I'm looking for Mechanical Engineering roles.5d ago[0 YoE, Retail Assistant, Mechanical Engineer, United Kingdom]5d agohttps://preview.redd.it/jfizmvwov1og1.png?width=5100&format=png&auto=webp&s=ae177e85798421e53de2d56d5b5a94efea506955 Graduated Mechanical Engineering last summer but have had no luck finding jobs. I've decided to do a complete remake of my resume. With my previous resume, which was basically a 2 page giant wall of text, I had zero responses. I've got no professional experience in the industry which is a bummer and is probably what is making it so much harder. I'm looking for mechanical engineering roles mainly, but across all sectors, so I'm open to jobs in the civil sector, automotive, HVAC, aerospace etc. In fact I'd even be open to finance... I've been using a different resume before this that was horrible, too lengthy, bad format no STAR technique. But now I have implemented that and cut it down. I used the template provided in this subreddits wiki. What you think can be improved still? I'm open to jobs in all kinds of sectors as long as they are mechanical based, which is why I've tried to talk about skills that can be used across the board. Protein Powder19d agoFor those who like to make protein & fibre drinks. I have found this one to be very good. Available at Home Bargains for £14.99. For me, the advantages are; high protein, zero sugar, very low carbs, plant protein rather than milk based. Help! Parking Fine Linwood24d agoHi all, hoping for some local advice. We parked at ASDA Linwood while buying groceries for a large group. After finishing the shop, we drove to nearby stores (e.g. Home Bargains) to pick up other things, then returned to ASDA the same day to get the remaining items we’d forgotten. A few days later, we received a ParkingEye charge for “returning within 2 hours”. The issue is that we genuinely don’t remember seeing any clear or obvious signage about a “no return within 2 hours” rule when we parked. Nothing stood out at the entrance or around the car park, and as we’re not from the area, we had no reason to expect this restriction. If we’d been aware of the rule, we obviousl... I don't shave so it's not a reaction from that, I keep the hair neat and not too long. I plan to keep trialing different antiperspirants, mostly hoping to find a natural one I like. In the day it's not so bad but at night I run hot and wake hating the way I smell if I don't wear deoderant to bed. I used to use these wipes called 'skin and surface antibacterial wipes' from Home Bargains in England, they were absolutely amazing for wiping myself down, sp... Got to say, when comparing different products and online stores I wasnt prepared for the assault of deliberate obfuscation of key information, crappy websites, dark patterns and borderline scammy marketing tactics that seems to have taken over the sector in my absence :( The prices for similar products are all over the place which tells me that I'm not wasting my time on this task, but can someone give me a shortcut to the answer I'm looking for? I don't care about flavours or 'extras' just the highest amount of protein per £. I seem to rem... For example: Pepsi Max Tropical or all these different flavours of Milky Bars etc etc. You get the picture. It's a different approach to the very fun Lidl/Aldi model of ripping off famous brands for their own-brand products. I just don't get the model for this - as they are ostensibly a 'bargain' store, I would have thought all this niche product, presumably produced in much smaller quantities than the regular varieties, was much more expensive to procure. Are they used as a te... Please help my Mom find her favourite chocolates!50d agoMy Mom has been describing these chocolates to me for the past few months, and she’s genuinely at a loss. She describes them as being in a dark brown bag, called something like ‘Chocolate Assortments’ or something like that (maybe Belgian but not definitely?), and she used to get them from cheap stores like Home Bargains, B&M etc. She thinks there was a coffee flavour one in there alongside the usual lot. It wasn’t branded either, so not Cadbury or anything. But you could find this specific one in many bargain stores. Any help appreciated to help my Mom! Gormiti Legends in the UK @ Home Bargains53d agoToday I found these Gormiti Legends large Poivrons and Magmion figures in Home Bargains, and also the smaller Troncalion set. They were all £4.99 each. I suspect these are only available in the larger stores. I suppose it's too much to hope that anything else turns up, but I haven't seen Gormiti in the UK for a very long time and was very pleased to see them. Freebies Again54d ago@luxbird!! Husband hiding me from public for two years now, blaming it on anxiety, and I think it's because he's cheating...78d agoWe met online. I was overweight which he said he didn't mind. I had anxiety and wore a mask/hoodie to cope with it. He said he was the last person to judge me over it. I lost weight before we met and wasn't that oveweight. He rejected me after we met. He avoided PDA and said he disliked it. He did things that made me think he was embarrassed of me. I went to the UK with him where he continued to act the same way for over a year. He broke down and told me he had OCD about not finding me attractive, claiming he felt bad about it. He started medication he said killed his libido. It was after I changed, lost more weight, that he showed more interest whilst still on the meds. He said ... Cool Find! Scotland81d agoFound in a 'Home Bargains' store here in the UK (Scotland).
