Probably because my internet was never changed and still doesn't work, they added 2 more phone lines we never discussed 1 for a watch that wasn't free and 1 for a tablet we never discussed at all. Tomorrow is the delivery if all of these things to my home and I tried to cancel all of it. I asked if the line I currently have could be the free line (call it Line 1). The agent said let's see. I don't remember exactly what was said next. A month later I did a restart on my phone and a 2nd phone number appeared. I called xfinity mobile and they said the 2nd number was the free line activated on an eSim (Line 2). Before that, I had no idea I had a 2nd number let alone a new account. My old account was closed,(records deleted? I have the old account number) At the end of March, Line 1 that I've had for over 20 years was disconnected. Af... I had signed up as a "manager" for my Mom's Comcast account at her condo, it was linked to my profile... She was auto-pay to a credit card. I had also signed up as a "manager" for my Dad's Comcast account at his house, it was linked to my profile... he paid his paper bill by check each month. Upon receiving it, I discovered that it has a dead pixel on it. So I thought i offered a replacement watch but the agent charged me again and sent me another watch. Deactivated the first one. I don't have a return label, can't take it to the xfinity store and don't want to get charged. What do i need to do with the Deactivated Watch? My new apartment stipulates we go with another provider than Xfinity, and I provided this reasoning to the agent. They kicked into retention mode, asked if there was anybody who could take over the account to which I said no, and I wished to cancel services. She urged me to return the equipment the next day which was fine -- I was moving the next day and had the equipment together already. At the end of the conversation, she said she put in my cancelation request but provided credit on my account "for my loyalty" in case I ever wanted to come back. I had an XB8 gateway that was overheating and beginning to yellow/discolor from the heat. I contacted Xfinity support through the Xfinity app and explained the issue in detail. During that conversation, I also explained that I have upgraded many of my home devices to Wi-Fi 7 and wanted to replace the XB8 with the XB10 for better compatibility and future-proofing with my current speed tier. When I go to sign up online for internet service, a self install option is referenced, but when I step through the sign up pages, I cannot get past the appointment page for a $100 professional installation. I understand Comcast wanting to make money, but I would think that it would be more important to get people signed up, to start the money flowing to Comcast where there is no incremental cost to having another user, than to insist on grabbing $100 for someone to plug in a box and flip a switch that can surely be done from a central location. Suggest you don't use the Trade-In process through Xfinity4d agoMy suggestion is to not trade-in a mobile phone, thru Xfinity. I suggest you sell the phone outright, instead, as phones shipped this way (with the Xfinity/Assurant return shipping label), tend to get lost for various reasons and you'll end up paying for the phone, in the end. I had some difficulty shipping a trade-in iPhone back to Xfinity and also trouble returning a defective iPhone back to Xfinity. As far as the trade-in, the label wouldn't scan correctly at USPS (United States Postal Service). It kept coming up as "INVALID" when they scanned it. Billing Help Needed4d agoAbout a week ago I cancelled cable and home phone but kept internet. With the credit left over from last month’s bill my current bill should have been around $15 but the new bill popped up and it’s at the old rate of around $350. Need a mod to help set this right. Edited to add info: I cancelled the two services on 4/28 and they stopped working almost immediately. All rental devices were returned to my local Xfinity store the next day. I asked the phone rep multiple times to verify cost changes and credits and she confirmed. The call took almost an hour for a simple adjustment. Please help me help my dad5d agoMy parents have been Comcast customers since 1982, my mom passed away last year and I moved in to help my dad out since he's 78 and has COPD. I'm at my wits end with days of no internet or television. We have been to the local Xfinity store multiple times swapping out the wifi gateway, and now the X1 box for a Arris Xi6 box and still have issues. We get the following rdk errors: 03033, 03004, 03117, 03087 and today a new one xre 03090. 