I'm in Toronto, Canada and this is my first time hiring an electrician so I just want to check if everything sounds normal. The contractor quoted me $380 CAD for removing and replacing 10 flushmount fixtures. I agreed because it seemed cheap but after checking the price that RONA would charge for the same job which is $1,450 CAD ($145 per fixture), I'm a little concerned with the discrepancy. The contractor said one of his guys who is a Master Electrician would come by to do it. Did the contractor underprice by a lot or is RONA just charging way above market? Hey guys! So I posted on my local FB group asking for recommendations on local nurseries, as opposed to the big box stores, to get a few hanging baskets. XL was just starting at 15 last month

I purchased a large pre-assembled cabinet from Ikea, and they use Dolly by Taskrabbit for deliveries. I've rescheduled the delivery \~5 times now as the delivery window expires without them able to find a driver to fulfill the delivery. Is there an alternative that people use which is more active and/or beneficial to the drivers (I assume the 2 go together)? It's only a 10 minute drive from the store, but I do not have a truck or another person to help lift this heavy cabinet, otherwise I'd just go rent a truck from Home Depot or something.

Hi everyone so my uncle wants some led strips controlled by a light switch in his kitchen I’ve being watching videos that you required a small transformer 12v or 24v I’m not sure which to use and which led strips to buy from Home Depot if anyone could help me by sending me a link I would be really thankful but. So, we want to hang a really sturdy, robust shelf above our bed for a couple of large pothos plants. it's needs to be able to hold weight when the plants have been watered, and needs to be deep enough to be wider than the 12 inch pots. 15 inches deep would be great, floating shelves preferred, but large brackets are fine and may be the way to go with something that robust. brackets aren't hard to find... but home depot, Lowes, Tracyor supply, etc don't seem to carry shelves with these dimensions.
