Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big LotsHow do high-converting e-com stores build product pages?22m agoHello, I’ve been testing different products for my e-commerce store, and I keep running into the same problem: **creating product pages takes forever.** I’m trying to understand how professional stores do it. From what I can see: * They often have a clear **above-the-fold hero section** (big image + headline + price + CTA) * Then **below-the-fold sections** like: benefits, “our story”, reviews, FAQ, etc.(One example to understand what I mean by "below the fold": [https://theoodie.com/products/avocado-oodie-original](https://theoodie.com/products/avocado-oodie-original) Do these stores: 1. Use a **page builder** like Elementor or something else to design everything manua... Advice needed going through a tough time23m agoI’m 24M from Mumbai (we recently had to move to Navi Mumbai after our home in a slum area was demolished by the government, and rent there became unaffordable). I come from a humble background my dad is a retired taxi driver, my mom is a homemaker, and I’m currently the sole earner in the family. I’ve completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science. I had hoped to pursue a Master’s, but due to financial constraints, that wasn’t possible. I discovered ERPNext about 2 years ago when I attended a Frappe event in Mumbai. If that event hadn’t happened near where I was living, I probably would have never known about ERPNext. That exposure changed my direction completely. Since then, I... Impreza Handling23m agoI just got a 2019 Impreza Premium Sedan at the beginning of Feb to replace my Sentra of the same year. My work 2019 forester is up to 304 on the clock so it was a no brainer to get a Subaru. I just have one question about my Impreza. What dark magic is gluing this thing to the road? I’m on Continental VikingContact 7s atm and I went to a big open parking lot yesterday and fairly unsuccessfully tried to get it to understeer. It simply would not. Is this just a Subaru thing or was I overly cautious in my Sentra which handled like a small canoe.🛶 Dear Rich People - Please buy Adam's Food Fair :)24m agoEvery day I walk by, I just see so much history and potential sitting staring at me. It’s easily one of the best locations in my opinion (Haultain corners), and the thought of it being torn down for some generic, soul-less condo box makes me barf. I don’t have the millions it would take to buy it, but I have a ton of ideas for what could keep these corners thriving. We already have such a killer ecosystem here: Koffi, The Local General Store, and we’ve got great hair, barbering, and acupuncture/healing spaces. The last thing we need is something that competes with our neighbours we love so much. If you are rich and able please feel free to steal some of my ideas: A "day to nig... 33M interested in meeting people and making long-term friendships.24m agoI live in Spain and lately I've been leading a rather solitary life. Perhaps this is a good place to meet nice people to chat with, maybe we could even become friends. A little over a month ago I did a pilgrimage (the Camino de Santiago, along the French route), and I came home exhausted, but I found moments of peace, happiness, and true humanity among my fellow human beings. Combined with other life experiences I've had over the years, I'd like to dedicate my life to others. I enjoy reading (philosophy, great 20th-century authors, academic books, and generally a bit of everything). I struggle with poetry (I've tried twice to read Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal and... Looking For 2 Rooms24m agoHello, I am looking for two rooms in either National City or Chula Vista San Diego with the rent combined to be 1,600-1,800. I know this is a lot to ask for but we really need to move out (three of us). To provide some context, On February 27th, my 18th birthday became one of the most painful days of my life. Instead of celebrating, my parents kicked my sisters and me out and stopped providing for us. It started that Friday morning when we tried to go to breakfast with my mom to celebrate. She told me excitedly that she made a reservation for the next day at her favorite restaurant. Months before, I had told her I really wanted to eat somewhere else for my birthday, but I didn’t make it... Dreading work25m agoI have been dreading work lately and it's upsetting me because I used to feel excited about work. I'm worried I don't look happy to coworkers even though I try to smile and say hi to them I feel like I don't really want to be around anyone. Has anyone else gone through this and what do you do to help yourself through it? I'm in e-commerce. I have been a part time shopper a long time and I think maybe it's burned me out a bit as my schedule is all over the place and I pick up a lot of shifts. Even the 4 hour shifts feel like they take forever and the 8 hour shifts I'm assigned sometimes feel like such a big undertaking even though 8 hrs is typical for m... 21 days, first trip, review and tips25m agoHi everyone, Big lurker around here, before, during, and after my big 3-week trip to Japan, so I thought of sharing my experience, now that the "post coming home depression" is subsiding. For context, we went on late January, early February, long-time anime fans, mid 30s. We did the usual golden route, Tokyo (2) -> Osaka (4) -> Kyoto (5) -> Hakone (2) -> Tokyo (7). (Very long post ahead) For anyone wandering, it's been said here to death, getting a Suica card is painless, the machines are clearly marked, and all of them have English as an option. If you have iOS, just get it on the Wallet app; my wife used it across the entire trip without any ... Restaurants/snacks, shop & hidden gem recommendations25m agoHey y’all! We’ll be in San Antonio soon and already plan on visiting Ripley’s and LEGOLAND. Hotel is booked, just looking for some family fun recommendations while we’re in town. Any must-try restaurants, snack spots, cool shops, or hidden gem stores we should check out? I prefer unique/local places over big chains. Thanks in advance! 