In my local area. i am seeing so many green cooks applying for jobs or asking for jobs and claiming they are experienced cooks but when you look at their resume. they've only been working for 12-18 months. I don't consider anyone with 18 months as experienced. I still consider them as green and new. My wife loves Nando’s half chicken and I want to replicate it at home (knowing that it won’t have that same taste as I have no way to cook it the way that they do!) What method would you do? Ready spatchcocked and ready to roast? Start with a plain whole chicken? Oven? Air fryer? Thanks!

The second image is after pouring the Nando’s sauce on, but the griddle was too hot so it pretty much all burnt off straight away. It was still nice, but not saucy enough. Next time I’ll move it over to the cold side of the grill.

People in Karachi what's the best option for authentic grilled chicken? The good ones I eat are from Nandos, rowtisserie, and an underrated one is wood fire chicken (bukhari). Need more options too pls as I love these.

Sharing in case anyone is looking for cheaper meals and hasn’t considered bulk meal prep and freezing. I do a big cook up and freeze around every 6-8 weeks. These meals in freezer bags freeze well, and I just need to defrost, heat and steam my veg after work. The meals are generally around 120/150g meat per serve and bulking with fresh steamed veg adds $1-2 a meal; using rice, pasta, potato or possibly frozen veg instead might make it cheaper. It’s not beans and rice frugal, but I’ve found them yummy and much cheaper than buying prepared meat or meals. I’m also able to keep the fat and carb content lower.
