Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big LotsFirst brisket! Would appreciate any tips for the future.2h agoSo after much research and lurking on this subreddit, I decided to have a go at my first brisket and would love any tips for future improvements. I got into smoking meats about 4-5 months ago and have so far done chicken and pork butts. Completely forgot to take pics of the brisket before but it was much bigger than I initially thought. It was originally about 8.3kg (18.3lbs for my American friends) but probably about 5kg after trimming and saving some of it as it wouldn’t fit in my smoker (Pit boss pro 4). Definitely did not plan for that but Costco was the only option and it was via delivery. Trim job wasn’t the best but did what i could. Method: Started at 12AM, going low and slow ... That hillbilly in every horror movie2h agoThe road had not been paved for years. Only tourists passed through there, mostly young college students who were on a rural getaway to disconnect from the hectic pace of the city. Those who ended up in the hovel I called home were those who dared to stray a little from Donaldsonville hoping to find some adventure in a wilder nature, and boy, did they find it... poor bastards. At first I felt a little sorry for them. Seeing people in the prime of life with a terrible fate awaiting them certainly turned my stomach. But after years of watching them disregard my warnings and even mock me, any empathy I might have felt had vanished. It had been two days since a group of kids had stopped by. I re... Should I leave him or keep him?2h agoHi everyone, I am a Turkish girl live in a city next to Istanbul, I’m a private school English teacher, and I’m 25 years old. I met a German guy. He has converted to Islam. He came here and we spent three days together; he also met my family. He lives in a town called Sulingen in northern Germany. He’s 26 years old, his mother passed away, and he lives with his father. He has a regular job — a technical position in a factory — and he also does e-commerce. He’s very skinny, and he showers two or three times a day. I didn’t make a big deal out of it, but I will move back there, and he also has quite a lot of debt. He does have a plan to solve it, and I think it could be managea... How to create the perfect experience?2h agoHi everyone, I’m planning a surprise birthday trip to Rome for my girlfriend, who’s turning 30 next week. It’s a big milestone and I really want to make this trip emotionally special, not just a standard “tourist itinerary”. **Details:** – We arrive early on the 2nd, her birthday is on the 3rd, and we leave on the 4th – Budget is limited, but I’m aiming for maximum emotional impact rather than luxury – I already bought her a necklace as a gift – I care more about street vibe, romantic moments, food, and flow than seeing every monument **What I’m looking for:** – Small surprise ideas that feel thoughtful (not expensive) – One “wow” moment for her b... Excel isn’t the problem. The way businesses use it is.2h agoWe were doing what everyone tells you to do. College, part-time work, side hustles, trying to “build a future.” But at the end of every month, the feeling was the same: a lot of effort, very little money and almost no control over time. It wasn’t that we didn’t want to work. We were working hard. The real issue was that the effort and stress didn’t justify the outcome. So instead of waiting for jobs to slowly improve, we decided to learn by doing and work directly on real problems. While talking to small business owners and freelancers, one pattern kept showing up everywhere "data and tracking problems". Excel just happened to be where most of those problems lived. Dat... Some tips and tricks to ranking up in Crown Jam for the Jam Track2h agoHaving to rank up for rewards *****. But I did it anyway, and thankfully it doesn't take too long since all matches are about \~5 minutes. If you want that elusive Jam Track or backbling, here are some helpful Crown Jam hints to make it less extremely painful (for you): * **Squad up with a group of friends!!** This is the single most important tip I can give, that little extra bit of communication and coordination goes a LONG way and gives you a massive advantage over the other team. It can be done solo, but squadding up helps a lot! * In my opinion, the best ability to use is **Big Bean**. It has so much utility--resisting and dishing out tackles, ensuring a dunk, picking up the ball ... AITAH For Wanting an Abortion and not telling my pro-life partner about it?2h agoI, 27f have been dating my boyfriend, 30m (let's call him David) for a little over 7 months now. IMPORTANT NOTE: His ex before me had an abortion. We live with his parents who took me in after my ex-fiancé kicked me out of our home after breaking up. (His parents were mad at me for ending our relationship before our marriage and forced him to kick me out) so, David and I's situation already isn't ideal. I had found out in December that I am pregnant with ny first child and I was ecstatic. We told his family and my family early on during Christmas and it was exciting despite the obvious fear I had (Financial issues, still living with his parents, not a big enough home to raise... Lessons learned while shortlisting a mobile app development partner for a US-based product2h agoHey folks, I’ve been evaluating mobile app development companies for a custom app aimed at a US audience, and figured I’d share a few observations from the process. This isn’t a review or recommendation post—more of a “what I noticed” while talking to different teams. Instead of sponsored lists or rankings, I spent time on intro calls, discovery sessions, and follow-up conversations. That alone filtered out a lot of options. A few things that ended up mattering more than I expected How well the team understands US user behavior and expectations Whether they push back on vague requirements (in a good way) If they talk about post-launch iterations, not just delivery Clarity ... My Burden is Light2h ago**This is my first time writing anything outside of school, so it might be rough. But I finished a game called oneshot recently. It moved me so much that I wanted to write a book that took the same idea of restoring the light. Please give me any insights on what to fix or on how to plan out my book, as I really don't know anything about writing but want to learn.