[REQUEST] [STEAM] Baldur's Gate 3 25% off

1h ago

Hi everyone happy holidays! I am humble requesting this game during the times where all are thankful. I would appreciate if someone gifted me Baldur's Gate 3. **Baldur's Gate 3** An rpg with turn based combat, where you can goof around or be serious and be immersive with your lore as the reviews and other peoples take on it as I have only watched videos and it be referenced as sort of a dnd game. What really strike me the most is the choice system where what I say and do actually makes the story change! like for example I saw on yt video that an npc could **** up the dungeon but couldn't because you stole the device beforehand that is just epic it like the movie Honor am...

Hey r/solodevelopment, after 8 years,a burnout, and a failed Early Access launch, I’m finally ready to release my game...

1h ago

Hey everyone, this is a bit hard to write, but I felt like this is the right place. About **8 years ago**, I released my first game on Steam in **Early Access**. At the time, things looked great on paper: * over **35k wishlists** * a **Discord with \~2.5k users** * a small but passionate community We were a team of two and had worked on the game for about **3 years**. It was a **physics-based multiplayer party game**, and that’s where we ran into our biggest challenges. We released multiplayer without **large-scale testing**, hoping it would work well enough. Technically, it did, but the first weeks were very buggy. Many players left quickly because of those early issues, and ...

ghetto grow lamp tutorial

1h ago

The big Ikea Solhetta are the most efficient consumer lamps I could find. here's how to turn them into grow lamps. removing the diffuser makes them a lot more useful for growing but also poses an immense risk since the circuitry is not isolated from mains and could propably kill you. Solution: cut out disks from translucent plastic lids from sweets or pringles potato chips (plastic should be somewhat flexible since the connector holding the board in place is slightly protruding), cut off the protruding leads from the LED board and glue the disk on there with two-component adhesive - hot snot is unsuitable for obvious reasons. propably still dangerous as **** ehatever. do at your o...

Hey dad... I need a broader point of view. I fear I am being selfish in my new relationship as I am tainted from the one...

1h ago

Prior to this relationship, I'd (38m) been married for 16 years though with her for 25years. We were twelve when we started dating. I see now how badly that stunted my expectations for a relationship, as I had nothing to contrast and compare with. In my marriage, I carried the burdens, the fears, the finances, the chores, the child rearing <-- well at least that one was 50/50 and a barrage on constant criticism from her parents. I almost killed myself last year because I was drained. Physically, emotionally and every other capacity. I kept pouring myself into my wife because I believed that is what good husbands do. The problem was, it was rarely, if ever, reciprocated. Leaving ...

We love a famous person who uses their platform to normalize masking

1h ago

Was just randomly scrolling fb and I saw a post from Amy Tan (bestselling author of The Joy Luck Club, The Bonesetters Daughter, etc) talk about how her and her husband mask in public and in N95 no less. Warmed my cold little heart today to see that

AI Marketing Strategies: What Your Competition Up To

1h ago

Do you ever wonder what your competition is up to? If you’re a solo marketer in manufacturing, it can feel tough to keep up. Search is changing fast. Buyers now get answers from AI tools instead of clicking through long lists of links. So your company must show up in places you may not control. On a recent episode of *Stop Being the Best Kept Secret*, Curt Anderson and Damon Pistulka sat down with Paola Santana to talk about simple ways to track your visibility. Paola helps teams use AI tools and expert interviews to understand how they appear online. Her tips are clear, practical, and easy to use for any small team. In this post, you’ll learn why visibility matters, how AI changes th...

Very confused — CPL in India or abroad? Need honest advice

1h ago

I’m really confused about whether I should do my CPL in India or go abroad and need some honest advice from people who’ve actually done this. I don’t have many choices within my budget — South Africa is almost the only foreign option I can afford, but I’m hesitant to go there because of the 19 exams situation and safety issues that people talk about online. I also considered the Philippines because it seems to be cheaper and has good weather and flying conditions, but I’ve read a lot of mixed things about training there and DGCA conversion. I keep seeing comments that many schools in the Philippines were blacklisted by DGCA or caused big problems for Indians trying to convert the...

How to Dress Well: A Practical Style Guide for Men

1h ago

A lot of guys worry about how to dress well, especially when working with a limited budget. The truth is, looking good isn’t about expensive brands or chasing every trend. It’s about understanding a few basic principles that make you look put together, confident, and intentional. When you dress better, it doesn’t just change how you look. It affects your posture, confidence, and how others perceive you. Style becomes much simpler once you focus on fundamentals like fit, color coordination, grooming, and dressing appropriately for different situations. Here are 7 practical style principles that actually work: # 1. Fit matters more than anything No outfit looks good if it doesn’t f...

NEW...... Russia may open crypto to all investors even those previously restricted.

1h ago

The Bank of Russia is reportedly considering allowing unqualified or retail investors to buy crypto. That is a big shift from their previous stance. If this actually happens it could bring a lot of new retail interest into the market and signal a softer approach to crypto overall. smart move or risky decision?

Is there a reason to grow wheat instead of rye now?

1h ago

Before it was obvious, rye was a big upgrade you had to spend a skillpoint on. Now it's still an upgrade but no skillpoint lost in it. Is food variety the only reason to grow wheat now or am i missing something? Cause that's not a whole lot to compensate for it's much lower fertility value imo

Streaming Aphex on Tidal seems way better than Spotify.

