Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotHyrax Brown primer substitute?4h agoIm still pretty new and not sure how much the spray cans at Lowes or Home Depot are different from brands that are designed with mini painting in mind. If I had to guess it would be the nozzle/atomizer may not be as fine? If there is no difference what is a good recommendation to replace Hyrax Brown Primer with? Id rather not spend 27 bucks for the can plus shipping and not sure if something from my local hardware store would work just as well. Making adeptus custodes minis. Lumber associates, help me out.5h agoI’ve only worked at Home Depot for about a year and I honestly enjoy working at HD for the most part. If anything pisses me off about working at HD, it’s most likely the scheduling, but we’re getting newer associates by the day and expecting more by June so im not even shook by a lot of customers coming in soon and making it busy. What’s also pissing me off is PACE bro. Like…there’s some managers who throw like 10-20 things at you throughout the day as if there aren’t customers in the store that expect you to literally help them with their whole project. And i love helping customers with their projects and speaking to them and helping them through to the best of my ability but... How far you bike for shopping using bike park paths, etc.?6h agoFrom my downtown neighbourhood, I easily use our interconnected cycling park pathways to shop in mid-Northeast to Byblos Bakery, Basha Foods, T'nT at Pacific Mall. All along the way get to Lowe's, Home Depot and Canadian Tire. Or bike further north to Italian Store on Skyline Dr. after going through little industrial area and past McKnight Blvd. For even longer fitness ride, to T'nT in Harvest Hills...for dim sum snack energy. :) All along the way, I don't see many cyclists or maybe am missing something. P Trap Leak, tried to replace washer but still leaking6h agohttps://preview.redd.it/72xb9hxjj5vg1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9d276159a1e790551b3a5edb980e02478f2f977 There is a leak underneath the bathroom sink where I marked it in the photo. Maintenance has tried 4 times to fix this leak but no prevail so I thought I would try. I bought a blue Slip joint washer because the guy at Home Depot said it would work. However, there was a red washer originally. I thought maybe I had put the washer in wrong, turned it around and still leaks. Also, tried without washer per worker in the store, still leaks. Although whenever I put the washer on, the turning thing never screws all the way down the threads. https://preview... AITA - DD Edition10h agoone of the Stripes locations in my town is getting closed down permanently, so they're slowly going out of stock on items and they will never restock. am I an ******* if I sit near the store so I get more of their orders and then go in to find out its out of stock and the cashiers claim they can't edit orders so I just have to contact support to unassign at half pay even though i really didn't do anything? i mean i did. I'm going to the store and finding out. but if I KNOW, and I accept the orders anyway...AITA? similar thing happened at Home Depot. customer tried to order air duster (i wonder why) and it was out of stock (i wonder why) so i called support and they unas... How to Replace Your AdjustaGrill Stake | DIY Guide13h ago**How to Replace Your AdjustaGrill Stake** The AdjustaGrill stake is built to last decades — solid 5/8" tapered carbon steel doesn't bend, break, or hollow out like cheaper competitors. But if you've had yours since the 90s, passed it through rocky ground a thousand times, or simply lost it on a river trip, here's exactly how to replace it. **What Size Stake Does the AdjustaGrill Use?** The original AdjustaGrill stake is 5/8" diameter solid carbon steel, tapered to a point, approximately 24" in length. The taper is what allows it to drive cleanly into hard ground without needing a mallet. If you're sourcing a replacement from a hardware store, look fo... Repotted 1 week ago, I think it was a success14h ago7 days ago, I put her in a wider, but shallower terra cotta pot from home depot with a generic store bought potting mix. I've had a few older leaves begin to slowly yellow, but nothing to indicate that it has rejected being repotted. Feeling proud of my plant! My kid got a bearded dragon, I went down the rabbit hole building this enclosure15h agoMy 9 year old got our first reptile, a bearded dragon, and I ended up going way deeper into this than I expected trying to figure out how to set things up properly. I didn’t want to just throw together a tank with some decor, I wanted something that felt more like an environment while still covering the basics. This is what I ended up building and what I learned working through it: **Structure**. Everything is built out of XPS foam. I carved and layered it into a canyon-style wall so it isn’t just flat surfaces with things placed on top. The foam is sealed with silicone, then adhered with marine PL adhesive. I used hot glue to hold pieces in place while the PL cured so I could keep wor... Favorite Home Depot Find So Far16h agoI had been patiently waiting for us to get just the standard Zebrina for over a year. After