Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big LotsMy Take on the Hmart 'Cringe' and 'Brain Dead' Controversy.2m agoI decided to take a deep dive into the Hmart malarkey, and this is my take. Before I give my take, the (***someone-else's***) summary described the controversy best. >**The Original Post and Response:** Another creator, known as u/ Soogia1, made a response video saying she actually lingers at H Mart to help white customers who might feel lost. She faced significant backlash from Black and Asian users who felt this was performative and pandering to white people. The original video was deleted, and u/ Soogia1 later apologized, taking the criticism as a learning opportunity. I'm in my 40s now, and throughout my life, particularly in my teen and young adult life, I received ... Should I cancel my order? Users of this specific model please share your experience. (G95SD)2m agoI placed the order a few days ago due to the price I was able to get it at & because payment plans were available. With that being said, I'm considering to cancel my order due to seeing lots of user having issues with not just this specific model, but even the previous ones. Lots of people are trashing the software & smart features. Being able to use it as a TV does sound pretty cool, since I don't have one in my room, but not if it comes at the cost of interfering with other aspects of functionality. Im looking for a monitor that is good for productivity (I work from home) and also gaming. It doesn't have to be 49inches, but I do prefer a screen on the big... 35 [M4F] #USA #OH Looking for nerdy chubby GF.4m agoHello! I'm looking for a partner, ideally someone introverted and passionate about nerdy stuff. Someone who is willing to at least play video games and watch stuff with me. I feel like I'm pretty easy to get along with but I'm probably too laid back for some people. I'm introverted and tend to be on the quiet side, but I'm a people watcher and and I observe things quite well. That said, I can be social when needed. I work full time at an animal research facility doing various things and get to see a lot of cool animals every day. When I'm not at at work I'm at home either taking a nap or playing a game/watching something. I like listening to/watching long ... X15 efficient rpm ranges.4m agoFor anyone that owns a isx or x15 id like to create a discussion since efficiency is always a big thing with anyome that owns a truck So! Ive found the best way to shift these engines is...on flat or downhill within any state that is super flat. 1500 or lower is always the best but remember its easy to push a loaded truck forward with a light throttle position at low rpm on flat or going downhill and skipping gears and shifting the least that you can. Always keeping a throttle position that keeps the boost below 20 or so psi. That always seems to be the key. Now when loaded especially heavy in hilly terrain. In states such as PA or WV where there isnt so much flat to "cruise" iv... 22M Looking to make friends here again lol5m agoYo! I go by Dachi online, and I'm 22. I've made some decent friends here, so i figured I'd try again. About Me: I'm from the Southwestern US, and i currently work full-time from home as I try to go back to school. I enjoy reading(Almost anything. European fantasy and science fiction are my favorites but im getting into historical fiction as well), writing (I'm not very good), science(Anything marine biology or ecology related), history (European or Early African specifically), sports (Mostly football. The lame American one), cars (especially 2000s cars), playing piano (trying to also learn guitar. Send help lol), and gaming. When I say reading, I mean both real b... history of slapping my boyfriend and he punched me twice5m agoHi, I (21F) been in a relationship (23M) for three years. We love each other a lot but we also fight a lot. I need to be upfront: I've slapped him 2-3 times in past arguments after he says bad things. and I know that's not okay. He has reacted by leaving the premises. I'm trying to work on my reactions, and I take responsibility for that. But recently he's started reacting in scarier ways. Past incident (2 months ago): We argued in public. I slapped him (not extremely hard but in a funny way bcs we both were pinching eachother and being giggly and it hit him a little hard more than i expected it to ), and in response he kicked my water bottle aggressively. It wasn't... What if invisigal met Robert before blond blazer5m agosorry in advance for the ****** writing 😭 please give me genuine criticism and lmk what to improve. ‘What a ******* day…’ Robert