When I worked construction my boss had a list of items to buy at Harbor freight and items to not to buy. I remember solid base tools like pry bars were a BUY because there wasn’t a need to buy a Dewalt pry bar at Home Depot. I forgot what else was on the list….. I really wish I kept it. I would ask him but he died a few years ago because of asbestos related complications. Any ideas what else might be in the BUY AT HF list, that there is no need to buy at other stores?

What do you guys think of this deal or should I wait for a better deal? I have a 1/2 impact wrench but need a smaller compact 3/8 for tighter spaces.

I bought my M9A4 used (very first gun actually!), and it had all the important stuff included but no spare O-rings for the threaded barrel. I shot it for the first time today and found the installed O-ring is a bit too old: the thread protector kept getting loose after 20-30 rounds fired. Any place to order a set of replacements? I see they're sold out on Beretta's site and a couple other places online. For me, I'm looking for a 72" x 30" butcher block finished kitchen countertop. I looked at IKEA and Home Depot and when I read the reviews, the countertops were either poor quality or weren't actually finished. Meaning, you still had to do things like sanding or applying polyurethane. Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can buy a kitchen countertop that meets my criteria? Good quality countertops that are actually finished (ready to use).

Took some time to lock in the december since a few deals closed out earlier this week. For selling been sticking to fb marketplace and its been solid for me, still got 6 things sitting unsold though so maybe ill try something else for those or just find a use or gift them away. Overall profit couldve pushed higher but took the holidays off since this is just a sidehustle still and spent more time with close ones. I’ve done the research and still somehow bare-assed myself trying to recycle fluorescent tubes. Lowe’s: “Sure, no problem.” I arrive with them and suddenly it’s “no, no, no — bulbs only, not tubes.” Home Depot acted like I was delivering a dirty bomb. The web says both stores take them, but maybe that info is a decade old. My town’s municipal site is a complete mess and not helpful at all. I feel attached to it, which makes it hard to separate from (Can’t sell. Can’t destroy.) This method is something you can try if you’re attached to a device but need separation. I have an old (20+ years) 24" vented ng log set that I bought from Home Depot but never installed as we decided to keep the natural wood fireplace. It's by EmberGlo (I believe). We moved and decided to convert the fireplace in the new place to gas. Had a guy come out and run the gas line (I prefer not to mess with things myself if permits are involved). But then he tried to install the log set and said that he's never seen one without a safety valve or pilot light, and doesn't think it's safe.
