But if you've had yours since the 90s, passed it through rocky ground a thousand times, or simply lost it on a river trip, here's exactly how to replace it. **What Size Stake Does the AdjustaGrill Use?** The original AdjustaGrill stake is 5/8" diameter solid carbon steel, tapered to a point, approximately 24" in length. The taper is what allows it to drive cleanly into hard ground without needing a mallet. If you're sourcing a replacement from a hardware store, look fo... Repotted 1 week ago, I think it was a success6h ago7 days ago, I put her in a wider, but shallower terra cotta pot from home depot with a generic store bought potting mix. I've had a few older leaves begin to slowly yellow, but nothing to indicate that it has rejected being repotted. Feeling proud of my plant! My kid got a bearded dragon, I went down the rabbit hole building this enclosure7h agoMy 9 year old got our first reptile, a bearded dragon, and I ended up going way deeper into this than I expected trying to figure out how to set things up properly. I didn’t want to just throw together a tank with some decor, I wanted something that felt more like an environment while still covering the basics. This is what I ended up building and what I learned working through it: **Structure**. Everything is built out of XPS foam. I carved and layered it into a canyon-style wall so it isn’t just flat surfaces with things placed on top. The foam is sealed with silicone, then adhered with marine PL adhesive. I used hot glue to hold pieces in place while the PL cured so I could keep wor... Favorite Home Depot Find So Far8h agoI had been patiently waiting for us to get just the standard Zebrina for over a year. After driving around to three different stores to see the new shipments, I found her 10min before closing at the last one. New to e-commerce, trying to figure out product research — I used Claude Code to mine Reddit for buyer complaints and ...11h agoI've been thinking about selling on Amazon for a while but got stuck at find a product worth selling? Every guide says "find a problem to solve." but how. I tried this approach. I used Claude Code to build an iterative research workflow that mines Reddit for real buyer complaints, not what's selling but what are people frustrated about that nobody has fixed. Here's what it found on expandable/collapsible garden hoses — a category I picked off the Best Sellers list. I'm trying to figure out if this workflow is producing useful signal or just impressive-looking noise. Would genuinely appreciate input from anyone who's been in this space. Happy to shar... Stains for stair treads11h agoLooking to put caps on stair treads which were previously carpeted.. Home Depot has option which is pre-stained (70 dollars each), or half the price which is not stained. I only need 6 right now (split level). My question is, would the pre-stained option perhaps be superior quality as it is factory processed vs doing it myself? If I were to do it myself, what would be the best stain / polyurethane for stair treads.. the product it is advertised as a “semi-gloss Nanotek ultra-wear clear finish” this is the link for the product: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stairtek-Retread-0-625-in-x-11-5-in-x-36-in-Prefinished-Gunstock-Red-Oak-No-Return-Stair-Tread-XBTRO113600250/202018676?g\_store=47... Finished my first day as a year one day one bricklayer apprentice.11h agoToday was my first day as a year one day one bricklayer apprentice. Went quite well for the tasks I was assigned to do when needed—sawing brick/block, grouting, and jointing, etc. One issue I've come across was going back and forth, grabbing tools such as my trowel, brick hammer, and barrel jointer. Can anyone recommend a belt tool pouch to hold at a minimum my hammer, utility knife, barrel jointer, and maybe a tuck pointer? Just a few items I'll be using on the regular. The supply store I got most of my tools from as an apprentice is quite far away, but I felt the need to grab a cheap leather hammer holster from Home Depot after work. DCD801 kit12h agoHome Depot. Spring Black Friday. Price 229.99. Seems extremely good. I’m in the need of a drill for automotive use, is the dcd801 any good? Suspicious13h agoCeiling fan store?13h agoMy 9mo old loves ceiling fans, we go to Costco to see the big ones and he just loves it. I took him to Home Depot but none of them actually spin, is there any stores that have a bunch of ceiling fans that actually spin? Tia DCMWP234U2 at Home Depot ….. no longer carrying it?13h agoI needed a mower for a medium sized backyard and HD website had one at $399 locally. I bought it online and then realized the only one left was on the other side of town. Double checked and sure enough the two