Cat with crystals because of stress? Unsure about what?

10h ago

Hi everyone Poster Age: 30 Country: Midwest, USA Vet info: Went to 2 vets two weeks ago and just gave a pee sample to our current vet + appointment tomorrow morning Main Issue: Noodle got crystals (both professionals assumed because of stress) two weeks ago and we gave her an antibiotic injection, bladder spasm medication, and 25 mg of Gabapentin until it seemed like she was feeling better. But today (post 2 weeks) she is peeing blood again. We do not know what she would be anxious about. Nothing major changed. She has a bonded “brother” (4 yrs old, orange male cat, neutered) whom she gets along with. (Could he be stressing her out subtly?). We did an ultrasound and...

[Request] I'm getting laid off. It's also my birthday. This ***** 🥲 [US]

11h ago

hello frens. i hesitated to make this because i already have a pile of cards that i haven't gotten to post a thanks for yet. but, this month has honestly been tough. i'm preparing to get laid off soon and my birthday is also coming up. what a weird mix of feelings... my job was in the grief/mental health field, so it's been five years of helping other people and sitting with heavy stories, all throughout the pandemic. and tbh, it's really hard to let go and untangle my identity from being a caretaker for others. i'd love to request some birthday cheer to help remind me that joy is still accessible, even during rough periods, and that i'm still worthy of co...

Seeking legal advice on custody modification with ex spouse being military

12h ago

Location: Hummelstown PA, USA I am a 20-year-old mother in Hummelstown, PA, seeking guidance on handling a high-conflict co-parenting situation that has escalated into legal harassment. I share a 15-month-old son (B) with my ex-husband (EX), who is a service member. We currently have a shared custody arrangement, but EX has begun using state agencies and the threat of withholding our son to retaliate against me for setting personal and legal boundaries. The most recent conflict began just a week before Mother's Day when I formally barred EX’s girlfriend from my property following a childcare pickup where she came directly onto my porch setting my gaurd dogs off. I formally asked ...

No one thinks what it's like to be someone else. Things life doesn't have to offer me

12h ago

I had the benefit of narcasisstic alcohol heavy smoking boomer parents who didn't want a kid, & my mother was bribed out of an abortion in 1980. I was isolated, put through public schools in ghettos, & fed junk food until I was 100lbs overweight @ 12 years old. My parents let me drop out of school in the 7th grade, & I made the best of it. I'm ultra educated outside the system but I wasn never socialised. Waking up to that as a teenager, losing the weight, finding my identity, set me on a path out of the herd in the USA. No inheritance. No siblings. Grandparents dead. Aunt's uncles dead. No family business. I've worked dozens of bottom end jobs th...

Vitamin D Supplement for Men: The Missing Health Upgrade Most Men Ignore in 2026

13h ago

Most men focus on protein, workouts, and productivity hacks — but overlook one of the most powerful nutrients for long-term health: Vitamin D. Low energy. Weak immunity. Poor recovery. Mood swings. Reduced testosterone levels. These issues are increasingly linked to one silent problem affecting millions of men in the USA: Vitamin D deficiency. In 2026, health experts are paying closer attention to the growing role of the Vitamin D supplement for men in supporting energy, immunity, muscle strength, mental clarity, and overall wellness. Whether you work indoors, spend long hours in front of screens, or simply want to optimize your health, adding Vitamin D to your routine could be one of th...

Am I the Only One Who Thinks Alma Fonda Fina is Overrated?

