I have a Duncan Hines stainless steel pot from before 1985. A Google search tells me it was made by Regal Ware in the USA and is 3-ply 18-8 stainless steel. I don't know what that means exactly, but this pot seems awfully thin and not suitable for high heat unless I'm boiling water. We primarily use this pot for soups and cooking macaroni. I typically don't have issues with it as long as I don't use high heat. I have a 35 year old Kenmore electric oven and range. If I'm making soup, I basically bring it to a boil while stirring often and then simmer at 5-6 (on the temperature dial), rarely at 7 and never at 8 or 9. I have good insurance in USA because of a government job. The shots are costing me $30 a month. My food costs are down -250 a month which I had not even planned for. I SO wish everyone were in the same boat insurance-wise. We know the health benefits of an ideal weight but It really makes me wonder if these drugs could have major economic and environmental impacts if readily available and affordably sold and produced. I moved to Italy a few months ago with my 14 year old cat (about to turn 15 in march), and that point everything was fine (I thought). She was curious and able to see, and everyone said she was a calm cat as far as flying goes, but I did notice her eyes were always so big and open ever since the plane ride.
