Do I need to pay reinforcement before I pay the shipping, or can I pay together?

10h ago

It’s my first time buying an item from here. Do I need to pay the reinforcement first before they can start the actual shipping with the shipping option I picked. I’m asking cause I want to pay the shipping and reinforcement at the same time. Made my parcel literally a day ago.

Is this a real FedEx text message

15h ago

For context, the parcel in question was imported from Japan, I received the parcel 2weeks\~ prior to the first text message. So the fact I had only received a message that much later threw me off. No email about it, when I phoned support, they asked for a billing address, I provided the CORRECT address and I was told it was wrong and to contact xyz@fedex (cannot remember) I don’t trust this at all. It seems SUPER fishy. Cheers.

How to escalate a stuck FedEx Singapore shipment when customer service can’t resolve it?

1d ago

I’m posting this to escalate and seek concrete guidance, not to vent or compare experiences. This is also my first time using FedEx, and I am frankly surprised and frustrated by the lack of transparency and prolonged delay in what should have been a straightforward shipment. In early December, I shipped a small parcel from Singapore to Thailand via FedEx. The item contained a liquid and was intended as a Christmas gift. Before pickup, I explicitly checked with the FedEx pickup courier whether shipping a liquid item was acceptable and whether there would be any special issues. I was told it was okay to ship, so I proceeded. During booking, the shipping cost shown and selected was around...

Mail Carriers Keep Making the Rounds, Despite a Murky Future

2d ago

There is something elemental about the mail. Like the rain, snow, heat and “gloom of night” cited in the unofficial motto of the U.S. Postal Service, it is simply a part of everyday life. Until one day, perhaps, it isn’t. These days, the Postal Service is losing money — more than $100 billion since 2007; $9 billion in fiscal year 2025 — and its future is uncertain. President Trump has called it “a tremendous ***** for this country.” He has also floated the idea of privatizing the institution, which has roots going back to 1775, when Benjamin Franklin led the colonial mail service. Another threat to its current structure came last week, when the postmaster general, David S...

First Time Review – Kitsch

2d ago

Figured I’d sit down and write up my first experience with Kitsch. This was my second time ever trying a non-RepTime TD too. This was for a BTF Daytona Panda 116500LN. I initially enquired about both VSF and BTF options, pricing was clear from the start and there was no messing about. All prices were given straight in CNY, shipping and insurance broken down properly (Royal Mail vs FedEx to the UK). **Communication:** Overall solid. Not the most chatty seller in the world, but replies were consistent and honest. If something wasn’t in stock, he said so. If he didn’t know an exact QC timeframe, he didn’t make one up. I actually appreciate that more than sellers who overpromise. I mu...

Hi! I think I am at my breaking point. I made another post, made some updates, but it got pretty convoluted. It has taken so many calls to FTN to get some answers. The sender used a shipping company in Singapore to send my package International Priority. * FedEx received the parcel on Oct. 27 in Singapore. * Package went through Anchorage and Memphis before arriving in destination city in Houston. Nov. 5 clearance scan begins. It continues to scan like this throughout the month. I call FedEx support, and they assure me that this is normal. I read on here that Customs can take 45 days. Cool. * I reach out to Houston Customs, and they confirmed that they do not clear any private courier packa...

Any recent customs experience with sending parcels to US?

3d ago

I'm a student travelling to US for graduate studies and wanted to parcel some books, utensils, spices and homemade food products. If someone sent a parcel to US in last few months, what was your experience with customs like? If you had a smooth experience, which delivery service did you use? afaik Fedex, DHL and UPS are the three main companies that deliver packages in US and have different customs clearance rates.

Shipping To The US Question

4d ago

It's my first time ordering with FROMJAPAN, so I wanted to know what would be the best method of shipping 5 clothing items totalling 163942 yen to the US. I've heard that it's best to keep shipments under $800, so I'm planning to split the items into two shipments, and FedEx is one of the best options, but I'm unsure about clarifying the items with the material of the clothes and codes for customs.

Need some help/advice about fedex DDP option on hobby genki.

4d ago

So I ordered a shin godzilla for me and my friend on hobby genki before this whole duties fees debacle happened (US resident). Ive contacted hobby genki about transferring my UPS shipping to the fedex DDP so I know upfront what I can expect to pay extra so I can consider if it would be cheaper to just purchase the figure here and for retail opposed to getting it from Japan, I'm basically weighing my options to keeping the pre order or not. Issue is Hobby genki has informed me that they only issue the fedex ddp invoice one the product is in stock, which I believe i have seen that they have also stated they can no longer cancel pre orders once an item is in stock. The 2 shins were $222.28...

My friend needs to send some construction material from South Africa to Malawi. Need recommendation for a reliable courier service. 20-25 kgs might be the size of the parcel. Pls recommend some trusted services. I know FedEx and DHL as they are universally known but are they reliable in the region? Thank you for your help!

