Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home Depotneed advice on a freezer, reviews are terrible everywhere1h agoI’ve been planning to buy a freezer, but honestly the reviews have me second guessing everything. I’m not even talking about the super budget options from sites like Alibaba, Amazon, or eBay even well known brands like Frigidaire, GE, Maytag, Hisense, and Samsung seem to have some pretty alarming feedback. Many people are reporting the same problems. For example, I’ve seen multiple GE users say the compressor failed within months and leaked oil everywhere. Samsung owners mention units randomly switching from freezer to fridge mode. There are also quite a few complaints about warranty support being difficult or unhelpful. My 100% offline Stocard alternative just got your most requested features.5h agoA few weeks ago, I shared my tiny, privacy-first loyalty card wallet here. The support from this community has been absolutely incredible, and it's amazing to see so many "Stocard refugees" valuing a simple app without forced accounts or data tracking. I’ve spent the last few weeks reading through every single comment and request, and I just released a new update (Version 1.2) addressing the exact things you asked for the most: * **Local Backup & Restore:** Since there is no cloud sync (to keep your data strictly on-device and 100% private), many of you asked how to safely transfer cards to a new phone. You can now export your entire wallet as a local file and impo... Wife and I looking for light colored, hardwood shelves that are 60 to 72 inches long, and 15 inches deep. Ideally 1 to 2...12h agoSo, we want to hang a really sturdy, robust shelf above our bed for a couple of large pothos plants. it's needs to be able to hold weight when the plants have been watered, and needs to be deep enough to be wider than the 12 inch pots. 15 inches deep would be great, floating shelves preferred, but large brackets are fine and may be the way to go with something that robust. brackets aren't hard to find... but home depot, Lowes, Tracyor supply, etc don't seem to carry shelves with these dimensions. Should we just get a certain type of wood custom cut at one of these stores? Or is there some cool seller out there that makes them? dont wanna spend a fortune, but anything more tha... Need advice on first riding mower15h agoHey all, Just bought a property that’s about a full acre including the house. Looking to buy a riding mower of some type but would like some guidance. Don’t really want to buy from a box store but also want to make sure I get a fabricated deck and a mower that I can do the “common” maintenance on myself. As of now I’m looking at the following: 2026 Gravely ZT 42 - 18hp Kawasaki FR600V, w/42" Fabricated Deck - local dealer sale CubCadet Ultima Z2 42 OR 50. Both with Kawasaki engines and fabricated decks. Both of these are at Home Depot (would rather purchase from a dealer for service reasons, but the prices are attractive and they seem to have great ratings) Looked into J... Anyone in Albany in need of a DSP?15h agoHi! My name is Dominic, I am 21 and have been a DSP (Direct Support Professional, I help individuals with developmental and intellectual dissabilites become more independant in their day to day lives) for the past 3 years, and I am in quite desperate need of a job. I have been living on my own since june of last year, and have had an insanely unlucky time getting a job in Albany. My main work experience is as a DSP, with some fast food, retail, and restaraunt experience. I am a very sociable extroverted person who always thrives In an environment that allows frequent human interaction, whether its just being a cashier and being able to have those single serving interactions, but being a DSP ... Free Buckets and Boxes from grocery store16h agoHi everyone :) I saw a post about the usefulness of a Home Depot or Lowe’s bucket, and it reminded me of something I had wanted to post for a while. I work at Publix in the bakery (grocery store in the Southeast), and we get our cream cheese, fudge, and other things in plastic buckets. when we’re done, the buckets go in the trash. Over my 15 years I’m sure MILLIONS of buckets have gone into the trash company wide. At a few stores I’ve been asked for them by customers, and I have always obliged. Cream cheese buckets are pretty big(maybe 5 gallon? unsure), so are whipped topping buckets. Fudge buckets are smaller (maybe 3 gallon), and dulce de leche buckets are even smaller. All com... Barrel grip jigsaw16h agobarrel grip hack. send it or wait for father's day in hopes of a cheap 150 pack with battery Liquidation pallets and sourcing merchandise?17h agoI've been thinking about starting a business selling merchandise online. I have some cash im willing to put down to get started but the biggest road block I'm seeing right now is sourcing merchandise. My plan is to get a large storage unit to store my merchandise. I would set up a little pack station and photography table for posting my merchandise online. I would need an old van to transport my boxes as well. The main things I want to sell is power tools, electronics, and maybe car parts. All things I understand well, can fix myself, and I know the value of. As for sourcing the merchandise, the best deals seem to be liquidation pallets from lowes, bestbuy, home depot, etc. I&... 