God please lol.1h agoI have 6 years of customer service skills, I have 8 years of childcare experience at licensed centers as well and I have means of transportation. I’ve applied at all the big names like Target(again), Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s (again), Menards, McDonald’s, all the big childcare names like BFA, Primrose, Barrington School. I’ve worked for some of these places before but left for college. I was looking for really anything lol. Just anything consistent in the area. Smaller stores and shops work a little better for my anxiety but more than managing my anxiety I need out of my current living situation and need consistent work. I know some of getting a job is knowing people or talki... Posting again about high PGV solenoid failure rates2h agoI have an X2 controller on a 8 zone system. I have been replacing 5+ solenoids a year for 4 years now. The solenoids go randomly to open circuit. The controller has been swapped with 2 other controllers (I had a few spares due to Hunter's disorganized RMA process) and I have tried Hunter branded solenoids from Amazon (From the Hunter store) and Hunter brand replacements from Home Depot and Lowe's in case counterfeit material was making it into the supply chain. No off-brand material has ever been used. The connections in the valve boxes are not corroded and use waterproof marets. The controller output voltages (don't recall exactly) from all 3 controllers were consiste... Should I just keep peeling?3h agoI was painting my remodeled bathroom (high moisture area) and noticing some slight air/bubbles underneath the old paint surface. So I started peeling. There's more to do but my question is, should I just peel and scrape all the old paint off of the wall at this point? The wall material is a wire-backed cement board. And it looks like there was some spackle or mud layer put on top of the board before it was originally painted. Home depot guy just told me to prime over the edges to prevent any further bubbling but that didn't sound right to me. Online there's "peel stop" products but I haven't been able to find any in-store near me. Any suggestions would be ... Somethings are like that for a reason3h agoSince the beginning of my working life there has been one constant, I **** new management that start making changes to things before they understand the process. It just never makes sense to me. One of the first examples of this comes from college days in the early 2000s. First, i have to explain some things to give the story some context. I was working at Staples in Goleta, CA. We were a college heavy location due to our proximity to UCSB. I quickly became our load guy. I was already in good shape despite my stature (5' 7" 155lbs) but started packing on a lot of muscle. We had our shipments 3 times a week and most of it was furniture and paper. Each load was several tons of furn... Need help with a GPU bracket in my new PC.3h agoSo I just received the Corsair Vengeance a7500 and it looks like screws are missing on this bracket here in the attached picture? If so, could anyone link to an Amazon or Home depot store page for the exact screws that are supposed to go here. Like, studs with the exact width and length that will fit here. Looks like a simple allen wrench job but it's hard to tell. https://preview.redd.it/g5w65y11r5xg1.jpg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8737addb462f3175b2c818e2a075ad6e62c343bf Ysk with spring on its way, DO NOT plant Japanese barberry in your yard as it has been shown to increase ticks and Lyme ...3h agoWhy YSK: (TLDR) this common plant creates habitats that allow ticks and mice to thrive. ticks get lyme disease bacteria from feeding on mice. so these plants are helping promote and increase the prevalence of lymes disease, the plant is also invasive and bad for the ecosytems of north america. theres also a video at the end of the post that summarizes all of the following writing and even greater detail So Japanese barberry is a very common lawn decorations and is still sold at many stores like home Depot and such through the US. Super Sale7h agoManagers are supposed to work the weekend during a Super Sale. As a FT I don’t know what to do. I get a line out the door during SS. She never works a Saturday and feels that we can handle the busy store without her. That’s NOT the point. She showed us the email from DM that told her to be in the store this weekend and she’s blowing it off. Our store is near a Home Depot and we get swarmed on Saturdays by DIYers. super sale without a manager.. should I report her? NRM are now ASM?7h agoI've been with Home Depot for 4 years and I was told by an ASM that NRMs in the Midwest are ASMs. Is this true? I'm from a southwest store where an NRM is a salary but hourly like a CXM. Can somebody help me figure out why my capital one offers never work?7h agoI try both on mobile and on desktop both going through the capital one portal first When on desktop I’m using Firefox with ublock origin disabled and in regular browsing with the least strictness on cross site browsing When on mobile I’m using safari in regular browsing with no vpn or anything. The only things that work are the in-store offers, but every one that I do online is labeled as a “trip without a purchase” Most recently it was spending $25 at Home Depot to get some points and that one did not track Great Canadian Rebate9h agoThe Great Canadian Rebate website is a website that pays you cash back rebates on online purchases from stores like Walmart, Best Buy, eBay, Groupon, Expedia, HomeDepot, Indigo, SportChek, Staples, The Shopping Channel and more.
