Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home Depot$8 Home Depot orders1h agoI picked a decent order from the batch of last minute HD orders. The rest were $8, I thought to myself only the female drivers will take those. As I was waiting at the customer service desk a bunch dudes started running into the store. I noticed they were picking up the $8 orders, wth I was wrong about who's getting those orders. Definitely not worth my time. Light reconstruction/flooring. I need subfloors redone and large tile flooring installed.2h agoDoes anyone have any experience or recommendations for getting subfloors replaced? I have a few places where the builder used pressed board in a house built in the 1970's, and the floor is wavy and sags in certain places. The chain stores like Home Depot and Lowes will install the tile, but they don't let their contractors/subs do any sub floor repairs. thanks! $20 Hardware store craft day3h agoHad work off today so ran to Home Depot and grabbed a couple dresser pulls, a stick of angle aluminum and a 2x2 of 3/8 plywood. Had some wood around for the base of the ledge then glued the ply on top and the alum on. Made some feet out of the sample vinyl flooring for the rails. Really didn’t take much and I’m happy with how they turned out! Share some of your cool diy ideas! Living in Tulsa, Oklahoma: The Truth No One Tells You (Myths vs. Reality)3h agoThere’s a quiet confidence about Tulsa. It’s not loud. It doesn’t try to compete with the big cities. And maybe that’s why so many people overlook it… until they experience it for themselves. If you’ve ever considered moving to Tulsa—or even just been curious—you’ve probably heard a few things. Some of them outdated. Some of them completely off. So let’s have an honest conversation. Because once you understand what Tulsa *actually* offers, it starts to feel less like a backup plan… and more like a lifestyle upgrade. # Myth #1: “Tulsa Is Just Hillbillies, Tumbleweeds, and Tractors” Let’s clear this up right away. Tulsa is a thriving metro of around one m... Let’s talk about why plants are more expensive at Tagawa, Nick's, Etc5h agoThis was brought up in another thread, and the implication was that it was price gouging/greed with no logic or justification. So let’s break it down. First off, we have economies of scale. Small, independently owned stores do not have the economic leverage of Wal-Mart or Home Depot, so Nick’s or whoever can’t buy wholesale plants at the same rates. Boutique retailers often sell much more obscure material as well. These may be somewhat rare species, specially developed cultivars for our climate, or native plants that are more difficult to propagate than the stuff you’ll find at a hardware store. Quality of staff is a factor, too. It’s more expensive to employ people who can answe... I found out a tidbit on Amazons A-Z Guaranty.6h agoThere isn't such a thing. Long story short, I had a fake item from a merchant vendor and they said I didn't buy it from them, but I did... have the receipt. Any way I contacted Amazon to use the A-Z feature. On Feb 19th I was told it was handled and would get the $50 refund in a few days. I even received an email explaining it. Month later, Nothing, called again on March 19th, Gal told me nothing had been done, a claim was never made. I forwarded her the email. She told me she was entering the claim, but I wouldn't get an email for a few days. Nothing happened, not even the email. Called back Again, April 12th. Lady told me the claim had not been created. She ... Light bulbs. What store?7h agoHome depot and lowes seem to have less these days. I need a bunch of different sizes shapes brightness. The main thing I learned working at Home Depot is that I'd rather work at a train wreck store than a decently run s...7h agoFavourite dog friendly stores/spots7h agoLooking for some pet friendly spots to take my puppy for socialization! I know about Home Sense, Michael’s, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, but I’m curious if there’s any other good stores we can take her. Also any good dog parks or restaurants you find are good! Edit: She’s 9 weeks rn but I want to build a collection of places we can take her later once she’s fully vaccinated. We take her to the stores mentioned above but in a cart as she’s only got one shot. Need some help with new dryer vent8h agoOur current dryer vent is too long and had multiple elbows and dryer performance is getting worse. I'm finally going to bite the bullet and run a new line with all solid duct. It's an awkward position but I think I can get to the area near our front porch. It's brick there but I'm ok putting in a new hole. I might need to pass through part of a storage closet because of the weird angle. Might look a bit weird but it's filled with junk all the time anyway. Maybe the wife won't notice... If I can break up an elbow into 2 or 3 smaller angles, is it worth it? I've read the calculations but figured that 90 degree had to be the worst for