In 1976, newly armed with a new camera (but sadly no telephoto lens,) I photographed Operation Sail from the 26th floor of World Trade Center 1. Now retired, I am in the process of rescanning and re-editing my photo's. Time has not been kind to the slides (they were badly stored when I went off to college.) The sharpness pales compared to modern day technology. While they were shot with an excellent camera (Konica T-3, 50mm f1.7) on Kodachrome and Ektachrome, the sharpness is no where near what I can do today. Here is the (almost) complete Ornata group regrouping 11 species of Goeppertia and 1 species of Calathea. They are very often confused between each other because of they extremely similar juvenile look, with those pink or white stripes on the surface of the leaves. But there actually a lot of species which can do this ! The real Goeppertia has not been seen for years now. The two most common species are Goeppertia sanderiana (the Ornata that all grocery stores sell) and Goeppertia majestica !

I’m a tenant of one of the big East Side property management companies and my parking lot has not been touched at all, so me and every other car is still completely trapped in. I'm losing my mind on knowing what the right thing to do is. I'm in my second year of a humanities PhD and considering GEM when I would be 31. I am female, and plan to have a child within the next 18 months and am thinking of starting GEM 2028.
