Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotIs it normal to get a little tingle if I touch the centre tab of a correctly wired lamp socket?3h agoNot an electrician. I just got a lamp body from a thrift store without any socket or wires. I purchased a lamp cord with a switch and a socket from HomeDepot. Both wires have the same white insulation but one is smooth and the other has ribbing on its side. I followed a tutorial online and screwed the smooth wire to brass screw and the ribbed one to the silver screw. Tightened everything and made sure there’s no wire strands. However, after putting everything together and plugging it in, I accidentally touched the centre brass tab of the socket with my finger and got a little tingle. I know that was **** and I won’t be doing that again but I’m just wondering if this is normal or if I m... Kitchen Countertop6h agoHi! Small RO system Bill of Materials and Guide10h agoI've offered up my bill of materials/guide for my home made RO systems and several people have shown interest. I decided to update it today to update links and add in some perspective as I've built my 2nd (larger) system. Below is the bill of materials and notes for a system. Its set up as a 1x400 gpd system similar to my original build. I did originally use 4x100gpd, but in retrospect I wish I went with a 1x400 gpd system. It would have been easier to expand and is a bit cheaper. You can fit it in a 5 gallon bucket, or mount it to a piece of wood, whatever you prefer. If you want a pre-built system, RO-Bucket is a really great company, this is for people like me who ... Question about scheduling patterns at Home Depot12h agoHey everyone, just curious to hear some opinions from other associates. At my store, management is usually really strict about availability. They always say you have to be available at least one weekend day, and most of us end up getting scheduled Saturdays or Sundays pretty regularly. But there’s a coworker at my store who, for the past few weeks (maybe longer), has only been scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. She’s never scheduled Friday through Monday. It’s been pretty consistent. I’m just genuinely curious because it seems unusual compared to what management tells everyone else about needing weekend availability. The only thing I can think of is maybe she’s working... We conceived on the night before my birthday. Three months later, two words were exchanged between us, causing my husband to excuse himself from dinner and run upstairs, vomiting everywhere. I helped him choke up undigested pasta, and said the words already suffocating my throat. “But… we used protection, right?” I whispered, stroking his clammy face. Kaz was pale. Very ******* pale. Kneeling in front of the toilet, he said nothing, his head pressed against the lid. I knew we had used protection. Contraception was available everywhere, in every store. Is this good for an outside corner with odd angle?13h agoI was thinking of using hot mud to embed it to make it stronger a 20-ton battery-powered splitter??13h agoFound this on Northern Tool, and I hadn't seen such a creature before. 20-ton splitter that runs on a battery. I can't imagine the run-time between charges is long, but that's sheer conjecture. I suppose they make cars that run on batteries, so maybe this would give reasonable performance? **Anybody have actual experience with a recent model, battery-powered, and >10 ton splitter?** A quick search also brought up [a different one from Home Depot](https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-40V-HP-Brushless-12-Ton-Kinetic-Battery-Electric-Log-Splitter-Kit-4-0Ah-Battery-and-Charger-Included-RY40740/326497561). https://preview.redd.it/2tiaam3183og1.png?width=1056&form... Resume Help14h agoHey I am just posting my resume as I’m almost one year out from graduated and still haven’t landed a tech role. I unfortunately didn’t land an internship in college and I’m just trying to break into something entry level. Here is my resume and feel free to roast if anything. Any takers?16h agoWater Main - Type L Copper from Box Stores16h agoDoes anyone know whether the Type L copper sold at big box stores in Ontario (e.g. Home Depot or Rona) is hard or soft? This information isn't provided on their websites or by the pipe manufacturers. The OBC states that to be used underground... * Type M copper is not permitted * Type L copper must be soft * Type K copper must be soft ... as per item 7.2.7.4. copper tube - [https://www.buildingcode.online/955.html](https://www.buildingcode.online/955.html) I am planning to use type L as it is more readily available than type K, and will likely be using 3/4", but may use 1" in case that matters. Thanks in advance! Well, there’s no doubt pay has dropped, that’s for sure.17h agoWhat's a good spot for wood fasteners?17h agoSpecifically, I'm looking for some 2" (or so) dowel screws like in this image. I can't seem to find any definitive information on any place's website on whether they'd have this in store. Home Depot/Lowe's mostly say they can be ordered and delivered to the store within a week etc. but really hoping to find one by tomorrow. Figured I'd ask here before calling a million places :) https://preview.redd.it/wmcktq7y22og1.png?width=429&format=png&auto=webp&s=066d2deaa870003d67ef444d6a39a6e200823bba GL-01 Arrived!18h agoOrdered December 23rd, just arrived today They fit pretty well on me, tho there was a tiny bit of space between my fingers and the ends of the gloves (mainly my thumb, index, and pinky) so if you have skinny fingers like me that’s something to keep in mind. I also like the rubber grip design on the palm part of the glove, I think it looks cool Overall the gloves are just ok, I don’t have any gloves from Walmart, Home Depot, or any hardware store to compare but I wouldn’t be surprised if they feel pretty identical to those Best Buy featured in "America’s 20 Largest Low-Wage Employers and the Affordability Crisis" report, Best Buy...18h agoLink: [https://ips-dc.org/report-americas-20-largest-low-wage-employers-and-the-affordability-crisis/](https://ips-dc.org/report-americas-20-largest-low-wage-employers-and-the-affordability-crisis/) Best Buy is featured in the Institute for Policy Studies' (IPS-DC) report on the 20 largest low-wage employers in the United States in the context of the affordability crisis.
