My husband and I recently bought and have been renovating our new family home. The main floor’s small bathroom previously had a concrete shower pad that we took out to replace. Come to find that the room is an odd size, because of course it is.. wall to wall for length of shower is 52 inches and the width of shower we’re looking at is 32 to fit everything else comfortably in there. Home Depot sent me a delivery delay notification, then told me on the phone the delivery was **never delayed**. Should have been here Wednesday. Today is Saturday. If you had about $4k in gift cards that fell off a truck, and needed to be spent at Home Depot or Lowe’s, what would you do… theoretically of course. I don’t need any new appliances or tools. I’m handy, but time constrained for big projects. I would love to remodel our kitchen or main bath, but those would be out of budget. our shed is falling down, but that would also be out of budget unless I just buy lumber Is there anything at a big box store that’s actually worth it? Should I just start tackling every little project I have? We have consulted with designers at Hammond Lumber and Home Depot, which quoted half the price of Hammond. Does everything else have to be "custom"? We'd like to hire someone to demo and dispose of current kitchen, measure, and install cabinets, sink, quartz counter. I hear Home Depot contracts to the lowest bidder, which sounds risky in terms of fixing any issues. Are there local contractors or stores with installers that aren't necessarily custom cabinets? Also our HOA requires us to submit proof of the installer's insurance before they approve any work.

Living with several adults in a small home can be challenging when it comes to sleeping space. I am curious if anyone here uses adult bunk beds to save room. If you do, where did you get them? Did you order online from places like Amazon, AliExpress, Alibaba, or eBay, or did you buy in store from shops such as IKEA or Home Depot? I am trying to find a practical and sturdy option that works for grown adults, not just kids. I would really appreciate advice, recommendations, or things to watch out for before buying.

Hey all. Moved into a new place and thinking of replacing the bathroom exhaust fan... current one sounds like a jet engine and barely clears steam lol. I can install it myself, just haven’t really picked one before. Home Depot? Amazon? Supply store? Or stick with a known brand? I understand that a lot of the "open" positions aren't actually open, but I remember when I applied to multiple stores near me, only one got back to me and it was pretty much instantly. I've worked there a while and like it, so I don't see a glaring reason why people quit. I think it's an average sized store with good managers, so the only reason I can think of is that the ASDS is on top of the applications?

I’m 17 and have been putting in applications everywhere lately, and even calling stores to follow up. Most of the time they just say they’ll let the manager know or get back to me, but they never do. I’ve had five interviews so far: three at fast food places, one at a local smoothie shop, and one at Home Depot. I called each of them a few days after for a follow-up and still got nothing, just the same “we’ll be in touch” response. First post here, but I wanted to share as I couldn't find many similar examples online. Most water bottle caps (and Sawyer filters) use a standard 28mm thread. With some simple hardware store (or Amazon) plumbing fittings you can make almost any container into a simple water bladder. The tubing standard for water bladders is 1/4 ID x 3/8 OD vinyl or silicone tubing, which is also available at Home Depot. I'm using this for bikepacking, where I'll want my water weight to be low so I'll need a looooong straw to reach up to where I'll be sitting on the bike. I have 6 years of customer service skills, I have 8 years of childcare experience at licensed centers as well and I have means of transportation. I’ve applied at all the big names like Target(again), Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s (again), Menards, McDonald’s, all the big childcare names like BFA, Primrose, Barrington School.