2 of the last 3 technicians state they don't climb trees to fix wires and the 3rd told him he could run his own wires from the outside wire from the backyard to the front of his house. He's a senior citizen on oxygen and you tell him... "Gold" customer completely being ripped off with horrible customer service5d agoI've been an Xfinity internet and Xfinity Mobile customer since June of 2025 when I switched away from my Comcast Business account. I pay for 5 lines of unlimited plus Mobile Care for my line at the cost of $17.00/month for my Apple iPhone 16 Plus 256 GB. I dropped the phone roughly a month ago and broke the screen... I processed a claim with Assurant and was told I had to wait for it to process. They then told me I did not have coverage on that line despite my Xfinity statements showing my $17/mo payment for 12 months prior on that specific line. I then contacted the Xfinity Mobile online chat customer care service who told me I had coverage and needed to talk with Assurant again. ... Xfinity not helping resolve the issue5d agoI have spent hours upon hours on the phone with Xfinity and no one can seem to help me. They put a restriction on my account saying I had 2 payments in a row that did not go thru when that is in fact not true. I contacted support to cancel the payments so I could pay with a different card and the associate cancelled the payments and my other payment form went thru fine. Every single person says they cannot help and that I need to go to an Xfinity store to pay from now on. This was their fault they are classifying these payments correctly. I’ve escalated to supervisors and no one can help me and at this point I would almost just rather cancel for this big hassle. She called Xfinity 9 days ago to get help. My father (with dementia) had been ordering pay-per-view, racking up $70 in charges last month alone - he has no idea what he is doing. So my mother called Xfinity support to disable his ability to order on-demand movies or new services. She spent 4+ hours on the phone over two days and appears to have been signed up for a new mobile phone line that she doesn't want, and in the process of getting "support" she provided her SSN and a bunch of other personal information to the agent. They had a few shows we wanted to watch. I remembered hearing about the Stream Saver bundle with Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV+, and we already had Netflix, so I decided to look into the bundle. I think it turned out that the bundle with Netflix with ads was about the same price (or maybe cheaper, I don't remember) than my Netflix plan without ads, so we decided to get the bundle so we could have both Netflix and Apple TV+. Xfinity Mobile number Transfer7d agoHello Everyone, Just wanted to send out a message regarding transferring your Xfinity mobile number from a iPhone SE gen2 or gen3, to iPhone 16e or 17e. The issue i was having is once i transferred my date from my iPhone SE gen2 to an iPhone 16e, the phone number transfer cannot be completed. I have done this multiple times with unlocked phones i have bought off Amazon in the past, With no issues. I had gone to the Xfinity store for help and they gave me a phone number for tech support, they tried on their end to get the phone number to transfer. I was on the phone for almost 2 hours, which is fine glitches happen. They were super nice and understanding, no complaints about that. But now... Need help with returning old gateway after move7d agoHelp - I tried chatting with Xfinity assistant, but ended up going in circles. I did a move online via the Xfinity app on Monday April 27th for a May 1st move (I have internet service only with Xfinity). The app told me I would need a new gateway, and that I would have to return the old gateway. The new gateway was delivered April 27th. Fortunately, I was able to go to the new place and retrieve the package (I don't know why it was delivered before my May 1st move date). There was no prepaid shipping label for the old gateway in the package with the new gateway. On Friday May 1st, I unplugged the old gateway at the old place, and plugged in the new gateway at the new place, and succe... How to Decide What to Get7d agoI previously had gen 1 airpods, but they recently decided to no longer work. I had already been looking at other earbuds, but it's so hard to find anything. My ears are shaped weird, so the way that ear buds fit plays a HUGE part in deciding what to go with, but I cam't fond anywhere to try them on. I've check the xfinity store, but they don't even carry Galaxy Buds. I checked my local best buy, but all buds are kept in glass cases. I only know 2 people who use wireless ear buds, and neither are what I'm looking for. How can I buy a pair if I can't test them out? This is a big financial decision Any advice?
