I was excited to buy some Tru-Tone lights a couple of years ago, but after only two years, the failure rate on these has been much higher than anything I've ever gotten from any of the big box stores. Extra annoying given how much these things cost! Picked up some of the new vintage lights from Home Depot today and came home and tested them side-by-side with the Tru-Tones. You literally can't tell a difference, and they're much more affordable. Switching to HD.

Hi everyone, I have been on this forum since the police initially raided the house back in 2021. After a year of waiting they filled charges, after another 9 months of court they finally charged me. I spent 3 months in county jail, got out and finished 2 years of probation (minus the 3 months in county). It was a terrifying ordeal, the constant probation visits, constant reporting. Home Depot & Lowes have the same 160lb bathtub I want delivered and brought up to my 2nd floor bathroom. But both only have 'curbside' delivery, with no options to bring it inside & upstairs (I called both stores & they confirmed this). What are my options--hire a moving company for delivery? This seems like a common service request, but I'm missing who to contact to provide the service. If it means hiring a mover, any recommendations for a large-item delivery?

I’d have to say any kind of vendor who doesn’t actually work for Home Depot. Whether they’re doing merchandising or trying to generate leads they get a lot of irrelevant questions that have nothing to do with what they are trying to sell. People just look at them and assume “Home Depot associate” even if they are dressed to the contrary. On top of being asked where the bathroom is/if there’s a bathroom or where things are located/differences between this product and that product (that they don’t sell) etc. they still have their actual job to do.

We just bought a vintage Jesper bedroom set from FB marketplace. The seller was diligent about taping all of the hardware to the specific pieces. Put together the buffet and chest of drawers without incident but when we attempted to assemble the bed frame we couldn’t find these two pieces (circled in photo). We contacted the seller but haven’t received a reply. I went to Ace hardware, a fine woodworking store, and Home Depot to find a possible solution but all of the braces and mending plates are flat and my partner is concerned about the integrity of “rigging” something. Any insight on what to do here is welcomed!

Had a funny thing happen this morning. A customer called me saying that they had the home services come out last year for a window install and for some reason or another, the order got cancelled because they weren’t able to do it. I explained to her that in-store associates don’t handle those orders, but I can see the order. I gave her contact info for the HDIS, and they should be able to help her out. All good. For context, my dad worked two jobs (hardest working person I know or will ever know) and is currently in the process of retiring from both of them: Home Depot was this morning and his other job is in January 2026. He would go from different departments until finally settling in Tool Rental, which he worked there for a good portion of his time there. My dad would receive some rewards here and there from Home Depot (nothing crazy but not necessarily a big deal). His tenure there was put at risk multiple times when management tried to reduce his hours or let him go (presumably to cut costs). Was driving through an abandoned Kmart parking lot after passing up the driveway to Home Depot next door and attempted to double back through the parking lot. The road just in front of the stores was blocked off by a chain, so I turned right to check the other one (by the street) when I hit the curb that was constructed to prevent access to the lot. In my defense, it was almost pitch black, the color of the curb matched the pavement, and there were no reflectors. I had also just turned from a busy street so I didn't have my high beams on. I have talked myself out of the 40volt twice now but it feels like buying the battery and getting the blower for free and the blower doesnt appear to ****. I think reputation and customer service are very important in the seed and plant business since it can take so long (weeks, months, even years) for the plant to be recognizable so you know you got what you thought you bought. I've fortunately managed to avoid many scammers, thanks in part to some reddit posts from those who tried buying from them. Here's my contribution to that cause, hope this helps some people. Hey all, I live in Western Wyoming, usda climate zone 3. My log home has a partial basement, concrete block walls and slab floors. None of the basement is insulated, it's buried about 4 feet up the walls. We are in the process of redoing the rooms (2 rooms and a bathroom, 800 sq ft). The basement is dry. My wife and I have been painting our walls as we have been doing some remodeling projects, and we have an area of paint that's doing something I've never seen before. Our paint is done this weird bubbling/wrinkling effect, just in one area of the wall. Our first thought was water damage, but there's no water lines in the wall and no dampness to the touch.