looked at the tvs through the glass ignoring his surroundings. he sighed while his fore head was pressed against the glass, the people being broadcast were ruthless. He took in the harsh words as he picked his face up off the glass while still intently watching the tv. “Haah I really f- CRASH. The glass next to him shattered, he quickly flinched protecting his eyes. “Hey assholes! WHAT THE ****?! you could’ve gotten glass in my eyes, pretty ******* disrespectful.” Robert quickly scanned the truck and people, They were loading up a bunch of tv... Pisces M & Cancer F do I drop him or keep an open mind?5m agoSo I met this guy online and we have been talking for only a few months but he showed a pretty large amount of interest and would consistently text and call me when he could. I say that because we work opposite times (he’s a doctor and works nights) and we have a time zone difference of two hours. That didn’t really matter much though because he found a way to keep in communication with me considering these factors. He was also very big into FaceTimes. Even to just check in. Well I noticed he would kind of disappear if he felt me pull back or he was doing more than me. For instance he goes on a bachelor trip and is FaceTiming me kind of nonstop which is fine but I felt like maybe his fri... Question to tall people from a short person6m agoI’m 5’8 and when I wore shoes that make me 5’11 which is maybe slightly above average I got so much dopamine when I was actually taller than a lot of people. I’m being honest I absolutely **** being my height, I already have a girlfriend and she has no issue with it, she always tells me to stop being insecure about it but I can’t. It’s always been a big part of my life my dream has been to be tall I get so much dopamine from feeling tall. I guess my question is do you guys still get that dopamine boost even though you’ve been tall your whole lives? I’m considering things like surgery etc. WashU 3L - AMA + My Experience8m agoHi everyone! I am currently a 3L at WashU who needs a break from studying, and I am happy to answer any questions if anyone has any! For some background, I am from California and will be going back there post-grad to work for a V10 law firm. I personally love WashU a lot, and it is thanks to the people here! I have had a fantastic experience with WashU's admissions team and with our career center. The people in admissions are beyond helpful and friendly, and I feel like they truly care about the students at WashU. For example, when we were 1Ls, one of my friends was unable to be in St.Louis to check out an apartment, and someone from admissions literally helped her out with that. O... This game dropping PSVR support doesn't surprise me.8m agoHaven't interacted with this community in a while. Used to play PSVR from 2019-Early 2023(event with a quest) until I got my pc, I just read about PSVR1 support dropping recently and frankly it was bound to happen at some point. Ill do a simple ish breakdown on why it happened in my eyes. 1. (Short Reason) Sony is just incredibly ha4d to work with when it comes to working with game devs. I've known people who tried to publish games on the Playstation store and it is a terrible time compared to other platforms. Id doubt Rec Room would pull the plug on all PS users but they were probably fed up at some point. 2. Probably the best reason. Right now, the ps4 hardware is absolutely ju... A 17-year-old student, paralyzed by analysis and suspected of having ADHD/High Abilities, needs to pass public service e...9m agoHi, I'm Lucas, 17 years old, Brazilian and I need help. Warning: long text, the final question will be in the last paragraph anyway for those who want to skip the context. 1. Suspected ADHD: I suspect I have ADHD. I literally have all the symptoms, so many that every now and then I discover one and it becomes my new focus, because I've simply learned to live with the others, such as lack of working memory; can't memorize any details or dates (all my learning at school is based on recognizing patterns, any subject that involves memorizing something guarantees a low grade); getting lost in the middle of tasks and simply not finishing them; I can forget what I did seconds befor... I just started my own startup: Traffic Ltd.9m agoHey everyone, I don’t usually post things like this, but today I finally decided to share something personal. I recently started my own startup called Traffic LTD. We work in branding, social media management, and web development. It’s still very new, and honestly… it’s scary, exciting, and emotional all at the same time. The name “Traffic” is not random. I