I need some serious help

1h ago

I am studying medicine. In the first year my first exam was chemistry, I did It in 15 days of study and got max grade. Same for english and another one. They weren’t giant, so my procrastination problem wasn’t really hitting. Now from the first year I still need to do a big one, embriology & istology. I have procrastinated so much, and lost a lot of time. In those days I have finally started to at least study but It’s too late. My resumes are low on pages but very high on informations. So they are tiring and very heavy to understand. I have like 8 days left, I know It is my fault but I seriously don’t know how to get out of this. I know very few things, but there is a milion ...

Mail in no-car city

1h ago

Heya! I have this no-car city where I have a "residential/service grid" and an "everything-else" grid, which has the outside connections. https://preview.redd.it/rjkctoxjed6g1.png?width=1915&format=png&auto=webp&s=9809933d1eb00e4be04081dee791d59a78fe23a3 The two grids are only connected with pedestrian pathways, and there is a one-way outlet from the residential grid to the everything else grid. This functions fine, and all my residents are pretty much walking or cycling absolutely everywhere. The only problem I'm running into is that post offices that gather post from my residential grid never seem to deliver anything, and my mail need ...

Hey, my first forest horror game demo is now live on Steam

1h ago

Hey everyone, I just released the demo horror game. It’s a first-person forest horror experience focused on atmosphere, darkness, and tension. I’d really appreciate honest feedback about what works, what feels scary, and what could be improved. Here’s the Steam page with the demo: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/4130150/The\_Ones\_Beyond/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4130150/The_Ones_Beyond/) Thanks a lot to anyone.

Pinky sticking out

1h ago

Hey I’m a very new drummer. I got a pair of sticks and a practice pad like four days ago and I’ve trying to start with rudiments and all… I’ve watched lots of videos on how to hold your sticks and I think I’m doing fine? However I’ve noticed that when I try doubles (with that weird finger technique I forgot what it’s called) that I can do it fairly well but that I push the stick with three fingers, except my pinky. The pinky sticks out. A friend of mine told me that’s wrong and that I could break my pinky that way. But I have really small hands and fingers so I find it easier and more effective to play doubles with the pinky sticking out. Is it really such a big problem? I do...

1h ago

Hi guys. Massive WEC and endurance racing fan and motorsport in general. Caught the bug big time and got my first 5 models last week. All 5 le mans winners in the hypercar era. The urge to buy more is strong but im going to stick to hypercar and LMGT3 le mans winners. Otherwise im going to broke! These will go in a box under my bed until ive finished renovating and ive made a display for them. Ive taken a lot of satisfaction knowing I have the set and completed my ledger. Just need spark to release the Manthey Porches from 24 snd 25.

How to stop mum from buying fake luxury bags from fb live?

1h ago

My mum watches fb live every night for hours and loves to buy things from them. For some reason, she is always buying luxury products from these scamming livestreamers who claim their goods are “factory rejected” or “free gifts from the store”. She genuinely believes these products are real and has probably spent thousands of dollars on these bags. But come on, what kind of Chanel bag comes in a flimsy plastic bag? I’ve tried multiple times and told her these are fake but she insists they are “factory rejected”. She works really really hard (10-11 hours a day) and earns a decent amount. Of course she’s free to spend her money however she likes. But it breaks my heart ...

What to expect realistically from Steam Sports Fest as a niche Sports Game?

1h ago

We’re currently participating in Steam Sports Fest, but our game sits in a pretty specific niche: pro road cycling. Not football, not basketball, not one of the big mainstream sports, so our audience is naturally smaller but very passionate. We don't currently have a demo and our release is planned for Q1/Q2 2026, so we’re mostly using the Fest for early visibility. Did you still see meaningful wishlist bumps without a demo in similar fests? And did posting screenshots/devlogs/interviews during the Fest boost engagement? Looking for any insights as we're trying to benchmark our expectations and learn from people who’ve been through this already. 🙏 This is t...

Looking for a long-term Partner for a deep and story driven One-Pice RP!

1h ago

Hello everyone! I have been RPing for quite some years now. Of course I went through all the typical settings you´d imagine when RPing. But right now I am pretty focused and interested in One-Piece. Of course the fandom is really deep and diverse, but my Plan would be to kind of create a new crew from the Beginning in the East/West Blue. The Crew would undergo through a similiar development than the strawhats. But I want the main crew to be entirely out of OCs. Generally there will ofc be Canon chars but also a lot of custom Characters and Islands. I am very eager about all this and pretty creative aswell. So I would at least require a similiar interest or creativity in the subject. I cou...

How to Care for Wool: The Complete Guide to Making It Last Decades

1h ago

You've invested in quality wool. A beautiful coat, perfectly tailored trousers, or a cozy sweater. The fabric feels substantial, looks elegant, and cost real money. Now the critical question: how do you care for it so it lasts 10, 20, or even 30 years instead of falling apart after one season? Wool has an unfair reputation for being difficult. The truth is simpler: wool is incredibly durable when cared for correctly, but unforgiving when mistreated. A few basic mistakes (hot water, harsh agitation, improper storage) can ruin even the most expensive piece. This guide covers everything you need to know about wool care. Follow these practices and your wool will remain beautiful, comfort...

