Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotSeems like a good deal?4h agoHome Depot Gift Card Fail5h agoInstructions said to scratch off for code and….guess I won’t be using that. lowe's & home depot7h agoi refuse every delivery order i get offered from these stores because they are almost always awful. how am i supposed to live off of $6 for 20 miles, and it is especially ridiculous when i have to physically go in the store and shop. absolutely outrageous. there are a bunch where i live too, and sometimes i will get spammed orders from there. it is outrageous. i am platnium too, so i should not get orders like these. they tank my acceptance rate. i am contacting uber atm to block their offers at the moment, so we will see how that goes. [26 YoE, Software Engineer - Mid Level, United States]8h agoSeeking feedback on my mid-level software engineer resume with 26 years experience. Open to suggestions on clarity, impact, and alignment with mid-level roles. A Complete Guide to DevilCorps: How to Avoid Them, How to Survive Them, and How to Leave Them9h agoI’m putting this together as a simple guide for anyone who’s been recruited by these organizations, in order to minimize your exposure and in order to avoid damage if you do find yourself in one of these groups. **“I just got recruited by a company, but I’m worried it might be a DevilCorp! How do i know?”** Your first step should be to check this subreddit and give the name of the organization a search. Many of these groups are documented on here already. I would also recommend checking on devilcorp.org, which is a full encyclopedia that covers all the groups documented on here. This is also a great way to cover your bases. However, these groups change their names constantly an... Is there anywhere I can get sheets of milk-jug-like plastic at a reasonable price?11h agoI've been using squares cut from the sides of milk jugs to make dividers for clothing racks, but I would like to make about a hundred at once, so I'm wondering if there's anywhere I can buy similar plastic -- light, flexible, cuttable, and sharpie-able. They sell plastic sheets for craft purposes at various stores, but it's like $12 for two square feet or something ridiculous -- I would do better buying milk, if I had something to do with all the milk. Clothing rack dividers on Amazon are $7 for 30, so that's the price I'm trying to beat. I could go around looking in people's recycling for milk jugs and gallon-of-water jugs, but I would look a bit nuts. T... Decking Dilemma: Pavers or Concrete Around My Pool11h agoHey everyone! I’m planning to redo the decking around my pool and I’m torn between pavers and concrete. I want something long-lasting, low-maintenance, and that will look great for years. I’ve been wondering if it’s cheaper to source materials in bulk myself versus buying online or from stores. For example, I’ve seen options at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wayfair, and even Alibaba for bulk pavers or concrete mixes. Would it save money to buy the materials and then hire a professional just for the labor, or is it better to hire a company that handles everything from start to finish? Has anyone done this recently? I’d love advice from people who’ve been through the process, especiall... 54” hustler raptor blades11h agoWanting to replace mulching blades on my raptor today but closest store that has a set is over 25 miles away can I just buy 3 18” mulching blades that Home Depot has in stock? Excited to work at Home Depot16h agoAfter reading through this thread a little bit, I’m wondering if I made the right decision by switching jobs to HD. I have only ever really worked in food service mainly fast food aside from a grocery store job once and while I do understand, it will be fast paced. It can’t be as fast paced or hectic as constant fast food orders right with constant audits and extremely dirty work. Dremel Blueprint 12-volt oscillating multitool20h agoI just bought a house that will require many projects to come. Two outbuildings: one in need of some framework, siding, and roofing and the other needs all new siding. Complete remodels on the 1.5 bathrooms. Tearing up carpet. Lots of anesthetic superficial upgrades. Home Depot has this on clearance for $70 in store. should I buy one? Concrete Breeze Blocks22h agoSort of an odd question, but where in the city (or at least nearby) can I find some concrete breeze blocks for purchase? I have a small home project and would need 24 of these, assuming they were 12" squares. I'm not super picky, but the traditional flower/clover or some other sort of geometric pattern would work just fine for this. I've searched the big box stores like Lowe's and Home Depot, tried reaching a local concrete company (whose reviews sort of scare me anyway), and have searched high and low on eBay and FB marketplace, but all to no avail. And online retailers are asking for an order minimum that's way higher than my needs. My last resort would be to buy... Deck strap repair1d agoOne of the straps for my bindings on my garneau snowshoes ripped out through the rivets, and I’m trying to figure out how to repair it. I don’t think this company makes snowshoes anymore but I’m going to try to contact them to see if they have parts available. In the meantime I’m trying to think of a way to rig it up to work a few more days before the season ends. I have a riveter, and I was thinking some type of rubber belt material that I could wrap and punch some holes through, but I noticed this rubber has a nylon layer in it so I don’t think straight rubber would do. Hoping something off the shelf at Home Depot or a hardware store could work for now but I was wondering if an... Home Depot Charging Me a Salvage Fee "by mistake" (California)1d agoHi all, So I rented a miter saw from Home Depot this week, returned it after 23 hours on a 24 hour rental, cleaned it up, all parts included; it was supposed to be $44+tax. So just under $50. Guy tried to slide in a hidden insurance fee without even telling me (always reserve online is my lesson), but me maths good. Anyway, on return, no problems. Guy inspects it, turns it on, and checks me out. Half an hour later, I receive a bill for an additional $70 because of a "salvage fee" which means I either didn't clean it or lost some parts. I know neither of those are true, so I call them up and ask for the charge to be refunded. And this is where the problem comes in: He says h... I had 2 in-store managers and an online customer service rep tell me this was three $13 plants1d agoI ordered three 3-packs from Home Depot expecting 9 plants and they charged me over $120 for three of these. When i asked if they could send me 6 more they told me no that this was 3 plants but i could take a Redbull for my trouble of having to drive to the store when the online rep said that they couldn't help me. Please help a newbie with a small project1d agoHello, I am an extreme novice, I took woodshop in middle school like 13 years ago, made an airplane, a car, and a wrecking ball tractor thing. I have loved woodworking since then and I want to get more into it. I figured that this is a great project to get started on. I did help my dad custom-make his workbench, but I was basically a human sawhorse for the table saw. Though, I luckily will be able to use my dad's fully stocked garage for tools and such, so I really just need help with the math/dimensions and what is the best way to assemble it. (I would ask my dad, but he is more of a "take-over and do" kinda guy so I was looking for more advice For my anniversary, I am mak... Stuck with $120 Store credit at HD, should I get the 2 Pack 5.0 HO or Installation Driver?1d agoI’m trying to use the store credit and the employees told me that it has to be used on items in stock at the store since a Will Call order would be cancelled etc. I just bought the 4 tool M12 bundle kit that comes with 2 2.0 batteries and a charger. I was looking for a HO 5.0 since I’ll be hacking to get a 1/2 stubby to go along with it and saw the 5.0 HO 2 pack yesterday in store. I also saw the Installation Driver for $179 with a free 5.0 battery included and thought if that would be a better deal for $80 more. The versatility of it intrigues me since I only have an old ryobi drill that needs and upgrade soon How We Actually Use ExpenseBot at Our Construction Company — A Real World Workflow1d agoI'm one of the people behind ExpenseBot, and I also run a small construction company called Rio Grande that works in multi-unit highrise buildings here in Ontario. We're a 2-person operation, so expense tracking has to be simple because I don't have a lot of time to get it done. I figured it would be more useful to share how we actually use the product in a real business rather than describe it in the abstract. So here's our exact workflow. **Our volume for 2 employees** We're processing around 15-20 expenses each per month, so maybe 30-40 total between the two of us. Small but consistent. The kinds of expenses a construction company has — materials, mileage, to...
