Food was so mid I had to check every piece of bone to make sure it was mid. (/j, I was fully chowing down on their mango lime chicken ****** and spiced rice before I could even take a photo. Was absolutely delicious. Friendly service. I originally wanted to takeout but the smell of the chicken on the fire grill was making my tummy gurgle. Sat down and absolutely destroyed this in minutes.)

I ordered chicken from Nando's and someone stuffed cold scrambled eggs through an opening at the top of the bag. At the top of the bag, there was a sticker in the middle to seal it and staples on the left and right, but someone pushed the yellow pieces through an opening between the seals. I sent photos to the restaurant manager who said the yellow pieces were not from the restaurant. I reported it to the DoorDash safety team and received a refund.

I can promise you, it's totally normal to be nervous or anxious about the prep, the procedure, the results, etc, but it's an absolute cakewalk compared to what you are actually imagining. This is the second time trying to write this post as i accidentally closed reddit the first time so this won’t be anywhere near as detailed unfortunately as im not typing it all out again. Take it from me, someone with severe ADHD, a crazy imaginative brain, and bad health anxiety after a few major surgeries and complications in the past. I wanted to make a post here after seeing how helpful the other ones were for me. I couldn't find any one single post that covered everything in detail...

Today, the students I work with were due to go on an end-of-term trip to Nando's. I told them that Nando's had run out of chicken. One accepted it, saying they'd just get halloumi. One clocked on but then perpetuated my lie for me. The others all believed it!

Bone-in chicken thighs marinated in Portuguese chicken seasoning and Nando's sauce, browned and then cooked in the same pan as the rice and veggies. Also had a chorizo that needed using up, so I threw that in the rice too.

ordered some peri chicken and got 20 sauces on the side lmao, made my day man. I didn’t even req any sauce😂

I’m seriously on a roll with Nagi’s recipes. This was so easy and delicious. I only marinated it for 4 hours because I got off work early, next time I would probably do it overnight. And hot **** 3 Birds Eye chilies was a lot to handle. Especially with the necessary peri peri mayo and extra peri peri sauce. I was sweating but in a deliciously good way. I used chicken cutlet breasts so I didn’t have to bother with the pounding. They were a little thinner than expected but I easily smashed two burgers and I never do that. Like ever!! 11/10 and will make again. Tomorrow I’m making her Birria tacos and will report back.

Followed it to the letter, and pre-rinsed the rice. The recipe was great and my kids smashed it. BUT, the rice seemed a little overcooked and sludgy, but grainy at the same time? It’s super hard to describe. I’m really not sure where I’ve gone wrong - I want to make it again, but not sure how to “tweak” it to get to the Nandos consistency.

Ive been wanting to have a good grilled/rotisserie chicken meal, akin to the type that Nandos sells, or even the Taiwanese kind, where they put the entire chicken onto a hook-like contraption with a bowl at the bottom, into a charcoal roaster, and it comes out all juicy and you tear it apart with your hands. Is there any place in SG that sells this?

Am I the only muslim asian who’s sad in Jeddah mainly because of food? Other than fried chicken from fast food and Nando’s, the choices of food here is really huhu and that’s just for chicken only. Everything else is oily food most of the time :((((( I can’t find proper asian food here. :( even the usual taste of a staple thai food that you find when travelling doesn’t exist here :(
