Hi all! I'm trying to switch from a Samsung S23 Ultra to an iPhone 17 Pro. I have the phones connected, but during the Whatsapp data transition, it fails at 35% on my Android saying "An unknown error occurred. Please try again later". This happens in the preparation stage of it. If I skip the Whatsapp (hereafter referred to as Wp) and proceed with the transfer of other stuff (e.g., pictures and messages) everything works fine. It's just the Wp data transfer that's problematic. Tried the following suggestions, to no avail: * Restart both devices, resetting the iPhone as well * Try both cabled and wireless transfer * Reinstall Wp and "Move to iOS" app * Sw...

Went here looking to get my charging port cleaned, and the guy told me it was already clean and would need to be replaced for 110 bucks. This didn’t sound right to me, so i went to the apple store where they told me there was still a lot of debris in it and cleaned it for free. It worked perfectly fine after. So the dude at the store either lied to my face or was completely wrong about the issue. Either way, stay away.

I have a 4 year old Intel-based MBP that I’ve never opened, and after seeing this post, I think a fan cleaning is long overdue. The comments recommend having it done at an Apple store for free, but of course all we have are authorized resellers in the Philippines. I have an iPhone 17 purchased upon release last September. I have AppleCare+ The issue I am having is overheating causing glitches and battery drain. I do not think the batter is the issue, just a symptom of the overheating. I have been to the apple store and they said all tests we fine and recommended some setting changes. No impact, still overheating. Called apple support and they said I had to erase the phone and NOT restore it from my backup in case the issue was in the software. I had a Mac mini M1 bought in 2021 which died suddenly on me. On visiting Apple Store the hardware check provided two options, one of failure of power supply module and second of logic board is power supply is ok. The only issues was that power supply cost was 12% and logic board is 68% of the base M4 Mac mini retail price. I find these costs (I guess inclusive of labor) to be so high that they are encouraging me to buy a new one. The right set I bought from the apple store three years ago. The left set I recently bought 'ships and sold' by Amazon on woot. The difference in the color of the 'b' isn't the light it's how it actually looks. Also on the newer set the 'b' button doesn't really have a tactile button aspect to it. i bought my new iphone online bc they didn't have it in stock when i ordered. i also chose to trade in my current iphone for credit toward my new purchase. can i trade in at the apple store directly when i go pick up my order tomorrow? i heard so many horror stories saying that their device got stolen and i really really dont want to risk that. can i ignore the trade in kit from email and just bring in my old iphone to the store? will they be able to examine my device and give me my credit? im located in Canada. thanks in advance!

I am having an issue with Apple. I initiated a repair for some wired headphones a few weeks ago. best I can figure is that items without a serial number are given a dummy serial number and somehow my email address is now associated with that serial number. I have received to date about 100 emails from Apple stores all over the world meant for other people. they contain first and last name, repair id, store location, item purchase date, details or repair needed, customer signature and sometimes home addresses and partial credit card info.
