Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big LotsParking tips for Lake Superior State Lakers Hockey vs. St. Thomas Tommies Hockey at Taffy Abel Arena (Sault Sainte Marie...2h agohey everyone, figured i'd share some tips for the lakers vs. tommies game on 01/23. taffy abel arena parking is honestly one of the easier ones in college hockey, but even a regular game can create a minor headache getting in and out, and being the sault in january just adds that icy layer of fun to the mix. if you really want to skip the traffic jam going into the main lots and get a guaranteed spot right near the arena, check out Prked. it's an app where folks right next to campus rent out their driveways or garage spots for the game. honestly, it's often way cheaper than big city parking, you can ditch the car a short, easy walk from the door, and you'll ski... Is this game massive labour of love?2h agoI never knew about this game until i bought it yesterday. I read about history of development and how this guy Simon saved Hytale by buying his game back. He also promised next 10 year of development which is crazy long and in gaming industry (even when this is indie game) thats very big chunk of your live. He seems to love this project and i love how they communicate and bringing goodies to our table like every day. A lot of new games tend to do massive activity and updates in first month or two and then it kinda slow down to patch per 3-6 months. How do you think will Hytale continue? Binding advice for Nordica Unleashed 98 CA2h agoHi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on bindings for my **Nordica Unleashed 98 CA**, and I’d love to get a few opinions. A bit about how I ski: I still really enjoy **carving and committing to strong turns on groomers**, putting a lot of pressure on the edges and moving quickly from edge to edge. I like both **big, fast turns** and **shorter, tighter ones**, depending on the slope and conditions. At the same time, I like groomers, variable snow, pow (a lot), trees, some switch skiing and occasional park features. For reference, I’m **170 cm / 70 kg**, I ski fairly aggressively but with control rather than brute force. Regarding bindings, the **Look Pivot 15** seems like an idea... We lost higher-value orders without any change in traffic, ads, or CRO2h agoThis started as one of those support threads that you expect to close in 20 minutes. **Client pings us saying:** *“Multi-item orders and higher-value carts have been trending down but nothing in the traffic data explains it.”* We asked for their GA4. Their ads looked fine, organic hadn't moved, and conversion rates weren't dropping. There weren't any tracking issues, and no obvious attribution screw ups. So we ran diagnostcs to make sure it wasn't something at the foundation level. Nothing showed up. What finally cracked it wasn’t some new tool or growth trick. We stopped looking at what humans see on the site and looked at what automated systems were ... Get Monzo app and complete sign up using the same number you entered. 3. Add any amount of money to your account 4. Make a purchase. You can add the card to your apple/android wallet and then purchase something cheap on the app store, e.g: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/vostok-story-maker/id1453318714 - this app is 29p, purchase it on your card and then get your free money! You will not benefit from the referral reward without making a purchase. A lot of people are accepting the referral without completing their sign up, therefore not getting the reward. It takes 10 mins! parking tips for springfield thunderbirds vs. toronto marlies at massmutual center (springfield ma 01/23)2h agohey fellow t-birds fans, figured i'd share the parking breakdown for the wednesday, 01/23 game at 7:05 pm. downtown springfield is honestly a mess when the arena fills up, but you've got options if you know where to look. first things first, if you want the absolute easiest experience, you have to check out prked. it's an app where people rent out their private driveways or garage spots, often right next to massmutual center. you can find something way cheaper than the event rate, and the best part is you totally skip the long lines of traffic heading into the big garages and the ridiculous exit bottleneck after the game. it's a short walk and a quick getaway. ... PSA -- Be sure to check your state / country / regions labor laws at least once per year -- Don't get taken advanta...2h agoEvery region has different rules & regulations per labor laws. I have worked as a manager in the retail & service industry for many years and I have seen far too many people get taken advantage of. Example: I transferred to a new location when the management staff quit with no notice. During this time, there were a select few employees that were assisting in a big change at another location. I was in the middle of putting in everyone's hours for payroll, and I discovered that one of the employees had multiple shifts deleted but only received 1 shift in the store transition. In my state, if you were to lose shifts this week involuntarily, they would have to make up for t... (Galen Center Guide)2h agohey everyone, with the usc vs purdue game coming up this saturday i figured i'd share some parking tips for the galen center. it can get pretty crazy around there so hopefully this helps someone out. honestly the easiest thing i've found is this app called prked. people who live right by the galen center rent out their driveways and parking spots. it's usually way cheaper than the official lots and you can book a spot thats just a super short walk away from the arena. this way you totally skip the insane traffic jam trying to get into the main structures. if you want to go the official route, usc has a few main parking structures they use for games. the main on... AITA for "accidentally" breaking up with my boyfriend2h agoTL;DR AT END. Me (19) and my boyfriend (23) have been together for 6/7 months. After a lovely holiday together he ended things with me after an argument on the phone. Stating I deserved better and that he was not good enough for me. Believing he was coming from a place of insecurity I tried to be patient and understanding, of course I was emotional especially being blindsided in