driving around to three different stores to see the new shipments, I found her 10min before closing at the last one. New to e-commerce, trying to figure out product research — I used Claude Code to mine Reddit for buyer complaints and ...19h agoI've been thinking about selling on Amazon for a while but got stuck at find a product worth selling? Every guide says "find a problem to solve." but how. I tried this approach. I used Claude Code to build an iterative research workflow that mines Reddit for real buyer complaints, not what's selling but what are people frustrated about that nobody has fixed. Here's what it found on expandable/collapsible garden hoses — a category I picked off the Best Sellers list. I'm trying to figure out if this workflow is producing useful signal or just impressive-looking noise. Would genuinely appreciate input from anyone who's been in this space. Happy to shar... Stains for stair treads19h agoLooking to put caps on stair treads which were previously carpeted.. Home Depot has option which is pre-stained (70 dollars each), or half the price which is not stained. I only need 6 right now (split level). My question is, would the pre-stained option perhaps be superior quality as it is factory processed vs doing it myself? If I were to do it myself, what would be the best stain / polyurethane for stair treads.. the product it is advertised as a “semi-gloss Nanotek ultra-wear clear finish” this is the link for the product: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stairtek-Retread-0-625-in-x-11-5-in-x-36-in-Prefinished-Gunstock-Red-Oak-No-Return-Stair-Tread-XBTRO113600250/202018676?g\_store=47... Finished my first day as a year one day one bricklayer apprentice.19h agoToday was my first day as a year one day one bricklayer apprentice. Went quite well for the tasks I was assigned to do when needed—sawing brick/block, grouting, and jointing, etc. One issue I've come across was going back and forth, grabbing tools such as my trowel, brick hammer, and barrel jointer. Can anyone recommend a belt tool pouch to hold at a minimum my hammer, utility knife, barrel jointer, and maybe a tuck pointer? Just a few items I'll be using on the regular. The supply store I got most of my tools from as an apprentice is quite far away, but I felt the need to grab a cheap leather hammer holster from Home Depot after work. DCD801 kit20h agoHome Depot. Spring Black Friday. Price 229.99. Seems extremely good. I’m in the need of a drill for automotive use, is the dcd801 any good? Suspicious21h agoCeiling fan store?21h agoMy 9mo old loves ceiling fans, we go to Costco to see the big ones and he just loves it. I took him to Home Depot but none of them actually spin, is there any stores that have a bunch of ceiling fans that actually spin? Tia DCMWP234U2 at Home Depot ….. no longer carrying it?21h agoI needed a mower for a medium sized backyard and HD website had one at $399 locally. I bought it online and then realized the only one left was on the other side of town. Double checked and sure enough the two closer stores were sold out. Since my credit card had already been charged I reluctantly drove over there. Just my luck…. they couldn’t find the one remaining in stock. They tried to sell me the $500 self propelled mower but I don’t need it for this sized yard so I was about to walk out. Manager came over and said Home Depot is no longer carrying that SKU but offered me the assembled one on display. I said “well only if it has all the stuff”. They pulled it down a... My AI assistant wants me to board up all my windows21h ago(this is a work in progress, and is my first project I'm sharing with reddit, so feedback/suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!) **March 12, 2025** First post on a new blog, no pressure, lol. My name is Michael, I’ve just begun my 33rd year of life, and the beginning of my new year has finally lit a match under my *** that made me want to get up and try to make some positive change in my life. After a pretty heated spat with my parents, I very hastily took my little (beloved) rat dog Oreo and my three hermit crabs Rhaegal, Viserion, and Drogon (amazing names, I know) to a trailer near a retirement community. As I’m sure you can imagine, there’s not much going on around her... my AI assistant wants me to board up all my windows21h ago**March 12, 2025** First post on a new blog, no pressure, lol. First round of price cuts at Home Depots clearing out XGT tools23h agoThe first round of clearance prices have hit many stores. Note clearance prices **do** vary by store and not all HDs are clearing out XGT. Feeling lost shopping for flooring in Toronto — visited Home Depot and a few independents, big price difference but no...1d agoStarting a main floor renovation in our house in Scarborough. About 800 sqft total. Went to Home Depot first just to get a baseline — felt overwhelmed, sales person wasn't very helpful, prices seemed high for what I was looking at. Then visited a couple of independent flooring stores and the prices were noticeably lower but I don't recognize any of the brand names. Is it sketchy to buy flooring from a brand I've never heard of? How do I even compare quality between stores? Feel like I'm missing something obvious here.
