Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotOn The Right Track?16m agoHello, i've been lurking here for a while and learning a lot about orchid care as a result. I even got my phal to rebloom after 4 years of not much change. I bought what I think is a cattleya orchid 4" plug from home depot 2 months ago. At 1st it appeared happy but most of its roots were mushy(i chopped those off immediately)and the green ones fell off after i placed it in an orchid pot in chunky orchid mix. Now it is in an ICU setup which is pictured below, and has been there for many weeks. It has new roots but i'm worried bc the leaves are getting wrinklier than ever... am I on the right track with its rehabilitation and do you think it will sprout enough roots to go on liv... Weber Q1400 Electric Grill - Discontinued?54m agoHello! Does anyone know if the Weber Q1400 electric grill is discontinued for good? I been wanting one for my apartment balcony but for whatever reason it's been difficult of trying to purchase one from any of the big box stores (Lowes, home depot, Ace, Amazon et). It doesn't even look like Weber have it available for sale online. Do we know it's discontinued for good? I hope not after reading many positive reviews about it. Hey guys 😊1h agoHey guys 😊 I’m new here I just wanted to come and share some builds I’m currently working on for my hyper realistic modern city core island and maybe make some friends to play with! Hopefully these will inspire some of you for your islands and I’d love to hear what you think! Dream address coming very soon don’t worry 😉 \*a little info on these builds - I **** the preset base game buildings (nooks, able sisters, ect.) so I’ve done everything possible to disguise them. The Amazon warehouse hides the campsite, I turned able sisters into a Joann fabrics, nooks into a liquor store and then a couple of the other shop builds are hiding villager houses that I’m currently working ... Transfer Department2h agoI am new to HomeDepot and a part time on MET, I just saw and applied for the asset protection for my store ( I have prior law enforcement experience) has anyone had experience with if they even move new people? “Buy 3 Get 3 Free” = Just Pay for 6 Upfront4h agoWalk into Lowe’s and you will see deals like: “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” on garden soil. Sounds great until you actually look at the pricing. If one bag is priced around $2.29, you are paying for all 6 bags upfront. The “free” part is already built into the price. Now compare that with The Home Depot selling similar soil for around $2.00 per bag without any promotion. So the math looks like this: • Lowe’s: 6 bags × $2.29 ≈ $13.74 • Home Depot: 6 bags × $2.00 = $12.00 No “deal.” Just different pricing. What’s actually happening: • The unit price is adjusted higher • The promotion makes it feel like a bulk win • You are encouraged to buy more than y... Remodeling Gardens to harden properties in Very High Fire Danger Area (VHFHSZ)4h agoBeing that I live in a very high fire danger area in Southern California, I found out about these zones 0, 1 and 2 last year and I have been remodeling my garden ever since. I'm hardening my garden and home, hoping that I can continue to keep my home owners insurance. I'm not quite done but I have worked really hard to get my yard and home into what is recommended. For Zone 0, I have based it mostly on the science rather than what they are going to implement in a few months. I have garden gates and a shed that don't meet the original zone 0 discussion. With the new rules, I will probably still need to get rid of my shed because I don't have another location to put it on m... [NV]New property not up to par5h agoUpdate: I spiraled a little guys, I was overwhelmed. I should have checked the property better before agreeing to rent. I’m hopeful my landlord will be reasonable. In the meantime I’ll just clean. I found expandable screens at home depot and I’ll work on airing the property out to get the awful smell. Everything is fixable I guess and I’ll just take this as a learning experience. received the keys to my new property a few days ago, but it’s in a terrible state. The appliances and bathroom are filthy. There’s a strong fragrance coming from the AC unit that’s triggering migraines and causing my eyes to water. I can’t open any windows because none of them have screens, whi... Amazon haters just don't get it6h agoIts pretty popular here on Reddit for people to **** on Amazon. I'm betting these people are mostly city folks that have everything they need within a few blocks of home, and such a small living space that they really don't need much anyway. Not so for us rural people. Corporate and supplier consolidation here in the US has left us with few choices, and Amazon is your best bet when you need things you just can't get at Wal-mart. Wal-Mart used to offer a lot of choice, but competition for shelf space has reduced that to just one on many items. Wal-mart was the last innovation in retail, bringing low prices virtually everywhere. But it came at the expense of thousands of s... Creature voting for Home Depot apron/uniform!7h agoHello guys! I work at Home Depot and love decorating my apron. I will be choosing the most commented creature to be added to my Offical store uniform and paint it on! I will show wips and the fully finished apron when it’s done. My first pick was Kora but I’d be willing to do the creature people love the most. Please leave a comment of what creature you would like to see on my uniform. I’ll let this go for four days and draw a few sketches of the top creatures and at the end of the week I will choose the top creature and paint it on my apron. Please leave your favorite below! The mall didn't die because of Amazon. It died because of a lease clause. And mid-size towns got screwed twice.8h ago**The mall didn't die because of Amazon. It died because of a lease clause. And mid-size towns got screwed twice.