Uprading from Galaxy Note 20 5G to Galaxy S24 Ultra1d agoGood Evening All, As the title says I am upgrading my phone of 9 years the Note 20 5G (T-Mobile) to my newly purchased Galaxy S24 Ultra and I am using the Smart Switch app and I set the Note 20 as the "SEND" phone and set the S24 Ultra as the "RECEIVE" phone and I am connecting via a USB-C-to-USB-C cable. The Note 20 doesn't send anything to the S24 Ultra and it is odd because the S24 Ultra wants to send to the Note 20 o\_O Even on the wireless option it's the same thing S24 Ultra wants to send to the Note 20. We weren't getting the internet speeds we were wanting, so we decided to do a return. We went back to the original T-Mobile store we purhcased the box from, and the store manager let us know we have to process the return over the phone and ship it back to the warehouse (We have later learned this was false information). We called in and chatted about doing the return and closing the account. The TLDR is that I opened an account back in November and switched 2 lines from Verizon over to T-Mobile. I financed 2 phones for these 2 lines on a $0.00 per month payment program. I did this via web order. These 2 lines were never put on my account, and instead put on a temporary account (according to T-mobile support). I've been using these 2 phones for the past 5-6 months until yesterday the sim/esim no longer worked and essentially reduced the phones to iPod touches. T-mobile says there's nothing they can do. The net phone cost was confirmed at $19.59/month in the chat transcript. When my account activated the next day, the credit applied was only $13.34/month — $509.76 less than agreed over the contract period. I have the original chat transcript and cart screenshot documenting exactly what was promised. State of OnePlus VoLTE/VoWiFi in🍁Canada - 2026 edition8d agoAcronyms: - OP7P (OnePlus 7 Pro - GM1917) - OP13 (OnePlus 13 - CPH2655) - OP15 (OnePlus 15 - CPH2749) - OOS16 (Oxygen OS 16) **TLDR: If you're on OnePlus devices in Canada, Rogers and Telus are [probably?] the best bet these days, as reports are that VoLTE/VoWiFi works 100% with OnePlus devices [Rogers' VoWiFi apparently works internationally also] but Bell/Virgin won't roam on VoLTE in the USA.** **UPDATE: To fix the VoWiFi airplane mode only issue on Telus and potentially other carriers with this configuration: Use Nova Launcher or something similar, go to Activity, then Phone Services, then Wi-Fi Calling Preferences. Motorola International 1000, calls don't work?9d agoAny experts out there for this oldie? It makes connection here to T-Mobile Croatia showing MCC/MNC 219-01 and a strong 2G/GSM signal strength. When I try calling a number it gives me a busy sign (4 short beeps). If I try calling it, I get a message from carrier that the person/number is currently not available. I asked the folks at the T-Mobile store and they said, they aren't blocking any devices from network access, but who knows... I can't get anyone from tech department confirm that. There is no lock on it as far as I can see, I also did a 'global reset' and it worked fine using the 000000 factory password. Any ideas if I can make it work? Otherwise I'm afraid... T-Mobile practices ****9d agoSo I had T-mobile home internet for several months, received the router/unit from them, hooked up, no problem. Xfinity(who I also loathe for reasons) has been offering sweet deals on internet with a locked in price. So in January I decided to switch. Went to a T-mobile store to move one phone line and cancel the internet services. Relatively easy, but I was told I couldn't bring in the unit until the service had run out(ie cancelled on the 12th, service was paid to the 19) and a return label had been generated. Fine, so I wait and it kinda slips my mind. I get a text message that a $220 non return fee has been added to my bill on Mar 5. I try to go back to the store with the equipment... Zagg T-Mobile Insurance worthless10d agoHave T-Mobile insurance with a zagg screen protector under this policy I get unlimited screen protector replacements but the past month has been a struggle finding a 17 Pro xtr screen protector. Local T-Mobile store has zero stock for the past month they advised me to go to slower location and guess what they have zero. They decided to order me one from zagg and that order is taking 3-4 weeks. I am assuming zagg is struggling with the war and not having inventory in the US. We'll going to remove insurance tomorrow since a screen protector is impossible to find. Amazon it is. Any ideas? T-Mobile New Device Promo Restrictions11d agoLooks like there is a lot of confusion around the new T-Mobile Device Promo Restrictions. I’m not a T-Mobile rep but this is what I found out. Feel free to correct me if anything is inaccurate. * Two device promo restrictions seem to be two per promotion for each account and not that you can only have two device promos in the account going forward. So, if you have eight lines and then you can only get two devices for each promo. So, get two devices and wait for next promo to upgrade two more devices. * Some free lines are not eligible for these device promos but there are still some that exists which are nearly identical. * In case there are no promos for your free lines then I’m also t... Surprisingly smooth experience getting T-Mobile Home Internet (Boerne, TX)13d ago​ Stopped by the T-Mobile store in Boerne to check out their home internet and ended up getting everything set up the same day. Honestly expected it to be a whole process, but it was super quick and straightforward. The employees were really helpful, explained how everything works without making it confusing, and didn’t try to pressure me into anything extra. They just made sure I understood what I was getting and how to set it up at home. How do I get my number back and sue Mint mobile?13d agoI am in a weird situation. My last carrier was Mint mobile. The plan was ended in January and collected the port out information i.e. account number and PIN on Feb 24. I did not port out immediately since I was waiting for a new sim card from a different carrier to be delivered. When I was trying to activate the new sim card, I failed since "the number is not active"! I thought I'd get another Mint sim card just to activate my number and port it out. When I tried to activate the new Mint sim card with previous account information, I failed again. I called them on March 26 and learned that I cannot port my number from Mint to Mint!