🙌 I didn't fight yesterday just to give up today.26m agoHi all, I'm 9 days sober following a massive relapse, and just wanted to share a few mantras/ideas that have been helping me a lot: 1. I didn't fight yesterday just to give up today. 2. Feeding a craving only makes it stronger. 3. I put my ID under lock and key for a reason. 4. Go right ahead and hit the liquor store....as soon as you've had two NA beers first. Once those are done, I promise, if you still have a craving, you're welcome to buy. (It takes forever to finish the NAs, the flavor helps, and the craving always passes). Also, we all have our problems and vices. I have a jar of chocolates at my desk for anyone who wants them. I have never touched them because... Games with a LOT of crafting ingredients, recipes and steps.26m agoI like having a LOT of items to hoard, a lot of crafting recipes with intermediate crafting steps, recipes in recipes in recipes. Ideally, it's a survivalcraft kind of game where I explore, collect items, take them back to my base, have a little farm, etc. Build a big room with tons of chests to hoard all the items in. Example: in the game Staxel, you had to use several workbenches to prepare food: a chopping board to cut up the potatoes, a pan to fry them in, etc. Minecraft with mods is a possible answer but I'm a tad bored with Minecraft. This weekend BTC sold off pretty hard after the Iran strike headlines. Big wick down, a lot of longs flushed, then parti...26m agoHome Owners Association || What you should know27m agoHOAs are one of those things in real estate that people either love or genuinely can't stand — and a lot of buyers don't fully understand what they're signing up for until after they've already closed. Let me break it down. **What is an HOA?** A Homeowners Association is basically a governing organization for a neighborhood, condo complex, or townhome community. When you buy a home in one of these communities, membership is automatic — you don't get to opt out. You pay dues, you follow the rules, and in exchange, the HOA manages certain aspects of the community on everyone's behalf. **What do your dues actually cover?** It depends heavily on the communi... Pirates of The Twenty-Wun Stars: The Godwynne Mutiny -This is short story 1 of 5 in the series that first introduces the...27m ago[The Godwynne Mutiny](https://play.google.com/store/books/details/Jerri_O_Powell_The_Godwynne_Mutiny?id=JZ_SDwAAQBAJ) There was this one time when the crew picked up two stowaways, a rather brilliant average looking bloke named Godwynne and his rather exceptional looking lady friend Miss Becka. Miss Becka was a pretty enough looking lass, but she was a good head taller than her friends and he was at least 6 feet tall. She was a big gal, as strong as she was big if not more so. She had to be every bit of 300 pound and 6 and a half feet tall. If that weren't enough to stand out, she also possessed a pair of breasts that entered the room before she did. Mister Godwynne was a brainy sort ... "lo" v1.53.0 is out: SIMD, **Err variants, performance improvements...28m agoAnnouncing the latest release of `lo` with lots of good gifts! First, a big thanks to [d-enk](https://github.com/d-enk) for making lots of **performance improvements** in the recent weeks. Second, this release introduces a new `simd` **experimental package**. If you run on an amd64 architecture and a recent CPU, you can perform very fast operations thanks to SIMD CPU instructions. Third, this version adds `*Err` **variants** of many `lo` helpers (like `MapErr`**,** `FlatMapErr`**,** `ReduceErr`**, etc.**) whose callbacks can return an error and short-circuit execution when one occurs. Looking forward for your feedback! wtf? Are we now paywalling every last free thought?28m agoI am working a lot with Big Tech and today I got an info that we (as well as supposedly some other) are about to start a pilot collab with a - for me totally unknown - start-up, that seems a) well funded and b) totally dystopic (even if it tells otherwise)… For me the page reads: we plan, that in the future you pay for any knowledge you consume, and if you can not, well, too bad… combined with some palantir-style exploration engine… As I do not want to put a search engine indexable link in here to not push reach, you have to enter arculae(dot)com manually to see it. Did I go to Mall World last night?28m agoI dreamt I was in a mall. Im a paraplegic, paralyzed from the knees down. 9 times out of 10 I am not in a wheelchair in my dreams. This dream i was. There were lots of stores in this mall. I dont remember the individual stores specifically. I rode the escalator and it was SO freaking fast!! Probably 10x faster than a standard escalator IRL. When I got to the top of the escalator, there was a restaurant. Some girl I went to high school w was holding a bag of hot fries that I asked her to hold for me for a second. She basically ate the entire bag of them and I was so mad. I LOVE hot fries haha anyways, I was eating all sorts of different kinds of foods from this restaurant and the flavor was e... 33M interested in meeting people and making long-term friendships.29m agoI live in Spain and lately I've been leading a rather solitary life. What are some good search cards for a mastemon deck?29m agoSo I have a mastemon deck. But I have a big problem with searching in this deck. All of my searches are lvl 4's that can be expensive to play. If I only have 1 memory, I'm not exactly wanting to play a memory cost 5 gatomon just to search my deck one time and give my opponent a lot of memory. I have found Tsukaimon from the Parallel World Tactician deck to be pretty good for this. however I'm wanting to know if anyone knows of any other good lvl 3 search cards for this deck. it could also be just a yellow search or purple search. It doesn't have to be specific to a Mastemon deck. ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