this way. I encouraged him to take time to things things through as he may regret make a rash decision like this. He responded saying he already regretted it but it was too late now. He also expressed concern for long distance (he planned to move abroad for a year or two). Saying he knows it won't work because ... HoverNotes: Obsidian AI video note taker hits 10,000 installations 🎉2h agoHi r/ObsidianMD, wanted to reach out and share the awesome news that we have officially hit 10,000 installations on the chrome store 🎉🎉. After struggling at university with taking notes from YouTube video tutorials and educational videos online, I built HoverNotes as a Chrome extension designed for online video note-taking with direct Obsidian vault note storage. Would like to thank everyone that has given the app a try and for the many positive reviews so far (4.7/5.0). When I started working on it a year ago, I could not have imagined it would get this far. It has been an incredible experience building for this community and I’ve grown a lot both as a person and an engineer and s... Carrick is the most relevantly experienced manager appointment since Jose2h agoI've been thinking a lot about the word 'experience'. It has been bandied about a lot, especially with the Interim appointment of Carrick, as well as the 6 year contract given to Liam Rosenior. On paper, Carrick is considered to be the least experienced person to be appointed to either an interim or permanent manager position since Fergie left. (I am not including short term caretakers Giggs, Carrick 1, RVN and Fletcher who managed 13 games between them). Experience when being appointed to permanent or interim: Moyes Seasons as manager: 15.5 Teams managed: 2 Leagues managed: Premiership and Championship LVG Seasons as manager: 18.5 Teams managed: 5 Leagues ... parking tips for colgate university raiders hockey vs. harvard crimson hockey at class of 1965 arena (hamilton, ny 01/23...2h agohey raiders fans, figured i'd share some parking tips for the harvard game on 01/23 since parking on the hill can honestly be a real headache, especially if you try to roll in right before the 7:00 pm puck drop. you want to avoid circling and that long, cold trudge back to your car. first, if you want the absolute easiest parking, check out prked. honestly, i think it's the best kept secret. it's an app for renting out driveways and garages right next to the class of 1965 arena. you can grab a spot way cheaper than the gameday lots, skip most of the main traffic choke points getting into the campus loop, and it's just a short walk over to the arena. check it first... I checked 60+ Shopify brands to see how readable they are to AI2h ago**I spent the last few days looking into how Shopify stores show up in AI answers** This started out of curiosity more than anything. A lot of Shopify brands clearly do **SEO and marketing really well**. They rank, they convert, and they’ve spent years refining their stores. But when I started paying attention to how AI tools mention brands, I noticed something odd: Some Shopify stores show up again and again. Others almost never do. So I put together a way to review store pages and see whether they’re actually easy for AI to understand and reuse. No opinions, no rankings. Just basic clarity checks. I ran it across **60+ well-known ecommerce brands**, many of them on Shopify. ... Hibiscus for Hair, Skin & More: An Ayurvedic Perspective2h agoThere’s something about hibiscus flowers that immediately brings back childhood memories. Maybe it’s the bright red blooms tucked behind a grandparent’s garden gate. Or the way the neighbourhood auntie always had a hibiscus plant that somehow survived every season — heatwaves, monsoons, even cricket-ball attacks. But behind this everyday, almost humble flower is a surprising secret: hibiscus is one of Ayurveda’s most underrated powerhouses. Not exotic. Not rare. Not the kind of herb that gets marketed with shiny labels. Just… quietly effective. And if you’ve ever wondered why your nani swore by hibiscus benefits for hair, or why hibiscus teas have suddenly become a “thing... Why the PhD Journey is Worth the Fear2h ago**Why the PhD Journey is Worth the Fear** Lately, there has been a lot of conversation around the "PhD abyss"—the burnout, the failed exams, and the crushing weight of the "publish or perish" culture. These stories are important, but if you are an aspiring student or a first-year feeling terrified, I want to tell you. Don’t let the fear of the struggle keep you from the beauty of the pursuit. The truth is, a PhD is one of the hardest things you will ever do, but it is also one of the most transformative. Here is why you shouldn't fear starting or continuing: * You are redefining failure. In a PhD, a "dead end" isn't a sign that you aren't g... The Points System: A GUARANTEED system to learn anything if you're desperate enough (Not an ad!)2h agoHello everyone, \[Warning: long-ish post\] So, I'm a programmer and have been learning languages for over 15 years. I also worked as a translator for years, which allowed me to look at learning languages very differently, given how you know, even hobbies feel very differently when you use them to make money out of them. You lose some of the fun, but gain a pragmatic perspective in the process. Anyway, I'm obsessed with trying different ways to learn languages. I've made a large number of discoveries, but never had the time/will to share them online or anything. Just helped friends with languages they want to learn and I keep getting positive feedback, but you know, fri... CAPTURA: Pocket Photography advisor2h agoI just released **CAPTURA**, a camera app focused on helping you take better photos *while* you’re taking them, rather than fixing them in post-production. I noticed that a lot of the time the issue isn’t camera quality, but rather: * Not knowing what to shoot. * Not realizing why a photo doesn’t work until it's too late. The app is built around two main concepts to solve this: **1. Idea Generator Cards**: You describe the current vibe (e.g., *“quiet morning at home”* or *“evening walk in the city”*), and the app suggests: * Specific subjects you could look for. * Framing or angle ideas. * Small details that might be worth capturing. *(It’s meant to give dire...
