Hi all, I just rented a unit at Public Storage (USA) today and was required to buy their lock for $21.99. It doesn’t seem worth the price, but they said it’s the lock that fits their units. There’s a spot that looks like it could fit a regular padlock, but the employee said that part is for management use (like if someone doesn’t pay rent). She also said I don’t have to keep their cylinder lock and can return it within 30 days, but that regular or disc padlocks aren’t allowed.
