Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big LotsMet my boyfriend while he was traveling in India, moved overseas together, now I’m falling out of love. Need advice on...3h agoI met my boyfriend in Pune through Hinge. He’s originally from Delhi but moved to Canada when he was five and has lived there ever since. At the time we met, he was on an extended break from his career in Canada and traveling through India. He said he came to India to reconnect with himself and hopefully meet his soulmate along the way. We met in person and instantly clicked. Same sense of humor, same silliness, very comfortable with each other from the start. We kept seeing each other regularly, and after a few months decided to rent a flat together in India. Things felt easy and natural. Eventually, we decided to move to Canada together. In the beginning, things were really good. He wa... How to save hundreds each month by cutting these budget items.3h agoMost people think cutting a household budget means giving up everything fun, but that’s rarely true. The biggest wins usually come from fixing a few quiet money leaks that don’t feel dramatic day to day but add up fast over a month. If you focus on the boring stuff instead of lifestyle sacrifices, saving hundreds can happen without feeling like punishment. One of the fastest ways to free up cash is to audit recurring expenses you’ve mentally tuned out. Subscriptions, memberships, app renewals, cloud storage, streaming services, and “temporary” add-ons tend to stack over time. Many households are paying for multiple services that do the same thing or haven’t been used in months. ... I built a free battle jacket planner tool - would love your thoughts3h agoHey everyone, I've been planning to start on a new battle vest and ran into a problem I'm sure some of you can relate to: I had selected patches from like 5 different sites, couldn't remember which was from where (ended up creating an actual spreadsheet to keep track), no idea how big each one actually was compared to the others, and pretty hard to iamgine if everything would even fit on my vest without it looking like a mess. So I did what any reasonable person would do: instead of waiting for my patches to arrive and just laying them out on my bed like a normal human, I spent way too much time building a web app to solve this problem. **What it does:** * Plan your jacket... My experience with Chaos Break: Episode from “Chaos Heat”3h agoSTORY (1/10) * Storytelling was bland, lacklustre and honestly so bad that I didn’t even want to finish the game, but I pulled through. The game was a direct sequel to the Arcade game Chaos Heat, which doesn’t make it any better. The whole experience was in 4D with a real time clock, and beating the game in under 2h would give you the best ending. * Presentation wise, absolute hot caca. I was 20m into the game and I wanted to throw up, seriously, I couldn’t stay in one place while constantly shifting on my sofa! * Characters were forgettable to begin with. I played with Mituki, although with Rick you could see another series of events which led you to the same conclusion. Dr Rac... Fog forecasting in complex coastal terrain – Windy vs Meteoblue NEMS, worth it?3h agoHey everyone! I do operational weather forecasting, and my go-to tool on a daily basis is Windy. I mostly use it as guidance — not blindly — but combined with my own meteorological background to get a solid idea of how conditions are going to evolve. Overall, I’d say global models do a pretty good job, especially at the synoptic scale. That said… when mesoscale stuff comes into play, things can get messy 😅. Models start to struggle, and it becomes way harder to nail down very local phenomena — like figuring out if we’ll actually get fog or low stratus in inland areas, or if it’ll stay clear. Geographically speaking, Chile looks a lot like the US West Coast, especially Cal... My First Bobcat Photos3h agoThis past week I had the cool experience of getting my first Bobcat photos in central Iowa. Of all the places to get these photos I got them at the local elementary school. This sounds a bit scary to some but the reason he was there is because it was the weekend and it was the quietest place in town. Why was he in town? This area in central Iowa doesn't have a huge section of habitat. There's lots of little broken up spaces along the river. This means in town where people have bird feeders that attract squirrels, rabbits, rodents etc is a great source of prey for this young bobcat. He is actively avoiding people, scared of dogs, and left town the next day when school started again... [App][Promotion] Ayer – Daily “On This Day” Memories, 100% Offline & Private (No Cloud, No Account)3h agoHey r/HowToMen 👋 I’m the indie dev behind Ayer. If you have thousands of photos but rarely revisit them, Ayer turns your gallery into a simple daily “On This Day” ritual — but 100% local: no account, no cloud, no tracking. Everything stays on your device. *What it does* • 📅 Pick any date → instantly see all photos/videos from that date across years • 🧩 Auto-generate “Then vs Now” collages in seconds • Handles big libraries smoothly (fast scrolling + quick thumbnails) *Why I built it* I love nostalgia features in Google Photos / Apple Memories, but ***** the privacy trade-off. Ayer's motto: “We can’t lose your data because we never touch it.”... Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) - reference for "small" wrists (~160-165mm)3h agoI recently purchased a Pixel Watch 4, and had a lot of trouble deliberating on which size to pick (45mm vs. 41mm). There were not a lot of images or resources I could find; sometimes people showed photos but didn't state the size of their wrist, etc. So I want to create this post to help others who have the same problem. I went to BestBuy to see and try it on in person, but you can't quite get a good impression of what the watch feels like because of the way it's tied to the display, and I also could only try the 45mm and not the 41mm. I ended up going with the 45mm size, and I'm extremely happy with that decision. **My wrist size is 160 to 165 mm around**. That's... Do I tell the hiring manager?3h agoCompany A : I am currently interviewing at one of the big med tech companies for sales role in the cardiac division. I am pretty far along in the interview process and have got great vibes from the hiring manager. Someone I would have no problem working under. Product is great, lots of potential growth, more work life balance, pay increase, etc. Company B: I applied for a job at another big med tech company and have connected with numerous team members and even the hiring manager, all networking stuff. I am desperately trying to get into this company bc of growth, money, etc. \- I have many connections to the hiring manager at my dream company (company B) \- the territory is my current... DoseBuddy3h agoHello everyone! I just recently launched my medication reminder app on the