Trying to write a poem to give to my dad on his birthday. Haven’t written poetry for years so any feedback would be appreciated. For context, we’ve had our ups and downs but are in a good place currently and I feel I’ve not focused on the things he got right enough. Ive been in a bind lately as ive been recovering from an extensive battle with a MRSA infection that kept recurring for almost 8 months. I missed a good bit of work while in the hospital recovering and now that im doing better ive been trying to get caught up. 30F USA California, cat is feral and I can’t catch this cat to bring her to a vet but I could request that she be trapped and taken to shelter for treat/fix/release if this is a veterinary emergency. She won’t let me get closer than 10ft and she’s fast. I immediately noticed swelling on both sides of the face/cheeks and around the eyes, also under the chin and between the eyes. Please help, I got this cast iron in december and have been into maintence since I got it. I don't know what I am doing wrong. The pan will look great for a while, seasoned well, decently non stick but after some use it will always revert back to looking rusty. In the 3rd picture is what it looks like "healthy" to my knowledge. The two pictures before it are right after I scrubbed with lemon and salt and then washed with soap (dawn) inorder to get it rid of the rust. While I am drying off it reappears.
