paying me better than what HEB is paying me. I’m mainly just keeping my job at HEB to help pay bills and have a job this next summer since I’m a half teacher at a school. My question is, should ... Brunch in Kaiserslautern?1h agoHi everyone, I'm looking for a nice Sunday brunch spot in or near Kaiserslautern as a birthday gift. Ideally something with: \- Modern, pleasant atmosphere \- Good quality food (à la carte or buffet) \- Not too old-fashioned or overcrowded Places I already know: \- [Brauhaus am Markt](https://www.brauhausammarkt-kl.de/aktionen/) \- [Restaurant Julien](https://www.restaurant-julien.de/brunch.htm) (a bit too traditional for us) \- [Café Extrablatt](https://cafe-extrablatt.de/extras/fruehstuecksbuffet) (tends to be too crowded) What I'm NOT looking for: \- Standard hotel breakfast buffets with the same offerings for the past 25 years \- All-you-can-eat buffets where quali... Acharacle Community Hub | Co-ionad Choimhearsnachd Àth-Tharracail1h agoA post just made in the Ardnamurchan Community Group on Facebook to kick things off… **Acharacle Community Hub | Co-ionad Choimhearsnachd Àth-Tharracail** A Grand Vision for Acharacle and Ardnamurchan - A Call for Ideas and Volunteers An opportunity for our community presents itself in a way not seen for decades, perhaps a hundred years or more. An opportunity to potentially create a stronger, vibrant and more affluent community through the creation of a new facility to promote the interests of our community. As many will no doubt agree, we live in a beautiful yet relatively remote part of the Scottish Highlands. An area offering great pleasure, adventure and peace, yet challenges for... Almost one year old and no solids1h agoHi guys, my daughter is turning 1 in less than a month and still wont accept more than 3-4 bites of puree in a day (if were lucky). Other textures doesn't seem to interest her either. We have tried a variety of home cooked food and even store bought cereals, sauces, pouches and finger snacks. We also eat with her during meals. She seals her mouth shut almost immediately when we try to feed her. We tried BLW at 6mo but gave up because she wouldn't take a single bite. She will chew any inedible item but if its food she isn't interested in putting it in her mouth. At 6mo, she was a bit more interested in solids however, we were inconsistent with offering it due to being so bus... Clarification on legality of managers constantly watching staff through CCTV (NSW retail – Myer)1h agoHi all, I work in retail in NSW (Myer) and I’m trying to understand what’s actually allowed under the Workplace Surveillance Act. At my store, the managers regularly sit in the office and watch the CCTV cameras throughout the day. It’s not just for security or monitoring customer behaviour — they use it to closely observe staff. They keep an eye on when we move between areas, when we talk to coworkers, whether we pause for a moment, or even when we look at our phones. It feels like they’re constantly checking the cameras to see what employees are doing every second. The cameras are visible and the signage is there, so I know the surveillance itself is overt. What I’m unsure abo... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
