I will keep this short as it's my first post here but I'm not sure what is happening with this company. My store had a manager go out on a much needed LOA for medical reasons and at the very end of the three months to the day they straight up told him that he was not going to be the manager of our store anymore and was going to be replaced, even though our SASM was covering incredibly well. So after the new manager coming into the store finally it's only been around a month or two and he fired the SASM today, our ASM is on an LOA and I doubt they're coming back, and I can only assuming our OPSASM is gonna walk as well. My MiL has an outside tap from 1964 which began leaking a few days ago. I managed to find a compatible mechanism at Home Depot and did a complete replacement - the tap, when closed, now holds the water back completely and no longer leaks out of the spout. Problem is, every normal, outside-use handle I can find that is _fully_ compatible with the new mechanism’s stem is really, really small. My MiL is elderly, and had difficulty turning even the original handle, which was about 25% larger in diameter than anything I can find in the store. I’m newer to vanity-specific work and have a client interested in replacing laminate tops with stone (quartz or granite) on two bathrooms, while keeping the existing sink layout. TL;DR: To achieve flatness on a concrete slab would you recommend a DIYer use self leveling compound, or a surface grinder? More details: I'm installing floating wood laminate in my home which is on a concrete slab. I worked recently as a vendor with Home Depot, but due to various aspects of compensation and other things I don't really need to get into, I decided it didn't make sense to stay at that job very long and it was time to move on. This month, I’ve discovered that Home Depots across LA have begun stocking frydeks at many of their stores, for 30 dollars a plant. Each plant comes with 1-3 but pretty poor quality soil, so they’d need a repot pretty quickly. I love dogs… I love dogs more than most people. But I can’t stand that 99% of dogs I see in stores and other businesses are clearly not service dogs (sorry Karen, that “service” collar you have on your happy little dog that just took a dump on the floor isn’t fooling anyone). Currently I think the only rule is if a worker asks if the animal is a service dog and the owner says “yes” that you have to take them on their word. That’s BS.
