Sour candy is my absolute favorite and it's hard to find something in the USA that satisfies that urge. I feel warheads decades used to be it, but they have changed. Barnetts is pretty much there, but I think they taste like chemicals, it's gross and not worth it. Since I can't find a source that completely melts me, my technique is to eat sour candy until wounds open up on my mouth/tongue. This is when it starts to get good. We have tried pretty much every type of cat treat, pouch, food, etc. we can find to get this cat to take his meds. I am going to the store tomorrow to find some human food options because for reasons I cannot get into this cat cannot be hospitalized. We have tried keeping him inside before but he gets so stressed that he stops eating and won't move at all even when humans are not in the building. I just bought these sesame chips today (April 29, 2026) and as soon as I opened them, they smelled like rancid oil. The taste was bitter, too. So, this Dollar Tree in Niagara Falls, Ontario has product on its pegs that are waaay past the best before date. I bought them thinking it was 2026, but the taste and smell indicates 2025 and sources online say that this expiry date is 2025.
