I either go with Apple EMI plan or do full pay, as they are already giving only $25 for 80GB Oppo Find X9 Pro is all above...1m agoI was waiting for Oppo's new launch, so that I can ask retailer for more discount on existing models. And as soon as Ultra launched, I ran back to store to grab X9 Pro, and got to know that oppo has pulled all Pro's models out of the market. And I have personally experienced that there is very very less diff in ultra and pro photography. And I strongly believe that Pro is better then 12GB Ultra new launches. Now in whole country I can not find Pro's stock... That's crazy. The 10 Kind Standards1m agoThe Ten Kind Standards of Retail Business Kind first. Standards from there. \-- I. Safety is kind. And while throughout the night, Gardiner has held tight to his only song in this game, all the votes inside the people of this subreddit have been sleeping, waiting 'til the right time... What was your favorite Head Shop in the 70s and what did you buy there besides pipes and zigzag papers?2m agoAmerican head shops originated in the 1960s. Head shops proliferated on St. Mark's Place in New York City's East Village, in West Los Angeles, in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, and in Chicago's Old Town. The Psychedelic Shop on Haight Street in San Francisco is probably the first head shop in the United States. From 1968 to c. 1975, head shops served as an outlet for underground newspapers and the underground comix of Robert Crumb and other counterculture cartoonists. The shops' popularity eventually waned with the aging of that era's baby boomer generation. In the mid-1970s, the sale of drug paraphernalia was outlawed in many places, and the... Modern War and the Collapse of Victory3m agoFor most of modern history, powerful nations have carried inside them an old imperial dream of war. The dream is simple. A crisis begins. Armies move. The stronger force crushes the weaker one. A capital falls. A flag rises. The ***** signs papers. The winner redraws the map and calls the new arrangement peace. That is the war story empires like to tell themselves because it gives violence a clean ending. It makes war look like a tool. Brutal, yes, but useful. You apply enough force, the enemy breaks, the world rearranges itself, and history moves on. That story is dying. The modern war machine can still destroy almost anything it touches. It can level neighborhoods, burn refineries, block... Impulsive buy, it was either that or it was never happening.3m agoI have a hard time spending money. Always been good at saving it! So there's always a bit of anxiety to get over when making large purchases. But I have been itching to learn manual. I've only had my license for a few years, I lived in NYC all my life. That was a fun thing to do at 32, feeling some of those same feelings now. The plan was to save up and buy a GR86, but the thought of spending 40k on a car was not something I could stomach. Used ones were practically the same price. My brother showed me some recent wagon listings from a popular tuner shop. They look over the cars and compression test them, so despite it being used/modded I had some degree of confidence. I really... How much is this worth (you can also offer)4m agoit’s D/W has a blue fade skin and all ascensions are on damage I can change to female if you request. Why is the same electric toothbrush almost 100 CHF cheaper on Galaxus than everywhere else?5m agoI’m shopping for an electric toothbrush and found that the price on Galaxus is almost 100 CHF lower than everywhere else, including Interdiscount, Fnac, and even the Philips online store. It’s the exact same model, same generation/year, and even same product reference. I would normally expect the manufacture's store to set the baseline price that other retailers follow, so this big difference is a bit surprising. My main concern is avoiding knock-offs or gray-market imports. Is there some catch with Galaxus pricing that I’m missing? How can Galaxus sell the same product so much cheaper than everyone else, including the manufacturer itself? Shopping in person in Shanghai! 🇨🇳 First bag from Zion's offline store!5m agoCurrently in China for work and decided to finally make a purchase after lurking forever. I had Zion added from the sub and realized he has an offline store right here in Shanghai. I was way too anxious to buy online, so I just walked right into his shop today. Since I'm still a newbie with bags, I really need your eyes. How does this one look to you guys? Am I the only person in this subreddit ever to have watched Tutenstein, Time Warp Trio, Kenny the Shark, Growing Up Cree...6m agoI'm genuinely curious if anyone here ever watched these shows. They were on Discovery Kids USA, which wasn't as popular as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. Each of these shows were educational as Discovery Kids was an educational channel. Each of them focused on a different topic for education. Kenny the Shark had shark facts, Tutenstein had ancient Egypt facts, Time Warp Trio had history facts, Growing Up Creepie had bug facts and Grossology had gross biology facts. As for what these shows were about? Kenny the Shark was basically a sitcom with slapstick-y cartoony elements. It was about a shark who got tired of living on land and then a girl decided she wante... Its charm comes from how simple and relatable it is—family life, school days, and of course… jumping in muddy puddles. Interesting fact: the show has been broadcast in over 180 countries and translated into dozens of languages, making Peppa one of the most recognisable children’s characters worldwide. Characters like: Peppa Pig George Pig Daddy Pig Mummy Pig …feel familiar because they reflect everyday family life in a fun, exaggerated way. 📺 Episodes Everyone Recognises Part of the magic is how memorable even the sim... WHY WE MUST COME OUT & VOTE, EVEN IF THE DEMOCRATS DO NOT SEEM TO HAVE A COHESIVE MESSAGE8m agoWe are in a generational mess with many issues, that need to be fixed. ***None*** of them can be fixed without first curbing an autocratic President. I will frankly admit that the Democrats do not exactly excite me. I so wish that I heard a coherent, unified game plan from them, beyond ‘Trump is an ass’. That having been said, what this Congress (& the Republican party in general) has shown us is that, on their best day, they are nothing more than a rubber stamp for Trump. Without some checks & balances, we are inevitably barreling into autocracy. Our country - & the world- is in imminent danger. Trump’s eviction from the WH therefore must take priority, over e...
