I threw up on the pavement, unable to control the dry heaves that followed. Sean turned around and covered his eyes. He tried to speak to me, but his words felt far away. The trees around us were hazy, spots drifting over them as I tried to keep myself upright. Tears dripped down my cheeks, and I sat back against the wall of the building, fingers scraping over the pavement beneath me. Finally, I heard Sean’s voice. “It’ll all be okay. We’ll figure it out. There must be a way to stop this.” I looked up at him, wiping the sweat from my brow. “Sean, I don’t know if we can keep doing this. It is only my second time dealing... Thunder in 78h agoSGA is going to handpick the refs in the next games, they will be wearing his shoes during the game. After the game he’s going to dap up the refs and take them out to a Michelin star restaurant, the tab on him naturally. The Spurs mistake in this series is not buttering up the refs like OKC does, that will be the difference Am I overreacting because my son and DIL treated me like an ***** that can't be trusted?8h agoI've been walking around with this for almost a year and it still just hurts. Everyone I have discussed this with has told me that I am absolutely NOT the AH. But I would like the objective opinion of others not involved/who don't know us. Backstory...Almost 5 years ago, my son (35M), we will call him R and his wife (35F), we will call her P, had a son. The have been together over 10 years and married for 4 years when their son (4M) we will call him T, was born. He is my first and only grandchild. My son, R and I have always been close. Should I trust this8h agoPublic Audit — MAGX (yourmagx)8h ago# Public Audit — MAGX (yourmagx) # Quick Snapshot MAGX is a new Shopify store selling portable ergonomic gear for laptop users. The catalog has two products: * a slim magnetic laptop stand called MAGX-STAND (sale $34.99, regular $49.99) * a foldable wireless keyboard and mouse set called MAGX-Keyboard + Mouse (sale $99.99, regular $111.10). Both are positioned around portability ("Foldable. Wireless. Ready Anywhere.") and ergonomic relief ("Bad posture hurts performance"). The implied customer is a laptop-first remote worker who wants a clean, portable setup that doesn't strain their neck. The hero promises, "Light enough to travel. Strong enough to tr... Skin went from oily to dried out8h agoI'm not diagnosed but had a negative ANA from my derm. Apparently with ANA Reflex 9 panel, they don't test the autoantibodies unless Pos? So, trying to get PCP to do that at my next physical. One question I had for you all: did anyone notice severe dryness to the point your skin on the face completely stopped producing oils/sebum? Hands and body skin are also dry. Not dry in the sense that it's flaking but more so dry in the sense I apply moisturizer and it disappears. I've always had oily skin so this is like a shock to the system for me, also can't wear makeup or it peels off. Does anyone have something similar or could this be something else (it's not nutriti... Looking for another LV recommendation.8h agoMy LV collection so far. Looking for something a little more rich and less fresh but gonnose blind every time I go into an LV retail store. Ive gotten a couple decants but cant seem to nail down my next pick. Ombre Nomade was a little to much for me (received the most compliments). I would like something in that range but just not as aggressive as Ombre Nomade. The myth of the dragon king.8h agohttps://preview.redd.it/wfw3bqhz9s2h1.png?width=958&format=png&auto=webp&s=edbc736aa5b510ece73ab0349c03dcd3fa06d6e8 Elon Musk’s fortune is so large that ordinary language starts to fail. A person worth hundreds of billions of dollars does not feel like a normal economic actor. He feels mythological. The public instinctively reaches for heroic explanations: genius, vision, courage, willpower, destiny. The man must be different in kind, not merely different in degree. But when we test the question statistically, a more unsettling possibility appears: Musk may not be a “dragon king” at all. He may not be an impossible outlier that breaks the billionaire distrib... The Outsider who can't escape8h agoI have to get out of here. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of living. Life used to be nice. I had a great childhood. I could go into detail, but things were great back then. I remember simple things like waking up on Saturday mornings and watching cartoons. I was never stressed or worried. I wasn't socially anxious, overthinking everything. I was positive and confident. I don't know if it's just that I'm 23 and not 10 anymore, but I realized slowly that things started to change. Pre-middle school, I was an introverted guy. The thing is, I had no sort of anxiety. I wasn't nervous to talk to people; I just often preferred not to. I wasn't even nervous for cl... Happy fursuit Friday! I finally finished the neck for my dinomask!8h agoI've been working on this off and on for a couple months and I'm so happy with how it turned out! I'm especially proud of my hidden zipper in the back. I don't like there's a bit of a weird lump in the back because I wear my hair in a ponytail, but I guess that can't be helped. My fursona is a Rainwing from Wings of Fire, so I'm planning on adding ears and a ruff next, which will hopefully make it look less bald from the side. I used 2 different patterns (last two slides) and I think it actually worked pretty well, especially considering that I used fleece instead of fur like the patterns intended. [Where Witches Went] Book 1, Chapter 2: Of Our Own Making...8h agoThe archdemon’s sarcophagus had blazed through the void for centuries, outliving the cosmic devastation that obliterated humanity’s birthplace. Babbalabab, Greater Prince of ****, was fated to leave his sarcophagus only when the last drop of his innumerable demonspawn’s blood petered out; as destructive an event as it was, the gamma ray burst which destroyed Sol system did very little to the extradimensional location once known as ****. Widespread teleportation facilities, however, had a significant impact on ancient demonic curses. The philosophical question of whether or not someone was killed and replaced with a copy when disassembled and reassembled via teleported had various answ... Who do you think will wear the C next season?8h agoWill it be a bunch of alternate captains again? Will it be Toffoli? Or maybe even Mack? Jose Gourmet trout with fennel and dill8h agoThis isn’t even my image guys. I was recovering from vertigo (the fall down illness) this morning, but felt well enough to eat something; fortunately half my cans are stored on the floor of my pantry so didn’t require reaching or even standing up to grab one. Trout was something that wouldn’t require me to sterilize everything before my nose-sensitive husband returned, but ugh, it was all smoked, purchased before I realized I’m not much of a fan of smoked fish. Beggars can’t be choosers so I pulled myself up from the floor and opened the can that sounded most neutral. No way I was looking for my phone; you’ll have to imagine for yourself how beautiful it was, a shade at the perf...
