Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotSink Leak2h agoThe top of my drain is loose, and I'm guessing the sealant is broken. This is causing a leak and I assume I need purchase and sealant and apply it to fix this. If that is not the problem, what is? If it is, what sealant do I need to get and can I get at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, or heck even my local hardware store? Also where do I apply the sealant to make sure it is done properly? Solid wood book shelves/cases6h agoCan anyone recommend a local store that offers actual solid wood book cases? Not IKEA, Home Depot or Lowe’s etc. are there furniture stores that sell unfinished wood pieces ? Learning to DIY7h agoMy dad wasn’t handy. There was an issue, call someone he would say. Mom was reasonably handy - could change a faucet etc but nothing crazy. Anything i’ve learned is youtube or trial and error. Over the winter we had a frozen pipe break to the exterior faucet. Damaged some drywall/wallpaper and some flooring. Not ready to do floors yet so we subbed that out. Figure the drywall will be hidden and we’re talking 16 sf, so a good time to learn. Learned to put a 1x3 behind, taped and mudded. Looked good, but definitely glad it was hidden. First idea was bead board paneling on the lower half of the wall that had wallpaper . Until i found the corners weren’t square. Return the be... Best credit card for home renovation stuff after closing?7h agoWe're gonna be a little strapped for cash after all the closing costs. Something with a 12 month interest free period plus rewards for house renovation stuff would be very useful. Inspection was great, there's no big fixes or structural stuff, but a lot of cosmetic stuff is gonna need to happen in the first year. Some tile, bathroom vanities, paint, washer/dryer, some insulation, partial gutters, likely need a fence too. Should I just get a Home Depot card? Or is there a more generic card with big cash back on hardware stores? I feel like a ****** child.. I love my mom but **** I **** spending extended periods of time with her8h agoAs text says. I love my mom I’m 22, in my area nothing is affordable for me to move out and unfortunately I have to live at home. My mom IS a good mom however, she definitely has mental health issues. When SHE wants to do things and go out it’s on the fly, but when I want to go do something with her or invite her places she is quick to say no. Literally NONE of the times I ask to go do something will she agree. So then I go alone or w someone else. She is currently in between jobs rn and has a break till her next job and i genuinely cannot wait until she goes back to work. She is just a negative nancy, she always has to say something about someone in public if we go when SHE wants to go ... Has anyone ever come across this ?10h ago(I’m a past HD employee) (Home depot Canada)so I applied to HD about a week ago and I got this invitation to a VIP in store job fair? I have no idea what this means, it feels like a glorified interview lmao. clicking the link leads to a scheduling page where it said that there were only 2 places remaining so I’m not sure what to make of this. I’m really just curious to see if anyone has come across this before and if so what it was like. Where does one buy ammonia in Canada?10h agoGrocery store doesn't have it, home Depot doesn't have it. I've also checked other hardware stores and they don't have it. Where do I get it? Surveys11h agoI made a post about surveys about a month ago and appreciated the feedback on how to approach it. I looked through our Google reviews because I saw a customer again who asked me if I'd read her review of me because I'd mentioned the survey thing to her and she couldn't figure out how to do that. Honestly, it was a great interaction, and I love customers like those who are genuinely appreciative of you. She was such a nice lady. Found the review because she'd introduced herself to me. Only problem is, my name isn't Angela, but we do have an Angela in store. I hope she got a homer for it. 😅 Senate & House Leaders Press Lowe’s, Home Depot on License Plate Readers14h ago"Connecticut Senate and House Democratic leaders today sent a letter to the chief executives of Lowe’s Companies, Inc. and The Home Depot pressing both retailers to disclose how they collect, store, and share automated license plate reader (ALPR) data at their Connecticut store locations." Our offices recently learned that both Lowe’s and Home Depot use ALPRs in the parking lots of their stores in Connecticut. This has raised several concerns, to which we would appreciate your response: 1. Do any of your stores in Connecticut use ALPRs? If yes, which ones? 2. If you use ALPRs in any stores in Connecticut, what do you use them for (i.e. theft prevention)? 