Hi all. I’m looking to purchase a vacuum, and I was leaning between a Shark and a Dyson. To preface, we have two dogs who shed their fur like a snowstorm LOL (German Shep and Aussie). We have carpet and hardwood/tile so preferably something that can do both! Trying to find something under the $500 range. If possible. But open to hearing all opinions! Some stores here in Canada, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Costco, Best Buy, Rona, Home Depot. I would love your feedback and suggestions. Thanks!

I just picked up a Bambu P1S and started making a Prop Laspistol and Boltgun that requires some hardware such as 3x DIN 7991 M 5x10 Screws (Flathead) 1x ISO 7380 M6X30 Screw (Round head) 4x m3 nuts 1x 12-14 mm Outer Diameter spring, approx.. 20mm long. I'm not opposed to it hunting and gathering at a normal hardware store but wasn't sure if there was a better place/ better deal. I've searched through Home Depot and McLendon's and I was wondering where everyone got things like this or if there's a better place than amazon or a better option than buying in bulk.

Edit: Many comments or questions assuming we brought dad out to replace hiring a contractor. The expectation has always been that we would do what work we can ourselves, & would hire out the important stuff (electrical, plumbing, etc.) Dad knew this, as we both told him that was the case. Have a small camp stove but do not have any fuel canisters for it. In case we're out of power for an extended time, I'd like to fire it up on the porch to boil water for coffee/noodles/etc. Anyone know if any store still has some fuel canisters in stock? Lowes/Home Depot websites show all local stock is out already.

McGyver would be proud. Home Depot Extra large moving box. One 8x4 sheet of 2" thick 3m Foamular insulation. A tarp. Some duct tape and bungee cords (cuz McGyver). Approximate inside dimensions 28L by 20Q x 30H. Built so it can be disassembled and stored flat. Should keep my favorite (in ground) aloe free from Austin's upcoming snowpocalypse.