playstore. Tried to make sure it was feature rich as possible for users. The core feature set allows you to: • Track your medication schedule with a clean daily dashboard • Medication suggestions that autofill name, dosage and unit. • Use a calendar view to check upcoming doses by date • Monitor supply with a refill tracker so you refill on time • Log symptoms/side effects • Drug interaction checker to alert you of any dangerous combinations. • Transfer schedules between devices using QR data transfer and many more including some paid features. In addition to these, I'm currently working on... parking tips for 2026 aztec softball sdsu kickoff - day 2 at sdsu softball stadium (san diego 02/07)3h agohey everyone, figured i'd share some parking tips for the aztec softball kickoff on saturday, 02/07 at 9:00 am. even though it's a softball game and not a big football crowd, the sdsu campus is paid parking seven days a week, and the area around the stadium can still get pretty messy and expensive. honestly the biggest pain is the actual on-campus parking. for a great alternative that is way cheaper and lets you skip the morning traffic, check out Prked. it's an app where you can rent a private driveway or a garage spot from someone who lives in the neighborhood right next to the stadium. it’s a short, easy walk and you completely avoid the lines and the high univers... parking tips for IHSA Competitive Cheerleading - All Division Finals (Session 3) at Grossinger Motors Arena (Bloomington...3h agohey everyone, figured i'd share some parking info for the ihsa cheer finals on 02/07. since the competition starts at 11:00 am on a weekday, all the downtown rules are going to be in effect until 6:00 pm, which makes parking a real headache for an all-day event like this. first, my secret weapon for arena parking in bloomington is an app called Prked. honestly, it’s a total game-changer. it lets people in the neighborhood rent out their driveways or garages, so you can pre-book a guaranteed spot for way cheaper than the arena's event fee, you get to bypass all the main road congestion coming in, and it's just a short walk from a quiet residential street. a total life... NordVPN vs hide.me VPN3h agoYour ISP tracks every site you visit. Hackers lurk on public WiFi. Streaming services block half their libraries based on where you live. The question isn't whether you need a VPN anymore—it's which one won't let you down when it matters. I've spent weeks testing both NordVPN and hide.me VPN across multiple devices, server locations, and real-world scenarios. One dominates the market with massive infrastructure and aggressive marketing. The other flies under the radar with a generous free tier and an emphasis on transparency. But which one's actually worth your money? Let's cut through the marketing noise and look at what these VPNs deliver when you're ... Double Dragon Revive is on sale on all major digital storefronts3h agoSo I said the first time this game would hit a sale I would buy it and I sure did. I played it last night for a few hours and have some impressions. First off, I don't think this game is bad. It's actually quite fun and has some cool ideas. However, there are things that detract from the experience that I don't like. Pros: I like the graphical presentation for the most part. The full 3-d looks good sometimes and odd other times. Overall, I'm used to it though 2-D would have been preferred. I like the gimmicks. Tossing a guy into a car windshield or a dumpster is satisfying. The combat is flashy. Guard and dodge are assigned to buttons and I need to use them wa... I went from journalist to truck driver. Still havent found my place3h agoHello everybody I am a 32m who has a degree in journalism. From 26-30 i worked on/off at a big national media broadcaster as a photographer and journalist. I loved the novelty of the job and meeting a lot of cool people, but the corporate structure and 9-5 grind wore me down. In the end my contract wasn't prolonged, and i can't blame them, i had mentally checked out. I wanted to get out of the city and bought a sort of 16 sqm primitive tiny house in a rural town 35 minutes outside of the city i moved out of, where i can live basically rent free. I wanted to make money to pay off my student loans and potentially study again. I spent the following two years making upgrades on... Choosing newborn clothes: small Australian brands vs big retailers?3h agoWe’re starting to shop for newborn clothes and are torn between going with the big, well-known retailers or trying to support smaller Australian baby brands. On one hand, the big stores are convenient and familiar. On the other, I like the idea of supporting local businesses, especially for something as personal as newborn clothing. For parents in Australia…. have you leaned one way or the other? Are there smaller Aussie brands you’ve had a good experience with, or did you find sticking with larger retailers just made more sense early on? Would love to hear how others approached this. Marriage breakdown need advice3h agoSalam everyone I’m really struggling and would really appreciate some advice. I got married over 2 years ago to the the perfect man. We had a love marriage and have a 19 month year old boy, I fell pregnant quite quickly straight after getting married Alhamdullilah. Before marriage it was agreed between us that we would eventually move out of his parents house. We live in a the attic with a separate bathroom. We come from a Pakistani background but are from different places and I was born in the U.K. and he was born in Pakistan when he was young. His family is very different to mine, much more traditional to the point that my husband is very scared of his parents. We have argued a lot as ... May, 1989, top 10 games (Electronic Gaming Monthly). And the next wave: Mega Man 2. Some great ones here!3h agoRegift Sent - hope they like it!3h agoI love this exchange, lots of fun putting together gifts I think people will enjoy. Sent my regift yesterday afternoon, should arrive Wednesday next week, I hope they really like it! Big thanks to the mods and organizers for all the effort they put in to make this happen. The biggest problem with From the Ashes, and what Marvel can do to solve it3h agoWhen it comes to issues surrounding FTA, I see a lot of people talking about team makeup, or complaining about the X-Men going back to square one. I think there's a solid solution for these doldrums we're in right now. It's not just having more teams, or rearranging the teams, it's that the books seem disconnected from the context. The \*era itself\* needs to give purpose and direction to how the X-Men are operating, and what stories should be told. Look at the Decimation, for example... The Decimation/Utopia era had a lot of teams running, but each of them explored a different facet of the era. After all but 200 mutants were robbed of their powers and/or killed by Wa... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
