Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Starbucks Latest Community Discussions About StarbucksDid I screw myself by being promoted?6h agoHi there, I am a new shift lead at Starbucks (370-) that recently got promoted and just finished my training. Today was my first “official” shift alone, I am a closer typically. I was given VERY chaotic, patchy, and questionable training where every shift/ manager had a different answer on how they do things. I’m not new to management and have actually managed similarly designed and operated coffee shops before; but Starbucks is 100% its own kind of horrible beast (especially with the new CEO, I got hired at the very start of his employment). I am very adaptable, highly efficient in problem solving/ critical thinking, and I’d like to think I have a few more qualities that make me a g... Why does the "Coffee Run" tune seem familiar?7h agoWhy does the frothy (*sorrrry)* "Coffee Run" tune (new Starbucks commercial airing with Olympics in USA) seem familiar? Is it similar to a 1960s/'70s movie tune? Can't put my finger on it. Thanks. 'Olympics: The Coffee Run' Song by London Music Works [https://www.ispot.tv/ad/gODE/starbucks-olympics-the-coffee-run-song-by-london-music-works](https://www.ispot.tv/ad/gODE/starbucks-olympics-the-coffee-run-song-by-london-music-works) How I tricked a QNet scammer into thinking she was manipulating me7h agoThis is going to be a long and very interesting story, so sit back and grab some popcorns. I'll divide the story into 5 chapters: 1. How I met the scammer. 2. How we hungout. 3. When she introduced me to her "senior" 4. How she tried to keep in touch with me. 5. When she stopped talking to me. 1.HOW I MET THE SCAMMER: Two years ago I was at a Starbucks, and I was having hot coffee. To my right were three women. One was dresses very well and talking about opportunities and all, and the other two were listening to her. I knew right away she was one of those pyramid scammers. I chose to ignore them. But as I was having my coffee I thought, these guys are really good at mani... Town (Allos 2)8h agoThis is an account of what I remember before I found it, but I'll go over that in my next entry. “...Alice? Alice. ALICE!” I snapped awake. “I need my coffee, Alice! You know this!” I looked up. I wished Mrs Vanderbilt could see I didn’t have the energy to deal with her, but just as usual, she didn’t have the social awareness to understand how normal people act at 6:30 in the morning. I yawned and made her coffee. Oh, how I wished to give her black coffee instead of her frappuccino, so I could see her face feel more uncomfortable than I am. However, taking a hint wasn’t the old hag’s strong suit, as she expected everyone in a Starbucks before the sun was even up to... Had to say Goodbye way too soon10h agoJust 11 days after getting my first Subaru, a drunk driver in a pick up had other plans. He demolished an entire row of grocery carts and then my bumper. It was great having this car even if it was tragically brief. RIP Azula Some Starbucks coffee cups10h agoAMA: I was a Starbucks barista for 3+ years10h agoI worked as a Starbucks barista for over three years, and in that time I’ve seen far more than just coffee being made. I experienced the full reality of the job: nonstop peak rushes, understaffed shifts, broken machines during the worst possible moments, and an endless stream of mobile orders that never seem to stop printing. I’ve opened stores before sunrise, closed late at night, and lived through holiday chaos that felt more like survival mode than customer service. I’ve made thousands upon thousands of drinks, including TikTok trends, “secret menu” orders that don’t actually exist, and customizations so long they barely fit on the cup. I’ve dealt with amazing customers, en... Are all the sane, single women in hiding or is this an awful social experiment?11h agoAs a 25 Man I need answers. Every cute, moderately sane woman I meet between 20–25 is either: 1. Already spoken for 2. “It’s complicated” 3. Emotionally unavailable 4. Or makes me understand why she’s single within 7 minutes Is there a secret underground bunker in Baner / Viman where the normal, single ones are being preserved for future generations? For context: – I shower daily (controversial, I know) – Financially stable – Not into crypto or making starbucks coffee reels – Can hold a conversation without sending “wyd” at 2am – Will debate if TOIT is better than OI & vice-versa At this point I’m convinced there’s a waitlist or paid-premi... Starting to get on my nerves11h agoso this keeps happening every time I go to Starbucks to get coffee. I wait in line like everyone else. I'm here to buy my beans for home brewing. everyone gets their drinks in the order of the line like normal. when it's my turn I pay for the beans and have them grind it for me. yes I also tip. they put my beans by the grinder and if there is anyone behind me in line they help them all first before grinding my beans so I can leave. they are paying around $5 and they get helped first. I'm spending around $30 and I am helped out of the order I waited like everyone else. I'm spending more and tipping. why am I not getting proper service when paying more than everyone... Whoever named these new drinks recently must **** baristas12h ago"Strawberry shortcake frappuccino"? Ah, so one would assume it must have frap base / coffee in it because it's not a "Creme" frap. But that's WRONG! Creme base. "Cannon ball drink"? Ah, so like the "Pink Drink" and "Dragon Drink", one would assume it must have coconut milk. WRONG! Lemonade. Don't even get me started on trying to