On a side note the Nandos Fries tasted like ****, If im to do a ranking of all the loaded fries i have tasted in zim so far (made by fast food restaurants) it would go like this . 1. CHICKEN HUT (the sauce and the chicken and the fries are all exceptional) 2.KFC (The fries stand out on their on .. and the sauce with the jalapeños is good too, the only reason they are number 2 is cause their potion size is small and they don't put meat in them ) 3. Copycat Nando’s Half Chicken - Method?1d agoMy wife loves Nando’s half chicken and I want to replicate it at home (knowing that it won’t have that same taste as I have no way to cook it the way that they do!) What method would you do? Ready spatchcocked and ready to roast? Start with a plain whole chicken? Oven? Air fryer? I’ll preface this by saying this is my first Reddit post, so please allow a margin for error in my storytelling lol. Bulk meal prep and freeze under $3.50 a serve10d agoSharing in case anyone is looking for cheaper meals and hasn’t considered bulk meal prep and freezing. I do a big cook up and freeze around every 6-8 weeks. These meals in freezer bags freeze well, and I just need to defrost, heat and steam my veg after work. The meals are generally around 120/150g meat per serve and bulking with fresh steamed veg adds $1-2 a meal; using rice, pasta, potato or possibly frozen veg instead might make it cheaper. It’s not beans and rice frugal, but I’ve found them yummy and much cheaper than buying prepared meat or meals. I’m also able to keep the fat and carb content lower. I have a second freezer which helps, and it does take some time. I go for e... I work a semi strenuous job so that’s why I’m not as fussed about working out more than 3 days a week. I’m also based in the UK if that helps. If you know that the slower growing chickens are healthier, it seems really cruel to keep using the Frankenchickens and pretend you're doing it to be sustainable.
