So, I recently was offered a contracted position. I really like the company and the support that they can provide. It’s not a big corporation ABA company, which is really nice, but for this decision, it is doing a lot of direct and they mostly only work with one insurance company. It does slightly scare me for that one reason. However, I have talked to a tax person, and if financially, it is no different than me taking a regular salary W-2 position with tax benefits I get. The nice thing about the job is that it not as many hours. But, I also was going to consider taking another part time job to help make up hours just in case.

Today was basically a walkabout. First real public day, shoulder-to-shoulder crowds, a lot of noise, a lot of shiny things. I wasn’t doing deep dives so much as just taking it all in. Big theme I keep noticing: everyone wants to be more than what they started as. Floor care companies showing kitchens. Camera brands pitching whole ecosystems. I came across an ad for this 10 gallon tank with 3 grove snails for $30 last night and when I tell you I SPRINTED to get them. I did option buying in 2024 with a single lot, and by the end of the year I was almost at a breakeven point — not in a big loss, but also not in profit.
