Hello, I (f, 40, USA) ran my boy (2 years old, neutered) to the vet today because he started peeing blood. The vet did a urinalysis, ultrasound, and Xray. Ultrasound showed that there are signs of bladder stones + a lot of debris in his bladder. He's still peeing, only in small amounts, still ******, and usually grooms his area right after. The urinalysis showed that his kidneys are OK. FIV negative. Vet diagnosed FLUTD, said it was idiopathic, prescribed urinary food and painkillers. She said that there's not much we can do for him other than keep him on painkillers, feed him only wet food, and hope that this passes.
