Something changed my step-sister, now I don’t know what to do

1h ago

My step-sister, “Laura”, and I were always close. When her dad married my mom, I became her older sister. She was the only girl in her family and was thrilled to finally have sister. She was only little and I was already heading into my teens, so there was a bit of an age gap, but we made it work. We’d paint each other’s nails, do each other’s hair, classic ‘big sister and little sister’ activities. Laura liked to bake with me and she loved making chocolate cake. I’d let her lick the spoon after we made the frosting. It was nice for me too. I had an older sister, “Abbie”, but she left home early and I never really saw her. She was sweet whenever she stopped by my mom...

Counting down to birthdays, trips, or deadlines? I built an iOS widget app for that

1h ago

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share an app I’ve been working on — **Countdown – Event Timer** (currently live on the App Store for iPhone & iPad)! 👉 **App Store:** [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countdown-event-timer/id6757182749](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countdown-event-timer/id6757182749?utm_source=chatgpt.com) # ⏳ Why I Built This I tried using **alarms** and **calendar apps** for years, but they always felt… mentally tiring. **Alarms** are binary. They’re either off, or suddenly demanding your attention. You don’t *see* time passing — you just get interrupted. That creates stress, not clarity. **Calendars** are date-centric. They’re great f...

AIO for constantly feeling triggered & anxious in my relationship following issues & break ups

1h ago

This is going to be a long one but pleased bare with me, I really need some advice. I've been with my boyfriend for over a year and a half, I love him dearly and want to make this relationship work. I am someone who has struggled with mild anxiety and spouts of depression over the years due to a complicated upbringing and childhood trauma (SA), I've had therapy on and off since being a teenager, which has been hugely helpful. Before meeting my now bf, I'd got myself in a really good place mentally, I felt probably the most confident and comfortable in myself than I ever had, I'd been doing a lot of work on improving my overall health and I was pretty **** proud of myse...

Regret moving to India

1h ago

Posting this because I wish someone had been brutally honest with me before I made this move. I moved back to India from the US mainly because of visa anxiety. Constant uncertainty, renewals, timelines, lawyers, waiting… it wears you down. At some point I convinced myself that moving back to India would bring “peace of mind,” familiarity, and maybe even happiness. I made a big mistake which I regret a lot. Yes, visa stress in the US is real. But I massively underestimated what I was giving up and overestimated how much “home” would compensate for it. India is exhausting in ways you only fully realize after being away for years: * Pollution (air, noise, garbage everywhere) * Ze...

How can you tell if something is OOP or not?

1h ago

Just bought the dark knight trilogy steel-book collection. Originally i was gonna wait for a sale but amazon sold out and i found another seller that had two left. Obviously that’s a sign that it’s about to be sold out and the only way to get it would be second hand sellers right? There’s been times i was thinking about pre ordering like the tron collection than had to pay double cause it ended up getting sold out. A big reason i ask is there’s some very popular 4ks that a lot of people buy but never get sold out vs others selling out on release. I’m looking at the avengers steelbook collection but am wondering if i should grab it now or wait for a sale.

Did not treat for mites in autum

1h ago

Hello everyone! To start off we are very new to this. We wanted to buy a small piece of land on a good price and it turned out it goes with around 12 beehives. At the time we took it, there were about 8 active ones and the remaining were empty. We are from a country with rich beekeeping history in south-east Europe but here getting advices is tough because everyone thinks you are there for big business while we just wanted to produce honey for our family (most are big lovers). So we took the land in August 2024. We mostly have reading books kind of knowledge and I have some vague memories of my grandfather's hives but nothing very useful. We treated for mites in fall via strips you ...

What's a no-go for you in FM because of real life?

1h ago

I'm talking about things that don't affect gameplay but you wouldn't do in FM because of some real life connection. The most classic example would be managing your team's rival, of course even if it was the most fun save that everyone was suggesting, you probably wouldn't manage Man Utd as a Man City fan. But that's the most obvious one (also signing Greenwood and other such scum). However I'm taking about less obvious stuff than these two examples. Also everything is connected to real life of course, Man City is good in game because they're good IRL but I'm talking mostly about things that don't affect gameplay (Greenwood is just code in-gam...

