Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotPlanting Day: The things I need; The sun and the rain and the apple seed.3h agoGot scammed by Home Depot, and they sent my T posts to someone named Tim in Iowa. multiple calls to customer service and got nowhere. definitely won’t ever bother even ordering online with them again. just awful service and I still got no refund, no estimate and when if they will ever arrive (I don’t think they are sending reppacements) and I called the local Home Depot; they won’t send me the ones they have in stock because it was an online order, makes zero sense. He said I should have done an online order with their store: (that’s what I thought it did). So my 30X t posts I hope you enjoy them tom, I will be driving the local Ag to to pick up t posts now and will be telling everyo... Is this a good deal?? Thinking of pulling the trigger 🤔3h ago47M talking to a 19F ?5h agoOkay, I'm being vulnerable. I've been with my "husband" for 20yrs. We're not officially married, but we've been together a minute and have 2 kids (20&12). He's 47, and im 38. Recently, he confessed to me that a younger girl has been making eye contact and being extremely, obviously flirty with him at a place he frequents a lot for work (a home depot type place in our town). He said he asked her the last time he went in how old she was, and she said she was 19. When he asked her old she thought he was, she said "in his 20s". He confessed to her that he was actually 37 (a lie), and said she seemed okay with it. He's became infatuat... Home Depot Peace Lily5h agoVery new to houseplants, and I’ve had this peace lily from Home Depot for about two months. It’s the first plant I’ve managed to not kill in that time, and it even decided to flower which has me extra stoked. I was warned not to buy plants from big box stores, but I feel like I won the box store lottery. I’m only worried about it already outgrowing its pot, do you all think it’s worth repotting at this stage? Tool Flippers Seen More Now?5h agoFor at least the really big sales, tool flippers seem to be more prevalent than they used to be. For example, Murdoch's had a killer deal this week - the 3697-22 M18 Gen 4 Hammer Drill/Impact combo with a free XC 6.0 for **$199**. I know a few people who work there and they said at most every store, someone walked in at store open on Wednesday and bought them **all** \- $1990 at my local store that had ten. They're all on Marketplace now for $275, as Home Depot and most other dealers wanted **$399**. (**Update**: As of May 4, Home Depot will be charging ***$349,*** but the deal no longer includes the free extra XC 6.0 battery, which costs $199 if purchased separately.) I gues... Cringe safety videos6h agoEven though these videos **** I do like the giraffe. Poor giraffe is being trafficked by home depot corporate. Got scammed by online order.7h agowell after about 14 calls to customer service I’ve gat they sent my order to someone named Tim in Iowa. 3 part order. 2/3 got delivered to my adress in MN and they sent the other to Estes express lines. They delivered it without a photo and wrong address. Now customer service won’t sent me the t posts or give me refund they say it was delivered. And can’t get a new order from the local Home Depot they said it’s online order a they can’t ship me what they have in stock I have to come Into the store to pay. Big Box store trees7h agoIf I buy two trees at Home Depot this weekend, will they be ok to sit in the pot until next weekend to plant? What role at HD is a good fit for me?10h ago58 year old dude with 35 years of corporate tech/IT experience. I've been contemplating getting out of the corporate world for a couple of years now, but this week I was laid off, forcing me to make a decision. I'm an avid DIY-er, having done many extensive home renovation projects, including two down-to-the-studs bathroom renos, complete kitchen gutting/reno, 3000 sq ft laminate flooring install, electrical/plumbing work, outdoor retaining wall construction, block-wall planter construction, and more. I love working with my hands, I have a knack for planning and fulfilling construction projects, and am very knowledgeable when it comes to getting the right tool for the job. I kno... The REAL story on who hires ex-cons and felons11h agoI have just navigated the job market in the last few months. I have a white collar crime charge that will be expunged in a year, but I was encouraged to apply to these "second change employers" via sites like [honestjobs.com](http://honestjobs.com) . Here is the honest truth: * **BJ's Wholesale Club** said no at $26/hr, even though I had a personal relationship with the store manager. * **Lowe's** said no at $18/hr. * **Home Depot** said no at $17/hr, even though I went back in forth with them about 4 times asking for reconsideration. * **Frito-Lay** said no for a salaried driver role, but YES for a warehouse role at $25/hr (which I have accepted!) \*\*note: re-apply for... Shock as Home Depot rival closes all 15 of its stores and declares bankruptcy thanks to consumers' reluctance to sp...11h agoHome Depot Solar Company13h agoOver the past few months, my local Home Depot has had a saleswoman from a solar company roaming the store, aggressively approaching customers, especially homeowners, to pitch solar panels. I shop there at least once a week, and I ran into her about five different times. Every single time, she would give me her sales pitch and refuse to take “no” for an answer. When I said I wasn’t interested, she’d immediately ask “Why not?” and keep pushing, this lady had 0 social awareness to see when someone just don’t want to keep talking. I don’t owe it to her to explain I need a new roof and don’t want to be locked in a lease agreement with them for 30 years. Any even then all they wi... Tips for Saving Money on Your MLGW Electric Bill17h ago**Tips for Saving Money on Your MLGW Electric Bill** The 20:120 Rule: Set your water heater to 120°F instead of the standard 140°F. This prevents "standby loss" and can save up to 10% on your water heating costs. Attic Hatch Insulation: Most people insulate their attic but forget the "door" to it. A simple DIY foam-board cover for your attic pull-down stairs can stop a massive amount of heat from escaping. The "Vampire" Hunt: Game consoles (PS5/Xbox) and smart TVs use significant power in "standby" mode. Use a smart power strip to truly kill the power when you aren't using them. Wash in Cold: Roughly 90% of a washing machine's ene... Billionaires bad meme is silly17h agoThis post won’t see the light of day. It will be downvoted, buried, rate-limited, crowd-controlled, filtered, and suppressed by whatever other tools Reddit uses to squash dissent. But I’m a persistent man, so I’ll try anyway. A more nuanced and realistic view is that sometimes billionaires are bad but not always. I’ll start with one of Reddit’s most beloved enemies: Elon Musk. The mindless drones on Reddit would have you believe Elon spent his formative years capturing stray puppies and selling their hides for profit. What actually happened is this: while living in a rundown apartment with his brother Kimbal, he co-founded Zip2, basically an early internet Yellow Pages. Compa...
