Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big Lots"Because I deserve it..."2h agoOof. Have I got stories.... I spent a decade working in Social Services in various roles and locations. One time, a teen on a case I managed, got arrested. They were 100% guilty and went to actual jail not juvie. Judge agreed to release them back into CPS custody after they had been there for 3 days. Normally, they would have been left there for a while. So, as the case manager I had to personally fly across the state and drive hours to get them and bring them back to my office and a temporary placement while we searched for an open home that would take a teen that now had a record. This kid walks out of the back of the jail all swagger and fist bumping officers and gets into my ... Psyeir the Master of the Mind Contest Edition2h agoPsyeir was originally an ionian mage researching methods of using magic to alter the mental state of others. However, the ionia council decided that such magic would violate the free will of those affected, and thus banned her from continuing her research. Undeterred, Psyeir continued her studies in secret using captured animals as test subjects. Eventually, her research progressed to the point where mere animals were not sufficient. So she turned to kidnapping test subjects. She was able to successfully acquire a small number of subjects and experimented on their minds. After weeks of experimentation, she was able to successfully dominate the mind of one of her subjects. However, she go... 👋 Welcome to r/NoKingsVirginia - Introduce Yourself and Read First!2h agoHey everyone! I'm u/Boudica2025, a founding moderator of r/NoKingsVirginia. I’d checked the weather maps not only for the town, but for the trailhead and the mountain, and the result was the same: no rain. Zero percent chance. Better odds of finding a T. rex skull in your backyard than storms rolling through. Not a drop will stain the soil. Naturally, halfway up the mountain trail, thunder rumbled overhead. Not long after, the first fat drops of rain fell. With gas prices being what they are, I should’ve stayed home and dug up my backyard. I’d wanted to hike the Cuerno del Diablo trail for a while now. It’s not on any maps. It’s a shared secret among more serious hikers. Go online and dig around in hiking forums, and you’l... 7 strange signs you will become successful (that most people ignore)2h agoSuccess isn’t always about obvious talent or flashy achievements. Sometimes, it’s the weird, barely noticeable habits and traits that point to future greatness. A lot of self-proclaimed "gurus" on social media oversimplify success with generic advice, but the reality is way more nuanced. Here are seven unexpected signs that research and thought leaders point to as indicators of success down the road. The best part? You probably already have some of these without even realizing it. 1. **You’re obsessed with asking "why"** 2. If you find yourself constantly questioning everything, congrats—curiosity is one of the most underrated but powerful predictors of success. ... [WTS] Maybach Customs HDM - White Carboquartz + Yggdrasill damasteel2h agoHi guys, I'm letting this beast go. It is a Mayabach Customs HDM with a white carboquartz front scales and Yggdrasil Damasteel blade. I'm letting it go just cuz I felt it too big for my hand since I'm a SAK collector and prefere smaller/slimmer knifes. I felt it needs a owner how would like a beast with great materials as this one in their collection so I decided to sell it and invest on custom pens which are another passion of mine. I'm the second owner but it was held as a safe queen for both me an the original owner since it was done my the maker, I couldnt really find any marks or anything that should be described even though I have it meticulously inspected it... Too much potatoes, made potato wedges to freeze for later.2h ago\*I just posted this but I used the wrong flair so deleted and reposted as lunch. I mean you can eat potato wedges for lunch, dinner or snack lol, so not sure which to use 😅. I had received a lot of potatoes in my last 2 Flashfood bags and I already have a full bag I bought on sale. So to keep the reduce ones from going to waste I made a large batch of potato wedges to freeze to use when I am ready. I was already using some of the potatoes to make mashed potatoes for that nights dinner. So I processed all the peeling and cutting at the same time. It was my day off so I peeled and cut everything and placed the dinner potatoes in a bowl of water until I was ready to make dinner. T... Help me find this part2h agoThe grooves on my shower handle stem are completely worn down so now they won’t turn with the handles. I’m trying to replace the stems but can’t find a match or manufacturer anywhere. I’ve been to the big box stores and have tried looking online but no luck. It’s a 3 handle shower. Does anyone know what brand this might be? Or can you send me in the right direction to find out? Something for me?2h agoHi everyone, (M) I'm trying recently to get out of my comfort zone and find a job. I have a 50% disability status (GdB 50) but I can work (leistungsfähig)&(not on wheelchair) I'm lookin for a job in a café, restaurant, office, store, or similar.. just nothing that requires heavy lifting. I don’t have a completed uni degree, but I can work in office environments and also handle data or basic analysis tasks. I can communicate in 3 languages and I'm working on a fourth. And surely I have a work permission. I would