I’m not sure about the raw milk cheese though. Aniscororia4h agoUSA, may be able to go to emergency vet but unlikely. Emergency vet is far away, no car, and am at the mercy of an estranged family member. Haven't contacted them yet. Spayed female 10-11 years old. I can afford vet care. About 2 weeks ago I witnessed my cat having a seizure. I don't know if it was her first seizure but it's the first I witnessed. Got her to the emergency vet that night. The x-ray and blood work didn't help much. Alert, no clear brain damage, everything functioning fine. Mildly enlarged heart, suspected enteritis, mildly elevated white blood cells. She had antibiotics about 2 months ago for a dental infection. Bad breath hasn't returned but we suspe... Is there an easier way to take H. Pylori medications?4h ago46, male, Caucasian, 6'1", 155 lbs, USA, non-smoker, no drugs I recently tested positive for H. Pylori and was prescribed a generic "all-in-one" pill that was unfortunately not covered by insurance, so the solution was to prescribe each medication separately: * Tetracycline 500 mg (1 pill, 4x daily, on "empty stomach") * Metronidazole 500 mg (1 pill, 4x daily, recommended with food but CAN be without) * Omeprazole 20 mg (1 pill, 2x daily) * Pepto Bismol 262 mg chewable tables (2 tablets, 4x daily, with or without food) As you can see, I'm taking 18 pills each day and it's a lot to organize. The only schedule I could think of (if taking Metronidazole... Southwest Roadtrip Advice4h agoMy partner and I are from London, UK and are honeymooning in the USA next November! We have a wedding in Mexico City in the middle of November so we’d love to spend two weeks USA roadtripping before heading off. We’re thinking the West Coast - we’ve have planned to fly into Las Vegas at Halloween, then drive to Sedona, AZ down to Joshua Tree then San Diego and finish off in LA. We’d love some recommendations ideas, tips or advice! Anything to add or remove? Anything we aren’t taking into account? We aren’t super outdoorsy people, but would love to see the the desert and would be happy for an easy-medium hike. We’re into good food, thrifting (chazza shopping in the UK), local... Pork loin, tomato, corn, oranges, and pinto bean soup - seems to be the best name for it.6h agoI had an odd amalgamation of ingredients and I looked them up together online and it threw back a few variations and lurk here so I said “f$&@ it” threw everything together in the cooker and it came together pretty well! Looking to (likely temporarily) move from Philly, but need somewhere with character!6h agoSo my gf and I are in our mid 20s and are just looking for a change/to explore something new. Ive spent my entire life within a 45 min radius and dont really know anything outside of philly in terms of living there. Let me know if a city like this exists: Needs to be: Not a totally transplanty city (LA/NYC) but also not totally locals either. Ideally a mix of both. I really value a local culture being there but also like having some transplants (ideally not only finance bros or tech bros too, bonus if theres an at least somewhat existant alt community) to meet new people go to cool bars etc Having an existent nightlife. I like drinking going out to bars/clubs etc but it doesnt need to b... Senior Cat struggling to pass stools despite pumpkin6h ago(USA) Senior cat (17m, fixed) has had issues in the past when he once pooped in my room and cried out. Took him to the vet, nothing wrong with physical condition or blood work. Been going okay since then with occasional small stool found around the house. Has clean litter boxes shared with another senior cat. Poops regularly, no built up constipation. Since that first vet visit we started giving him daily pumpkin, about 1.5 tbsp per day mixed with churu for about 2 years now. Otherwise eats dry food - Purina one Indoor Advantage, hairball control He has pooped inside twice recently. When I look at the litterbox footage, he attempts to go in the litterbox and stains for a bit. Then gives up... 31M NYC/NJ looking for a LTR, open to LDR within USA (SF/Seattle/Chicago)7h agoHi I’m a pretty chill, grounded guy who’s looking for a genuine connection with someone I can unwind with at the end of the day. Misleading fees8h agoLocation: MT, USA Hello legaladvice community, I had a question or two regarding hidden fees and the law regarding consumers and their rights within that. For context, today I decided to order food from Uber Eats and after selecting a cart I saw that the service fee was unreasonably high. The information tab claims that the service fee is always equal to 18% of the subtotal, but in my case the fee was equal to 31.4% of the subtotal and not the 18% as described. I then decided to go and test this with various other stores and found that there was always a higher amount than the standard 18%. Next to the service fee it says “and other fees” but it doesn’t have any information about... Tried mac and cheese for the first time8h agoFor context, I'm not from the USA, so I've never had it. It's not really common around here, but in recent years ive seen it pop up in grocery stores here and there. I know it's a safe food for a large number of us arfid sufferers so I was curious about it and today while shopping I saw a box and grabbed it. I made it as basic as possible, without any additional ingredients, just the pasta and cheese sauce. I must say the taste was... a bit overwhelming but fine. The smell was to be expected of cheese but the texture was exquisite. I definetly wont be eating it in it's "raw" form again but I imagine adding for example broccoli as recommended on the box (w...