** Everyone has the story wrong. Ask people why malls died and you get the same three answers: Amazon, COVID, and "people just stopped going." Those things all happened. But a lot of our local malls closed in the 1990s. Amazon was a bookstore. COVID was thirty years away. Something else killed them first. Here's what actually happened, and why the nostalgia you feel for your mid-size town's mall is about something more than the Auntie Anne's pretzel smell. **The numbers don't match the story** The U.S. had roughly 25,000 malls of all sizes i... Brands and New hire schedule9h ago Hi, I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to follow up after orientation yesterday (Saturday) with a couple of questions. I’m currently working part-time (Seasonal) as an overnight Freight Associate with The Home Depot on weekends, and I also have a separate part-time daytime position during the week as an entry-level pharmacy technician. I just received my schedule later that evening, and I noticed that my upcoming shifts are on Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 7 PM. When I accepted the position, it was for overnight weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday, 9 PM–5 AM Part Time Nothing saying seasonal until my contingent and partial ointerview), so I wanted to check if these ... What would you put on this wall17h agoWhat would you put on this wall? Some options we thought of included: * Large family canvas photo on the wall? However don't really have one we like and neither of us are at a weight we are happy with and unsure we want that displayed on the wall * One of those sideboard cabinet type things with cabinet doors? Thought it might be nice to be able to fold up the blankets that are normally on the couch and actually have a spot to put them where they don't look like they are just always thrown around the living room? * Storage Ottoman? I like the thought of them for a little extra cushion seating when having people for holidays... and could still store the blankets in them as they w... Not bad!19h agoI always insta decline home depot orders but I took the risk with this one and it was easy af was in out of the store in like a minute. Repost (with pics): Replaced kitchen sink and faucet, need help finding an adapter for cold water supply19h agoI didnt think pics would be necessary but seems they would be helpful. I'm just trying to get a feel on how difficult this is going to be because I have scoured the internet for hours and I can't find what I need Essentially, my first time DIY sink + faucet replacement was going great. I connected the hot water hose to the hot water supply, no problem. Then when I tried to connect the cold water hose to the corresponding supply, it didn't fit. Hardly know anything about plumbing, but I figured there would be some sort of adapter to help me out. I went to home depot and got a 1/2 in. female OD x 3/8 in. male OD compression adapter, among a pvc cutter that I also had to jerry ... NEVER Buy an appliance from Home Depot !20h agoWe recently purchased an LG washer and Dryer set from the Home Depot on Ellesmere Road in Toronto. We wanted an GE Profile which has features such as “Deep Fill” for the water level, but were told this model is not available in Canada. We were sold an LG set Model WT 6105 CM as being equivalent. It certainly is NOT ! While the settings include “Deep Fill” it only allows a corresponding setting of “Deep Wash” (NOT “Normal” or “Delicate”, etc.). There IS no SOAKING feature. After we ruined a large load of delicate items which turned into rags, we were explained to NEVER use “Deep Wash” as this setting is VERY abrasive and intended for the washing of construction clo... Where do you Plant Shop?21h agoHome Depot & Lowe’s have been bringing in some fire plants for Mother’s Day! Menards also has bigger plants too! What’s your go to plant store? Preferred big box? I like Lowe’s clearance but HD’s variety. Rolling Ridge in Webster Groves & Creekside in Collinsville are some of my favorite places to shop in MO/IL Any good alternatives to the HDX heavy duty caulk gun?22h agoAfter my old HDX 9 inch heavy duty caulk gun disappeared, I've been trying to find the model online, but it seems that on home Depot they been out of stock for a while and on other stores I can only find the ****** stamped steel version instead. Are they discontinued? If so what's the best alternative for it? It's the only one I had where it had both softness and long travel per squeeze, unlike the husky ones where it barely put out a couple of inches per squeeze, or those stamped ones where they were so hard to squeeze that the frame would bend after a couple of weeks of use. I use them for many types of caulk and glue at work, but mostly for Silkaflex 221 Grey/White. Came across this, it was posted to Reddit 9 years ago, so I'm sure there's so many more to add but.. it's...22h agoBlocking noise from neighbor - any advice on this project? See image.
