My work has been able to partner with a local Fresh Food Market for the second year now to give each employee a 10lbs+ bag of leftover produce when there season is over. This is a real gift since a lot of us are really struggling at the moment and I’d love some ideas of how to really use what I have. I'm trying to buy a wee tabletop Christmas Tree and it seems as though everyone is already sold out. I went yesterday and today to (across both days) 6 different grocery and hardware stores between Lake City & Shoreline. My QFC confirmed that they ran out over the weekend and don't exoect to restock. I know the Hunters tree lot on 35th has a lot of lovely trees, but their stock is both bigger and more expensive then what I'm looking for (a 3 to 4 foot tree, preferably under $40). Good evening all! My partner and I relocated to Nunavut to a remote community for work. Food prices are INSANE and selection is extremely limited. We had talked about getting an aero garden to grow some fresh herbs we can’t get here that we like to use for cooking. After a very small amount of research, I see there’s some set ups that you can actually grow fruit and things. I work at a small city run preschool. It’s 3 classrooms, one with 15 kids and 2 with 25. We have a girl, Lydia, as our “site supervisor”. She kind of does a bit of everything. We made it a whole month of budgeting. 30 full days of information. Our Budget is vastly different than what we thought, but thats okay. At this point, its about learning.