3. Do you have any... My entries in the hardware store lightsabers14h agoThe two in the middle are 10" from home depot. Outer two are 12" from Lowe's. I took the one on the far right and rearranged some pieces to get that large lug nut down to the bottom, that's the second picture. Left receipt is home depot, right is Lowe's. Meyer Lemon Tree15h agoHi All - I need advice. I’m in zone 5b and realllyyyy want to successfully get a Meyer lemon tree to grow fruit. I’ve purchased one tree online from a speciality store 2 years ago and another from Home Depot last year. Each time I’ve received them around March. They stay inside until it warms up and then get transitioned outdoors for the summer. They thrive and grow with the Midwest summer heat/humidity. They then come indoors for the fall/winter. While indoors, they get their own natural light from large windows. They aren’t ever too close to them though incase of a cold draft. They also never sit next to a heat vent. They have their own grow lights and a humidifier running on and... What Is Short Steel Bending? (Beginner’s Guide for 2026)15h ago# What Is Short Steel Bending? (Beginner’s Guide for 2026) Picture a guy at Coney Island in 1928. Five-foot-four. Polish accent. Skinny by any modern standard. He picks up a six-inch nail, wraps it in a leather pad, and folds it in half with his bare hands. Then he does it again. And again. The crowd doesn’t believe what they’re seeing the first time. By the tenth nail they’re throwing money at the stage. That was Joseph Greenstein. The Mighty Atom. He performed steel-bending feats into his eighties and most modern lifters couldn’t touch what he did at sixty. That’s the sport. That’s what we do. You take a piece of solid steel, you wrap your hands around it, and you make it... Is Rheem water heater from a plumbing supply house really better than one from Home Depot?15h agoI have had three Rheem Professional water heaters with 6-year warranties fail on me after 7 years. All tank failures. This really pisses me off. (Specifically PROG50 - 38U RH67 PV1 and predecessors.) I’ve been told all water heaters built now are crappy and will fail soon. If that’s true I want to get cheaper ones. Rheem’s line for big box stores has the same 6-year warranty as the professional series, but costs only half as much. **If they have the same expected lifetime, why should I pay double for the professional line?** Specifically: * Rheem Professional Classic Power Vent 50 Gal. Most of your questions should be answered by the resources below but if you have additional questions feel free to ask them in the comments. Seeking Starborn/Trex screws/plugs in store17h agoHelp! I’m looking for very specific composite deck screws for pickup in store. I bought Trex “Pebble Beach” composite from Home Depot. I didn’t realize that I needed to also special order screws for the fascia and straight edge boards (I bought the hidden fasteners and starting clips already). I have now ordered the special ones, but they are being shipped, there is a delay, and they won’t arrive in time for this Saturday. Anyone know where I can find these in store? Starborn 1-7/8-inch Pro Plug System for Fascia (100pcs) - Pebble Beach Starborn 2-3/4-inch Pro Plug System for Deck (100 Lin ft., 150 screws) with Tool - Pebble Beach Thank you!!! Ferguson pricing vs Amazon/Home/Depot/etc. for the same model numbers?19h agoI’m in the market for a kitchen faucet for my new build and decided on this Moen Sleek 7864EWBL. I was checking Ferguson and difference in price between them and Home Depot is pretty substantial. The model numbers are exactly the same and from what I can see, they are the exact same product. I’m aware that Home Depot (at least in store) sells models that use inferior materials, but is this the case online as well? It’s confusing because the model numbers match exactly. https://www.homedepot.com/p/MOEN-Sleek-Matte-Black-15-56-in-H-Touchless-Pull-Down-Sprayer-Kitchen-Faucet-with-360-Degree-Spout-Swivel-and-Power-Clean-7864EWBL/308240696 https://www.fergusonhome.com/moen-7864ew/s1429974... Could the smartest person to ever live beat the strongest person to ever live?21h agoThe fight is to the death. The fight takes place in a large Home Depot and they start at opposite corners bare handed. Both have no previous knowledge of the stores layout. The hand and power tools are in the **middle** **of** **the** **store**. They can use any weapon and any technique they see fit to win the fight. **Bonus** **round**: 2 clones of the smartest person Rebate system1d agoThis system that’s been in place for decades is flawed to such a degree that it is laughable at this point. I sent in multiple receipts for a rebate check of nearly $600 back to me for how much ($6,000) I spent at the store and still over 3 months later I have received nothing in return. They expect you to fill out the postcards and use common mail to do such a thing and yet can use excuses to not actually pay what they supposedly promise to pay as advertised. Company has gone to ****. I wouldn’t have shopped at their store unless they offered the discount which in the long run saves me about $200 than Home Depot, but because Menards did not uphold their advertised promise, it lost me...