airflow, right? Is ... Small Garden Center Recommendations8h agoSince, Lowes and Home Depot have the flock cameras now, I will not shop there. I was wondering if we could do a thread of garden centers and hardware stores that don't have flock cameras around the parking lots. Small businesses preferred, because I will be supporting them instead of the big businesses. Even rural recommendations, so we can support small towns. Thank you❤️ Dark Brown Primer?9h agoIm still pretty new and not sure how much the spray cans at Lowes or Home Depot are different from brands that are designed with mini painting in mind. If I had to guess it would be the nozzle/atomizer may not be as fine? If there is no difference what is a good recommendation to replace Hyrax Brown Primer from Color Forge with? Id rather not spend 27 bucks for the can plus shipping and not sure if something from my local hardware store would work just as well. How far you bike for shopping using bike park paths, etc.?12h agoFrom my downtown neighbourhood, I easily use our interconnected cycling park pathways to shop in mid-Northeast to Byblos Bakery, Basha Foods, T'nT at Pacific Mall. All along the way get to Lowe's, Home Depot and Canadian Tire. Or bike further north to Italian Store on Skyline Dr. after going through little industrial area and past McKnight Blvd. For even longer fitness ride, to T'nT in Harvest Hills...for dim sum snack energy. :) All along the way, I don't see many cyclists or maybe am missing something. P Trap Leak, tried to replace washer but still leaking12h agohttps://preview.redd.it/72xb9hxjj5vg1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9d276159a1e790551b3a5edb980e02478f2f977 There is a leak underneath the bathroom sink where I marked it in the photo. Maintenance has tried 4 times to fix this leak but no prevail so I thought I would try. I bought a blue Slip joint washer because the guy at Home Depot said it would work. However, there was a red washer originally. I thought maybe I had put the washer in wrong, turned it around and still leaks. Also, tried without washer per worker in the store, still leaks. Although whenever I put the washer on, the turning thing never screws all the way down the threads. https://preview... AITA - DD Edition16h agoone of the Stripes locations in my town is getting closed down permanently, so they're slowly going out of stock on items and they will never restock. am I an ******* if I sit near the store so I get more of their orders and then go in to find out its out of stock and the cashiers claim they can't edit orders so I just have to contact support to unassign at half pay even though i really didn't do anything? i mean i did. I'm going to the store and finding out. but if I KNOW, and I accept the orders anyway...AITA? similar thing happened at Home Depot. customer tried to order air duster (i wonder why) and it was out of stock (i wonder why) so i called support and they unas... How to Replace Your AdjustaGrill Stake | DIY Guide19h ago**How to Replace Your AdjustaGrill Stake** The AdjustaGrill stake is built to last decades — solid 5/8" tapered carbon steel doesn't bend, break, or hollow out like cheaper competitors. But if you've had yours since the 90s, passed it through rocky ground a thousand times, or simply lost it on a river trip, here's exactly how to replace it. **What Size Stake Does the AdjustaGrill Use?** The original AdjustaGrill stake is 5/8" diameter solid carbon steel, tapered to a point, approximately 24" in length. The taper is what allows it to drive cleanly into hard ground without needing a mallet. If you're sourcing a replacement from a hardware store, look fo... Repotted 1 week ago, I think it was a success20h ago7 days ago, I put her in a wider, but shallower terra cotta pot from home depot with a generic store bought potting mix. I've had a few older leaves begin to slowly yellow, but nothing to indicate that it has rejected being repotted. Feeling proud of my plant! My kid got a bearded dragon, I went down the rabbit hole building this enclosure21h agoMy 9 year old got our first reptile, a bearded dragon, and I ended up going way deeper into this than I expected trying to figure out how to set things up properly. I didn’t want to just throw together a tank with some decor, I wanted something that felt more like an environment while still covering the basics. This is what I ended up building and what I learned working through it: **Structure**. Everything is built out of XPS foam. I carved and layered it into a canyon-style wall so it isn’t just flat surfaces with things placed on top. The foam is sealed with silicone, then adhered with marine PL adhesive. I used hot glue to hold pieces in place while the PL cured so I could keep wor... Favorite Home Depot Find So Far22h agoI had been patiently waiting for us to get just the standard Zebrina for over a year. After driving around to three different stores to see the new shipments, I found her 10min before closing at the last one.
