My 6 month old infant had his tongue cut on a sharp bit of plastic on a baby food pouch straw. Would there be grounds to...

Location: Lexington,KY USA We were feeding our 6 month old a squeeze pouch of baby food rated for 6+ months. We were holding it for him and squeezing the food into his mouth through the straw when he started screaming. We then noticed there was a little blood in his mouth and realized that he cut his tongue on a sharp bit of plastic that was left after the cap was removed. There are no written instructions that explicitly say to not feed through the straw or to serve the purée in another container and the product is designed, sold and advertised as a ready-to-eat and an on-the-go product. The injury isn’t too serious but we’re worried about infection and other babies getting injured. W...

Hoi! I just realized it’s been over 10 months since my last update on Feudums, so for those interested, here’s a **condensed** look at what’s been evolving in the open alpha. Feudums is still very much a living system, and most of the recent work has been about pushing the simulation deeper, making player interaction more meaningful, reducing friction and increasing cascading consequences between systems. Or to put it differently: Feudums got fewer situations where systems don’t meaningfully interact. So instead of listing updates (there are hundreds of smaller and bigger new features, posted in the changelogs on Steam), here’s what actually **feels different** after the last \...

First European Trip for my 30th Birthday! 8/4 - 8/17

4h ago

Hi, All! I (29F, from USA) will be traveling to Europe for my first time this summer to celebrate my 30th birthday:) Yes, I am highly aware that August is *high* tourist season and expect crowds in the places I will be going, however, that is not going to deter me from celebrating this very special occasion in Europe. I'm also choosing to celebrate my birthday here because there is a total solar eclipse happening on my actual birthday (8/12), that can only be seen from a few places in the world. So I am turning this into a bit of a "princess" trip, celebrating my 30th, the solar eclipse and because I've just always wanted to explore some of the many beautiful cultures ...

Branch perch info

4h ago

Well. My Greenwing chewed halfway through his main branch right where the mounting screw was (manzanita iirc) so the whole thing fell and I can't fix it. None of the pet places (including exotic specific) near me have anything big enough or are closed. One lady said "most people" use PVC pipe and wrap it with jute rope. He has left a couple concrete ones, an edible one, and the large dowel that is in front of the food and water. He won't hang out on the dowel. So what do you all do? Sites you buy from or diy. I'm in New Mexico, USA.

Best refinishing oil/treatment for TORNVIKEN island

6h ago

I discolored the surface of my TORNVIKEN kitchen island with some cleaning supplies by accident, and I am looking to understand the best stain, oil, or sealant to re-finish it after sanding. The STOCKARYD treatment oil is not available at any of my local IKEA stores (location USA) and cannot be ordered for shipment; is there another recommended or non-IKEA treatment oil to use for this? I don't use it for direct food preparation - I always use cutting boards, etc - but want to make sure it is sealed up right. Is something like this kind of "hard wax oil" the right thing to use? https://www.amazon.com/OSMO-Polyx-Hard-Wax-25-3/dp/B003RDW1UY/

It is okay to be trans, it always was.

6h ago

**Homage to Lou Reed who told trans and LGBT stories starting in the early 1960s writing about transwomen and LGBT folks that he knew. It took meeting Andy Warhol to get Lou Reed a record contract and studio time, but the results were decades ahead of their time and influenced punk, goth, darkwave, new wave and alternative.** **Velvet Underground and Lou Reed really broke the mold with experimental music, and telling stories that censors and the so-called "mOrAl mAjOrItY"** **really *****. VU music was banned from radio play, record labels refused to touch it, because it talked about the LGBTQI community, BDSM, drugs, prostitution and other topics that were disallowed by the...

#GovernorSherrill criticizes #Trump administration for deep cuts to food aid, emphasizing the importance of ensuring no one in New Jersey goes hungry. She pledges to fight back and fund food aid despite budget challenges. #FoodAid #NewJersey Governor Sherrill highlights the dire need for food assistance in New Jersey, one of the wealthiest states in the U.S. She attributes budget difficulties to federal cuts and stresses the importance of supporting those in need: “We are going to fight back and make sure that we are funding food aid.” — In New Jersey, there is no reason that anybody should go to bed hungry. That’s why, in my budget, I am protecting funding for our state food banks a...

Bought this custom beauty from u/clontmong who gave me an outrageous discount due to a barely perceptible "imperfection". It's an instant favourite, can't wait til the patina starts shining through to live up to the billboarding on the blade, which I love too. Been using it for all by food cutting for a couple of weeks, wiping/rinsing it off straight away each time, and the 'tina is starting to come through a wee bit but it still looks pretty new. The build quality is fantastic, it looks great, and I love using it. My only critical feedback is that it wasn't the sharpest ootb, but for me that's not even really a negative since part of owning a knife is ke...

There might be possibility that the price of gasoline going up to 200 pesos per liter ($3-$4) it is super heavy for motorist in the Philippines, even tho the Government provided subsidiaries. Still kulang pa din. Dont know about USA price tho. The strait of Hormuz is closed again. Like a Confusing toxic relationship. Another opinion of mine. The $100 dollar challenge is comical if it won't end in one week or 4 days.. most likely you guys are cheating. I know how expensive manila is and how things works. I can stretch that $100 for two weeks or even a month btw.... Just for my own food. Edit: Also the concept of your content is Good. But you deliver it bad. Most of your new audien...

**Blockbuster cancer drug corners the market** Keytruda hauls in billions for maker Merck **Ken Alltucker, Austin Fast and Sydney P. Freedberg** USA TODAY AND INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM OF INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS Just a few weeks after President Donald Trump's December promise that prescription drug prices would plummet “fast and furious,” Patricia Brown checked into a California clinic for an infusion of Merck & Co.'s blockbuster cancer drug, Keytruda. When the bill arrived, the clinic's charge for a 400 mg dose dominated the page: $162,567.74. Brown, an accomplished cook battling lung cancer, owed about $2,000. But the six-figure charges to Brown and her i...

WF Floral (2X) and Produce (2X), Greensboro, NC

Two floral bags, one bag had 1 dozen roses and 1 dozen tulips. Both were in fairly decent shape. The second bag had another dozen roses and a mixed flower arrangement, also in good shape. I've gotten 9 total floral bags this year and 7 have been house plants, so I was very happy to finally get some bouquets. Also got two produce bags. Bag one had two salad kits, broccoli florets, lettuce blend, and portobello mushrooms. Total value was $23.45, a bit over the promised $21 value. The second bag had another two salad kits, more broccoli florets, and a mixed mushroom medley. Value was $18.26, below the promised $21 value, but the two bags added together came close to hitting the value mar...