closer stores were sold out. Since my credit card had already been charged I reluctantly drove over there. Just my luck…. they couldn’t find the one remaining in stock. They tried to sell me the $500 self propelled mower but I don’t need it for this sized yard so I was about to walk out. Manager came over and said Home Depot is no longer carrying that SKU but offered me the assembled one on display. I said “well only if it has all the stuff”. They pulled it down a... My AI assistant wants me to board up all my windows13h ago(this is a work in progress, and is my first project I'm sharing with reddit, so feedback/suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!) **March 12, 2025** First post on a new blog, no pressure, lol. My name is Michael, I’ve just begun my 33rd year of life, and the beginning of my new year has finally lit a match under my *** that made me want to get up and try to make some positive change in my life. After a pretty heated spat with my parents, I very hastily took my little (beloved) rat dog Oreo and my three hermit crabs Rhaegal, Viserion, and Drogon (amazing names, I know) to a trailer near a retirement community. As I’m sure you can imagine, there’s not much going on around her... my AI assistant wants me to board up all my windows13h ago**March 12, 2025** First post on a new blog, no pressure, lol. First round of price cuts at Home Depots clearing out XGT tools15h agoThe first round of clearance prices have hit many stores. Note clearance prices **do** vary by store and not all HDs are clearing out XGT. Feeling lost shopping for flooring in Toronto — visited Home Depot and a few independents, big price difference but no...16h agoStarting a main floor renovation in our house in Scarborough. About 800 sqft total. Went to Home Depot first just to get a baseline — felt overwhelmed, sales person wasn't very helpful, prices seemed high for what I was looking at. Then visited a couple of independent flooring stores and the prices were noticeably lower but I don't recognize any of the brand names. Is it sketchy to buy flooring from a brand I've never heard of? How do I even compare quality between stores? Feel like I'm missing something obvious here. Vinyl plank: OK to buy in batches?17h agoWe're thinking of replacing our carpet to vinyl plank for the whole house and was wondering if it's ok to buy the planks in batches from somewhere like menards or home depot. If we bought the whole amount we needed, it would be quite a bit and was hoping to take it one room at a time. Is there anything wrong with this approach? Was mostly worried if we needed more of the same flooring, the store would no longer carry the brand/type of floor we started with. Can you help me identify this piece of wood?18h agoHello, newbie here! The question is in the title. I tried searching online for the answer, but still couldn't come up with an answer for what type of wood this is. The color isn't light/pale yellow but almost a very faint reddish brown hue. This was acquired from a community shop where people leave their project scraps for anyone to use if they need it. I dont know who left it so I can't ask, and the one person I did ask said it could be pine but they weren't sure, which is why I've come here to see if anyone else could provide insight. Regarding weight, the best I could say is it's not heavy nor is it very light. It's about as heavy as pine you would get ... We should be able to block stores.18h agoRenting a sprayer - advice needed19h agoHey all - I am a new homeowner and looking to do some basement Reno’s. I have an exposed basement ceiling and am looking to paint the ceiling matte black. I assume renting a sprayer is the way to go. Home Depot offers the following unit. Is this the right tool for the job? It appears you just plug this into the wall.. am I correct? Would I need any additional tools or accessories or can I just pick this up and start spraying? Not super knowledgeable here, so any advice is much appreciated. HELP - Uplift V3 or Uplift V2 Commercial19h agoHi all, I am in the market for a standing desk and currently looking at Uplift. I have had a Uplift V2 for 6 years and absolutely love it. However, my wife needs a standing desk for herself and she is going to take mine and I am going to buy a new one. Additionally, I am planning on purchasing just the frame and add my own 60x30 desktop from Home Depot (or some other hardware store). I really prefer the look and feel of real wood. I can either buy an **Uplift V2 Commercial frame** for \~ $320 (currently on clearance) or **Uplift V3 frame** for $100 more ($420). I am leaning towards the former as Uplift V2 has worked phenomenally well and I am unsure whether V3 has any real noticeable benefi...