1h ago

Recently dumped Spotify because **** them and their ways. Tidal is about the same price or even cheaper if you sign up through the browser and not the app (apple and google store fees **** balls also). Not only is the sound quality seemingly way better but the shuffle or mix function plays songs I haven’t never heard while on Spotify shuffle. I am aware of the clearing of the cache to get out of the weird stuck loop Spotify puts a lot of users in and have done that multiple times but still never ended up with such a varied mix as I have with Tidal. Just wanna push more people to dump that **** *** ***** Spotify and seek out alternatives like Tidal of Qobuz or any other. Also Bogdan Rac...

Why do we have to collect 50 shards for S-ranks

1h ago

I'm new and I don't understand this cus like why 50 shards at first then every copy of the character is 30 why not all 30? Cus like when I thought about it. Getting teddy with 50 shards gives me a copy and if I pull her I can only get her to SS, to get her to SS3 we need 27 more shards which sums upto 440 ppc tokens. But if I pull her first and then redeem the copies from the store I can get her to SS2 and then buy 7 shards (70 ppc tokens) from ppc store. this just felt weird where one side could be a big loss compared to another route especially such a big difference even though I'm doing the exact same thing but in a different order

Hit points are Meat points and how it makes sense

1h ago

simply put trying to convert a tradtional HP into some sort of non descript stamina system where your not actually getting hit and taking damage when you lose Hit points is kinda silly and creates a lot of issues Like why do all these Healing spells recover hit points if characters aren't actually getting hit and Every fight will just turn into the characters winning due to **** luck like they where King from one punch man as the Dragon conviently misses every attack. Simply put Hit points are meat points and leveling up is magical, given **** like Energy drain exists there is some sort of Energy invovled in leveling up and if we look to a Magic user/Mage/Wizard we can see that they ...

The riveting combination of high stakes and office banality

1h ago

Reading through data-set 8. Is anyone else also, slightly captivated by the combination of significant, high-stakes investigative work they're doing paired with the absolute banality of office life? Rescheduling appointments, meetings being missed because someone forgot to put it in their calendar, sharing articles around the office. My personal favorite low(ish) stakes sub-plot is this one staff member who sends emails about needing to have an organisational system for files. Their email thread keeps popping up. They're trying so, so hard to get their point across about clearing up their systems, but gets passed around, no one seems to take it all that seriously. I hope they ...

Hey hey! It’s Roubit 🐰 The year’s almost over — lots to do, right? But before the day ends, let’s write down *one small joy.* 📌 Roubit’s Joy Journal Routine 1. Recall one moment that made you smile today 😊 2. Write it down in one line (“The coffee smelled amazing,” “A friend texted me”) ☕ 3. End the sentence with: “That moment felt really good.” ✨ Happiness doesn’t have to be big — it just needs to be noticed. Collecting tiny joys builds a brighter you, one day at a time 🐇🌿

Why crypto keeps bleeding, a macro view. What investors should watch next

1h ago

Crypto has been in a brutal drawdown throughout fall and winter. Here’s why this is happening - and what could actually change the picture, if we look at it through a macro / economic lens. Major coins vs ATH: * BTC: −30% * ETH: −40% * SOL: −57% (January 2025 peak) For comparison, the S&P 500 dropped only \~5.6% and has already recovered most of it. # Capital rotation matters more than narratives When markets start talking about bubbles, recession risks, or economic slowdown, big money moves into safety: * USD * Gold * Government bonds This is normal capital behavior under uncertainty. “But rate cuts are bullish, right?” Historically,  not really. Rate cuts are...

Things from our childhood that gen z will never experience

1h ago

Growing up in Vietnam in the 90s and early 2000s felt very different from today. Life was slower, more offline, and a lot of our memories came from shared experiences rather than screens. Things like lining up at internet cafés, using Nokia phones, burning CDs, and waiting forever for a song or game to download were just normal parts of life. Now everything is instant streaming, smartphones, social media and it’s hard to explain to Gen Z what that waiting, anticipation, and excitement felt like. I also wonder if we appreciated those moments more because they weren’t always available at the tap of a screen. What are some childhood experiences you had that Gen Z will probably never expe...

It’s over.

1h ago

For some background, I was physically abused by my parents and emotionally neglected by my mother for my entire childhood, with the physical abuse stopping before I turned 16. This is part of our culture so I never saw it as abuse and while my dad has shown a lot of regret and remorse for it, my mother still doesn’t see it as abuse to this very day. I get into my first relationship in university after an ultimatum was pushed onto me by what was supposed to just be a FWB situation and it was immediately toxic, with them being physically and emotionally abusive all within the first year, constantly accusing me of cheating only to find out 2 years later that they had physically cheated on me...

Nose bleeds

1h ago

Long story short, undiagnosed and untreated for about 17 yrs. Mostly joint pain and mental health issues, until I started getting huge nose bleeds. How can I advocate better for myself? I’m working with a functional med doctor. Got an immunoblot in January with active bands, but had 3 infections (eye, Upper respiratory, and toe) and about 2-3 months of antibiotics for those before I found the functional med doctor in June. They ran the igenex and likely due to the months of abx it was negative, but since I had the tick and the bullseye rash the doc went ahead with doxy. Did 4 months doxy and biweekly tinidazole pulses, which I’m still doing. This week I was admitted to a psych ward bc ...

Is it possible I’m too attached to my wife? New fatherhood fears

1h ago

I’ve asked for advice in this sub quite often on how to be a good husband to my wife as we expect our first child because quite frankly I’m just scared of the changes. A big theme in the advice I’ve been given is to understand that my wife is going to be prioritizing our child first and foremost, as I will too, and I need to accept that a lot of my needs probably won’t be met for some time. I completely understand this but the thought of almost having to detach myself from my wife does make me sad. She’s my best friend. I’ve always thought the more I pour into her the better. The thought of having to steel myself in preparation for my new relationship with my wife is tough. I w...
