Looking for some advice from people who’ve dealt with railing replacements before. I’ve got basement stairs in my house and the railing down there is starting to feel a bit past its best. It’s still usable, but it doesn’t feel as solid as it should. A few spots are slightly wobbly and there’s some rust starting to show, so I’m starting to think I should probably deal with it before it becomes a safety issue. What I’m unsure about is what the normal approach is here. We purchased a Fall Fiesta sugar maple from our local Ace. We do not ever get sugar maples for sale in my area at the nurseries or big box stores for whatever reason and I got awfully excited when I saw it and just impulse bought it for more than I ever usually spend on trees. It looked perfectly healthy when I bought it but the top half of the tree never leafed out. Well our Ace Hardware is not like Walmart or Home Depot and has 0 garauntees/no store policy on plant returns. I talked to the manager and he did indicate if it completely died to just let him know. Hello, we need to replace a rotten external door. We have some experience with home depot, and things have really fallen off a cliff there in terms of workers leaving and service. Rather than going to one of the big box stores, does anyone know of good local options for doors? We don't want anything fancy and don't want to spend a fortune.

I’m using an 80W CO2 laser and have been using big box store (Home Depot) plywood. It cuts fine for the most part but I find the glues in the wood leave a residue on the laser head, but also the cut edges are covered in soot. I’ve seen other peoples cuts that look super clean, is there a secret sauce to achieving this?

Installed a new vanity and the different sink set-up has the line off the wall about 3/8" off center from the center of the p-trap to the left. In the picture you can see a small amount of flex in the pipe attaching to the wall. I have no leaks, but worried over time the flex could compromise the pipe. I was thinking of maybe adding two 45deg offset to bring the pipe over more. But when at my Home Depot (small layout version) I could not find one that would attach to the pipe coming out of the wall and to another 45deg. Am I looking for something that is not out there? I bought the classic desk setup: a LAGKAPTEN tabletop, an ALEX drawer unit, and 2 ADILS legs. Thought I was all set. Spoiler: I wasn't. After unboxing everything, I realized nothing actually connects the tabletop to the ALEX drawer. The legs screw into the top fine, but the drawer unit? Just sits there. No pre-drilled holes, no brackets, no screws. So I hopped on IKEA chat support. The agent's response? "You need to buy L-brackets and screws from your local Home Depot. IKEA doesn't sell them." Hey guys, I recently became a DS at my store, been with the company for little over a year. Right before I got moved to DS, I got into an argument with another associate and some cuss words were said. I was put on a final for respect considering I’m a “new leader” in the building. I’m really planning on climbing the ranks at Home Depot and hoping to work my way up to store manager one day. Will I be looked over for a promotion if I have a final for respect on my record?
