How to Return an Amazon Item at a Drop-Off Location

Open Your Orders. Go to Your Orders on Amazon.com or in the Amazon app and choose the item you want to return.

Pick a reason. Select why you are returning the item. The reason can affect whether the return is free.

Choose a drop-off location. Pick a location and method. For the easiest option, look for drop-off choices marked as no box or no label needed.

Get your QR code. Amazon shows the QR code in the app and also emails it to you.

Drop off the item. Bring the item and the QR code to the location you chose. Staff scan the code and take care of packing and shipping.

For the 2025 season, most items purchased between November 1 and December 31 could be returned until January 31, 2026, while Apple-branded products had a January 15 deadline. Tips to Avoid Return FeesLook for the "FREE Returns" label under the price of an item to confirm that returns are free before you buy. Not every item is eligible for a no-box, no-label return. Large, heavy or special items may need to be packed or picked up. Amazon may charge a fee for some return methods, for example when a free drop-off location is nearby.
