Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotY'all complain a lot9h agolol I didn't expect y'all to complain so much. I understand every store isn't the best and management and customers can be headaches but y'all let Home Depot use y'all instead of using home Depot . it's a method to the madness. I only work part time but I will be using home Depot for every perk and benefit available. perfect opportunity to get up and win. idk I'm not a complainer . I **** hearing people complain instead of making changes. I also personally don't take anything personal and don't care about how coworkers or customers feel. I just come to win. whatever that entails everyday. EDIT : Also have family who've worked in the store a... Need help on Outdoor Handrail10h agoNew homeowner in Paramus, NJ. I have a 4-riser patio stairs. After closing, the home insurance suddenly sent an inspector to ensure insurability of the house (already paid for whole year in advance). The inspector told me that I **need a handrail for the stairs.** I need to have it installed by a deadline or the policy would be cancelled. I checked online and home improvement stores. Most of the outdoor handrails available (*Image 1 and Image 2*) looked nice, but did not seem to meet the code (the end should return to wall/ground/post). As a matter of fact, I **could not find any in Home depot** that meets this requirement. Is this because the rule is not strictly enforced and people don... Am I getting in over my head?11h agoI'm trying to replace this long plenum trunk and update the ducts to flex. I had it quoted and they wanted 10 grand for the job and that seemed crazy. Home Depot and Lowe's don't carry duct board and I heard local supply stores won't sell to the public for liability reasons. I could understand liability when it comes to something like electrical (even though you CAN source that in stores), but HVAC? I'm not trying to design a new system. I'm trying to replace what's already there. The plan is to pickup the duct board, a duct board v-groove tool, outward clentching stapler and use mastic with fiber glass tape to connect and seal the sections. Then metal star... Buying washer/dryer13h agoI have to buy a washer and dryer for the first time in my life and have no idea where to go outside of the big box stores. I don’t need anything fancy, just normal side by sides. My hometown had “scratch and dent” places where you could get appliances for cheap because they had cosmetic defects (not refurbished, these were still brand new). Is there anything like this in Columbus and if so, where? Any place better than the other? I would really need them to deliver and ideally set them up too, but delivery up 3 flights of stairs is required. I don’t know what my budget is, no idea what these things cost normally. I’ll do Lowe’s or Home Depot or whatever if I have to but would... Please help me find a specific product (Ottawa)14h agoI am looking for Schluter Jolly tile trim. 1/4” (6mm) profile. Material = aluminum. Colour = Bright white. I know it exists! Schluter has it listed on their site and though I have found every other size at various stores, I cannot seem to find the 1/4” one. Schluter makes the brightest white, every other brand is some sort of off-white. I have tried Home Depot, RONA, Sarana, and Eurotile. OK TBF I just checked the Eurotile catalogue online, but I find their catalogue extensive and well-maintained. Usually they have everything listed. I am in the east end but I don’t mind driving across town, I am just tired of driving around town and not finding it. I am approaching the point in my ... Anyone seen the new 48-22-8423 XL PACKOUT with handle yet?15h agoIt's out now, in stock at Acme and a few other online retailers, but I haven't heard about it being out in any physical stores yet, certainly not at Home Depot. Yes, I know it's the same as what Milwaukee shipped their M18 Fuel track saw kit in, but now you can buy it on its own. https://preview.redd.it/0am132w2ovqg1.jpg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94db567b61242ed922fb8f85c14db7fa65dc697e Cub Cadet Z2 vs Used John Deere X58017h agoI recently moved and live on just under 3 acres and am looking to get a new mower. The local JD store has a used 2016 X580, 54" deck, with 262 hours on it for $5k. Home Depot is selling the Cub Cadet Z2 50" deck brand new for $4800. My property is on a decent sized hill, so that's why I'm looking at zero turn with a steering wheel. I like the idea of a zero turn because of speed, but I hesitate buying from a big box store. The resale value obviously is much higher with the John Deere and having a local dealer option is nice. Thoughts between the two? What I keep in my van so I don’t have to run to Home Depot mid-job18h agoAnother post made me think of this. One thing that made a big difference for me was getting serious about what I keep stocked in the van. I used to run out for parts constantly. Felt like every job turned into at least one trip to Home Depot, sometimes two. Kills your time and makes you look unprepared. Over time I started keeping a small “default stock” of things that come up over and over. Basic screws (various sizes) Drywall anchors Wire nuts and electrical tape A couple of shutoff valves and supply lines Caulking (white + clear) Wood filler and patch Sandpaper A few common hinges and latches Teflon tape Extra drill bits and blades not to mention some plumbing ... I thought package deliveries are when a store packages up their merchandise a customer purchased, so I’m not understanding why drugs would be involved? Also, why are so many of them from Home Depot? Just something nice!22h agoEDIT: People are already getting salty. I am not interested in a career at the Home Depot; this is a part-time gig to help me make some money. That's why my raise was a pleasant surprise, at a place that's just a job to make some extra cash. Just wanted to share something unexpected (as a part-timer with some attendance issues): I became a PSA in November when they implemented the new Pro overhaul in our store, and for that I got a raise. Then I got my PACE done last week, and to my surprise, they gave me another raise! I wasn't expecting that since I had already gotten one 4 months prior for joining Pro. It was just nice. Not any kind of livable wage sadly, but just ... Golf simulator - Final stages23h agoThanks to all those that either replied to my questions, or posted their own setups to get me started. Huge help to get me to this point. About 80% finished with my garage golf simulator. Frame is 2x4 spaced 16” from the back wall and using a 10x8 Spectrum Poly Spacer impact screen. I used 6” ball, but it’s too tight. The ball comes rocketing back with every club. Replaced with some 9” bungee and this is a little better. I cut 1” EVA foam into 7” strips to cover the gaps between the frame and the screen. Used some left over netting 10x10 over the top stretching out 5 feet and then another left over 10x10 for the right side. In front of the screen on the floor is 1” EVA fo... Help with tie down for '24 STR on a flat bed truck23h agoHey everyone, I'm planning on transporting a 2024 Street Triple RS on a home depot 8' flat bed truck (attached pictures of the bed). I went to the store, checked all the available options. Van and box truck didn't have floor tie downs. Flat beds have around 8 to 10 floor tie downs. I have around 250 miles total to drive once I load the motorcycle I purchased Rhino USA medium tie downs [here](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rhino-USA-1-x-15-Ratchet-Strap-Tie-Down-with-Safety-S-Hooks-1-823lb-Break-Strength-Orange-4-Pack/668483770) Based on videos and reddit posts, I'm thinking 1. I'll push the front wheel snug against the cab 2. Soft loops on each side of the Triple tre... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
