I noticed this banner hanging in front of the Grocery Outlet store on Hitt Road this morning. The store does indeed seem to be out of business, and the QR code on the banner goes to the careers page on the Trader Joe's website, but I haven't seen this reported anywhere else (East Idaho News usually has at least a small story about "big" brands like this coming to the area). Anybody have any idea if it's real or not?

We are really really frugal people. But we really enjoy having an afternoon chocolate treat. But we also like decent chocolate. Before we moved we would get chocolate from Trader Joes or on sale at WF. But now we live rural and do not have access to TJ, WF, Aldi or Lidl. That is a serious request. I know little about the company. I went to one probably 6 years ago and it was just a grocery store to me. A little unique for sure but prices were also just meh. It seems that if we still don't have one currently then there is good reason, and if they did put one here, it would just be a silhouette of a store compared to what you all expect seeing in bigger cities. Trying to figure out whether it is worth the trek to go all the way over there and back. The Wegmans near my in-laws in North Carolina has some of the best beef/chicken I've seen at a regular grocery store but I'm not sure if they'll have the same suppliers up here. And how do you find the prices compare to trader joe's/whole foods? I recently got laid off and am being extra cost conscious. Thanks for your thoughts!

In case anyone from Aldi corporate reads this sub Reddit--there currently is a large recently vacated Rite Aid drug store location at the prime corner of Hollywood Blvd. & Vermont Ave., Los Angeles 90027 with parking. There are Trader Joe's 1 mile and 2 miles away from here and a new Grocery Outlet store just opened one mile away, but the closest Aldi stores are over 5 miles away. I think this location has the potential to do more gross revenue than the nearby Burbank store.
