I was wondering if anyone has any alternative recommendations other than Super Lube Oil to use on my Y-Axis/Linear Rods. I'm having a hard time getting some ordered/finding it in any stores near me. I live in the US and I do have Amazon. These are some stores near me, if anyone happens to know good options from them. -Lowes -Home Depot -Ace Hardware/True Value -Auto Zone -Walmart I also have looked at the Wiki, but most of the options are Grease and I've heard WD-40 isn't that great of an option. The company posted 0.3% comp growth for the year and delivered better-than-revised guidance after initially missing Q3 expectations due to the storm headwind.Key Performance Metrics MetricQ4 2026 ResultQ2 2026 ResultFull Year 2025Total Sales$38.2B (down 3.8%)$45.3B (up 4.9%)$164.7B (up 3.2%)Comp Sales+0.4%+1.0%+0.3%U.S. Comps+0.3%+1.4%+0.5%Adjusted EPS$2.72 (down 13.1%)$4.68 (u... BIFL Outdoor Umbrella14h agoOk so this probably isn’t a “for life” item, but I would like to finally invest in a big ol’outdoor umbrella. One of the larger 11 foot sizes and preferably on a cantilever so it will actually block the sun in our yard. These things are friggin expensive and I’m nervous about buying something from a big box store and immediately regretting it . Photo is from Home Depot and lists for $500. Anyone have have any specific recommendations? Or horror stories? Thanks folks. official policy on trim returns15h agoI just went into a store and for the first time they told me they would not return cut trim... for this particular return I cut them in half to fit in the truck which literally everyone does... anyways often times ill grab a piece that's about the size I need that's already cut. if they are sold in the back already cut the policy should be to return unless otherwise stated. Anyone have a written rule on this or is it just F the customer on this? I can easily go to another store to return but it's ****** annoying when stores make up random policies. Home Depot needs to make an official return policy Singing Resistance at Home Depot15h agoLast Sunday afternoon, The Singing Resistance turned a trip to Home Depot into a chorus of courage. Voices rose between the aisles with songs of freedom, dignity, and the belief that community matters. Harmonies echoed through the store, reminding anyone within earshot that protest can be peaceful, creative, and rooted in hope. Thanks for the advice on track saws a few weeks back. Going to run with powertec tracks, and the battery kit includes a 8ah forge Ordered through Home Depot via military exchange (tax free) Question regarding labor laws and unpaid leave of absence17h agoI work at Home Depot and I have been here for over a year. I need three weeks off from work in order to deal with some property out of the country. I have a week of vacation and was hoping to get a 2 week leave of absence. My store manager is refusing to do this and saying I have to resign. I let them know in December and my trip isn’t until late May. I was told by a coworker that under CT labor laws, workers are entitled to up to 2 weeks of leave unpaid. Is this true and are there better places I could go to find out this information? Second Job Questions21h agoI work a full-time job that's 10am to 6pm Sat/Sun off and thinking about trying to get a second job with home Depot. Ideally I'd work either before or after my full-time job and get weekends off still but I'd be willing to work Saturday if I have to. Is there any part time positions that would fit my schedule? I can start working as soon as 6:30pm and I couldn't work past 9:30am during the week. again ideally part time so I can get some sleep. and what is the pay range for the position? I'm in Texas. these are the positions the home Depot 8 minutes away from me has Socialization tips and general 'stay' advise for 5mo Cane Corso?21h agoPenny is doing great — she was 54 lb late last week (using the pet mode on my Wyze scale). She just graduated puppy training at Petco. I know Petco gets mixed opinions, but we like the trainer, it’s convenient for my wife’s work schedule, and it’s a busy environment which has actually been good for her. I’ve already enrolled her in another 6 sessions. We’re currently working on “stay,” and that’s been the most challenging command so far. She understands it conceptually, but duration and distractions are tough. We’re making progress, just slower than with the other basics. Any tips for building a more reliable stay? They have you, from down, take a step or two back, count... Never underestimate the power of soft skills. I owe many moves in my profession to soft skills.22h agoI've held around eight jobs between the years 2000 and today. Everything from retail, being a restaurant server, high school teacher, and now a system admin (Business Intelligence, in this case). Now, I'm just some internet stranger, so you don't have to take my word for it, but I kid you not, every one of these jobs, either during the interview, or within a week or two of starting the new job, I was told how well I speak and interview. During one of my interviews at a school district, panel of 10 people, including the Assistant Superintendent, she literally stopped the interview in the middle to say, "Can we pause here for one moment? I must say, you interview extremely ... Dude, I started this job when I first started college, and now that I'm close to the finish line, I'm having a moment of wtf am I even doing here? I work in the garden, I'm one of those unfortunate souls who know everything in the store to the point I feel like they can't live without me. It's nice in a way, I know they let me slide with more things than usual, aka calling out without sick time. I'm doing engineering, which is taking 5 years to finish, so I hope that I can last 1 more year, but like everyone else, I'm feeling it. Should I follow up after applying for Merchandising / Freight & Receiving at Home Depot?1d agoI applied for the Merchandising and Freight/Receiving positions at The Home Depot about a month ago. Before that, I called and they told me to apply online, which I did. I haven’t heard anything back yet. I also have full availability (open schedule), so I thought that might help, but still nothing. Should I call the store to follow up, or would it be better to go in person and ask about my application? This is my first time applying for a job, so I don’t want to do the wrong thing or seem annoying. If I go in person, how should I do it? Should I ask for a manager? What should I say? Any advice would really help. Thanks!
