Sunday is race day and I'm surely not going for a PB but for a decent time. I have many shoes to choose from so my question is which kind of shoe (firm? soft? light? stable? rocker? carbon?) is the best to protect hamstrings as good as possible? I don't want to have medical advice just like to hear your thoughts. Edit: It's a 10k race Some possible Options: Puma DNE3, Adidas AP3, Takumi Sen 11, Adios 9, Evo SL, Hoka Cielo X1, Dynafish Xiaonian, Li Ning Feidian 5 Challenger Good shoe to pair with Saucony Tempus 1 that's not a stability shoe1h agoProfile: 5'5"/165cm, \~132/60kg, Midfoot striker Current Shoe: Saucony Tempus 1, US 7.5M - about 280 km on them Times: 1hr - 10km race Feel considerations: I don't think I care too much about a shoe being too squishy and I'd like a really breathable upper cause I got hot feet and live in a pretty humid climate. Hey y'all! I'm currently looking for some recommendations on a new shoe to pair with my Saucony Tempus V1. Originally I purchased the Saucony Tempus 1 a couple years back as I first got into running. Last year I finally signed up for a 10km after moving to Japan and it was a fun time training for it (though not with the Japanese summer humidity). I... New Cobra OPTM X and Puma Elevates 2 Tour. Grateful for a lucky break from customer service!2h agoI had a pair of Puma golf shoes fail on me recently that were out of warranty. When I first reached out to Puma, they initially offered nothing. I stayed persistent with them, though, and after explaining the situation again, they ended up taking care of me with a 35% site-wide code. At the time I didn't realize that meant Cobra too! Used it to grab the new Cobra OPTM X and a pair of Ignite Elevate 2 Tours. It’s easy to just take the first 'no,' but I’m glad I gave it another shot. Definitely worth a try if you're ever in a similar spot! First time owning a Cobra club! Asics Megablast Sizing6h agoHi im planning to buy Megablast for my next shoe and im kinda worried about the sizing (mag papasabuy lang kasi from a relative overseas) \- Normally I do wear size US10 shoes \- I wear size 10 Adidas boston 12 \- I wear size 10.5 Puma Velocity Nitro 4 (for some reason narrow siya towards the end and im glad nag size up ako dito) Should i stick with size 10? Wide feet football boots (My experience)13h agoTLDR: Phantom 6 Elite fit great for my wide feet, 2nd place would be the Ultra 6 Elite I’ve tried on probably 20+ pairs of different football boots (not counting sizes) and here is my verdict. All shoes were in the highest quality (Elite or whatever) with AG studs (or MG if they didn’t have AG and MG version was basically typical AG) My feet are not only long but also quite wide with a high volume, which has always made finding football boots difficult. I thought I might be able to help others who are in the same situation. My feet are around 29.5 cm, and I typically wear between EU sizes 46 and 47.5 since it varies quite a bit depending on the brand. Keep the Vaporfly...? Need your advice!14h agoHey gang, I little about me: I'm new to running. I just picked up the Vaporfly 4 to avoid decision fatigue (so many shoes on the market). I just timed my mile yesterday at 7:15 which felt like 75-85 percent max effort. I think I can easily go sub 6 min. Im 150 pounds 6'1 tall. I like running on my toes and getting high off the ground, this seems to be the style I gravitate to. I wanted to ask you guys if I should keep the Vaporfly 4 or get another shoe. Not sure if this is just another case of greener grass but wanted to see your guys thoughts given my stats. I am not really looking to race marathons, but mostly want to run to get a good cardio sesh in and enjoy the feeling o... How much to break in Puma DNE314h agoI plan on running my first ever half marathon race in late September and managed to get the puma deviate nitro elite 3 for a really good deal (£109). How much should I break im the shoe before the race if I've never ran in carbon plated shoes. For context I'm aiming for a sub2 hour time, 5'7 and 67kg. They were my first proper running shoes, before that I was using generic Nike Revolution. I originally got the Mizunos after going to a running shop because I had some knee pain. They put me on a treadmill, looked at my gait, and recommended a stability shoe. I’ve really liked the Inspire: comfortable for longer runs and not overly soft. I’m now looking for a replacement but not sure if I still need stability shoes. One thing I do know is that I don’t enjoy very soft shoes, I tried Puma Velocity Nitro 2 and they felt too squishy for running (though ... i wanna buy basketball shoes ...1d agoas the title says i wanna buy basketball shoes and am stuggeling to find good pairs online, for context i am 6'1 and around 90 kgs. i have currently wore a pair of all pro nitro media day and am willing to find more as i wanna add to my rotation. is there good stores near delhi where i can find range. my prefered brands are nike , puma , addidas Puma deviate nitro 4 vs li Ning feidian 5 elite for tempo/threshold runs1d agoOther shoes in my rotation are SB3, rebel v5, and SC Elite V5. I recently bought a pair of HOKA Speedgoat 6 after seeing many recommendations, but I’m not sure if they are right for me. When I first put the shoes on, felt slightly tight, especially in the forefoot. I think I might have wider feet. After walking around a bit, it feels okay. Another thing I noticed is that the sole has a kind of curved shape,I’ve never worn before. The store staff told me this is normal for trail running shoes, but I’m still a bit concerned. Now I’m debating, should I keep them and try to break them in,or return them, since they’re quite expensive? I also have a pair of Decathlon MH100 hiking ... Puma Cilia1d agoHey Guys, These are PUMA Cilia, I got these from Amazon on sale. I checked for their authenticity on POIZON; they passed the test. But the QR code stuck on the shoes are not scannable; so I am not 100 percent with them. Moreover, what do you think about these? Do they look nice?
