I'm a 40 something melinnial who hangs onto flannel, slim jeans and converse. I have some killer boots, but my shoes ****. I wear a pair of low top custom leather all stars as my every day shoes. I got the default gray nikes thst every dad to a 10 year old has. I have some tan knit Adidas that I wear more in the summer. I have this void of a nice pair of leather shoes. I used to wear Steve Madden shoes, like the OG bowling looking shoes and other variations of that shoe from SM. After I felt like I got too old for Madden shoes, I haven't found anything to replace that type of shoe in my closet. Where should I look? Born maybe?

I’m here now and am shocked that stores do not carry my size in footwear (5). Most stores carry 5.5 and up. I tried on Onitsuka’s that were a “5.5”. The 5.5 here is a Euro 36, or a size 6 in North America. Michael Kors and Adidas stores were the same. I thought for sure I’d come back with multiple pairs of shoes. Hi all. Looking to get my next pair of daily/recovery running shoes. I am 97kg and run 3-4 times a week. Current dailies are the ASICS Novablast 5 and the durability has not been great. I am currently just under 200km in them and I can already feel the foam starting to die and niggles are appearing in my feet. I am intrigued by the Vomero Plus. As the title states, I’m looking for casual shoes that are NOT ”dad core”. I find the New Balance 990/2002/etc. to be quite ugly and not my style at all, yet nearly every thread recommends them. Does anyone have suggestions that are more similar to skate shoes (Adidas Samba, NB 508, etc) that are comfortable for everyday use? I have a pair of dark blue Sambas, and an old pair of white Nike Killshot 2s, but would like to try something new preferably a lighter color.

There was a time when I paid attention to their shoe reviews, but their fetish for thicker and thicker midsoles became too much. And I know their marathon ravaged bodies need that extra protection, but geezus, some of us still race shorter distances. Plus, I'm sure my Adidas Adizero Adios 9's would shatter their legs.

Hello all. I'm looking for recommendations on a new shoe to buy within the next month or so. I remember having the Nike Pegasus 39's a few years ago and being able to walk miles with them without any discomfort during my international trips. I had to get rid of them once they got worn out so naturally I upgraded to the Pegasus 40. They felt maybe a bit less comfortable but still better than any of the other shoes I've tried since (Hoka Gaviota, Adidas Ultraboost, NB 1080 and Brooks Ghost Max 2). $80 for a pair of ultraboost 5x. It retails for $180 but Adidas usually discounts their shoes so I don't really trust their "retail value". I'm using it mainly for easy runs and maybe mix with everyday shoe too. Previously, I wear mostly hoka and nike for running shoes and I like certain ones but I can't justify paying $40-80 more for it.

I'm not a runner. I wish I was a runner but I have a bad back that gets more out of whack than usual when I run. I keep a pair of trail runners in my wardrobe for casual use because they are still comfortable and I like the darker soles compared to regular running shoes so they don't get as dirty.
