I’m not too sure how Nando’s tastes outside of these two countries, however there’s a significant difference in the amount of saucy/ basting that the UK has in their chicken. Nando’s SA has a creamy sauce, and then you add table sauces, whereas Nando’s UK seems to be a dry chicken, where you’re expected to just add table sauces to your liking. Does anyone know why there’s such a significant difference in the recipe?

I feel like every corner of Harare either has a simbisa brands outlet ( chicken inn, steers , pizza inn, nandos) or KFC. Hungry Lion is also expanding in Zim. Is the demand for fast food really that or is it profitable business model? Maybe we should start investing in fast food franchises?

Went full Extra Hot on the butterfly chicken. No backup, no frozen yoghurt on standby, just pure bravado. First few bites? Glorious, proper flavour punch. Then the burn kicked in. Mouth on fire, nose running, sweating like I’d run a marathon. Had to chug water, stare at the ceiling, and question every life choice. It hurt so good though. The kind of pain that makes you respect the chilli and swear you’ll do it again.... next time with a side of courage.

No sauce, I like putting my own on, Nandos hot spicy mayo, it's the goat, this fills me up, can just about eat it, dont need no chips or garlic bread! loads of chicken, i'd like a bit more tommys and less red cabbage, also get a big soft tortilla and got 3 chillis they are salty then you get a kick of heat, 4/5

I’m not even trying to sound tough or anything, I’ve just heard everyone saying that it’s really spicy but to me it has the same mildness as say a mild peri-peri nandos chicken.

Found a great option for only 400 calories plus 30 grams of protein!!! The chicken sausages can be substituted for any form of protein & you can add/remove whatever salads/sauces you like. I just used what I had in the fridge & it turned out amazing!!! Filling & Delicious! Thought I would share here

Upon my most recent visit to Lahore I encountered a wide variety of food within the city. I was told that Lahore is the place to go if you want good food so I made it my aim to try as much as possible. I’m going to go through the experience I had and compare it to the quality of food I’ve experienced in my home country and elsewhere. We have out of town family in and my parents (who live in the suburbs) are showing them around downtown and suggesting we go to Nando’s for dinner. I always prefer to go to a local / non-chain restaurants but I don’t really eat in the loop much. So I’m looking for recommendations for other casual chicken spots in downtown or nearby neighborhoods.

Any suggestions for high protein restaurants / fast food places that’s not Nando’s (only chicken) or Brazilian steakhouses (they serve the worst cuts of meat first, so not high protein). I posted this to AussieFrugal (altered a little for this post) for those who hadn’t thought of big cook ups and freezing, or thought that it might be too difficult… It’s meals I like which wouldn’t suit everyone (but gives you an idea) and there are cheaper recipes but this has been working well for me and I’m glad I started doing it.  Being on my own it would be very easy for me to have baked beans on toast every night 😳 So I’ve done a big cook up of five or so meal types every month or two for a few years and freeze portions in freezer bags.
