Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotIf you're not mad, you're not paying attention2h agoBeing open today and thinking about the poor fucks that have to be there so they can have 4 transactions for like $300 has me thinking. SW isn't open today to serve customers. It's open to extract money from them. On a day like today we should be closed to honor the fallen men and women that died for the United States Military Industrial Complex. Their sacrifice was nothing short of a tragedy. I can only imagine how it must feel to have had a loved one die for the enrichment of our corporate masters and to know our company is open today because we cannot have people choosing to buy paint from Home Depot. The land of the free has 20% of the world's prison population and onl... Reminder: Starting June 1st, NYC Trash Bin enforcement begins. When you and I met, I fought you like a wildcat when you would insist ‘real love’ exists and that you cared about me. I told you that I was severely unwell mentally, incapable of contributing financially because of my lifelong struggle with severe anxiety making it near impossible to go outside, and that I was not worth the effort because you would see I was never going to get better in the end. But eventually, you broke me down, and I realized that not only was I hoping you really meant it, I was in love with you in kind. At first, you did far too much for me,... I compared Shaw vs Mohawk carpet on a real install job — the showroom didn’t match reality8h agoTried comparing Shaw vs Mohawk carpet for a client job… ended up learning way more than I expected I’ve been around flooring installs for a while and always assumed the Shaw vs Mohawk debate was mostly preference + pricing. After dealing with a real-world install issue recently, I realized the differences are actually pretty mechanical once you live with the carpet for a few months. One homeowner I worked with installed Mohawk SmartStrand in one area and Shaw nylon in another around the same time. At first, the Mohawk looked better in the showroom. Softer, thicker, more “luxury” feeling underfoot. The Shaw sample honestly felt a little firmer and less impressive under store light... Anywhere in Halifax that sells Schedule 40 PVC pipes for drinking water in 3 inch diameter?15h agoI want to have some rain water collection for my garden, and working on adding in a first flush diverter system. Trying to keep all my piping parts "potable water rated", as I plan to eat the crops, and that's been easy with smaller pipes but Home Depot, Rona and the like all seem to only stock 3 and 4 inch PVC in the "sewer pipe" markings. Does anyone know of like a plumbing supply store here that may be better? "Worked" 3 hours and...15h agoToday (day before Memorial Day) was my first day trying Instacart. I already had the essentials (car, hand wagon, insulated bags), and I have 3 extremely busy grocery-centric shopping centers in my general area. I figured I would make a reasonable amount of money considering everyone is grocery shopping for Memorial Day dinners. Turns out, in order to pick up batches with refrigerated/frozen items, you have to get your insulated bags verified first. But to get your insulated bags verified, you have to do one batch in general. But to do a batch in general, that means you have to pick up a batch that doesn't have perishable groceries, and those batches are open to people who are insu... SEEDS for garden ?16h agoDoes anyone know the best brand of seeds to buy for garden vegetables? We usually buy from which ever location is easy, grocery store, home depot etc. Some years the results are terrible. Wonder if the best/better seeds would help 22-year-old trying to get into leasing/property management and looking for advice and opportunities18h agoHey everyone, I’m currently trying to break into leasing/property management roles around the Silver Spring/Montgomery County area. I’m a communications student with experience in customer service, sales, and front desk/tech support, including work at Home Depot and my college’s tech support center. I’m still early in my career, so any advice, resume feedback, networking, or opportunities would really be appreciated. I had a Big Lots vacate a shopping center I own in Jacksonville, FL. Here's the behind the scene walk through of ...20h ago# Behind the Scenes of a Vacant Big Lots: What Owners Actually Analyze After a Box Store Goes Dark I recently toured a vacant Big Lots in Jacksonville, Florida that Saglo Companies owns in the Mandarin submarket near San Jose Boulevard and Old St. Augustine Road. Instead of just looking at it as “30,000 SF vacant,” I wanted to walk through the actual thought process owners and leasing teams go