My husband and I are planning our next 2 week trip for this summer. I think we are about 80% set on Sri Lanka but open to other ideas we may not have considered. Priorities are affordability (we usually spend under $100 per night for hotels), nature, food, history, culture, animals, scuba, beaches, and kiteboarding, and ability to get away from crowded touristy areas. Hi all! My 6-year-old was recently diagnosed with an allergy to cow's milk, more specifically the proteins in cow's milk alpha-lactalbumin and beta-lactoglobulin. The issue is, she is like most 6 year olds and is very picky, the even bigger issue is cheese and milk are her safe foods… milk & butter are very easy replacements so far as she likes soy milk and oat milk and there's lots of options on the market for those…. In Australia, as far as I’m aware, if something is labelled GF, it’s safe for coeliacs to eat. Most even consider a product without a ‘may contain traces of gluten’ safe to eat. I often see gluten free labelled products on here with people asking if it’s safe for those with coeliac in USA. This is very confusing. I’m planning a couple of trips overseas and am questioning whether or not packaged GF food is safe. Does anyone know if Europes labelling laws fall into line closer to Australian laws?

Non indian living in the USA who loves indian food here. I have access to specialty stores relativley locally in NYC (the Apna Bazaar, Patel Bros chains, plus lots of smaller independent local shops located in the various south asian enclaves), but I would love to do a bulk order and have it delivered out of convenience (it can be a pain to bring large heavy bags of dal and rice on the subway). Also, online stores tend to have better pricing than brick and mortar shops in the city (and the above supermarket chains do not deliver to my me). Does anyone have any suggestions for reccomended specialized online stores that are NOT amazon? Thank you!
