I'm taking my first road trip since my surgery a year ago, driving from about San Francisco to about San Diego. I'll be taking "the 5"(aka "Hwy 5" for the non-Californians) most of the way down. Does anyone have any pit stop location tips? When I'm out and about, I tend to look for a Home Depot because their bathrooms tend to at least be all operational, stalls are relatively plentiful, and they have a general baseline of acceptable cleanliness, which I admit is fairly low, but rarely "...eww...no, I'm not using this" level of gross. Hey everyone this morning I walked into home Depot and purchased (in store) a M18 1/2" drive impact (2967-21B) because I needed it for a job. I didn't shop around because it was a last minute purchase really. But this afternoon after showing my dad the tool on HD's website, because he now wants one, I see that what I purchased is a "Special buy" and that I could (should) have gotten a 12hr forge battery free as well. The employees who helped me didn't say anything but my question is, would they honor that deal if I went back in the morning with my receipt and asked to be given the battery I believe I should have received? Stay-at-home parents of school-aged children—what do you do all day? My spouse stays home while I work, and we have a fairly balanced division of labor. I handle paying the bills and most of the house cleaning/repairs—vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, laundry, etc. My spouse does all the grocery shopping and cooks our meals. We usually eat out on Fridays and Saturdays and have leftovers on Thursdays. They also take the kids to school, pick them up, and serve as a room parent for one of our children. I cannot afford a speed queen, my mom insists on getting a top loader with an agitator, it cannot be greater than 4.8 cu. ft., and I can only afford to spend at most $800. All of those preferences are my mom's, not mine, except for my budget. I am also looking for a washer that can last at least 4 years. I have been considering LGs because most negative reviews are concerns about water not filling and clothes not being cleaned, which implies that LG top load washers don't really breakdown. Curious of everyone’s thoughts on this topic. My local HD has this Mikita on sale in both versions. I was going to pick one up before the sale ends but can’t really make up my mind. Project Farm did a review on the slide switch version and Claire it was difficult to engage. I’ve always had a slide switch on my tools so I’m not really sure which direction to go in. Also neither of these versions are on display to try in store. Also PF did his review on a different model although the switches used are probably the same I would think. Thoughts?

I was looking for some hand tools and I’ve been getting tired of Home Depot lately so I decided to look up tool places nearby and found a sick looking hardware store. I do carpentry and it was nice to see a lot more high end brands and niche equipment. If you happen to live in the KWC area in Ontario I highly suggest checking it out. They have tons of Milwaukee, Dewalt, Bosch, Makita power tools as well as large selections for Stabila, Knipex, Wera, Tajima, Klein and others. Home Depot has it on sale in store I was able to get Lowe's to match it since there was no Home Depot close to me that have it

Home Depot has ice melt available for same day delivery (as of 1 pm on January 20). The in-store inventory in Stamford looked sketchy, and the delivery option seems to be well stocked. I hope this helps you if (like me) you are looking at the bottom of your nearly empty ice melt bucket and muttering expletives.

I'm dipping my toes into old school modeling. (Giving Lego a break) I received a Star Trek Legacy kit that has all the Enterprise class ships. My goal is to turn them into the style that you see in the Enterprise Ready Room with all of them painted gold. I know I will need some putty to help with gaps and nicks from cutting from frames. But, is there a spray primer that anyone could recommend that I could by from Lowes, Home Depot, ect? I don't have Hobby Shops where I live.

I feel like such an *****, just bought a temp clamp, listed at $71, using $34 of the store “tool bucks” that I had accumulated, thinking I was actually helping myself out buying something there instead of elsewhere. at home depot, she leaves store walking to her car, she walks and walks asking herself where did she park, and says oh yeah I parked all the way down there, and says that's great, but then u see her back at the front of the store, so she walks down the parking lot and then back up to the front of the parking lot, making people thin she is having to walk sooo far to her car, lol she literally parked at the front of the parking lot lol so why did she walk around the parking lot for 4 minutes, when her car was right at the front???? lol
