Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotDoor Dash gift card gift card store codes for 6x on Citi Nights1h agoI ran a test transaction buying a $5 Home Depot gift card on Door Dash during Citi Nights (5pm Friday to 5am CST on Friday/Saturday nights on certain cards) and it coded for 6x on the Citi Strata Elite This is great as you can often get some nicely discounted e-gift cards on Door Dash. While not shocked door dash codes for the accelerator I was curious since it transacts as Door Dash gift cards. Help finding grip panel screws!7h agoThe knife shown above was my go-to work knife until I lost it. I ended up buying some random cheaper 3-Pack Husky boxcutters until I finally found it again. I'll spare the details, but it's lost two of its grip panel screws-- one on either side. Can anyone help me ID the screws required for these panels (i.e size, where to buy?) I don't wanna take the lazy route and just buy another one from Home Depot. It seems like such a waste. Is Lowe's dusty?8h agoI work at Home Depot in the receiving department and the place is filthy. You drop one thing on the ground and a cloud of dust gets blown up into the air. I often carry a mask with me to protect myself. Genuinely not great. I've heard Lowe's is a lot cleaner, and any time I walk through Lowe's it looks like the store gets more care. Is it actually better? Is this price for removing and replacing 10 light fixtures suspiciously low?10h agoI'm in Toronto, Canada and this is my first time hiring an electrician so I just want to check if everything sounds normal. The contractor quoted me $380 CAD for removing and replacing 10 flushmount fixtures. I agreed because it seemed cheap but after checking the price that RONA would charge for the same job which is $1,450 CAD ($145 per fixture), I'm a little concerned with the discrepancy. The contractor said one of his guys who is a Master Electrician would come by to do it. Did the contractor underprice by a lot or is RONA just charging way above market? Happy to get the work done cheap but I'm a bit worried. Appreciate any feedback. EDIT: For non-Canadians, RONA is o... Hanging plants - are they cheap looking, trashy?14h agoHey guys! So I posted on my local FB group asking for recommendations on local nurseries, as opposed to the big box stores, to get a few hanging baskets. I remember my mom putting them around the porch as a kid, so I thought I'd grab a few in her memory, etc. So I got a ton of nice replies, and them some clown said: "I could recommend a couple of great ones, but I would rather not subject them to retail buyers looking for hanging baskets. Lowes or Home Depot are probably in your 401K. Just go there." WHT? Is there a stigma about hanging baskets that I'm not aware of? Are they considered trashy or tacky? I'm honestly asking because I've seen them everywhere from ... “but its not used for that.”14h agowhen i go to the store with people and they ask why i need something and then they say thats not what its for. dude, sorry i didn't know there were rules to what we are allowed to use products we buy with our money for our projects for ourselves. i used to make masks and usually used caulking for the base of them. every single time i went to home depot, my dad would comment on this. “thats not what its for.” REALLY? wow holy **** i never knew that. but honestly i've had people comment this on anything. i was out on vacation and needed a few things to fix some stuff. went out to the stores with my family and some friends n stuff, because i was buying stuff not specifically lis... Another drop pay???14h agoXL was just starting at 15 last month [Landlord-US-AZ] Washing machine recommendations14h agoEdit: thank you everyone I decided to go with the GE GTW485. It’s $530 at my local appliance store (not big box) I have a SFH and I provide a washer & dryer. My 11 year old washer recently started to automatically power off shortly after turning on and looking to replace soon. Anyone recommend anything specific? I was thinking of the old school Amana brand from Home Depot. They’re cheaper & give an old school wash. Current tenant is long term and actually requested that old top load style. Is this mold?15h ago12 foot ceiling basement...its not complete...its bare...mostly for storage... any environment friendly/less chemical way to approach this? stores around my area are Menards, Home Depot and Lowe's thanks Anyone in need of tools. Looks like a deal17h agoI stumbled upon this kit on home Depot. is only available in person tho Nitrogen in large area18h agoWhat do y’all use for nitrogen application in a large area like 25,000 ft.