chose it because of the three traffic lights: Red, Yellow, Green. • Red represents the client who is stuck, in loss, or just starting out and confused. • Yellow is when they come to us, we pause, analyze, and build a proper strategy together. • Green is the goal when the client is growing, confident, and profitable.... trying to figure out which credit card to get in 2026, any suggestions?9m agoi’m looking to get a new credit card for 2026 and feeling overwhelmed by all the options. i mostly spend on groceries, gas, and some online shopping. i’d like a card that gives decent rewards but doesn’t come with a lot of hidden fees. what do you guys think actually matters when choosing a card these days? do you go for rewards or just low interest? any personal experiences with new cards that made a big difference in your daily spending? curious to hear how people decide Needing motivation in the wait10m agoStill haven't heard from the AS clinic in the big city about a date for an appointment or consult. Symptoms seem to be on a rollercoaster and this unpredictability is much unwelcome during the crushing demands of Advent/Christmas/Epiphany and Finals/Board Interviews (which sadly land on top of each other). On meloxicam 15mg every day. Starting to notice that it doesn't do nearly as much for my stiffness as it use to. It bugs me as to what that might mean. I am told Lyrica could help me out more but I am very reluctant to go 100mg and over as it effects my mood too much, interacting with anxiety and depression meds. My work is all about emotional regulation and if I cannot self r... DFW folks — could this grocery idea actually work or am I delusional? Curious what y’all think.11m agoSo earlier I posted about feeling like every grocery trip is $80+ for basically nothing 😭 and a lot of people mentioned meal prepping, deal shopping, stretching ingredients, etc. It got me thinking about an idea, but I’m not sure if it’s actually helpful or just me overcomplicating life. What if you took the weekly ads from stores (Kroger, Aldi, Tom Thumb, etc.) → pulled the cheapest proteins + pantry deals → and built a full 5–7 dinner plan from that list… using overlapping ingredients so the total stays predictable? Basically a “DFW weekly dinner plan based on whatever’s actually on sale” type thing. Not selling anything — just genuinely trying to figure out if s... Something I keep seeing on 7-10 YOE engineer résumés (that might explain the ghosting)11m agoI’ve looked at a few résumés lately and there’s a pattern I’ve started to notice, especially among engineers in that 7-10 year range who feel ready for senior roles but keep getting ignored. The people I’m seeing aren't underqualified (got the project and shipped real products, worked across the stack and solved complex problems). But their résumés don’t quite show that in a way that lands with recruiters. These 3 issues come up again and again: \> Résumé still sounds mid-level when the experience isn’t. A lot of bullets focus on what was built, not what was decided. Things like “implemented X” or “built Y feature” show execution but not ownership. If ... Last minute booking, how is this area? (Benito Juarez and 6th)11m agohttps://preview.redd.it/ztfiun200p5g1.png?width=2086&format=png&auto=webp&s=a4d5bf78063729619857d87b6b084cbac272c900 My preferred area is usually closer to Playa 88 because that's my favourite beach and it's (relatively) quiet. The closest I've stayed to the highway before was on 35th in Zazil Ha, and I didn't mind how long it took me to get to the beach since I would just take a bike down fifth after walking, but I'm wondering if this is a bit too out of the way on foot (I'm not a fan of the busy central beaches, Playa 72 is the closest to this location I would go hang out). I know Playa is just loud in general but there are definitel... What actually moved the needle in the last 90 days?11m agoThere’s a lot of theory in DTC. Tactics, frameworks, threads, gurus. Cool. But I’m more interested in what actually worked in real life. Here are a few things I’ve seen brands test recently that seemed to move numbers in a real way: ### 1. Changing the offer, not the ad Same traffic, different bundle or bonus. Fast shipping. Free gift. Small shift in what people get instead of just rewriting the headline. ### 2. Post-purchase upsells that feel natural Simple add-ons right after checkout. Stuff that makes sense with what they just bought, not random junk. ### 3. Short-form video that feels real Not polished ads. Just phone videos showing the product, how it works, or someone actuall... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
