Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big LotsThe rabbit hole of Death1h agoHey guys, first time posting here I’ve done a bunch of personality tests and looked into it a bit because I was trying to understand myself better (like how I think and why I do certain things), and I found this subreddit for the type I supposedly am. Started reading through some posts and honestly… it’s kinda scary how accurate some of this is. I’ve been doomscrolling here for hours lol Anyway I’ll get to the point I think about death pretty much every day. It started when I was like 4 or 5 when I first realized what death actually means. I grew up in a non-religious household and my mom basically told me something like “you’re gonna die someday and then everything just g... Would love some feedback1h agoWorking on a concept for organization TLDWR: Im working on a concept for organization and want to know what you need in a “ceramics tray” Please to judge my sketch this is like a quick design that popped into my head and I had to draw it before it was gone hahahaha! I’m new to ceramics and I’ve seen some interesting things so far. I’ve already been super creative in my beginner class and my professor has mentioned that I may create and bring anything to class outside of school projects so long as I stay on track. Now I’m inspired big time. One thing I’ve notice though is I can be messy quick and I’m constantly reorganizing and cleaning up after myself. I use all my own ... Refining the SFM Anamorphic Camera1h agoNow that I've tested the concept I'm trying to refine the SFM anamorphic lens to perfection. I'm doing this in the stage level (big version from workshop) because it has plenty of straight lines which will reveal any alignment issues, which it did immediately! I dialed in the left and right camera rotation offsets until the lines of the map aligned perfectly, which works great, however if you look at the first image it's very obvious that this is 3 cameras stitched together because you can clearly see the "break" points of the left and right cameras, especially on the back wall as it looks like it's bent in two places, instead of the smooth, continuous, wa... Parking tips for Knoxville Ice Bears vs Fayetteville Marksmen at Crown Coliseum (Fayetteville 03/22)1h agoi figured i would share some parking tips for the ice bears game against the marksmen at crown coliseum on 03/22. parking in fayetteville can be a bit of a mess, especially when the game lets out and everyone tries to leave at once. honestly, your absolute best bet to skip the traffic and the usual entry lines is to check out the Prked app first. it is an app where you can rent driveways or garage spots from people who live right next to the complex. it is way cheaper than any paid lot would be, you get a short walk to the gate, and you completely bypass the main parking lot traffic jam when the game ends. if you can snag a spot on a side street or private property through the app... What nearby state allows alcohol in self checkout??1h agoI swear every time I'm in the grocery store I see tourists taking alcohol to self checkout right past the big sign that says no alcohol in self checkout. My store has completely given up and stationed an employee there at all times to check out just the alcohol for them. What hiring trends are you seeing for fresh developers in 2026?1h agoHere’s a clear, reality-based snapshot of what’s happening for **fresh developers in 2026** (based on current hiring data, industry reports, and real discussions from dev communities): # 1. Fewer “pure fresher” roles (but not zero) The biggest shift: companies are **hiring fewer entry-level developers than before**. * Entry-level hiring has dropped significantly (some reports suggest up to \~70% decline in certain markets) * AI tools are replacing a lot of **basic junior tasks** (CRUD code, debugging, boilerplate) Result: Companies don’t want to “train from scratch” anymore. They want juniors who can **contribute from week 1**. # 2. Skills > Degree (more than ever... Ran vintage flipping and wholesale sourcing side by side for six months and here’s what actually happened1h agoBeen reselling vintage clothing and homeware on Vinted and eBay for two years out of Edmonton. Built it slowly, learned what sold, got consistent enough that I was clearing about CA$1,800 a month in profit by month eighteen. The ceiling I kept hitting was supply. Good thrift store finds are inconsistent and the best pickers in my area have been doing this for decades. Decided to test wholesale sourcing alongside the vintage operation rather than replacing it. Spent three weeks researching before ordering anything. Started with fashion accessories because the margins looked strong and the storage footprint was small. First wholesale order was a mix of minimalist rings, fashion drop earrings,... We are killing our apps with 6-step signups. It’s time for the "Guest" button1h agoHey everyone, I’m Hasmukh, a Web Developer currently diving deep into these small UX details as part of my 21-day thinking challenge. You can find more of my work or connect with me on [LinkedIn](https://in.linkedin.com/in/hasmukh-saini-web-developer). I was thinking about this today. Almost every app has a login screen right at the start. You have to sign up with Google, email, password, verification — sometimes 5 or 6 steps — before you even see what the app actually does. What if we just removed that? What if there was one big button that said "Run as Guest" and you clicked once and jumped straight inside? No forms, no accounts, nothing. You get to try the full ... Civil War?1h agoI've been around both Reddit and YouTube, meaning I've seen a lot of people's theories on this potential plotline for the show. In my own opinion, I do not think it's going to happen. I think it IS an interesting concept, especially because I certainly disagree with how Marinette/Ladybug handled Gabriel's identity as Monarch/Hawkmoth/Shadow Moth. I have previously made comments on other posts where I do say that I can understand her lying to the general public, since that would likely have resulted in Adrien getting harassed or even blamed by people who would refuse to accept his innocence, even though Ladybug would vouch for him. But lying to Adrien was the wrong ch... Cube Nuroad SLX advice1h agoHello guys, I am looking forward to get myself a Cube Nuroad SLX in the insane beatiful molotov´n´black colour. I think it will be a bit darker and more purple then on the pictures, right? I previously had a "normal" trekking bike, which isn't performing that well on my offroad rides and single trails (no drops