49 States. 6 Provinces. 35 Years of Stories

# 🗺️ 49 States. 6 Provinces. 35 Years of Stories. Anyone can sell you a tent. **However**, very few can tell you exactly how that tent holds up during a coastal storm in Oregon or a humid night in the Georgia pines. I’ve spent over three decades in the food industry and have spent most of my life on the road. From sleeping in my car under the desert stars to pitching tents in the Canadian wilderness, I’ve navigated nearly every corner of North America. Because I’ve "been there and done that," I created [**CampersGoToGear.com**](http://CampersGoToGear.com) to be more than just a shop—it’s a roadmap for your own journey. # Real Experience You Can Trust: * **State-b...

M33 Chest Pain/Anxiety/Stomach issues

4h ago

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. And I’m sorry I’m long winded. Moderators, if this is too much, please delete. M33, Southern USA, 6’1” 302lbs. Fairly fit, pudgy in the stomach. I enjoy the outdoors and am fairly active but have a semi-sedentary job (office job in manufacturing, so I’m at the computer 85% of the time and walking the plants 15%). Typically aim for my 10k steps a day. Walked 6.5 miles this past Saturday AM through the woods (no trails) with no issues. So I may be chunky but I can still get it on. I do have sleep apnea for what it’s worth. Currently use a CPAP. So now the issue(s). This has been going on for a few years but is increasingly getting worse....

for 24 hours, I’ve just tried to feed a stray cat that I brought in dry food and wet food. She has refused both and now she just tried to steal a chicken nugget from me from Chick-fil-A so then I got some fried chicken from the fridge and I peeled the skin off and I gave her the chicken and she ate it. I gave her some milk as well. What cat food can I buy for her to eat when she refuses cat food and wet food ?? please help I need advice. She hasnt ate or used the litter box at all since being with me, and she just now ate because I figured out she only eats **** HUMAN FOOD. What do i do…. Cat seems to be 4 months, havent gone to the vet yet as they are closed.. I am 18 and can do everyt...

1 million? 5 million gallons? Or something else entirely?

I’d love to hear everyone’s views on this or things I haven’t taken into account as I’m not a mathematician or a researcher, I’m a hairdresser (just finished a cut five minutes ago), but I like math. I’m not guaranteeing these numbers; they are estimations based on the information I found available online. Most water usage numbers for cities and states I could not find available for 2025. From what I could find, it seems hyperscale data centers are what are genuinely used for ai so my numbers are based on those, not all data centers. If this is not the appropriate place to post this, I apologize and can re/move it if so. Also if I’m totally off I’m sorry I mostly did this for...

Understanding Grid Modernization: The Biggest Market Trend of 2026

5h ago

2025 was the year of bitcoin miners, data center builders, and semiconductors. Companies apart of these trends grew exponentially over the past year because of the massive amounts of compute required for mass data center and AI consumption. 2026 is the year of a new trend— grid modernization. This massive influx of new energy is putting serious strain on the energy grid. Currently, the energy grid is outdated, with much of the infrastructure decades old. Energy demand is rising after decades of stagnation. This old infrastructure won’t cut it anymore. With data centers booming and climate change continuing, we need smart, upgraded infrastructure now. Lactulose for my cat

6h ago

My (30F, USA) cat (4M, orange tabby, neutered ) is currently dealing with constipation. I’ve let the vet know and he was prescribed Lactulose liquid form, to be given by mouth. My issue is it is supposed to go directly in the mouth and preferably not in wet food. I’ve tried multiple methods with no luck and have resorted to mixing the solution with a tiny amount of wet food. Has anyone found this to make Lactulose infective?

Is blood really thicker than water? I doubt it...

6h ago

Hello. This is my story: If there's one thing I have learned from family, is that blood is NOT thicker than water, like some claim it is. Some family members are, but there are those who are not. Friends are more important (and more family) to me than that kind of people (family in name only). I was supposed to have a good christmas years ago, with some siblings (we are all adults, and we were adults then). I had looked forward to it, but it wasn't at all what I had hoped for. I asked if I could help with anything, like food or anything at all. I was told that I wasn't needed for the cooking, which was fine. Then comes another of my siblings and ask the same thing, and s/he...

The Edit - Dupont Circle Hotel Washington DC

6h ago

Made a last minute booking last year to use these credits. **Hotel Review** Overall we enjoyed our stay. I've traveled to a handful of places in my life but usually on the good value end. I'd give the hotel a 8/10 for what it aims to be at the prices we (would've) paid. Every staff member, front desk to housekeeping, were extremely polite and helpful. The attached restaurant (The Pembroke) was also staffed with great people. Only issues we had were that the heated bathroom tile floors were extremely slow and only heated in certain hotspots (I've experienced heated floors in several Airbnbs and they were much better and covered the entire floor), the shower setup with a...

The Imperfect Men

To think that what gave me a reason to keep on going is what very well may cause my end eventually is not an ironic twist I would have seen coming, if it had been a substance I could see it, but knowledge? I never knew what it could entail and invite. Life was all just so plain, so repetitive, so dull, with that I think most people try to find some way to escape the monotony and I don't believe anyone else would blame me for doing the same. Some fill the void in their chest with relationships, maybe booze, others it may be sports and athletics, and even for some it can be items, but for me, it was stories of myth. I always felt hollow, I could socialize and pretend to laugh, or watch s...

Reflection on Christ the King

"When all those about you say, - 'This man deserves death,' don't listen to them. When all your great officers say, - 'This man deserves death,' don't listen to them. When the people all say, 'This man deserves death,' then inquire into the case, and when you see that the man deserves death, put him to death. In accordance with this we have the saying, 'The people killed him.'" - **Mencius, Disciple of Confucius** # (Matthew 25:35-40) **New American Bible (Revised Edition)** "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, ***** and you clothed me, ill and you cared ...

There are bigger issues in the US food system than which corporation Molly Baz is selling her ****** mayonnaise at

8h ago

This felt a bit too OT for the previous thread and I did not want to come across as attacking any one person, so I'm just going to get this off my chest here. IMO this is a "no ethical consumption" issue that is bigger than Target, because United States foodways fundamentally do not exist without prison labor. It's not to say we shouldn't critique Molly's complicity in the system and her choice to partner with a national grocery store versus, say, encouraging people to ask their locally-owned grocery store to stock her products while building her own logistics (which would still involve some sort of abuse in the food system somewhere down the line). Or hey, ...

Need advice to combine another place with Singapore for 4-5 days

8h ago

Hi, We are a family of 4 (2 boys - 8 years old, 15 years old) visiting Singapore in June. We have 5 more days to visit another place. We would love a lovely beach resort, a pristine place with gorgeous blue water/beaches and water activities. We live in the USA and have been to many beautiful Carribean islands and Hawaii. June unfortunately is not the best weather for Asia. I had looked at many places, and Koh Samui fit the bill weather wise as well as for the resorts/activities/beaches/food. Now I am reading reviews which say that it is a tourist trap and that the beaches are not clean and water is murky. Is there any other place you recommend to visit for 4-5 days in early to mid June? W...

Most used quote in my house

My son always decides he’s hungry at 8pm after refusing half his dinner and snacking all evening. Also pretty much everyday I say ‘perfect, like a cat birthday’. What random phrases do you use on the regs?
