Got diagnosed on the Dec 31 2026 I got an A1C of 12.something. I'm gonna go one a long run on sentence about the start of my journey. Tl:DR is I'm diabetic now, trying to live a healthier life. Welp about to hit the 1st month mark, I officially quit on new years and to this day my body and mind are thanking me for it, I used to be a lot more volatile when I vaped and that was my biggest motivation for quitting (as well as being a money drain and destroying my lung capacity). I have a 2005 Element, manual, and just noticed a whining noise that I hadn’t heard before. • Whines when accelerating • Also whines when I’m in neutral and turn the steering wheel • When I turn the wheel, the RPMs bump up slightly • Sitting in neutral at idle without touching the wheel = no noise I had power steering hoses replaced along with other work done recently. Mechanic said it’s probably the power steering pump and not a big safety issue, but I wanted to check with other Element owners here… Anyone else have this? I’ve noticed over the past week or two that the lights in my bedroom don’t turn on or off at the same time. 4 small ceiling light bulbs are all controlled by the same light switch. There’s 1-2 bulbs that consistently stay on about 2 seconds longer than the others. Normal bulbs not smart bulbs as far as I’m aware. This only started happening after the power went out for a few hours (during the extreme hot weather in VIC 2 weeks ago), which is why I’m concerned. The outage also caused a lot of electrical things in my apartment building to fail like lifts, card access readers. Is the light thing a big deal? I have no clue if it’s something that might cause bigger problems.
