Sleep training a 1.5 year old – is there actually a light at the end?

1h ago

Looking for some honest experiences from people who sleep trained (or re-trained) their toddlers around 18 months. For context: my son was sleep trained at 4 months using Ferber and it honestly worked amazingly. He slept great for months and bedtime was actually something we both loved. We had a really nice routine and it felt like bonding time. But when he turned one he went through some things where he needed a lot more comfort, rocking etc., and he basically lost the skill of putting himself to sleep. Now he’s 1.5 and nights have gotten really bad. I know teething plays a big part but we have had a lot of nights where he will wake up at 3am and just stay awake but want to be rocked f...

Remember maki is a ***** paid by Gojo clan to make megumi future power weak and Yuta stronger

1h ago

Remember that when megumi became a head of the zenin clan then he gained power in jujutsu society and became member of big 3 clans and had lot of money and soldiers. Maki purposely killed everyone in Zenin clan because she knew that her bum boyfriend yuta would be weak in front of the great zenin clan since she knew yuta would inherit Gojo clan money and power so she purposely killed everyone in Zenin clan to make megumi power weaker and live their own lavish lives with good future while ruining megumi.

Getting Taken Advantage of by Neighbor?

1h ago

Location: Minnesota Hi everyone, I am wondering if it is worthwhile for us to consult an actual lawyer, or if we just chalk this up to a really terrible lesson learned? So I own a house, and shortly after we bought it, the house next door was also sold and purchased. One day, we got a visitor to our house saying his boss was going to demolish the house next door and then build his dream home. They wanted to level the lot to do so, and would need to extend the leveling into our yard, so they wanted to know if we would take our fence out and be okay with them digging into our yard and removing a tree. In exchange, they would put sod down in our yard, re-plant new trees, and help us put ...

Crankrocks was so painfully disappointing

1h ago

I've been a big crankdat fan for a while. saw him for the first time two years ago and it was such a well mixed, high energy set that I immediately fell in love. I saw him twice last year and had noticed a bit of a decline in quality but figured it was due to him not headlining the event (first opener for Lights all night). when we saw he was doing his first red rocks show we got really excited, thinking he's gonna put some serious energy into a debut like that. Driving back to Texas right now feeling feeling like we made the wrong call on this one. Big notes: I know this isn't his fault but the crowd was generally pretty rude and inconsiderate throughout the night. its...

How specialized can a nation be?

1h ago

Hey everyone, I really wanna make a hyper specialized run, where I pretty much only build staple crops, livestock ranches, maybe fisheries and grocery stores, everything else is imported (so trade centers needed as well), also ports/railroad for infrastructure, bureaucracy buildings too, and that’s it, no furniture, no clothes, import everything else, and only export groceries, be the ultimate breadbasket of the world. Question is: is it possible to pull this off? I’d assume that having MAPI states would be super important, otherwise A LOT of money would be deleted, tech rushing to base MAPI 95 seems to be extremely important as well. Question is: is it even possible to have a functioni...

Hello, I had IIH back in 2019 which was revolved with Diamox. Also, weight loss and getting my iron on track. Fast forward to 2026, I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been and work out and run regularly. Out of nowhere earlier this year, I started getting the whooshing sound again, but only in my right ear this time. Got it checked out by my neuro-opthomologist and it’s not IIH. Since then I have been sick with a cold three times in a row and the whooshing has only gotten worse as has my anxiety. I had some anxiety before but this has been unmanageable. I’m navigating the medical system to get the right tests, etc. and even met with a neuro specialist recently. It seems like this whole pro...

Is Living the Dream worth the money???

1h ago

I'm a newcomer to Tomodachi. I just played through the demo for Living the Dream, and it was super fun. I never played the 3DS game and had no idea what it was like, but I had played through all of Miitopia, so I ported some of my Miis from there. It was enjoyable and left me wanting more, so I thought what the heck, I'll go check the eShop. I was shocked to see that the game was as expensive as freakin Breath of the Wild. Like, I know it's got lots of customisation and stuff, but can it really be that big?? I can't see it having more content than Miitopia from what I've seen. I really want this game because I enjoyed the demo, but I dont want to hand out a bunch ...

I finally finished the light novel.

1h ago

About 40 to 50 days ago I reviewed the anime, and it really interested me so I picked up the light novel from the start. Thank to those who recommended me to read it from the start! I read about a little more than half a volume per day, with it 40 or so days of my life got ****** out from this adventure, after finishing it I felt like waking up from a long dream. Reading such a long series for the first time showed me just how time consuming reading can be, even more so than gaming. Let me tell you the advantages of reading from the start after watching the anime. Reading all the internal monologues of Rudues felt different from a 3rd person view of the anime, there was a lot of real word ...

auce Zhan - Chinese Raw Denim

1h ago

Sauce Zhan - Chinese Raw Denim Living in the middle of the atlantic looking to purchase Raw Denim has been a little daunting since we have no shops here selling anything like that. For me purchasing American branded Raw Denim has been put into a different perspective the last couple of months and in January I decided to purchase my first pair of Raw Denim jeans. I found a couple of reviews of Sauce Zhan jeans giving me the sense that these might be really good. So I took the jump and purchased through AliExpress from his official store. It took 10 days for the jeans to be shipped to Iceland and I must say I am truly blown away from the quality of these jeans. They might be a little to bi...

To PhD or to not to PhD?