differentiate "iced dubai chocolate mocha" and "iced dubai chocolate matcha" on the speaker. AITAH for this valentines day incident?12h agoFor Valentine’s Day, I wanted to do something nice for my girlfriend and get her sushi since I know she loves it. I asked her the day before what restaurant she wanted, but she didn’t specify a particular one. I suggested a few options, but she didn’t respond. On the actual day, I asked again if there was a specific restaurant she had in mind, and she told me she wanted "all you can eat" sushi. I asked if she had a specific location in mind (we are in a major city so lots of options), but it turned out she had a specific one in mind all along.. she just hadn’t told me the name beforehand. I’d already looked at several places, but didn’t know the exact one she wanted. S... Relationship Changed After Moving In.. Is This Fixable? (26m 27f)12h agoMy girlfriend keeps says I don't do anything special for her, she gave me examples of how she bought a \~$500 dyson hair product and \~$500 coat and how I wouldn't have gotten her something like that. At the time I did slightly joke with her that her coat was overpriced (I got my own coat for a little over $100). She is in a good career and does make more money than I do currently and she said even her work does more for her than I do (they are comping some travels for her recently for example). We've been together for a few years, I lived in her country for a few months and we travelled to other countries a few times for multi-month times. Only within the past 7 months or so... The airport is right across the way... I'll just walk there... 10 minute drive, or?12h agoWith traffic in that area, TBF, 10 minutes drive isn't really happening either. ⚠️ Public Awareness: QNet SCAMMERS Recruiting in Malls & Cafés ⚠️13h agoI want to alert people about aggressive recruiting happening across the Hyderabad under the name of “business opportunity” and “business expansion” by networks linked to QNet . Now they are not just calling friends — they are actively recruiting in metro malls and popular cafés like Starbucks and Cafe Coffee Day (CCD). Here’s what I’ve observed: They sit in visible spots and talk loudly about “financial freedom”, “foreign trips”, “crores income”. They discuss “hustle lifestyle” so others around can overhear. Curious people approach them to ask what they’re doing. That’s when the pitch starts. Common pattern: They avoid directly saying it’s QNet in... [Question] Is my resume good enough for fast food/coffee shop jobs? 22M, first real job search13h agoHi everyone! I'm 22 and currently looking for work in fast food and coffee shops (McDonald's, Burger King, Starbucks, etc.) in my area. I created a resume and already dropped it off at several places, but I want to make sure it's actually good before I keep going. I'd really appreciate any feedback or suggestions. **My situation:** - I worked for about a month at an ice cream shop (customer service, food prep, teamwork) - High school in progress (finishing this year, online program) - Advanced English (fluent conversation, reading, writing) - Full availability for any shifts - Took some basic computer courses (Word, Excel, Office) **My questions:** 1. Does the resume l... Partner passive aggressiveness-I just got hired?!15h agoBeen on this subreddit for a couple years as a custie, fresh barista hire! Ever since I started, alls been smooth-my partners are great, feel like I’ve been trained well, and enjoying the work so far. Except this certain partner (A). From day ONE, complete attitude out of nowhere and I had no idea why! Totally ignoring me when asking for help, only choosing to nitpick my mistakes when she sees a shift near us, going out of her way to socialize with other partners and leaving me out, and pushing past me several times with plenty of space to move without touching me, etc etc. I get it, you’re not friends with everyone you work with. But at the very least you’re CORDIAL and polite. I t... Stl younger tech crowd + coffee15h agoHey guys, I spend a lot of time working at coffee shops. I really enjoy the atmosphere of a little background noise, potential to cross paths with random people & just vibe. (Week nights open late would be amazing, but stl doesn’t really accommodate for this type of environment to just chill at a coffee shop/similar late at night. Not particularly interested in working on my laptop at a bar— so i often resort to bread co) Specifically while there i work on my laptop. I’m curious which coffee shop(s) in St. Louis are the most tuned for social + work + open week nights ideally to like 9 pm or later -Upshot the one in st Charles is pretty fun but sometimes is cold at times an... Tall rant15h ago1. The fact we actually can't stock pastries out temporarily, esp with using in stock but not ready option is beyond unhelpful. I understand that we are graded on our food stock and that pulling any extras we need early in the morning is optimal. But what's the point of a button if we can't use it?? 2. Customers need to actually specify what size of the drink they want and if it's hot or cold, because I shouldn't have to ask 20 questions every single time. 3. Starbucks, if you want us to not double cup Americanos, teas, and hot coffees, MAKE BETTER INSULATED CUPS THAT CAN WITHSTAND LIQUID WITHOUT FOLDING. McDonald's has superior hot drink cups. There's n... Does anyone remember the Monterey restaurant?15h agoIt was abandoned as long as I can remember and then got torn down and built on 10 or so years ago. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it or has some proper photos of it or inside or.
