Promo/Deal Milwaukee M12 3/8 Ratchet Tool 2457-21 + 1.5 Ah Battery + Charger + Tool Bag DoorDash for $103.99 + plus fees

2h ago

Hi, fellow Milwaukee fans, I was searching for videos to replace the timing belt on my car, and also checking if it makes sense to get a ratchet tool. Google showed a result from DoorDash, which was weird for me because I didn't know that Home Depot was on DoorDash. It was showing M12 Ratchet Tool 2457-20 model with 1.5 Ah Battery, M12 charger, and tool bag for $103.99. I tried to see if there were any other deals for Milwaukee tools, but couldn't even find this one, when I searched so here is the link below; [https://www.doordash.com/browse/merchants/12994397/products/202957709](https://www.doordash.com/browse/merchants/12994397/products/202957709) https://preview.redd.it/jyl8...

Match light fireplace retrofit?

4h ago

I have an old (20+ years) 24" vented ng log set that I bought from Home Depot but never installed as we decided to keep the natural wood fireplace. It's by EmberGlo (I believe). We moved and decided to convert the fireplace in the new place to gas. Had a guy come out and run the gas line (I prefer not to mess with things myself if permits are involved). But then he tried to install the log set and said that he's never seen one without a safety valve or pilot light, and doesn't think it's safe. Looking at the manual, this is essentially a very simple gas burner. Nothing more than a perforated pipe, a few connecting fasteners, and some logs. There was a pilot li...

Building Material Help.

8h ago

I will preface this with being located in GTA, CANADA. Hey all, I regularly build speakers out of MDF and work with veneer. This started the woodworking bug. FFWD a few years to today. I want to just build stuff. Desks, drawers, cabinets, etc. The thing is, MDF is abundant and cheap. Speakers I build are bookshelf size, so out of a single 4x8 mdf sheet, I can usually build 5 speaker sets, 10 total. Lots of room for screwing up or just straight-up discarding pieces. Wood, on the other hand, is not really cheap here. Home Depot is my go-to source; they don't really have anything beyond plywood with birch veneer. The Home Depot's here do not have Baltic birch. I hav...

Want to Stop ICE? Go After Its Corporate Collaborators.

8h ago

ICE can’t function without help from the private sector. So we should force the private sector to stop helping. Renee Nicole Good’s murder by an ICE agent in Minneapolis has left millions of Americans wondering how we can stop ICE from terrorizing our communities any further. There are many well-known ICE-fighting tactics that we can and should use, like protests, know-your-rights trainings, and neighborhood watches. But two recent victories show a promising, relatively underutilized path forward—one that deserves to be pursued further: We can target businesses that work with ICE. ICE relies heavily on the private sector to help carry out its Gestapo-like crusade against immigrants a...

Stores for DIY home improvements

8h ago

I'm going to put up a backsplash in my kitchen, about ten feet by two feet. Problem is that I've got no idea where to buy these tiles. I've been looking up the differences between stone, glass, tile, composite, etc, but unfortunately the only supply of these I've seen are Amazon, home Depot, and Lowes. What other options are there? Preferably places that don't have a membership subscription and high pressure sales tactics. ( My parents joined one of those about 20 years ago.) "We've shown you the goods but now you have to decide in ten minutes or these rebates go away."

Will a wood shed rot in Seattle weather?

9h ago

I am moving into a Seattle home with a small yard. I would like to put up a shed to store camping gear and gardening stuff. I did a little research and I read that high quality wood sheds are better than the plastic ones you can get from Lowes, Home Depot etc. This is the shed I'm looking at: https://storageshedshop.com/products/5-ft-x-2-5-ft-cedar-wooden-heavy-duty-lean-to-storage-shed-with-double-doors-and-modern-pent-roof-12-5-sq-ft With all the rain in Seattle, will this hold up to the weather? Attaching a photo of the ground it will go on

How to find the best cabinet supplier?

10h ago

I will be getting a full kitchen remodel in about half a year and am in the market for cabinets, and have some questions. I know nothing about cabinets unfortunately, and know nothing about how to vet cabinet suppliers. I only know that there are some local providers as well as the larger box store providers like home depot and lowes. Some questions I have are: 1. What's the difference between going with one of the local providers vs, say, contacting some national provider and ordering cabinets remotely? 2. How do I go about vetting cabinet suppliers as someone who knows nothing about cabinets? I don't necessarily need upscale cabinets. In fact, I'd probably prefer midscal...

Garage Door opener replacement

12h ago

I need a new Garage Door Motor thing that hangs at the ceiling. Is it cheaper for me to buy the parts myself (say at home depot or whatever) and then pay a handyman to do it? Someone told me it costs thousands of dollars to replace!? I thought they were under $500 at the store. Then that leaves labor?

December Reselling Recap - $1,011 profit

13h ago

Took some time to lock in the december since a few deals closed out earlier this week. For selling been sticking to fb marketplace and its been solid for me, still got 6 things sitting unsold though so maybe ill try something else for those or just find a use or gift them away. Overall profit couldve pushed higher but took the holidays off since this is just a sidehustle still and spent more time with close ones. The deal group i use was kinda slow around christmas too so less deals overall. January should be way better with all the post-holiday deals and clearance stuff dropping. If anyone interested in that specific group - [info is here](https://www.getdealsoldiers.com/) (disclaime...