1h ago

After my masters in Materials Science from Germany and Italy, I am currently finishing with my masters thesis with a big industry partner in France. My next options after this is to apply either with the same company as a R&D doctorate (3 years) or apply elsewhere for research positions where I am very interested in some projects at EPFL working in similar domain. I never wanted to stay in academia, but at the age of 22 I am still open to a lot of options which are there and unfortunately I am still not certain about my next steps even in the last stage of my masters. Does having a PhD limit you from switching to industry especially in Switzerland? Is the 'opportunity cost&...

I can chat so much **** I’ll leave that for when yous message me. Either comment or send me...

PSLE Math Syllabus Changes for 2026 P6 Kids

2h ago

Hey everyone in r/PSLEworries, I've been digging into the PSLE Math syllabus updates because my P6 kid is in the thick of it this year, and I know a lot of us are stressing about what's coming. With the new curriculum rolling out fully by 2026, there's some real shifts happening for Primary 6 students taking the exam. It's not a total overhaul, but the tweaks make things a bit lighter and more focused on reasoning. Let me break it down simply so we can all prep better. First off, the core structure stays the same. PSLE Math (0008) tests Numbers and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics. You'll see nine main topics: Whole Numbers, Fractions, Decimals, Per...

Childhood loot

2h ago

Hi all. Looking for some advice on a recent find of mine. I came across my old childhood warhammer carry chest from around 25 years ago. Lots of middle minis in there (which i recognise), but there’s a third layer of minis which I’m almost sure are Mordheim. The mordheim logo looks really familiar. I remember building skeletons and a card slot together terrain town but can’t find to find those. Can anyone point out what I’ve got here? Is there a complete warband in this? I would love to strip them and have a go at painting properly. Are these valuable? I can see there is a thread in here for getting started. My local games store runs some mordheim meets. I’m tempted to learn ...

r/BoxOffice Long Range Forecast: Results from the 2025 Fall/2026 Winter Edition

2h ago

During fall and winter, r/BoxOffice took part in a Long Range Forecast edition for many films. 4 weeks out from their premieres, we'd offer predictions for its domestic debut, domestic total and worldwide total. And that leaves the question: how close we were on the predictions? That's the point of this, to grade our efforts. How do we do this? This is the model scale: A (less than 20% difference), B (20-34.9%), C (35-49.9%), D (50-64.9%) and F (over 65%). The scale was slightly changed, mainly cause to get an A+, it'd be almost impossible (to date, *The Monkey* remains the only film to get a perfect prediction across the whole board). So it was accomodated, now a film only n...

My (M21) girlfriend (F20) cannot take care of herself and I'm worried we don't have a future because of it

2h ago

I've been working and saving non stop since I was 13, both me and my girlfriend come from families that lived in extreme poverty and I've been on a mission to make sure we don't end up in that situation ever again. I'm working on getting a degree while working full time and I have a future planned out, a savings account dedicated to one day buying a home and I'm buying my first car next week. My girlfriend is such a passionate woman and I love her but I feel like I'm the only one between us that's trying to build a life rather than just sitting in the moment, we've been together for almost 5 years and for the most part I spent it waiting for her to gro...

I Can’t Charge At Home, Is It Still Worth It?

2h ago

So my current car is getting pretty old at 18 years old right now. It’s been a great car (got it as a hand me down) but it’s age is definitely starting to show and the price of gas for it has worn me down a lot (last time I got gas it was $112 😭). I also moved into the city for university and it’s a pretty big SUV and it’s just not super convenient to drive and park there. All of these things have led me to look around at a number of different used cars both hybrid and electric and my favorite out of all of the ones I tried was the Leaf. It’s the perfect size for me, It felt super comfortable to drive an it had all the bells and whistles I was looking for in a car. It’s also ...

Finally…

2h ago

Finally alphabetized my CD collection. Went by artists last name or the first letter in the groups name. Compilations and Soundtracks are at the end and alphabetized by movie title or by title of the compilation. Didn’t bother to alphabetize individual albums by artist yet because I generally don’t have too many albums by each individual group or artist other than Kenny G. I have found a whole lot of Kenny G CDs at the thrift store (7 total).

Forge Finally Set Up!

2h ago

It’s been a few months since I’ve lit the forge! So happy to have it going on its new set up. Prior to this it was moving around from one spot to another, and it didn’t have a dedicated stand. I also didn’t have any refractory in it, just the rigiditized insulation. Back in January I ordered two different refractories, some Kastolite-30 and some Plistix 900f. The Kastolite never arrived and it took over a month before Amazon would refund the purchase. I then bought some ITC-100 HT, but didn’t pay attention to how much I got. Instead of a large tub it was a small one. I decided to make it work, thinned it out a little, and did one thin coat of the 100 HT followed by a thicker coa...

The day my dad found out my brother wasn’t his biological child

2h ago

I don’t think I’ve ever told this story properly, but it’s one of those days I can remember way too clearly. Nothing about the day itself was special. No big event, no warning, nothing. Just a normal afternoon at home. I was in my room when I heard my dad call my mom into the living room. It wasn’t loud or anything, but there was something off about his voice. Like serious in a way that makes you stop and listen without meaning to. At first, I couldn’t hear much. Just low voices. Then it got quiet. And then I heard him say, " Tell me the truth. I don’t know why that stuck with me so much, but it did. After that, my mom started crying. Not like loud crying, more like tryi...
