Please help

Hey everybody. I just graduated college so I feel this is a good time to finally address the problem of CH. I have been dealing with them for about 7 years now but always ignored them for whatever reason. Recently they have gotten worse and I can’t deal with them anymore. I have been to the doctor once for them and was prescribed sumatriptan. This, from what I remember 3 years ago, did not help much. I am going to list my symptoms here and triggers so if anyone has similar ones and advice / questions let me know please!!! Symptoms: \- Extreme stabbing pain above my left eye near the temple but inside my head. Almost feels like I am having a lobotomy or someone is crushing my face. \...

Daridorexant

Why won’t my GP prescribe Daridorexant “because it cannot be prescribed in primary care” but Boots pharmacy will prescribe after an online consultation (a quiz) for £80…? Anyone else had this issue? Also yes I’ve tried other medications

Boots pharmacy Crescent link

Has anyone else had issues with Boots reordering your prescription despite ticking and signing the reorder every time you collect? In the past 5 months, I've been left without meds four times (for a few days at a time) because they have failed to reorder. Is this common? They're the only pharmacy with a supplier for my medication, so I've no option to change.

Tesco VS Boots as a dispenser

18d ago

For anyone who knows, which is better? I cover counter majority of time whilst working at boots pharmacy despite being a dispenser, just wondering out of curiosity what it’s like as a Tesco dispenser!

Just a fair warning to anyone who plans to walk past the boots pharmacy on ferry road .

24d ago

Was walking out of the pharmacy today and accidentally kicked a homeless guys cup he left in the middle of the road because I didn’t see it and had 2 guys grown *** men starting on me aggressively even though I apologised. A women told them not to speak to me like that and they almost attacked the women for it. Don’t know who the **** these knobheads are but stay clear of the road for today just in case because they were acting extremely hostile to anyone. I’ve been homeless myself just last year and never used it as an excuse to act that way. Before anyone makes any baseless assumptions about them probably being foreigners i can tell you now that these people were white Scots.

role as a dispenser

28d ago

So i was just wondering whether or not anyone has some advice. i recently took a job as a trainee dispenser at a pharmacy and was really looking forward to it. I’ve just finished my first week and honestly it’s been awful. half the team is leaving or has already left. there’s another trainee dispenser who started back in january who seems burnt out and there’s 2 more trainees starting in 2 weeks time. This being said the amount of things i was expected to know was insane. i got shown once how to use the columbus system ( i think that’s what it’s called) and then got told to serve customers. I’ve genuinely never had such panic. i was put in a place where i was asked for medi...

J1 STUDENT LOOKING FOR A JOB

28d ago

Hey, just adding here as it’s quite urgent — I’m still looking for a summer J1 job in Chicago before May 1st. I have 3+ years retail/customer service experience (currently working at Boots Pharmacy) and I’m used to busy environments, dealing with customers, and working in a team. I’m genuinely open to a wide range of roles (retail, cafés, restaurants, hotels, attractions, etc.) and can start from June. If anyone has any leads or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it — even a contact or referral would help a lot. Thank you so much

How much is Utrogestan from Boots?

Does anyone know how much Utrogestan costs when bought from a Boots pharmacy? Struggling to find anything online!

Anyone who collects private prescriptions from Boots, how do you get notified when it is ready?

34d ago

My script got sent by post to my local Boots pharmacy, but i don't get notified when it is ready. Is there somewhere to sign up? I can see an online account for NHS prescriptions only.

New U.K. medication shortage?

35d ago

Had my first titration appointment with health harmonie minds today (yay!) and we decided to go for Matoride XL based on its release profile and my needs. The only issue is I can’t find it in stock anywhere (I’ve tried 4 pharmacies so far!! Two Boots pharmacies and two independents). All of them have said it’s supply issues. When I check on the Boots supply checker they don’t have any stock in my area of any of the equivalents either (Concerta/ Xenidate/ Delmosart/ Xaggitin based on this chart: https://www.choiceandmedication.org/psychiatryuk/generate/handyfactsheetadhdformsuk.pdf ) The only ADHD meds that Boots have in my area are Mediknet or some versions of Elvanse (but not all d...

Why does boots keep switching medication suppliers monthly?

38d ago

I live in the UK countryside. I take less than 5mg of lexapro as I do a slow taper. I used to take the official brand name cipralex in my old country. Lately my local boots pharmacy regularly changes the manufacturer of the cipralex I take. Each time they change, they size and firmness of the pill changes which alters my dosing. The current cipralex is by Lundbeck and it's as hard as a rock, it's fine inside like candy and much larger. Can I ask my doctor to prescribe the brand-name and will his small Pharmacy be able to supply or boots?

Dior Sauvage Elixir box change?

59d ago

Has the box changed? First time purchasing this and received yesterday. I’ve never seen a box like this in all the reviews I’ve watched, plus images online. The boxes seem to be with a base for the bottle to sit in and the top cover that slides over it. Now it’s just a regular cardboard box. Is this right? Or is something else going on here? edit: Purchased from Boots pharmacy (UK).

Deacon Blue - Real Gone Kid 📀

75d ago

🎶"Real Gone Kid"🎶 is a song by Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 pop rock band Deacon Blue. Vocalist Ricky Ross 🎙 wrote the song about a performance he saw of ex-Lone Justice singer Maria McKee during a time when Deacon Blue and Lone Justice toured together. The lyrics are a tribute to McKee, with the narrator using the term 🎶"real gone kid"🎶 as a designation for craziness, referring to McKee's "wild" onstage performance style. The song was included on Deacon Blue's second studio album, When the World Knows Your Name 📀 (1989). Issued on 3 October 1988 as the first single from the album, the 🎶"Real Gone Kid"...

HRT Private prescription costs

87d ago

So I'm on a private prescription with Imago and I noticed that the price I pay if I go to a boots pharmacy vs using the Clynxx online delivery is different even though the delivery is meant to be free, it still worked out more expensive online last time. Just wondering if prices are different across multiple pharmacies and if anyone knows what the cheapest option is, my prescription is really pricey so any saving helps 😭

No more Boots Pharmacy at LHR T3

101d ago

Heads up for any regulars who stop in at the Boots Pharmacy airside at LHR T3. The site is currently boarded up and being renovated, with a temporary WH Smith pop-up providing the basics from that chain. There’s no Boots pop-up though - and worse, I was just talking to one of the staff at the QF Lounge check in and he reckons it isn’t coming back post-renovations. He did mention there’s talk of a new pharmacy chain opening up but it’s only rumours. So, for now, if you need anything before you fly you’ll need to go to the pharmacy landside, down the end of level 1 towards Arrivals.

Meflynate XL supply issues?

114d ago

I have currently been waiting nearly 3 weeks for my local Boots pharmacy to fulfill my prescription for Meflynate XL (modified release) 60mg. It appears that no other local branch has any stock either. They are usually fairly prompt with obtaining various medications so I suspect it is a genuine issue. Whilst I am aware that there are only a handful of suppliers/wholesalers (at best), I don't know whether this is just a local/group supply chain issue or a nationwide shortage. Is anyone aware of any current supply chain issues? Thanks 😊