13h ago

I'm wondering if anyone else shares my opinion, or am I on a island alone? I have only been once, because for starters I'm not going to refresh a webpage in the middle of the night just to get a reservation, to anything. Once there, we were seated quickly, but the entire restaurant feels cramped. It makes sense given it's size. I thought the food was delicious. My wife felt a bit underwhelmed. BUT, I don't even think I would put it in my top 5 places in Denver, let alone #2 in the USA (which it recently ranked on a list). I suppose if you really like Contemporary Mexican, it's up there because it's a niche category. But if you are looking for a quality night ...

kitten teething/smaller appetite

13h ago

hello everyone (including for rules, i'm 22, USA, vet is accessible, however i only usually have around 200 extra dollars to spend per month so i've only taken him for a standard exam so far) about a week and a half ago i got a kitten that was abandoned by an owner that a friend had found in a box at his job. my guess is kitten is now approximately 2 1/2 to 3 weeks old. he has started teething (his canines are growing in) and he is much pickier with the bottle. he eats much more often than i had originally scheduled him before his teeth started to erupt around 3 days ago, but he only eats around 3-4mL at a time, and would much rather just chew on the nipple than continue eating...

Trip Report for [Six Flags Mexico City]

13h ago

As a UK based coaster fan, I have not had the opportunity to visit any parks outside of my home country, apart from Disney Land Paris, and the Vegas coasters. So a few weeks ago while on a trip to Mexico a chance to visit Six Flags Mexico City came up. The park itself was nice, everything seemed in good condition (I know Six Flags USA parks have a reputation for being in poor condition). It was a mid week day and queues for rides where all under 30 minutes. One thing I noticed in comparison to the UK parks is that everyone seemed very friendly. People would talk to me in ride queues and on rides them self’s, when I was not with my family, staff where friendly, and the whole atmosphere se...

We can’t save every animal, but we’re trying our best. Donations help us continue.

14h ago

Hello everyone, I’ve been deeply passionate about helping dogs and cats in the Philippines for many years. Every single day, countless animals suffer from neglect, abuse, starvation, illness, and abandonment — especially stray animals who have no voice and no one to protect them. In many areas, stray dogs and cats are taken to overcrowded animal pounds where conditions can be heartbreaking. Many are left terrified, hungry, dehydrated, and without proper medical care. While there are compassionate people trying to help, there is still a major lack of animal welfare support, education, and resources. Since 2020 — long before officially registering our Canadian non-profit, Voiceless...

Best Appliance Brands - my research

14h ago

I called around to the appliance repair services with a lot of reviews and asked them what brands they recommended and which ones I should avoid. I also looked up where brands manufacturing at [AllAmerican.org](http://AllAmerican.org)I am sharing what I found here. According to the **Repair Services** No matter what brand you shop - ask the sales person WHERE the model is made. Made in USA is better (usually- see note below) Brands that are made in Korea like LG and Samsung are a problem. They do not honor their warranties and they do not keep replacement parts like they are supposed to in order to sell in the US. Avoid their products unless you are buying something cheap for short te...

30f Rare health condition, navigating surgeons, stigma, and medical costs.

14h ago

Jesus saved me from suicidality. I have a roof over my head and food on the table. I am living in a place I don’t worry much about crime, I have love in my life, God granted me artistic talent and health otherwise. God has provided me so much. This is very much the thorn in my side. Basically, my jaws are messed up due to having diagnosed ehlers-Danlos syndrome. My jaws are recessed, narrow, and I have been diagnosed with conditions called UARS (upper airway resistance syndrome), and another called idiopathic condylar resorption (rare). It cases painful TMJ, limited breathing (my airway is small), not good nasal breathing, I have to eat soft food, my sleep is not restful so I’m constant...

Any tips for things a starter prepper may forget?

14h ago

I’m in the USA and concerned between the looming oil and food shortages crisis, converging with the possibility of another pandemic, so was hoping for some tips to start that beginners may usually overlook. I’m thinking a few months of mainly all of the canned goods we currently have, shelf stable food like pasta, rice, etc. as I’ve read they can last several years, possibly even up to 5 if stored properly which it will be in the cool, dark basement with the dehumidifier. Lots of water. Obviously toiletries which I would’ve never thought about before COVID. I’m thinking about food prepping a bunch of various meals because we have a full size freezer downstairs but I’m also greatl...