and stony stone trails). Tried a MTB from a friend and neither liked the flat MTB bars or the, as I personally felt, unergonomic round grips. Also felt slow and coming from my background I am used to and like underbiking stuff. I think a gravelbike would suit me the most, still I am not that interested in a aggressive one to still have fun on long rides and bikepack... AITAH for not attending my parents christmas for the grandkids because my sister was bringing her AH of a husband1h agoSorry this is a long one and reads more as a rant. For context about 5 or 6 years ago my sister let's call her Nicole(37f) and her husband let's call him AHole(36m) we're out at a sports bar one night to watch a football game with my parents, my younger sister let's call her Dani(33f) was watching there daughter my niece while they were out. It was pre arranged that my sister Nicole would not drink and they would pick her up on there way home, but plans changed and Nicole decided to drink without informing my sister Dani, so when it came time to go home Nicole calls Dani and tells her she can't pick up my niece now because she decided to drink and for Dani to bring ... A Consideration Before Buying the Buds 4 Pro1h agoI got the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro just 2 days ago, and will be returning them. But before then, I gathered some thoughts: **First, a consideration:** For those who are 1.) upgrading from bud-shaped design (Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, in my case) and 2.) have a small ear: the stem-shape of these can feel uncomfortable in a new way compared to the bud design, so for comfort and fit for this group of people I would caution against these and perhaps stem-shaped earbuds in general. In my case, it just *hurt* to wear them for just half an hour due to the points they were pressing, and adjusting ear-tips didn't improve things. Instead, personally I found the wing-tip design of the Bose QC Ultra which I... Dating someone on the autism spectrum and need help navigating my fears of asking for what I want so we can have as dire...1h agoI’m 30F, been on 2 fantastic dates with 36M, we’ll call him Raff. Raff told me in the first 10 minutes of our first date that he has autism. I have no feelings positive or negative about it, it’s just another thing about him, like having brown hair or liking sports. We had a fascinating first date standing in the rain for 3 hours feeding ducks and talking non-stop. He’s got so many interesting stories from a very interesting life. He’s gentle, careful, conscientious, thoughtful, funny, and adaptable. I was utterly delighted by first date, he was excited too and we decided to have another date. Yesterday, a week later, was our second date. Just as good as the first. We ate food an... Parking tips for Turnpike Troubadours at Maverik Center (West Valley City 03/27)1h agogetting ready for the turnpike troubadours show at maverik center on 03/27 but figured i should warn everyone that the parking situation there can be a real headache. the main lots usually fill up fast and trying to leave after the show can easily take an hour because everyone gets stuck in the same bottleneck onto 3500 south. honestly your best bet is to use Prked to find a spot. it is an app where you can rent out driveways or garage spaces from people who live or work right next to the arena. it is way cheaper than the official venue lots and you can skip the massive traffic jam at the end because you are not stuck in the main flow. it is just a short walk to the doors and you ... I procrastinate more when I have too much time.1h agoI’ve noticed something weird about myself lately. When I have a busy day, I usually get more done. But when I have a big open block of time, I often do worse. I don’t start faster. I just think longer, tweak small things, and keep telling myself I’m about to do the task “properly.” A lot of the time, that’s just procrastination in a nicer outfit. I think perfectionism is part of it. If something really needs 45 minutes, but I give myself 3 hours, my brain starts chasing the perfect version of the task. Better wording, better structure, better ideas, better everything. Then the task gets bigger and harder to start. What’s been helping me is timeboxing. Instead of leaving th... Parking tips for Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos vs Flying Chanclas at Nelson Wolff Stadium (San Antonio 03/27)1h agofigured i-d share some thoughts for anyone heading to the tecolotes and flying chanclas game on 03/27 because parking at the wolff can be a bit of a headache. honestly friday night traffic in san antonio is no joke especially near the highway 90 and 410 interchange so you definitely want to have a plan before you head out there. first off i highly recommend checking out Prked. you can basically rent out someone-s driveway or a private spot right near nelson wolff stadium for way cheaper than the official lots. it lets you skip the massive lines getting into the main stadium property and usually makes it way faster to leave after the game since you arent stuck in that one-way exit ... Parking tips for Monster Jam at Alamodome (San Antonio 03/29)1h agohey everyone, figured i-d share some info for anyone heading to see monster jam at the alamodome on 03/29. honestly, parking for huge events like this in san antonio can be a massive headache if you do not have a plan because the area gets super congested with families and big trucks everywhere. first off, you should definitely check out Prked. it is an app where you can rent driveways or private garage spots from people living right next to the alamodome. it is usually way cheaper than the official lots and it lets you skip the worst of the traffic since you are not stuck in the main stadium lines. plus, the walk is usually shorter than some of the far-off public lots. if you a... Parking tips for Turnpike Troubadours at ExtraMile Arena (Boise 03/28)1h agofigured i would share some thoughts for anyone heading to see turnpike troubadours and charles wesley godwin on 03/28. extramile arena gets pretty congested since it is right on the boise state campus and traffic usually turns into a total mess on university drive when thousands of people are trying to get into the same few lots at once. honestly your best bet is using Prked to find a driveway or private garage nearby. it is an app where you can rent spots from people who live right by the university. it is way cheaper than the official campus lots and you get to skip the massive traffic jams that happen in the university garages once the show ends. its a much shorter walk and a l...
