I love plants, and I stole. I bought a plant and took a few small pieces and return it to the store. I knew it was wrong but didn’t want to pay. I just wanted the plant so I took a few leaves and gave back the plant. Then, I learned that whenever you return the plants that they throw them away. They can’t resell them. I feel so terrible. I love plants so much. I’ve also been taking corms which are a small seed that grow on top of the soil on top of plants at home depot and lowers. The seeds sprout new plants. Went to 7 stores tonight including Lowes & Home Depot -- literally no salt or ice melt. Rough sledding.

Admittedly, I was an agoraphobic and tired ****-**** who didn't pick up ice-melt in time last week after panicking and putting down too much in 2022. Anyone shopping at home improvement stores before 8A last Saturday is with me. The lady at Home Depot who looked at me sideways for asking about bottles of alcohol was not with me. Thankfully, I had a COVID prohibition-era bottle of hand-sanitizer, cleaning vinegar, Epsom salt, dish soap, warm water, snow shovel, and most importantly, a spade. Very iffy on the boots/shoes but decent tires. Saw some other great suggestions like 20 lb dumbbells, sledge hammer, (Peter Gabriel for tunes,) hammer hammer to break up ice. What other tips y�...

Just wondering where you guys are finding these Gozney Arc XL’s on sale for $399 at Home Depot? My local store has some and seems like they will discount them if I can show them an example on Home Depots website. The store location would be a huge help. Thanks.

Setting aside Harbor Freight as a dedicated tool store, where’s the best place (or best in-house brand) to buy tools for the average hobbyist mechanic? Lowe’s? Menards? Home Depot? Is there any appreciable difference in quality or value between Craftsman, Kobalt, Masterforce or other store brands, or do you just go wherever is closest?

Anyone know of stores that have shovels and/or ice melt in stock? I walked about a mile yesterday to get to the metro and the sidewalks are abysmal but honestly after spending three hours trying to split up the ice on the sidewalk outside of my apartment it's pretty impossible to remove at this point. Ran out of salt on Monday and both shovels hit the sack this afternoon. I've called all Ace hardwares in NW and NE, and nearly all grocery stores. Have also checked Lowe's and Home Depot. Hoping someone knows of a corner store or something with a magic supply :/ Would be extra special and wonderful if this supply happens to be near Petworth ✨🤞

What does the community think is the best hardware store? I get it, most people go to the big box stores. I’m looking for a place that has excellent customer service, decent knowledge, a good selection, and competitive prices. So far I haven’t gotten all of these things from places like Lowe’s, Home Depot, harbor freight, or even Ace. I’m just looking to you all for some opinions. I prefer to shop local and somewhere that’s locally owned. So far, I haven’t had the best luck, and I want to see what people think.

If you only use it during spring cleaning, renting is much cheaper *and* you don't have to store it for the other 364 days a year. Many people own a low range EV and rent a car for road trips. Tool rental stores are available all over the place since contractors use them. Most people rent a trailer or Uhaul when they move. Obviously some people need their own tools, but if you only need them occasionally, renting is an easy way to keep clutter out of your home.

Hello! Does anyone know of anywhere getting an ice melt shipment in/ or a store that currently has ice melt? Cumberland or Salem counties. I’ve tried Vineland and Millville Walmarts, Lowe’s, and Home Depot’s. I called Bridgeton tractor supply and car quest in Elmer. Everyone is out. Open to all suggestions! Thank you for considering.

Any stores with actual ice melt left? Last week around this time I hit up all the places I see it usually - Acme on Marsh Rd., that local hardware store in Branmar, Home Depot on Naamans...best I could do was a 40lb bag of (large) salt crystals made for water softeners but that the bag said could be used to melt ice. Wasn't all that effective with the lower temps and I used most of the bag last weekend.
