Gem strategy for Seller event

2h ago

I'd like to preface it that I am 100% f2p and intend to keep it that way. Meaning I don't really have an ability to get a decent scenery. I really want to get the scenery, but I feel like a lot of people have missed their ability to buy it by spending gems earlier on say cosmetics. So far it seems that quality of offers is gradually increasing with each round, so I'd maybe rather wait for the last week offer and dump gems there if it is smth worth it. Painter scenery is kinda.. meh... compared to others. So it would **** big time to buy it if there will be another scenery in the next offer, or smth even better on the last week. P.s. I got bit more than 3.2k gems rn 99% f...

How to build SaaS with AI on Java

2h ago

I got an idea to build my own SaaS project that will be almost 100% vibe coded. Spent a lot of time researching different popular tools and main concerns for me were: * web browser -based solutions. it's not comfortable to develop in browser. * most of them produces apps on Javascript stack. * it's hard to productionalize your project and run it on dedicated infrastructure.  To get you more context, I'm Java developer with huge background in developing back-end services. And I was looking for an AI agent that could build a SaaS using Java platform. I didn't want to spend time learning new platforms.  Finally, I upgraded my favorite IDE Jetbrains Idea and found a ne...

Similan Islands or Komodo for Big Marine Life? (First Liveaboard)

2h ago

Hi everyone I have a question and would love your advice. I am considering doing my first liveaboard and I am trying to decide between the Similan Islands (including Richelieu Rock) and Komodo. Both options would be 4 nights in February or March, and the price is roughly the same. I have 20 dives, Advanced certification, and Nitrox. I am especially interested in seeing big marine life (sharks, mantas, larger pelagics). Based on your experience, which destination would you recommend and why? Thanks a lot!

Tested Ralph Loop to recreate Claude Cowork

2h ago

I came across a tweet from Boris about how they shipped Claude Cowork in just a week and a half, with the entire codebase written using Claude Code. That really got me curious to try it out, but unfortunately Cowork isn’t available on Windows yet. Around the same time, I was seeing a lot of buzz around Ralph Loop. I had tried it a few months ago with Sonnet, but I couldn’t get things done in a single shot and ended up burning through a lot of tokens. This time, I decided to give Ralph Loop another shot using Opus 4.5. My workflow was pretty simple: I started by providing a description and screenshots of Claude Cowork, then broke the work down into small, well-defined tasks that could f...

What I'd do differently if I started dropshipping today

2h ago

If I could talk to myself seven months ago right before I started dropshipping organically, I'd tell myself to wait and learn a few things first. I've been posting product content for seven months and my videos finally average around 22,000 views. But I completely wasted the first four months being totally clueless. I posted daily, tested different niches, followed strategies from other dropshippers. My views stayed between 500 and 700. I thought maybe I picked oversaturated products or my store looked unprofessional. That people who make consistent sales just have better product research skills. I was about to quit and go back to paid ads around month four. Then I stopped random...

I feel like I can't figure anything out.

2h ago

I am 23, currently pursuing a degree I love the most. I am now reviewing for my board exam for I am graduating in April this year. But I am so scared of all the possibilities. For all of my life since I was a teenager, I had social anxiety that I needed someone to be with me whenever I went out. I made a lot of reasons how I did not even attend school when I was in highschool due to my violent depressing household and it all worked out because I am a child, and I have the adults figuring things out for me. I have always been scared of going out, I breakdown whenever I have to think of going out. And when the pandemic happened, it was an opportunity for a useless child like me to not go o...

Exhaustion at the Ivey Scrutiny

2h ago

This is incessant. Guy is just NOW reaching 2 months worth of professional basketball. Broken leg and a knee procedure on that same leg took him out for 11 and a half months and 2 months back into the season, on a team that's #1 in the East, he's being scrutinized to no end. It's like he's a 14-year veteran whose contract is holding back the team's potential to spend and grow. His body language and tone of voice are even being picked apart. Even on a night we just won a nationally-televised game against the second-best team in the conference, and he hit some timely buckets ... scrutiny. I said elsewhere that I think a lot of this is just backwards justification ...

Building my self an eReader Software - DRM FREE

Since there was no other software to do what I wanted I decided to build one my self. Over the years I had purchased more than a few reading apps on both iOS and Android, and of course, you had to get one on the Windows / OSX, spending more if the app was not free. I also wanted a DRM and DMCA free experience and the guarantee the software I am getting is not licensed to me under a monthly or yearly fee for no good reason. Initially I wanted to s...

Side hustle experiment: Using Facebook as a lead machine instead of scrolling

2h ago

I’ve been messing around with different ways to make money online for a while now — affiliate stuff, traffic methods, content posting, etc. Like a lot of people, I spent way too much time posting on social platforms without seeing any real results. Likes? Sure. Actual leads or sales? Not so much. Recently I decided to test something different — a small training that shows how to turn your personal Facebook profile into a lead-generating asset instead of just a social feed. What caught my attention: • No paid ads • No cold spamming • No complicated funnels • No influencer nonsense It basically walks you through how to: ✔️ Set up your profile so people actually ...

AIO Dad freaking out over me buying a house

2h ago

I am 27 years old I have been married to my husband for almost six years and together for ten. We have two children together. We recently made an offer on an older home and it was accepted. I had been avoiding telling my father because we made this decision independently from him and not only does he always want a say but he also likes to have a financial hand in our big decisions. My husband and I are establishing our independence from him as we’ve really started to see his behavior for what it is and it’s only getting worse (even though he has always been extremely controlling and emotionally abusive with me since as long as I can remember). He scares me as I witnessed a lot of DV grow...

