Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotHoneywell X2P Need C Wire??2h agoI got home from work this evening, made dinner and realized that house was abnormally cold. My thermostat has been acting funny, and it’s old so I checked it out and it was off. I finished my dinner while doing some research and then headed to home depot to pick up a non smart thermostat because I do not have a C wire. I picked up the X2P, couldn’t find anything on the box that said it needed a c wire and it wasn’t smart so I figured it was fine. For reference, I have 2 wires and a jumper. A W wire, a R wire and a jumper from R to Rc in my old thermostat. I get home, remove the old plate, install the plate and get to the next step only to realize that it says “required” next ... Plant (and Soil) Recommendations?2h agoHey guys! So, I'm starting up a 10 gallon (for a betta who no one wants) and I would love some plant recommendations! I will have a layer of soil (which is better- topsoil \[2nd picture\] or Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix \[3rd picture\]?) which will be capped with play sand \[1st picture\]!! I know for plants that you should do stem plants but which type? Stuff I Will Have: * Sponge Filter + Air Stone * Driftwood * Floating Plants (duckweed, salvinia minima, Amazon frogbit) * Plants (Anubias, Java Fern, \[hopefully\] guppy grass, different mosses, \[hopefully\] anachoris) * 'Pest' Snails (pond snails and ramshorn snails) * Mystery Snail (purple durple :0) I would love the ... Where to buy Salt ice melt?4h agoBeen trying home depot daily but no luck. Anyone has extra bags for sale or know a store that sells? Thnx in advance! Who's got the salt?5h agoNorth side of town. Home Depot? Giant eagle? Lots of places must have low supply right now. Which stores have it in stock right now? Help finding replacement bulb5h agoI had two spotlights installed in the dining room ceiling to highlight artwork. I’ve attached photos of the housing, the original bulb, and the retainer ring. The original bulb was a Philips Brilliantine 35W GU5.3 12V halogen bulb. After 15 years, the bulb burned out and I cannot find a replacement. The equivalent LED bulb made by Feit and sold at Home Depot is slightly too large to fit in the ring bracket. I’ve talked to Philips customer support, multiple hardware and lighting stores and several websites and no one seems to have a comparable bulb that will fit. Can anyone suggest where I can find this bulb? Or am I going to have to replace the entire fixture? Any advice is much apprecia... Value Wheel6h agoI got this patch many years ago. Does it have any meaning to the Home Depot as an organization? Do you see its values implemented at the store you work at? Just wandering, I am retired from THD. Which stores have shovels?6h agoDoes anyone know of any stores that have shovels still? (Preferably near the East End or Monroeville) Home Depot and Lowe’s are both out. asking for a friend… Salt availability7h agoDoes anyone have any idea when salt will be available at Lowe’s or Home Depot or any other big box store? I’ve called all that I can think of and all of them just tell me they don’t know which seems unlikely as I’m sure they’ve all placed orders and having been previously in the logistics industry. I’m certain there’s an ETA out there somewhere… The Rebellion7h agoFlorida. Find a Maga donor or Maga supportive store like Target or Home Depot ect. FILL your cart up and leave the cart in the store and walk out of the store. This is good trouble and a sign a rebellion is forming. if enough people will do this it will jam up their system. Favorite unexpectedly barefoot friendly places7h agoWhere’s somewhere you go barefoot that you would have totally expected would have a problem with it, but are fine about it? For me it’s Home Depot. I assumed I would immediately get turned away under the guise of hazards on the floor, being a hardware store. But I’ve been there almost daily for the last few months due to renovation work, and turns out it’s not a problem at all. Something about the dusty concrete floors in there feels really nice underfoot too, so I’m very glad they don’t have a problem with it. Does anyone have a roughly 2x8 or 2 2x4 pieces of 3/4" walnut plywood laying around (or somewhere that sells someth...7h agoI can pay for them as long as they're reasonably priced! Fine lumber was well out of my budget unfortunately at about $200 for a 4x8 sheet. I'm only making some small-ish drawers for my headboard and would only need the equivalent of a 2x8 sheet roughly (even less, like a 2x6 would work too). Other places around also seem to only sell 4x8. Unfortunately, I would love to have these sometime in the next couple of days but it seems like the more affordable walnut plywood from Home Depot takes a long time to be delivered to the store. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! First time job8h agoRecently I got a job at Home Depot and I just have some questions, do I clock out during lunch break? I know for my store atleast I’m not sure if it’s for all that we get a break every 2 hours on the clock, but is lunch on or off the clock? Pretty sure this is a **** question but it’s my first job so I’m not really knowledgeable on this… Shovels at Home Depot8h agoTo the couple that just walked out smiling after buying EVERY GOD **** SHOVEL in the store, I hope that you’re happy with yourselves. **** any one of the dozens of people that just came in to purchase one to clean up after the “plows” that came through. It’s not like we needed one too or anything😤 What's the best place to buy Makita tools in Canada?10h agoI've been slowly building up my Makita collection over the past year (LXT platform - drill, impact, circular saw, and just grabbed the angle grinder). Love the tools but getting frustrated with availability and pricing. Home Depot near me is constantly out of stock on batteries and specific tools I want. When they do have stuff, it's full price. Canadian Tire selection is pretty limited. Amazon worries me because of all the counterfeit stories I keep seeing. I'm at the point where I want to stock up on a few more batteries and grab a couple more tools (oscillating tool and maybe the track saw), but I'm tired of hunting around or waiting weeks for restocks. I'm cu... Home depot shows nothing in stock except some sets in Edgewood but I haven't been out to check. Lowes also showing nothing "in store today" Has anyone seen stores with shovels in stock Bel Air & south? Ideally cheap ones Edit: thanks for all the leads, I ended up checking Walmart, Tractor supply in Aberdeen and they had nothing. I checked the home depot in Aberdeen and they had just put four boxes out in the vestibule, so that's likely the best bet right now. First Time Soil Blocking - Help?11h agoI think I was gardenfluenced too heavily on other social media channels and find myself having invested in a soil blocker but no experience or special skill to back this up, and had not realized you needed \*special dirt\* to form blocks. Any tips on the easiest (read: available at a Home Depot or garden store) lift in terms of soil blocking mixture? Water Heater Maintenance: How Often to Drain It11h ago[Water Heater Maintenance Tips for South Carolina Homeowners | Myrtle Beach Insurance Advice](https://thinkdavisinsurance.com/water-heater-maintenance-how-often-to-drain-it/) # Water Heater Maintenance: How Often to Drain It (and Why It Matters for Your Home Insurance) By Brad Davis, CIC (January 27, 2026) *Davis Insurance Associates – Myrtle Beach, South Carolina* If there’s one appliance in your home that quietly causes some of the **most expensive water damage claims**, it’s the water heater. As a local insurance agency serving **Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas of South Carolina**, we regularly see claims caused by failed water heaters – especially when they’re locate... Piggybank Bits: Buy Holiday Decorations After the Holiday11h agoI was in London Drugs this weekend and, right on cue, there they were. Christmas decorations still on the shelves, marked down **60–80% off**. I’d seen the same thing a few weeks earlier at HomeSense. Big discounts, January, perfectly good décor, just no longer “on time.” And that’s the opportunity most people miss. Holiday decorations are priced high *before* the holiday because retailers want as much time as possible selling them at full price. Trees, inflatables, wreaths, flags, and lights hit the shelves weeks (sometimes months) early to maximize that window. Once the holiday passes, the priority shifts from margins to clearing space. Everything has to go. As a consumer, *... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
