I have just finished my first ever visit to Seoul. I loved the city! Such friendly people, so clean, and amazing food! I love kimchi! Yesterday I was surprised to see the politics rally for Rok with lots of American flags and big picture of Donald Trump. I am not American by the way. I understand America was a big help to Korea in the past and there is a good relationship there. I’m from Spain and to us we are very anti Trump and anti MAGA. I believe this support is also to do with aligning to USA over China? Would any locals be able to explain to me what I saw? Are many local Korean like Trump? i already have struggled with mental health issues my entire life so i'm very susceptible to depressive episodes and get them very often. i became cruelty free and vegetarian this year and about two weeks ago decided to go fully plant based, not really holding myself to the expectation to fully committing. i've always know the meat and dairy industry was imperfect, but i never knew the full extent. i was ignorant and had too many issues in my life to stop and think about where the food on my plate came from, especially during times of food scarcity. my perception of animal agriculture was that, surely something so common that everyone partakes in, there has to be some sort of stand...

I make a good living for myself as a single guy.... im not rolling in millions of dollars, but I make just over 100k. 5 years ago, I was making 75k. Despite the 33% increase in pay, the money seems to pay for less than it did when I made 75k. I remember paying rent in 2021-2022 at around 1200 a month for a nice studio in my city. I went on vacations, and I bought lots of nice things I wanted to enjoy. Now in 2026, rent is so much higher, food is so much more expensive, and vacations feel the same cost as before, despite making 25k more. I'm not even a big spender these days. I buy everything from the grocery store mostly, cook for myself. I don't date currently, and I go on vaca...

Day 10 inpatient. Grade 3 Gastroparesis. Last dinner before GJ Tube placement, literally the exact same meal I've had for breakfast lunch and dinner each day. Chicken broth tastes like McCormick curry powder with water and no salt (2/10) Unsweetened caffeine free iced tea (2/10) Orange Smart Gel (vegan) (5/10) Apple juice (6/10) Ensure clear, apple flavor (whey protein isolate based, 8g protein, 56g carbs, 0g fat) (4/10) In the grey pitcher, a friend smuggled me a Coke Zero (I'm not specifically NOT allowed soda- it IS clear-ish, it just feels sneaky) I miss protein and fat so much, I'd commit a felony for some mashed potatoes!

The postal service has a campaign where, on the 2nd Saturday in May, they ask for food donations to be left beside the mailbox. We bought some non-perishables and placed them outside and the postal carrier didn't even bother to take them. I mean, we'll take them to a food bank, but why go all the trouble of advertising it and sending out mailers just to ignore the donations?

Am I the only one that likes to imagine these guys as prehistoric carpet LEGOs?