UPS UK import costs

5d ago

I’m a bit confused with a UPS import cost. I’ve bought 4 guitar necks in last month from USA shipped to UK. 1. £413 shipped cost to me via FedEx (eBay). Duty and VAT £90.03, handling fee £12.00 2. £342 shipped cost via FedEx (stackry). Duty and VAT £70.84, handling fee £8.00 Costs tally as 20%vat plus duty plus fees. 3&4 on one shipment. £468 shipped cost via UPS. Duty and VAT £129.49 handling fees £14.35 Why would the UPS VAT cost be so much more as a percentage? Item cost (1 to 3/4) went up £55 but created £40 more import cost. I spoke to them on the phone they have the correct amounts on the invoice and said the fed ex parcels duty must have been calcula...

[US] Ebay buyer wanting shipped to Germany?

5d ago

This buyer messaged me asking to ship to Germany, saying they’ll pay for the label and just have me print it. Not sure if this is a scam or if i should just ignore it. Any advice or experience on this is appreciated, thanks! Picture text: Good morning, I am interested in purchasing your RTX A4000. It is currently hard to find here in Europe. Before placing a bid, I would like to ask if you would be willing to ship it to Germany. To make things easier for you, I can provide a prepaid FedEx shipping label from my account. You would only need to attach the label to the parcel, and FedEx can either pick it up from you or you may drop it off at a FedEx station - whichever is more conveni...

DHL drop off on Bonaire?

6d ago

Need to shop a package home to the US and getting conflicting info on the location of the DHL service point. Their website shows it adjacent to the airport, which is Cavalier, their affiliated freight company. Are they set up for consumer type drop offs also? If not, does anyone know where the actual dhl counter is? Their chatbot is useless and they don’t open til Monday. Also, if it helps anyone else, the PDFX location in kralendijk is currently not shipping letters or parcels to the US, and the closest FedEx is on Curacao. Tia!

best parcel forwarding service poland to uk

7d ago

When seeking the "best" parcel forwarding service from Poland to the UK, it's important to consider several key factors to ensure a smooth and cost-effective shipping experience. The ideal service will balance price, speed, and reliability, while also providing robust support for post-Brexit customs procedures. Here are some factors to consider and services often mentioned for shipping from Poland to the UK: **Key Factors to Consider:** 1. **Cost:** Compare shipping rates, which can vary significantly based on parcel size, weight, destination, and delivery speed. Aggregator sites like ParcelHero and Parcel Monkey allow you to compare quotes from various couriers. 2. **Reli...

Hello, I'm a buyer and seller since pretty much the beginning of eBay. Thousands of perfect feedback. I sold a couple good sewing machines two weeks ago. I packed them beforehand, and entered the correct weight and measurements into eBay upon listing them, upon purchase and payments the buyers selected UPS Ground, I printed the labels through eBay, and dropped the parcels off at the UPS store. They buyers correctly paid $30 each per item shipping. A week after they were each delivered I received "shipping underpaid" additional charges of approximately $50 for each item. In other words the actual cost to ship each sewing machine was around $80 but eBay said all the while tha...

Parcel delivered & signed for to other country - can’t report as missing

7d ago

Hey all, posting on behalf of my distraught dad He has ordered a House of Sillage perfume for my mum, and it was delivered today to the Netherlands, we are in the UK. He has contacted the seller, who told him to report as missing, however when filling in the address section it says “it doesn’t match our records”. He informed the seller it says this and asked to call someone however they said he needs to report the parcel as missing which he cannot do. He also says he can’t seem to call fedex themself. It wasn’t cheap so he’s beside himself not knowing what to do now 🙂

How long will this process take via Hobby Genki. Someone please walk me through So here’s how it went. I ordered a Godzilla 2000 figure on Hobby Genki. Then I went with Japan Post. Turns out there’s still issues with Tariffs. I didn’t want to wait indefinitely. So I opened a ticket to Request FedEx DDP. I used the same query they suggested “US Customers only - Request for FedEx Delovery Duty Paid invoice”. I did that last night so not much time passed. In the Subject I just put “FedEx Upgrade”. Then for the message I simply wrote “Hello, Please allow me to upgrade to FedEx DDP so my order may ship immediaately.” (Yes I misspelled immediately) Will I get a response quick...

FYI - Always contact your local parcel service in case of doubt

8d ago

Hi, one of my Buyee purchases has been shipped via the japanese postal service; Not FedEX/UPS/DHL. According to the shipping status, it already arrived somewhere to pick-up. Unfortunately, the tracking status will not update more precisely. Also, Deutsche Post never notified me. Entering the tracking number on one of their websites will spit out nothing. So i have called the local customs office and they could not find it. I tried to call the one in Frankfurt, but they instead referred to calling Deutsche Post instead. Luckily, support was fast and actually helpful this time: The support agent then told me, that it got delivered at a pickup-station...**a Pizza delivery service nearby!**...

Anybody have any idea how long this Hobby Genki ticket will likely take to go through

8d ago

I ordered the Godzilla 2000 figure since it was in stock. I went for Japan Post as it’s what I used in the past. But then I learn that on account of the tariff situation it will be on hold and stuck in a warehouse. So now I have to request FedEx DDP. I followed the instructions provided on how to do that. It’ll be $13 more. I guess the one consolation is even then it’s still cheaper than any US retailer in the end. Anyone have any idea how long until they accept my request. I’d rather this not be a process that takes months.
