Hey there, I (22, USA, Vet available, funds limited) have a 3.5 year old female long hair cat that went to the vet 5 days ago for suspicion of a UTI and discovered she has bladder stones. I was given antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and liquid pain medication (buprenorphine) to administer at home. I was also given prescription food to ‘help dissolve the stones’ and advised to sprinkle gabapentin on her food. My cat has continued to use the bathroom very frequently, as much as 5 times in 20 minutes. Blood is apparent in her urination. As of yesterday morning, she stopped eating the prescription food.