really appreciate it if someone of u guys knows any opportunity that doesn't require huge experience or unrealistic big bombastic conditions T... AITAH for calling my wife immature during a short argument at the grocery store?2h agoMy wife and I got into an argument at the store, and I want outside opinions on whether I crossed a line. The whole incident probably lasted 5 minutes or less from start to finish, so this was a short argument that escalated quickly. We were shopping at a grocery store, and I asked if she was going to get something she had mentioned wanting. She replied, “I would get it if it was here,” in a tone that sounded sharp to me. I told her her tone felt sharp and that I was just pointing it out. I then made a joking “careful” comment referencing the Game of Thrones/Tywin Lannister meme. She laughed, acknowledged it, and apologized, so I thought we had moved past it. As we were walking out... Drunk hot tub rant time. Office politics and rto. Unlike traditional LLM tools that probe the system by running commands and parsing strings, **godshell** hooks directly into the kernel event stream to build an immutable "inference layer". (or tries to do so lol) # The Core: eBPF Instrumentation Unlike many "AI terminal" tools, godshell doesn't just run ps or `grep`. It uses a Go daemon to attach eBPF tracepoints and capture events as they happen: * `tracepoint/syscalls/sys_enter_execve`: Captures process creation and high-fidelity binary paths. * `tracepoint/s... do you think i could make it big if i lost a lot of weight2h agoi have a lot of dreams <333 do you think i could make it big if i lost a lot of weight2h agoi have a lot of dreams <333 Finished Metroid Prime 4, it was Mt First Prime game2h agoI have finished Metroid Fusion, and Played all of an hour in prime 3, and 10 minutes of one of the other primes on the wii. So I am very new to the series but know people who are passionate about it and wanted to support and see this mixed game for myself. Somewhere between 7/10 and 9/10, cant decide for sure. First, mechanics. I played with the motion controls a good bit, which I liked but scanning would throw of the calibration, so I switched to dual stick. Also, enemies got to moving too fast for motion control. I tried mouse, but my hand hurt after a short time. Scanning in particular was a bane of my existence, as I knew I was going to miss something, it slowed me down immensely,... 37 [M4F] #STL, Missouri - Space nerd, piano player, recent gym addict. Looking for my other half.2h agoI'm 37 years old, and currently working full time as a database admin/developer. Job would probably sound incredibly boring when I describe it, but it lets me work from home and I love it for some reason. I have my life in order, for the most part. Have my own place, done with school, all the usual stuff. If my job doesn't give it away, I'm definitely a bit of a nerd. I love my sci-fi, and I work on programming computers for a living. Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, I like em all. Really into anything space related, for the most part. Broke NC today and regret it.2h agoWe are 33M and 34M. We met back in February of 2023 when we were both looking for friends. I had gotten out of a really toxic 7 year relationship a year prior and he was also freshly out of a much shorter relationship and we agreed - lets be friends. We had instant chemistry and a strong connection early on. We were quickly hanging out every weekend and spending as much time together as possible - trips to museums, concerts, restaurants for dinner. We were there to celebrate each other's birthdays. In February 2024, I moved nearly 3 hours away to an island and we kept in contact. We would call each other regularly and still keep tabs on each other. We both started dating around the sa... I'm always working with superstars throughout my academic journey and I regret it sometimes2h agoDuring my undergrad, I worked with two of the department chairs, while my two friends worked with two newer professors. I helped with several projects, but I didn't receive co-authorship because it was the initial stage, and my two advisors were "senior consultants" to the projects, so I couldn't be added as a co-author. However, my two friends both got co-authorship. My advisors nominated me for all the awards, which I received because they were close to the Dean. During my master's, I also worked with the department chair. He was supportive, nominated me for awards, and connected me with a big organization in my field. It was a great opportunity, but I didn't... 37 [M4F] St. Louis, Missouri - Space nerd, piano player, recent gym addict. I created a document / book audio reading app that doesn’t require monthly subscription and runs on your device2h agoHello! I am the sole developer of a document / book / article audio reading app. When talking to friends in college, they mention how they utilize text to speech apps to do their college reading. Then they mentioned how much they had to pay monthly / yearly for it. And the first thing that came to my was how absurd it is! Phones in the past few years have improved so much, and the AI converting text to speech has become so efficient! My thought was why not run the whole AI model on the device? So I set out to do it! It was challenging since I had to learn swift, and this is my first project on the App Store. But I got something out 😄 Here are the features: \- Free 30 day trial, then $... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