through when evaluating how to reposition a former big-box space. A lot of people outside retail CRE see a dark anchor and assume it’s a disaster. In reality, the first question is usually: > This particular Big Lots had some characteristics that actually make redevelopment and re-tena... Is this container food safe?21h agoTotally didn’t think about this before I bought it. It’s the Vigoro Ordina container from Home Depot. I have serrano’s planted in it. Anyone know? Stylish homeowners of Madison, where did you get your breeze blocks?22h agoI’m in the market for some breeze blocks, but I don’t know where to get them. They don’t seem to be sold at basic stores like Home Depot and Menards. For fun, here’s a look at some of the breeze blocks of midcentury Madison houses: https://www.madisonpreservation.org/blog/2020/6/30/breeze-blocks 1/2” and 1/4” Tubing Compatibility22h agoHey folks, just wondering if anyone can confirm whether Irritec 1/2” solid and 1/4” drip poly tubing is compatible with Rainbird connectors. I believe the half-inch is not, but has anyone used emitters, goof plugs, etc. on the 1/4“? Or, have you used a Perma-Loc coupling to join Irritec (0.6”ID / 0.7”OD) and Rainbird 1/2” tubing without issue? I’m asking because in my area I can easily get Rainbird stuff at Home Depot, but getting Irritec requires ordering online from elsewhere. Trying to decide if I should go with Irritec for my second garden (already used in my first) or keep it simple and buy the local stuff. Thanks for your help in saving me a trip to the hardware store t... How’s your Memorial Day weekend going?1d agoGreetings from (checks sky) sunny Germany! It’s late Sunday morning and it’s a balmy 28C here (82F in freedom units) and I’m sitting in the backyard enjoying the weather (and a beer but that's our secret). Took my dog Toby for a walk this morning and he was an absolute butthead, but he had a blast and that’s what matters. I took him to the north side of Clay Kaserne\* where we hunted for rabbits in the tall grass, in the abandoned paintball field and among a small grove of trees. Although many rabbits were sighted, none were caught. Again. The boy dragged me through so much tall grass that the morning dew drenched me from about mid-thigh down. I wish they’d mow th... Another score at 50% off XGT at HD! (Plus tips on how to get the deal yourself)1d agoI posted yesterday about getting a GT200D drill set and the GSR01M1 rear handle circular saw for 50% off each at Home Depot since they are scaling down XGT products at most stores and figured I’d go back today to see if I missed anything. Sure enough up above the displays, at the top of the rack, in the Makita section, there were some more XGT products that showed out of stock online. I asked an employee if I could buy some of them and pointed at the ones I wanted and he brought them down. Got the GRJ01Z recipro saw and the GWT08Z impact wrench which both rang up for 50% off at the register! Just another tip that if you are looking for this stuff and knew of a store carrying XGT in the p... Mold issue1d agoI have some mold nothing to bad but it's been bothering me i just want it gone. And now I've already tried vinegar/water also tried Home Depot mold spray. Nothing seems to work and i see this on youtube. Is there anyone that tried this stuff? Thanks! Which inflator?1d agoI was looking at getting the M12 to keep in my trunk for emergencies. After seeing the M18 also hackable, I am now torn. Swinging wall mount/bracket for decorative wreaths1d agoSo I’m trying to do a garage project. We have several decorative wreaths for seasonal use. Out of season they are annoying as **** to store. I have a 6 foot gap on a wall in the garage and my vision was a rod running across and you hang them all essentially like you would in a closet. The issue comes where the biggest wreath is about 27 inches wide and at that point it sticks out far enough to be under the track of the garage door. Which could be fine unless…you’re tall enough you’d hit your head on it when you get out of your car on that side. Which is the case. So I need a swinging mount that I can hang wreaths on but also allows them to fold in a little rather than be directly per... First Day1d agoMonday will be my first day in a new store. I've been with Home Depot for five years, all in one store, mostly in Millwork. Tomorrow is my last day in the old store. I've learned a lot. I've had the privilege of working with some knowledgeable, caring, hardworking people. But it's time for a change. The new store is across town, about the same distance as the old store. It's a bigger, busier, shop than the old one. I'm trepidatious, while looking forward to new challenges and working with new people.
