7 days ago, I put her in a wider, but shallower terra cotta pot from home depot with a generic store bought potting mix. I've had a few older leaves begin to slowly yellow, but nothing to indicate that it has rejected being repotted. Feeling proud of my plant!

Looking to put caps on stair treads which were previously carpeted.. Home Depot has option which is pre-stained (70 dollars each), or half the price which is not stained. I only need 6 right now (split level). My question is, would the pre-stained option perhaps be superior quality as it is factory processed vs doing it myself? Today was my first day as a year one day one bricklayer apprentice. Went quite well for the tasks I was assigned to do when needed—sawing brick/block, grouting, and jointing, etc. One issue I've come across was going back and forth, grabbing tools such as my trowel, brick hammer, and barrel jointer. Can anyone recommend a belt tool pouch to hold at a minimum my hammer, utility knife, barrel jointer, and maybe a tuck pointer? Just a few items I'll be using on the regular. The supply store I got most of my tools from as an apprentice is quite far away, but I felt the need to grab a cheap leather hammer holster from Home Depot after work.

Starting a main floor renovation in our house in Scarborough. About 800 sqft total. Went to Home Depot first just to get a baseline — felt overwhelmed, sales person wasn't very helpful, prices seemed high for what I was looking at. Then visited a couple of independent flooring stores and the prices were noticeably lower but I don't recognize any of the brand names. Is it sketchy to buy flooring from a brand I've never heard of? How do I even compare quality between stores? Feel like I'm missing something obvious here.

We're thinking of replacing our carpet to vinyl plank for the whole house and was wondering if it's ok to buy the planks in batches from somewhere like menards or home depot. If we bought the whole amount we needed, it would be quite a bit and was hoping to take it one room at a time. Is there anything wrong with this approach? Was mostly worried if we needed more of the same flooring, the store would no longer carry the brand/type of floor we started with.

Hello, newbie here! The question is in the title. I tried searching online for the answer, but still couldn't come up with an answer for what type of wood this is. The color isn't light/pale yellow but almost a very faint reddish brown hue. This was acquired from a community shop where people leave their project scraps for anyone to use if they need it. I dont know who left it so I can't ask, and the one person I did ask said it could be pine but they weren't sure, which is why I've come here to see if anyone else could provide insight. Hey all - I am a new homeowner and looking to do some basement Reno’s. I have an exposed basement ceiling and am looking to paint the ceiling matte black. I assume renting a sprayer is the way to go. Home Depot offers the following unit. Is this the right tool for the job? It appears you just plug this into the wall.. am I correct? Hi all, I am in the market for a standing desk and currently looking at Uplift. I have had a Uplift V2 for 6 years and absolutely love it. However, my wife needs a standing desk for herself and she is going to take mine and I am going to buy a new one. Additionally, I am planning on purchasing just the frame and add my own 60x30 desktop from Home Depot (or some other hardware store). I really prefer the look and feel of real wood.
