Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Nandos Latest Community Discussions About NandosNando’s UK vs South Africa2d agoI’m not too sure how Nando’s tastes outside of these two countries, however there’s a significant difference in the amount of saucy/ basting that the UK has in their chicken. Nando’s SA has a creamy sauce, and then you add table sauces, whereas Nando’s UK seems to be a dry chicken, where you’re expected to just add table sauces to your liking. Does anyone know why there’s such a significant difference in the recipe? Why are there so many fast food outlets?7d agoI feel like every corner of Harare either has a simbisa brands outlet ( chicken inn, steers , pizza inn, nandos) or KFC. Hungry Lion is also expanding in Zim. Is the demand for fast food really that or is it profitable business model? Maybe we should start investing in fast food franchises? Profundovenator, Pt. 17d ago((CW: injury, death, mutilation, animal death, child death, non-epithet racism)) ***Mimringr…my aqueous eye…show me terror in the heart of a decent man…*** Profundovenator, Part One I thought about it, many times in fact: digging up the old case files from the archives in the redeye hours when nothing goes on and all I might be doing is staring at my desk succulent, sipping Folgers, or listening to the quiet blips and hums of office equipment in between writeups. During such quiet moments, I’d think of publishing the case somewhere for people cleverer than me to make of what they will. It was a fantasy for a lot of my career…but I never did. I even got brave enough to go into th... Aldi Trolley War - Lynx Africa and Nando's Hot Sauce Weaponised7d agoOrange descended into chaos yesterday after a trolley shortage turned Peisley St’s Aldi carpark into a ****** battlefield for all ages. Witnesses say it all kicked off when two junkies in ripped Oodies lunged for the last available trolley. “They were scrapping like hobos over ciggie butts. One of them kept howling like a dingo,” said Jo, still clutching a half-frozen chook she was forced to use as a riot shield. “Next thing you know, the whole ******* carpark was an all-in brawl. Grown men beating emo teens with sourdough. A posse of pensioners shanking people with sharpened carrots. Workers pelting customers with coin tokens.” She frowns, taking a large gulp from a can of Mon... I tried the hottest Nando’s sauce for the first time. My regrets are delicious.8d agoWent full Extra Hot on the butterfly chicken. No backup, no frozen yoghurt on standby, just pure bravado. First few bites? Glorious, proper flavour punch. Then the burn kicked in. Mouth on fire, nose running, sweating like I’d run a marathon. Had to chug water, stare at the ceiling, and question every life choice. It hurt so good though. The kind of pain that makes you respect the chilli and swear you’ll do it again.... next time with a side of courage. The experience of Food in Lahore - outsider.16d agoUpon my most recent visit to Lahore I encountered a wide variety of food within the city. I was told that Lahore is the place to go if you want good food so I made it my aim to try as much as possible. I’m going to go through the experience I had and compare it to the quality of food I’ve experienced in my home country and elsewhere. This is not meant to belittle anyone; it is a measure of food quality and taste. 1. Nandos - somewhere in DHA3 Ordered a butterfly chicken; prices are half compared to other parts of the world. Staff are super attentive and friendly. The chicken…not so good. Very stringy with excess skin attached. Sauces are completely different and lack any taste. R... Is there anywhere like Nando's around here?18d agoI've got a craving for Peri Peri grilled chicken and I can't find it around here. Any suggestions? Grilled chicken spots in downtown?20d agoWe have out of town family in and my parents (who live in the suburbs) are showing them around downtown and suggesting we go to Nando’s for dinner. I always prefer to go to a local / non-chain restaurants but I don’t really eat in the loop much. So I’m looking for recommendations for other casual chicken spots in downtown or nearby neighborhoods. my nigerian girl at uni keeps calling me "mumu" and says i won't survive lagos food...23d agoi’m a 21 year old guy from london and i’m planning a trip to lagos and Abuja soon. i was telling my nigerian classmate girl in my uni class about it and she just started laughing. she told me straight up that my "oyinbo" stomach will collapse within 24 hours. she kept listing foods i need to fear like ayamase, kilishi, efo riro and amala. she said the pepper in the ayamase alone will reset my factory settings. i told her i can handle spice because i eat nando’s extra hot and she looked at me with pity. she said i’ll be fighting shaki and roundabout in the soup and if i ask for boneless chicken i should just go back to the uk. she’s been teaching me slang to "p... nandos vn23d agopoor service, food needs mad seasonings and nothing great tbh. 6/10😒 the spicy strip and rice dish i ordered was really mid. was loaded with half baked vegetables especially zucchini that i do not like my friend ordered mushroom burger and liked it a lot but chicken wasnt good, even the whole restaurant lowk smelled of raw chicken Places with great high protein food23d agoAny suggestions for high protein restaurants / fast food places that’s not Nando’s (only chicken) or Brazilian steakhouses (they serve the worst cuts of meat first, so not high protein). Ideally central London! Any hidden gems would be amazing eg places that do ribs or flavourful beef dishes etc. Many thanks. Big fan of meal prepping - I have variety, good nutrition and yummy cheap meals24d agoHi everyone. I posted this to AussieFrugal (altered a little for this post) for those who hadn’t thought of big cook ups and freezing, or thought that it might be too difficult… It’s meals I like which wouldn’t suit everyone (but gives you an idea) and there are cheaper recipes but this has been working well for me and I’m glad I started doing it. Being on my own it would be very easy for me to have baked beans on toast every night 😳 So I’ve done a big cook up of five or so meal types every month or two for a few years and freeze portions in freezer bags. Generally around 150g protein and 150-250g fresh steamed veg (cooked nightly), occasionally salad. * I’m lower ca...
