Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Big Lots Latest Community Discussions About Big LotsHair fall3h agoThis is a topic that has been brought up a few times. I just want to share my experience from someone who has lived here for a year and have been dealing with issues. I’m a 23 year old male from the US. Family has amazing hair genes on both sides so balding never seemed to be an issue for me. About 3 months into living here I started experiencing shedding. Nothing crazy but enough to buy a shower filter for my condo. Never experienced anything like this before so did some research. Turns out it was common in Thailand with many blaming the water. It only got worse from there. I’ve been dating my girlfriend for about 8 months, and her hair is all over my condo. She, along with ot... Tromeo and Juliet3h agoA hard to find laserdisc which is even harder to find with all the contents including a mini poster signed by the man himself Lloyd Kaufman, I love Toxie sticker and copy of Troma times. Hearing Paz's final diary entry for the first time made me reconsider my opinion on MGSV as a whole3h agoLike many people I was pretty mad that MGSV's story was left with numerous dangling plot threads. I played through the game roughly when it came out on PS4 and while I had a lot of fun and enjoyed some of the story beats, I would have rather it been presented in a similar fashion to previous games in the series. I replayed it on PC recently. I finished all the main missions, and my opinion on it was slowly starting to shift as I began to understand that ultimately it is \*our\* story. I finished the Paz sidequest and for the first time, heard all of her diary entries. "Peace Day never came." Her final diary entry was probably the hardest gut punch I've felt in any v... Judgment Day (GME Edition?)3h agoThe GME thump up (2.-3.) almost resembles the thump up (1.) from the Terminator: Judgment Day ending scene. Also it kinda looks like the golden thump up (4.) from Impractical Jokers? Also there is the „thump war with Buffett“ Post. ****, can‘t wait for some smart ape to figure this out🫣 RC is literally the meme king 😂 I don’t know if I should be annoyed or hyped at this point. Whatever - earnings will be a blast, and at some point there’ll be a Netflix movie or some gigantic brain ape explaining it😁 Everything is happening at the same time and nobody in charge seems bothered…3h agoI don’t know if it’s just me, but these three things happening at once feels like a giant warning siren nobody wants to acknowledge. 1️⃣ Foreign central banks dumping U.S. Treasuries for GOLD Look at the chart — for the first time since the 90s, foreign central banks are holding more gold than U.S. debt. This is the kind of thing countries do when they don’t trust the future of the system holding everything together. If the world is quietly shifting away from the dollar, that’s not some niche financial event — that’s the foundation cracking. But sure, everything is fine. 2️⃣ Sam Altman saying jobs that disappear “weren’t real work anyway” This one actually m... How does it work in the Netherlands?3h agoHey lushies, I’ve got a couple of questions about some lush NL stuff: -is it true that we don’t have a reward system on the lush club app (yet)? I’m ordering lots of things but I don’t see rewards. Will this be made available in NL? -how does returning empties in store work? How many can i return at a time? -is it true that we can’t subscribe to kitchen boxes in NL? Thank you! Galaxy S25 Fe vs Razer 20253h agoI have a Razer Moto edge+ 2023 and was about to upgrade, trying to decide between the two mentioned above. However, I found out that both have swapped to using their respective "own" processors vs snapdragon. So, how bad are the Exonys and Mediatek processors, specifically when compared to the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that my current phone has? And how big of a drop is the Mediatek vs the Exo? I use my phone a lot, but not for anything extremely demanding. Just general web browsing and some casual gaming (like Pokemon Pocket). I like the idea of the flip phone and I've gotten used to Motos UI and gestures over Samsungs as the last Galaxy phone I used was the Note 10+. some interesting swe-rebench results3h agoI like this bench (swe-rebench.com) a lot because it's everchanging the problems, I think it is by far the best mechanism to bench coding models, I hope the guys will maintain it, and you can see how models fare to new problems, because that's the actual intelligence. Firstly Opus 4.5 is the king, this is undisputed, clear, though I don't see them to have tried 5.1 codex max, anyway. What is super duper interesting is... Freaking M2, if you filter for 15th October - 1st November you get this crazyness: Minimax M2: pass@1 43% , pass@5 71.4% (1/10th the cost of Opus btw) Opus 4.5: pass@1 55.2%, pass@5 61.9% For the entire October month they are equal on pass@5 at... At what point is it not recommended to use PythonOperator to run jobs ?3h agoHello, I'm currently setting up Airflow at the startup I work for. I'm originally a software engineer who’s doing a lot more DevOps now, so I'm afraid of making a few wrong architectural choices. My initial naive plan was to import our application code directly into Airflow and run everything with PythonOperator. But I’ve seen many people recommending not doing that, and instead running jobs on ECS (or similar, in our case it would be ECS) and triggering them via EcsOperator. What I’m trying to understand is whether this principle is always true, and if not, where to draw the line? If I have a scalable Airflow deployment with multiple workers and CeleryExecutor, sh... 25 [M4F] CA/Online Tall and Tatted looking for the long term3h agoHonestly, my end dream is a happy family and happy wife. I want to find someone who loves me and also strides towards that goal. So if that sounds like something you’d be interested in, here’s some more details about me. I am handsome, have a beard, two half sleeves of tattoos, and i’m pretty thin. I’m really passionate about bugs, and nature in general(I like hiking and catching butterflies). I also love gardening, plants and weed. I am also very nerdy; I play a lot of video games whenever possible. Big favorites include : Pokemon games, Dragon quest, Fallout, Binding of isaac, and League. My idea candidate is going to be someone that wants to rely on me, can handle