My current vet said she has done everything she can. And I need to visit a a specialist; which there is none within 500 miles of me. My tuxedo cat is 10 years old. He has always overgroomed, but the past 6 months it's gotten very severe to the point of his skin turning red, scabs, and eye swollen shut. He has very little hair left on his chest, and none left on the tummy and legs. Vet told me it was an allergic reaction to his food. I had him on a vet ordered hydrolyzed protein for almost 2 years, no change. I trialed the Royal Canin Rabbit for 3 months. Nothing changed and on top of that, he lost 5 pounds..so I had to stop it. Hi everyone! Few months into being fully vegan and loving it. Slowly made the switch last year by eating what I already had, but only buying vegan products moving forward. My pantry became fully vegan around the new year. My rant pertains to my family. I (30f) am from the UK and currently on a trip to USA visiting family friends and cannot believe how difficult staying in a calorie deficit is. There are so many sneaky calories working their way into meals and snacks. The amount of added sugar is wild. The volume of food I have eaten has been forced to be so much less because even the likes of Turkey and carrots and have been glazed or covered in butter. Sticking to a calorie deficit is still possible but it’s certainly harder and I just want to say well done to everyone stateside who is losing fat because it’s no easy task.