4th post: temporary fix for a ‘burnt’ starter cable, and mistakes I have made18h agoName is 4-3/0 AWG Copper Offset Mechanical Lug (2-Pack), $8.98 at Home Depot in store. No crimping required, it’s a temporary fix, good enough to get me out of the ‘stranded situation’ quickly. I also saw a 6 AWG to 4/0 AWG Dual Rated Splicer, which can ‘connect’ two cables. In the case the original cable is too short needs an extension. ————————— It’s a 2/0 awg cable, don’t waste money on small lugs. I did found some 4/0, 3/0, 2/0 lugs at tractor supply‘s welding section, they are straight not 90 degree ones. I’m sure welding shops would have large sized lugs too. ————————— Mistakes I made: I shouldn’t have cut the ’burnt‘ e... Well, my Pro 22 caught fire.18h agoDisclaimer: Before I start, just know that I take very good care of this grill and just cleaned it 2 weeks ago after I smoked a Boston Butt. I remove my pellets when stored and keep as much dust out of the hoper as possible after removing the pellets. Pellets are stored in an airtight container when not in use. I was smoking some 321 Ribs this morning, ran the smoker for the first 3hrs (180 deg). Turned it up to 250 deg while I went upstairs to tinfoil and add the honey/brown sugar/apple juice. Came back downstairs and checked it and it was running at 250 no issues. Checked it about 3 times over the next 1.5 hours still running. My timer goes off and i co check the meat and get ready to un... Time management - is it controlling or is it common courtesy?19h agoIf I say ‘I’m going to get gas’ and then stop to grab coffee, get the car washed, and stop by the grocery store I feel like it’s appropriate to update my spouse if they were just expecting me to go grab gas. I’ve communicated this to my husband so many times. He’ll say ‘I’m going to Home Depot.’ And be gone for 3+ hours without checking in or answering his phone. ‘Home depot’ turns into car wash, hair cut, gas station, etc etc. I will specifically \*ask\* ‘are you going anywhere else?’ Because I’m trying to manage time. We have a 1.5 year old and a 4 yo and if he’s leaving on the weekend, I’d like to know approximately how long to expect so I can plan out t... Building small fire pit area, can’t find crushed gravel19h agoI’m doing a small 5x7 gravel fire pit area in my backyard. This is my first time doing a project like this, and so far I’ve dug out the spot, leveled and tampered it, and added weed barrier…but I cannot find any crushed gravel. I thought the big box stores like Home Depot would have it, but I can’t find it. My local landscaper sells it but they only deliver by the truck and I don’t need that much. All I want to do is put down 9 12x12 concrete pavers and fill in the rest with decorative gravel, and sit my 36” fire pit on it. I’m in the PNW so it rains a lot, therefore I want to be careful with drainage. I read that skipping crushed gravel and using sand is a possibility, but I d... Carports in Victoria useful?19h agoHey there, I am researching different options for carports - from $400 polyethylene versions to $7000 wood structures. How valuable are carports in Victoria when we don’t get much snow or ice or hail? Some reviews of the cheaper version said how they just fall down in wind and I know we get a few solid wind storms every year. The higher-end $1000+ structures from Home Depot don’t have walls so is that still useful to keep out the elements? Also, if I get one with walls and store my bike and the related equipment in there, then the whole front end of my car will stick out, so does that diminish the point of it? I am tired of buying cheap versions of things only had to have them break... Can anyone here help me figure out the difference between these three bathroom vanities?21h agoWe're shopping for a new bathroom vanity, and I came across three that for the life of me, look exactly the same, even though they claim to be different. First is the Benton Collection white "Fiesta" on Home Depot; says it's 31. 5 inches wide. Second is on Wayfair, the Astoria Grand "Antique Style Old Timer Classic White Ellenton," 30 inches wide. It uses the *exact same photo* as the one on Home Depot, down to the plant sitting on the sink. Third is on Bed Bath and Beyond, the 33 inches wide white "Unique Classic Benson" (as opposed to Benton), which again, looks exactly the same. Is it possible the vanities are in fact different, but use the same... Plumbing supply vs Big box ?21h agoI've heard that faucets, etc. are better purchased from a Plumbing Supply than Big Box. So I recently purchased a Delta faucet from a Plumbing supply store, the price being much higher than Big Box, but I was OK with that knowing that the internals are better quality. But - the matching towel rack also has a great difference in price!! I get that a faucet would have metal vs plastic internal parts, but I don't see how a towel rack would differ so much. Is there an actual difference? Here the same towel rack Ferguson $59.92 [Delta 73824 Lahara 24" Towel Bar | Ferguson Home](https://www.fergusonhome.com/product/summary/321503?uid=451346&utm_source=google&... Recall?21h agoJust went in store to buy this and they said there was a stop sale due to recall. I can still buy it online and pick it up in store if I wanted to though. Can’t find anything on their website about the recall, should I try another Home Depot Pre-StreetEasy Exclusive!