Short answer: It's not fearmongering, but it's not that scary either. 1. Technical Side - There's Real Basis for It What UBS says about CTAs and options hedging amplifying volatility? That's true: Academic evidence backs it up: Multiple finance research papers (like the ScienceDirect 2022 study) confirm that delta hedging does amplify market swings, especially ahead of options expiration. Historical data checks out: In 2022, CTA funds made 20% during market drops, proving thei...

[2025 day 0 part 2] Can anyone help me test my solution? I think I am running into an edge case but I can't figure ...

Here is my code [https://gist.github.com/isaacfink/8b2b5125bfe469dd578c7abccd12f8e4](https://gist.github.com/isaacfink/8b2b5125bfe469dd578c7abccd12f8e4) There are two files, the grid file just has a virtual grid implementation, it's a little overengineered because I used AI to generate the boilerplate, for some reason my answer is too high but the in path function does filter out a lot of rects so I am not sure how to start debugging this, I can't even visualize the grid because it's too big

Does Childhood Trauma Make it Harder to Do Well at Work or School?

1h ago

Were you a smart kid at school, the sort teachers said was intelligent and thoughtful? Maybe everyone said you’d go on to have a high-flying career because you shone so brightly. But life doesn’t always follow a straight line. If you experienced trauma at any point in your childhood, it might’ve interrupted that path. Perhaps people called you lazy or unmotivated in the past, and you started believing them at some point. Here’s the reality, though. You aren’t lazy. You’re exhausted because your biology is working overtime to protect you. Childhood trauma makes it harder to do well at work or school because it makes your brain prioritise safety above everything else. But event...

Free 6 Months Premium for the First 100 Users. AI Meal Scanner and Fitness App

1h ago

I built LINA originally for myself, not as a commercial project. Earlier this year I wanted a simple way to track calories and protein without having to weigh food or spend time searching databases. I work full time and I needed something fast that gave me clarity without the usual friction of traditional nutrition apps. To make the process easier, I created a tool that could scan my meals and estimate calories and macros instantly. I kept improving it, added workout tracking and a small built in assistant to answer questions, and eventually realized it might be useful to other people as well. Using this system I was able to lose 9 kg by staying consistent, so I decided to release it ...

Multiple health issues, Early loss of my mom, unable to succeed professionally too.

1h ago

Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand a lifelong pattern that connects my childhood, my emotions, my body, and my sense of being “stuck.” I’m an extrovert and a people person. My biological mom passed away when I was very young, when o was 7year old. I barely remember her. Two years later, my dad married her younger sister(because of the societal pressure that the kid needs to have a mother). She raised me, but even today I can’t call her “mom.” I feel an emotional block with my parents — I can show love to everyone except them. Throughout life I’ve had random physical issues with no big triggers: • ACL tears in both knees • Shoulder tendon tears • Chronic voice p...

Any recommendations for HR Systems?

1h ago

Hi Folks, Hope this is an appropriate place to post this. I look after the IT infrastructure for a friends business as a side gig. The business (UK) has two arms, one is property investment and renovation, the other acting as lettings agent for a large number of student properties. They are circa 20 employees and are pretty much all in on the various SaaS tools they need to get stuff done. All email / video conferencing / file sharing is done with the M365 stack, they use Xero for accounting, Monday.com for project management and FixFlo for all property maintenance tracking. They don't currently have a dedicated HR system, staff reviews and personal development are really just done ...

26 [M4A] #Online - Awkward nerd looking for a fellow awkward nerd!

1h ago

Hiii! I'm really not great at describing myself but here I go- I'm an awkward AuDHD guy and I don't really go outside much, apart from work. I'm hoping to find someone I can get close with. Someone I can yap about my interests, day, or anything else with, since I tend to talk to myself a lot and would prefer it be you instead! I spend most of my free time play video games, been playing Silksong recently. I'm a big fan of the souls games and soulslike genre (I find them weirdly relaxing to play lol), RPGs, and VNs, but I play most games really. I like to watch anime, but I'm more of a manga guy these days. Some of my favs are Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, Welcome to t...

Early-Life Empty-Nester

1h ago

My wife and I adopted two older children when we were fairly young and will be empty nesters in about 3 years at ages 38 and 37. While our kids will still require some financial support and some of our time, we know that things are going to be drastically different. Before we decided 100% to adopt, we understood and accepted the impacts that the decision would forever have on our relationships and day-to-day. At the moment, most people our age that we know are still having children and preparing to level up their careers. Meanwhile, we have this mindset (and problem set) that is more typically found in your 50’s. We have about $800K saved, make $160K-$180K/year, and are currently spendin...
