I have 150+ items to ship and have been organizing them into item type for packing. So far 4 are packed, and it costs 98,494 yen to ship them with tariffs accounting for 56,304 yen of that. I have chosen to use DHL because I don’t want to use UPS at the moment, but this is way too much. I'm using a small business service that has contracts with major courier like fedex. I get a quoted rate for FedEx shipping (DDP) which includes duties and taxes in the price I have to pay, but it is an estimate. This means they reserve the right to bill extra and after the fact if needed. First time shipping through Zenmarket. Price of the parcel is ¥286,000 and total shipping cost (DDP included) is ¥74328 (¥11018 shipping). Does that seem correct? As described above. Got a refund for my FedEx ground label on Wednesday, haven’t been charged since and the parcel arrived in the USA (shipping from Canada) without delay.