25 [M4F] #Europe/Online - Feeling Lonely And Looking for the missing piece to my puzzle <3

2h ago

Hello there! Thank you for deciding to read my post and for giving me a chance! I've been feeling particularly lonely lately, and I am hoping to make strong connections of all sorts to help alleviate the pain of that. Here are some things about me: * My name is Dan. * I turned 25 years old very recently! * I'm not religious and agnostic. * I live alone with my two adorable, beautiful, wonderful cats (I'm 100% sure that they are the most beautiful and handsome cats in existence) in Istanbul/Turkey/Europe (UTC+03:00) * Since 2023, when I graduated from my pilot operations university, I started working my dream job as an airline pilot in A320 family aircraft (I've been a hu...

Finding used bicycles in/around Auckland

2h ago

Kia ora all! After a 5-week round trip back in 2023, my wife and I are coming back for another 6 weeks on the 10th of February. I've got the itinerary sorted, but some places require us to do short stretches of road where our 7m campervan is not allowed to drive (i.e. Mt Sunday, Road to Paradise, etc.). Since there's a bike rack on the back, we figured we'd strap some mountain bikes to it to gain a bit more flexibility. I've looked at some rental options, but renting a bike for 36 days seems to be more expensive than it's worth. Therefore, I figured we'd be better off buying two bikes in/around Auckland (largest market and we're avoiding the large cities...

What % of income goes to rent for you? Trying to benchmark.

2h ago

I'm right around the 30% mark, which feels pretty typical for my city. It's the classic "recommended" limit, but honestly, it can still feel tight some months. A big chunk disappears as soon as the month starts, and the rest of the budget has to be planned carefully. A lot really depends on lifestyle and location. People living in city centres or renting solo often end up going over 30%, while those sharing a place or living a bit outside prime areas can keep it closer to 20-25%. I also look beyond just base rent and factor in utilities and maintenance when thinking about my real housing cost. That gives a more accurate picture of how affordable it actually is.

Someone in my neighborhood either is stalking me or is afraid of me and i can't tell which.

2h ago

I'm a single 44 year old male. I live alone. I've lived where i live for about 5 years. It's a one bedroom apartment Like an inverted duplex one on top of the other one. I live on the second floor. I'll take it back to when i moved in. One day i was stoned, my brother was on the phone with me and i was said i wanted pepper steak. I was yelling cause he couldn't hear me for some reason. I wake up a few hours later and there's pepper steaks on my door. My bro didn't have a job so they didn't come from him, and there was a note attached. it went along the lines of when i moved into my place people didn't understand me, and it went into how they...

My roommate is livid because I’ve asked him not to sleep in the living room. AITAH?

2h ago

Hi, I’m 32F living with a 33M. This roommate and I are best friends who have been living together for quite a few years, and are very comfortable with each other. Recently finances have been stressful for us, so we spoke to the landlord and rented out our third bedroom to another roommate 36M. We don’t know this third person well (at all, really) but he seems nice, if shy. We each have our separate rooms, with the common areas of the kitchen and living room. Before our new roommate moved in, my friend used to sleep in the living room a lot. All the time. I am someone who does not leave their room much, so this didn’t bother me in the slightest at the time. However, I’ve tried to t...

Multiple Ideas

2h ago

Hi all; thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to look this over! I also apologize if some of this crosses over into party composition too. So I am an absolute novice to anything D&D related, and I know a lot of things are different in this game on top of that. However, it still seemed like an interesting game when it came out and I finally got an actual PC that can handle it, so now my brain is thinking up all different ideas for what I’m taking inspiration from to design my characters. I have very little clue if any of the ideas are actually good or not (I’ve done some research but still very new and confused), so feedback is appreciated. First character starting o...

First Time Playing Deckathalon Thoughts

2h ago

no one asked but I felt like sharing anyways so here's a loose collection of thoughts I have while sleep deprived and surviving off of a dinner of tortilla chips and disappointment I never really liked the concept of deckathalon, it felt like a waste of my treasure card hoard and the rewards were gaudy and uninteresting, barring the 2-pip decks. But while working on stitches I actually found one I wanted that would require the upgraded power claw, so I said next time the event comes around I'd learn the meta strats and lock in to get it. And to be fair, I got really close: https://preview.redd.it/ztou9gplngeg1.png?width=428&format=png&auto=webp&s=869626ddb...

Sharing a small but motivating milestone

2h ago

Hey everyone 👋 Just 9 days ago, I launched my first Chrome extension **Tab Memory Saver**, and I’m really happy to share that it has already crossed **34 active users** and is getting **positive reviews**. The idea came from my own pain point — working on **heavy tasks with multiple tabs open**, especially on systems with **16GB RAM or less**, where Chrome starts eating memory fast. This extension automatically suspends inactive tabs so your browser stays smooth and responsive when it matters most. **What it does:** * Auto-suspends inactive tabs after a time you choose * One-click “Suspend inactive tabs now” option * Domain whitelist for important websites * Safe restore of t...

Tracking access created by AI tools in MLOps pipelines tips

2h ago

Lately I’m noticing that a lot of access in MLOps setups isn’t coming from humans anymore. LLM assistants, training pipelines, feature stores, CI jobs, notebooks, plugins, browser tools. They all end up with tokens, OAuth scopes, or service accounts tied into SaaS systems. What feels tricky is that this access doesn’t behave like classic infra identities. Things get added fast, ownership changes, scopes drift, and months later nobody is really sure which model or tool still needs what. Do you treat AI tools as first-class identities, or is this still mostly handled ad-hoc?
