Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotFound Gall on Walmart Dahlia2h agoSo I am new this year to growing dahlias. And bought this from Walmart before I knew not to. It presprouted great and grew fast. I took cuttings and had like 10 plants growing. The mother plant I potted in a plastic container- as i that point knew big box stores could have gall. So isolated it. The plant slowed way down after potting so I decided to dump it out to see if it had too much water. I found big tumors of gall on several of the tubers as it was a whole clump. Ugh 😣 I’m glad I isolated it and all my tools used while doing cuttings. But just threw the mother plant and like 8 rooted cuttings away. So nooooooo do not buy from big box stores. I have one from Home Depot I’m wa... The AI Cartel: How Big Tech Monopolized AI2h agoIn May 2023, the very people building our future - AI engineers, executives, billionaires, academics - they all signed a soap-opera level [statement](https://aistatement.com/#signatories): *Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war.* Yes, the same AI that often hallucinates and tells you what you want to hear will one day enslave humanity. Now I understand why the engineers who are actually building this stuff are worried. But why are the CEOs being so vocal about it? If your product is terrifyingly powerful, why not work quietly to limit its capabilities instead of going on a media tour sa... Silver Dragon Saga Continues2h agoWarning - experimental amateur doing experiments. For those following along (I believe my posts are public and I haven’t done much with IT/Webites lately) … so should be easy to look back to my previous posts here about this. I cut off the fungal portion of the leaf. Rinsed the roots and sprayed with a very very mild hydrogen peroxide and water solution. Great results if you asked me! Still some fungal proliferation but cutting the leaf did not result in drama from the plant. 🤯 shocking. Still some fungal persistence. Waiting for the new leaf to unfurl and then going to prune the fungal leaf completely. I believe the root cause 😎 was root rot and fungal infection as a result... Moving from Store to SSC at Home Depot – How long does the process take?3h agoHas anyone here transitioned from a store role to an SSC (Store Support Cente) role at Home Depot? I’m curious about how long the internal hiring process usually takes - especially the paperwork and approvals after interviews. Does it tend to be slow or bureaucratic? Would really appreciate hearing about your experience or timeline. RRV Epidemic in Texas & Commercial Landscaping4h agoHello, everyone! Two months ago, I began to formally document the RRV epidemic in Conroe, Texas (34 miles north of Houston). My goal is to document large, commercial areas in Montgomery County. Below are the 4 locations that I've covered thus far: 1. **Grand Central Park - Market on Loop 336 off of Interstate-45** This shopping center, in particular, has \~1000 rose shrubs. Of these, there are \~530 shrubs along the main shopping walkway—around 500 of which are infected. The only shrubs along the path that weren’t symptomatic had just been planted for the opening of a new gym. *(I counted every single plant and took pictures of each batch of shrubs. Around the 300 mark, I... So what's going on?5h agoEverytime we go to home depot for the past year this car sits in the home depot parking lot. 1st how lazy is the store manager of home depot to not have taken care of the parking lot and having it towed as soon as the tires went flat or when the license plate disappeared? 2nd We as customers know this ****** fake surveillance is Not working or the police should have noticed. 3rd if you are thinking of moving to Santa fe this is the normal so don't be surprised when nothing gets done about crime here. Everyone just looks the other way. The land of mañana doesn't mean tomorrow it just means not now. Dehumidifier Install7h agoI hope this is the right sub, but I’m looking at getting a whole house dehumidifier in my basement. I was talking with a company and got quoted a few hundred dollars more than what I could go pick the same model up at the store. The install seems like it’s basically just leveling, plugging in, and setting a tube to the drain. Am I missing anything? Any benefit of having someone else do it? Any difference in the one a contractor can get and one I would buy from Home Depot? Thanks in advance. Edit: here’s the [model I’m targeting](https://www.homedepot.com/pep/AprilAire-E080-80pt-4400-sq-ft-Bucketless-Dehumidifier-in-Gray-for-Whole-House-Basement-Crawlspace-ENERGY-STAR-E080/317... Home Depot Tesla Bot9h agoHome Depot Tesla Bot9h agoYsk with spring on its way, DO NOT plant Japanese barberry in your yard as it has been shown to increase ticks and Lyme ...9h agoWhy YSK: (TLDR) this common plant creates habitats that allow ticks and mice to thrive. ticks get lyme disease bacteria from feeding on mice. so these plants are helping promote and increase the prevalence of lymes disease, the plant is also invasive and bad for the ecosytems of north america. theres also a video at the end of the post that summarizes all of the following writing and even greater detail So Japanese barberry is a very common lawn decorations and is still sold at many stores like home Depot and such through the US. Here is a picture of the plant in it's more common purple variety :[purple](https://imgur.com/gallery/QtpfjGF) and it's more natural green variety of ... Does anyone know what the main item of this deal could have been?11h agoI saw this saw kit for $700 which is a decent deal but to get a $700 saw kit for free if you buy another item is pretty wild and has me wondering what the main item could have been. I’m an inexperienced woodworker who watched a ton of YouTube and TikTok videos to build a birthday backdrop (arch style backdrop wall) and went to 2 different lumber stores (Home Depot and Rona). I noticed Rona’s plywood sheets were cheaper but the few sheets sitting on top were warped. is there a significant quality difference between these two shops? or do I need to just find another Rona location? my project won’t be stored outside but might be used outside in the summer during birthday parties, etc. Base Exchanges/Commissaries22h agoA vast majority of people don't realize that money earned by Base Exchanges goes into funding MWR. People think Base Exchanges and Commissaries should easily be able to compete with Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, etc. Lots of places off base cannot compete with these giants. Walmart and Amazon make their purchases in bulk, which lowers prices for customers. They both have distribution centers all over the country. Walmart has stores everywhere. Amazon has their own aircraft and contracted delivery teams. The Base Exchanges/Commissaries cannot compete with this type of money and shipping capacity. Base Exchanges used to have slow delivery, that's if what you ordered actually showe... Air horn can to attach BRS stove?1d agoI would like to try air horn canister for my BRS stove but looks like some of them or maybe even most of them are not working, thread is recessed too deep for the stove to attach. Could you please give me a direct Amazon link to air horn which have reliably working canister? Reference to US store like Walmart or Home Depot would be even better. As far as I understand Ozark one is not working. Edit: I get Ozark today and it is connecting fine to BRS but not filling. Valve is about 1 mm shorter than in normal fuel cans. I have filed down my filling adaptes, and some gas transferred, but only a little. I suspect that in order to remove the original content I have pressed horn button (with rem... I need help.