² North, Georgia for reference I can get a bag at my local Home Depot for $31 but the calculator says I would need 12 bags. I was just wondering if y’all have found a cheaper option of nitrogen Leak behind gutter on porch19h agoPrevious post: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Roofing/s/ph9VL4fLq0](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roofing/s/ph9VL4fLq0) Thank you for telling me how to fix what the previous homeowner had done. I took down the gutter to replace the 2x4 fascia board with 1x8 cedar. As I took down the gutter, I realized someone had used a hanger as a joiner with a bunch of sealant holding it together. So I set off to Home Depot to get more hangers (previously 4 for a 12 foot span) and an actual joiner. When I got there, they only had K style and I had a half-round system. So I made the decision to replace the entire system. How did I do? I probably could have routed the downspout directly. Next time I’ll check oth... Top up question20h agoI use tap water that I’ve stored in Home Depot buckets to top up my aquariums. Does it make sense to add tap water conditioner to the buckets? I’m a complete newbie. need advice on a freezer, reviews are terrible everywhere22h agoI’ve been planning to buy a freezer, but honestly the reviews have me second guessing everything. I’m not even talking about the super budget options from sites like Alibaba, Amazon, or eBay even well known brands like Frigidaire, GE, Maytag, Hisense, and Samsung seem to have some pretty alarming feedback. Many people are reporting the same problems. For example, I’ve seen multiple GE users say the compressor failed within months and leaked oil everywhere. Samsung owners mention units randomly switching from freezer to fridge mode. There are also quite a few complaints about warranty support being difficult or unhelpful. At this point I’m considering just getting a smaller unit, ma... Roadie has done it again. They dropped the price for huge orders. TF!!😡1d agoUpdate: I listened to your feedback AGAIN! My 100% offline Stocard alternative just got your most requested features.1d agoA few weeks ago, I shared my tiny, privacy-first loyalty card wallet here. The support from this community has been absolutely incredible, and it's amazing to see so many "Stocard refugees" valuing a simple app without forced accounts or data tracking. I’ve spent the last few weeks reading through every single comment and request, and I just released a new update (Version 1.2) addressing the exact things you asked for the most: * **Local Backup & Restore:** Since there is no cloud sync (to keep your data strictly on-device and 100% private), many of you asked how to safely transfer cards to a new phone. You can now export your entire wallet as a local file and impo... Trying to complete the PothosDex1d agoTop row, left to right 1. Marble Queen 2. Manjula 3. Jade 4. 1. N’Joy (allegedly) Middle Row 5. Pearls and Jade (allegedly) 6. Jessenia 7. Global Green Bottom Row 8. Neon 9. Golden I originally wanted to make a Frankenpothos but now I think I have too many to put a little of each in one pot lol I’ll probably have to make smaller arrangements. I’m unsure about the Pearls and Jade and N’Joy because they all looked exactly the same. Let me know what you think! Or feel free to suggest other varieties I could hunt down next! Thanks! 😄 Edit: Forgot to mention, I’ve been specifically collecting Aureum varieties. Maybe convince me to branch out (lol) Update: The day after ... Wife and I looking for light colored, hardwood shelves that are 60 to 72 inches long, and 15 inches deep. Ideally 1 to 2...1d agoSo, we want to hang a really sturdy, robust shelf above our bed for a couple of large pothos plants. it's needs to be able to hold weight when the plants have been watered, and needs to be deep enough to be wider than the 12 inch pots. 15 inches deep would be great, floating shelves preferred, but large brackets are fine and may be the way to go with something that robust. brackets aren't hard to find... but home depot, Lowes, Tracyor supply, etc don't seem to carry shelves with these dimensions. Should we just get a certain type of wood custom cut at one of these stores? Or is there some cool seller out there that makes them? dont wanna spend a fortune, but anything more tha... Need advice on first riding mower1d agoHey all, Just bought a property that’s about a full acre including the house. Looking to buy a riding mower of some type but would like some guidance. Don’t really want to buy from a box store but also want to make sure I get a fabricated deck and a mower that I can do the “common” maintenance on myself. As of now I’m looking at the following: 2026 Gravely ZT 42 - 18hp Kawasaki FR600V, w/42" Fabricated Deck - local dealer sale CubCadet Ultima Z2 42 OR 50. Both with Kawasaki engines and fabricated decks. Both of these are at Home Depot (would rather purchase from a dealer for service reasons, but the prices are attractive and they seem to have great ratings) Looked into J...
