I recently purchased a Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine by Breville for the sole purpose of making Mocha Lattes. I’m in the process of dertermining which OL pods might work best for this purpose. I’m used to getting “short” mocha lattes from Starbucks with 1/2 the chocolate syrup typically added. So, small volume of coffee (1 shot) with a bit of milk and a bit of chocolate for additional flavor. To me, the espresso flavor (not over powering) with the light sweetness of the chocolate in a creamy frothed milk is perfect. I’m thinking the espresso size from the pod with 4-5 oz frothed milk and 1-2 tsp dutch processed cocoa powder might be great using my Nespresso machine. ...

It is absent in other speciality coffees like blue tokai, grey soul, Dewans etc. As they have sort of matt finish. Is that synthetic oil coating on starbucks beans? For longer shelf life ! Or is it the inherent oil from the beans due to roasting process? Also it grinds very very smoothly in my c3s compared to other brand beans.

I have the most lovely Starbucks. The entire crew is so so wonderful and welcoming. It truly feels like my local small coffee shop (instead of the corp chain it really is). I’ve already left feedback on the Starbucks website but wondering if there is anything else I can do to praise the store, aside from tipping every time I’m there.

I'm trying to figure out my schedule and ideally I'd like to run out the door with coffee made the night before via French Press. I have some nice bottles (airtight) so... make the french press coffee at night / pour into the bottle / place in fridge / add some milk in the morning and head out. I know this isn't ideal and I love coffee / flavor / caffeine... I'm quitting Starbucks (two weeks now) and I have a really tough morning routine for my dogs PT recovery / workout and work... but does this system work or would the flavor really decline? I'm assuming the caffeine is fine...

had the entire backend running smooth in like 3 days. auth worked, database queries were clean, api endpoints all set up. felt like a genius then i opened the app on my phone and it looked like something from 2009. buttons were misaligned, colors made no sense, spacing was all over the place. showed it to a friend and they literally laughed tried figma tutorials but that stuff has a learning curve steeper than learning to code. spent more time watching youtube videos about design systems than actually building. considered hiring someone but didnt want to drop $500+ for mockups when i wasnt even sure about the idea yet ended up just describing what i wanted in plain english to an ai design...

Sailing on Star, mid May, Sunset Junior Suite. Myself, young adult daughter and her toddler. Daughter drinks alcohol and will probably have a few drinks each day (or more). I buy beans from starbies and ask them to grind them for a pour over - first time it was way too fine , almost powdery, so the next time I asked for a little coarser than you would grind for drip coffee. It is still too fine. Gonna try one more time bc I like this specific blend but what should I ask for? Is there a number on the machine w/ the grind setting I’m looking for? Thanks!