** He woke up. Dreary-eyed, he slowly sat up. A faint dark blue light provides the little light in the room. Looking at that light, he wonders why he woke up. His mind wandered to multiple reasons, such as bladder issues, temperature, and thirst. While he stared into the wall in front of him, an unrelated thought popped like a ... Legal doc privacy2h agoI need some help from someone who's a lawyer or knows the domain. I have been getting my hands dirty on some practical AI and trying it out on the legal domain. I saw there are a lot of legal research companies out there. Manupatra, LexisNexis, Indian Kanoon to name a few big ones. I am curious how they ensure the privacy of the documents? Or is it fine to upload your documents on 3rd Party Saas? hello everyone, I am looking to learn more about Mizoram and make friends2h agoHi, so since last year i have been reading a lot about mizoram and trying to learn about the culture and people. I watched many vlogs, read posts and articles and I have been in love with the place. I plan to and am hoping to visit mizoram around December or Jan next year and couldn't be happier, its my favorite place to visit now hehe. yeah so in the meanwhile, i want to prepare well, learn a lot about the culture, history, the people there and all the things I can. I will sure watch more vlogs and read posts. But I'd be happy to make a few friends who get along and help me learn more and yk just be good friends. I heard everyone from there is very kind and good so it should ... I know the sameer from Rimjhim!2h agoOkay so I know this guy, I lived in the same city as him and he lived nearby, this was a few years back when he was just starting out and wasn’t landing any major gigs, we actually went out a couple times and he was sweet we became friends quick since I was into theater too so yeah we used to roam around a lot and he always was a nice guy but not the smartest person I knew, he isn’t the most aware person intellectually. He is a big flirt, charming and shy but yeah as we grew up we went different ways, he moved to bombay and I got a job so different paths, we were in touch until 2 years ago although I still have his number. 25 [M4F] #Europe/Online - Feeling Lonely And Looking for the missing piece to my puzzle <32h agoHello there! Thank you for deciding to read my post and for giving me a chance! I've been feeling particularly lonely lately, and I am hoping to make strong connections of all sorts to help alleviate the pain of that. Here are some things about me: * My name is Dan. * I turned 25 years old very recently! * I'm not religious and agnostic. * I live alone with my two adorable, beautiful, wonderful cats (I'm 100% sure that they are the most beautiful and handsome cats in existence) in Istanbul/Turkey/Europe (UTC+03:00) * Since 2023, when I graduated from my pilot operations university, I started working my dream job as an airline pilot in A320 family aircraft (I've been a hu... Looking for a sandbox adventure-based game2h agoI'm in a mood where I don't want to do stuff like go through a dramatic main storyline or plod through a list of sidequests. I just want a big sandbox world where I go explore and collect loot, something to mindlessly chill out with. Maybe something with a base to build, and ideally no survival mechanics. Online multi-player, but with the option for solo play. I imagine something like Sea of Thieves is probably what I'm looking for, but I don't know a lot about it. How's that these days? Is it too deep into microtransaction **** at this point? PS5 preferred, but I can do Steam and Switch 2 too. Had my first therapy session. Going NC does a lot more with me than I thought. What are your therapy insights?2h agoWell the title pretty much says it all. Yesterday i made the big leap of going to therapy for the first time. (Scary as **** btw, but so worth it so far). There were some general questions of why i chose to therapy and what i would like to achieve in the end etc etc. But quickly we dove a bit deeper (i told her i was open to talk about anything so she doesn’t have to hold back). I told her about growing up (both my parents are very emotionally immature, and that there pretty much was no space for emotional conversations and how i now value this deeply as an adult. I talked about my parents divorce when i was 18 and what happened (my mom cheated on my dad and a lot of lying to my face a... 25 [M4F] #Europe/Online - Feeling Lonely And Looking for the missing piece to my puzzle <32h agoHello there! Fake or not?2h agoI got this jacket at a vintage sale and I’m not sure if it’s real or not. A few things make me think it’s suspect but at the same time some make me think it’s real Fake: 1: lightly spelt ligthly in the cleaning instructions - this is the big one at (1) in the cleaning instructions but it is the only “obvious mistake” and would be an unusual one to make so could be a typo. 2: None of the buttons have Belstaff on them. This seems to be common. However the YKK seems to match up with older versions and the zipper dos als look the same as older models. 3: No inner pocket - unusual but not impossible for some older jackets. Real 1: good quality - I have a lot of waxed jacke... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
