So I was about 7-8 years old when I found this book. It was about birds, like forest birds (Robin, cardinal, blue jay, etc) having a smorgasbord. Yes very specifically that word, I remember it being in the title, but I can’t remember the title perfectly, so that might be wrong. So I struggle with waves of intense craving/bingeing episodes that I find hard to manage, and it’s something I’m working on. But tonight, I saved myself from what could have been a 500-calorie binge and swapped to some pickles, tomatoes, and ham instead. This will both satisfy my cravings and make me full for only 156 calories, compared to 500. For anyone like me who has the same struggles when it comes to food addiction, and goes through setbacks — always remember to focus on small wins, and give yourself grace for being imperfect.