my rants abou... New Topic....Proposal?3h agoSharing because it came up on an online panel. Energy and energy prices, discussions, maybe this has already been talked about. #Strange Social and Economic Picture? - for some, the experience of buying gas in US (my home country) seems uncertain. Not totally elastic good, for example we think gas at $12/gallon or some number, people just STOP they stop driving, when they get here. It isnt true. In reality how it is, many-millions with, above average consumption (for global mean) pay $4 or $5 per gallon. Very cheap price? It just seems odd, its the price. - pricing transparency. People may complain, but there are many global indicators of the price and supply of oil...floating, raw-cru... I Finally Relaunched a Platform I First Tried to Build in 2015 — AI Made It Possible This Time3h agoHi everyone—thanks for reading this. I’m building Service Platform PoomAt solo and wanted to share the journey, what’s working, and where I need your feedback. In 2015 I tried to build a platform that could connect local helpers with people who just needed things done—errands, quick fixes, small jobs. I was on my own, AWS bills piled up, and the ML pieces were brittle and expensive. I shelved it, but the itch never really went away. Fast-forward to 2025 and coding with AI changed the calculus. Instead of wrestling infra for weeks, I could ask an LLM to scaffold flows, tighten validation, and keep the costs sane enough that a solo dev could get to an MVP. The speed is addictive, but ... Building a “Willy wonka” pet rescue -Willy wonka kin3h agoI will warn y’all that this is really really long, haha I have been strangely obsessed with the 2005 Charlie and the chocolate factory. And I really wanna decorate my animal room to feel like it is ripped right out of the book (or movie I suppose, but more the book) Willy wonka strangely gives me some animal person vibes, (mostly because of him sticking to his guns about not selling Mr Salt a “walnut shelling squirrel” no matter how much money he was offered, and he seemed to have a good understanding of each of the worker squirrels and their personalities) And since there are so many things in the book and the 2005 movie that have to do with animals, I’m gonna theme my animal ... I'm the AH and it hurts3h agoMy life has been raw **** since the beginning of October. A lot of small things adding up. My GF was getting financially abused at work, I was getting pulled a dozen directions at work. My home life has never been fantastic. We both enjoy what we do, but being able to do it is easier said than done. I had a friend that I really started connecting with around March. We had a lot in common and understood some of each other’s nuances. This friend was TransMasc - born female, raised a Tomboy, and changed identities as soon as he could. My GF liked him and he came over for dinner several times, we hung out a lot on weekends, going places, etc. One of the things we had in common is that we like... baby with big appetite / advice?3h agoHi - I’m about to call it quits on breastfeeding. Almost 9 weeks pp and FTM. Initially everything went great, baby born at 3.4kg and was gaining weight quickly and frequent / long feeds but that’s normal for a new born. Then his weight plateaud around week 2 which is not a good sign. I saw a LC who mentioned baby had a mild tongue tie but not necessary to treat him if we work on bf / latching positioning and 1) add top ups, 2) pull off boob (20min+60ml top up or 30min+30ml top up) and 3) replace 3 feeds with pumping and 100-120ml bottle. I could not pump the amounts required for top ups / full feeds so started supplementing with formula. For the last weeks I’ve been doing breastfeedi... Falling in and out of love again and again and again3h agoHey Reddit, it's my first time writing something. I (20,M) have lived all my life surrounded by male friends and male colleagues, i didn't have any female friends, wasn't in any relationships, i wasnt in any big community, there's no reason or intention for this idk that's how my life went. Last year it was my first college year, i got introduced to the college community, a lot of people from the opposite gender, i didn't have any difficulties with them i just treat them like i treat my guy friends. There is one girl i met, that me and her talked a lot at uni, about music, movies, whatever, and overtime i developed some feelings for her. I went through a delu... Soo done with the dating apps, trying my luck on reddit.3h agoHii i am 24M 5'11 and shifted to Mumbai recently (originally Delhi) and CA by profession. I love traveling and trekking. I’ve completed 4–5 treks so far, and I’m just getting started. I’m mostly an ambivert quiet until I’m comfortable, then suddenly the funny one in the room. Loyalty is kind of my default setting. Big on meaningful connections (not here just for timepass), and those random deep conversations that start late at night and go nowhere… and everywhere. I had one serious relationship, ended about a year ago taught me a lot about what I want and what I don’t. Now I’m in a good, stable headspace and open to something genuine. If honesty, emotional maturity,... Nickelodeon non-Nicktoon shows that defined your childhood?3h agoEven if they didn’t start on Nick originally, if they aired there and became part of your after-school routine, they still count. Nickelodeon shaped a lot of my childhood, and honestly, even if I can’t go back and binge every single show now, a handful of them still hit the same way they did back then. For me, the ones that feel the most “home” are iCarly, Big Time Rush, Ned’s Declassified, Victorious, Zoey 101, The Amanda Show, and Drake & Josh. Those four were like the core memories. I still catch myself rewatching random episodes when I just need something fun and familiar—like the kind of shows you put on when you want to forget life for a second. I also watched a l... The Avenging Eagle (1978) - Ti Lung & Alexander Fu Sheng facing off against **** Wei and others3h agoI remember adding watching this because I love **** Wei Wei as a henchman/ big bad. Probably my favorite ever. I love the camera angles and phrenetic pace that this has but I know it’s not for everyone. This was my first for a lot of the cast but Ti Lung has stood out the most. Great actor. Ku Feng too. He just chews up scenery in this. ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