Linux distro with easy/good onedrive configuration

1h ago

hello people, my mom is fed up with windows 11 and wants to give Linux a try. However she has a lot of data stored in Microsoft Onedrive and would prefer something that's integrated seamlessly în the OS like it is on windows. is there a distro that's better for this? Or an "***** proof Guide" that allows me to configure onedrive via CLI? mind you she's 75 but eager to give Linux a try, she doesn't have high requirements for the OS, just that it's fairly intuitive and doesn't need the CLI for basic stuff. thanks in advance.

Smooth Air Canada Check-In Tips (Online, App & Airport) — What I Wish I Knew Before My Flight

1h ago

Hey folks! I just went through the full Air Canada check-in process for an upcoming trip and thought I’d share a quick **practical guide** I found super helpful — especially if you’re trying to save time and avoid airport lines. Here’s the gist of what I learned (with some personal tips based on my experience): # 1. Check In Online or Via App (Best Option) Air Canada lets you check in **starting 24 hours before departure** using either the website or the Air Canada mobile app. You’ll need your booking reference (or Aeroplan number) and your last name to start. Once you check in, you can: * Select/change seats * Add checked baggage * Download or save your boarding pass to your p...

New project - the City alphabet XIs

1h ago

Inspired by (aka totally ripping off) a series about the England team running on Football365, I am going to put together the best City XIs made up solely of players whose name begins with the same letter of the alphabet, hopefully throwing up some interesting stories in the process. Right now I'm aiming to do one a week. So here we go for A: The A team has a small squad (a mere 29 players), but manages to have a decorated backline and and might already give us our deadliest strikeforce. Shame about the hole in the middle of the park. It appears that surnames beginning with A are more common in other countries, leading to a lot of 21st century representation here. Looking for new places to explore

1h ago

Like the title says I’m looking for new places to explore. I’m a big fan of the CO/NM area bc there’s a lot of BLM land I can hop around and the scenery is beautiful. I’m in Korea rn but I’ll be back in the states in March and wanted to hit the ground running. The things I like about CO and NM are the vast outdoor areas such as mountains, forests, and just basic scenery. I’m also rebuilding my car camping setup so this time around it’s a lot easier and I can be off grid for a few days at a time. I’m just wondering what are some other states I should visit so I don’t get burnt out from my fav ones. I drive a Subaru Outback so terrain isn’t a big issue but I’m not doing a...

The Last of Us Part II (SPOILERS)

1h ago

When I first played TLOU2 4-5 years ago I didn't really know what to make of it. I wouldn't say I ***** it, but I didn't fully agree with the direction the sequel was going in. But now having played other modern PlayStation sequels like GOW: Ragnarok, Horizon: Forbidden West, and Spider-Man 2, I can say that I've gained a new appreciation for TLOU2 on my second playthrough. A safe sequel this is not Something I want to get out of the way is the Israel (WLF) and Palestine (Seraphites) parallels in the story. The conflict between the WLF and Seraphites is meant to reinforce the theme, the cyclical nature of violence. And through many raised eyebrows and scrunched noses I c...

What’s new with the newest new 2026 Cybex Talos?

1h ago

Hey! So turns out there is a [new new](https://www.cybex-online.com/en/de/p/st-go-talos-s-lux-3.html) [Talos as of Jan 2026](https://www.cybex-online.com/en/de/p/st-go-talos-s-lux-3.html), one more update after the [2024 one](https://www.cybex-online.com/en/de/p/st-go-talos-s-lux-2.html). The easy visible clues are bronzeish frame, different seat cover colors (no more grey for instance), mildly different sun cover, solid black tires and mudguards on the back wheels. But other than that, I can’t find what is actually new other than cosmetic changes and the mud guards. I compared their website, the documentation on the page, asked chatgpt (it still considered 2024 as the new one) and watched...

Close to 30 and scared

1h ago

I’m 29M (just turned last week) and I’m living through the worst period of my life. I’m honestly scared/anxious and could really use advice from people my age or older. Last year wrecked me. I have Crohn’s disease and was hospitalized twice. I lost a lot of weight, stopped going to the gym, and don’t recognize myself physically or mentally anymore. On top of that, my grandpa died and I was unemployed for 3–4 months, which left me anxious and stressed all the time. My girlfriend (23F) of 3+ years has been supportive through all of this. We also moved in together last year, but over time we started feeling more like roommates and the spark faded. Recently we’ve been arguing a l...
