Hello, I’m thinking of expanding my garden this year. Last year I used store bought dirt but I don’t think I used enough. I have some compost, but not enough for the whole space. I don’t really want to drag multiple bags home from Home Depot or Lowe’s. What is the alternative I’m not thinking of? Thanks!

Please Stop trying to clean your own carpets. There is no magic electric machine you can buy, rent or borrow that will do anything meaningful for you. I know big box stores like Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart carry some standard eco region plants (near me) like purple cornflower, salvias and maybe some trees. Has anyone in 8A NC seen NC natives in those stores? I'm curious, though I try to buy plants from local nurseries and farmer markets.

As someone who has managed and been a store supervisor for stores like Salvation Army and Goodwill, I do understand the instinct for a manager to want to maximize the profit on collectable or valuable items. I have a filled Mon3800 humidor and several EZY totes from Home Depot. The totes have 65% bovedas, same humidity setting for the Raching. 65 F storage. Everything has calibrated Govee pods (lazy one step Govee 24 hour 75% calibrations not salt method). Everything at least 4 months at home storage. Using the $50 humidity probe (Amazon victory crown) the loose cigars pulled from the totes measure 65% humidity as stored. The boxed cigars (box wrappers removed and individual cigars sleeves cut at the foot before storage) from the Raching measure 60%. I’m looking for places around the area where I can buy hardwood boards like walnut, maple, oak, etc. I know the big stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s carry some stuff, but I’m hoping to find better quality lumber or maybe a local lumber yard that woodworkers recommend. If anyone has suggestions for good lumber yards, hardwood suppliers, or even reclaimed wood spots nearby I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Today was going to be the day, I’ve saved all my money for an entire year and I was going to buy an electric dirtbike. As a full time wheelchair user this was meant to give me my freedom back. I received my PACE Performance review recently, was not exactly good or true to the fact. Per my SM, I am a good worker but I need improvement. Been with HD 8 years and have a lot of responsibilities, store functions. Was asked this and at previous review if I'd like advancement to a DH promotion. Was offered, but it went no where. Extreme newbie here. Extreme as in the first time I even started a fire was today, in my brand new offset smoker grill lol I watched a ton of videos and did a ton of research before I decided to take the plunge today and start smoking a tri tip. Honestly everything is going well except I’m burning through a **** ton of wood chunks real fast, as in every 15-20 min I’m needing to add. Is this normal? It doesn’t seem sustainable. I need help finding a substitute for orchid bark for my potting soil all stores near me (three walmarts, two lowe’s and three home depots and one Ace Hardware) are all out of orchid bark, and i don’t want to order online unless absolutely necessary. Is there anything similar to it for well draining soil mix? I use one 8qt bag of perlite and peat moss and same size bag of orchid bark usually.
