Currently doing home repair and I'm going to need about 600sqft of carpet. I'll be replacing the carpet myself. Any store recommendations beyond mendards/home depot?

check your local home depot as i was able to get one on clearance for $130 minus my military discount plus tax came out to $120.92

I asked my \~3 year old what he wanted to do today since it was raining. He said, “I want to go to the orange and black store (Home Depot)”. Sure, we can hang out at the orange and black store to look at some of the tools lol. Wife was happy to get a break from the two of us.

I'm almost done with my floating shelf and was in the process of adding 2 coats of polyurethane this weekend. The top of the shelf was perfectly fine but when I did the second coat on the bottom, I got a bubble that formed. I'm just an enthusiast and dont know too much about woodworking just yet. Any help is appreciated here! I’m an absolute rookie when it comes to installing closets / doors, and I have a hallway closet which needs new doors replaced. When measuring the current bifold doors themselves; I get 77” x 29 1/4”. Also, from floor to beam (where the rail hardware would install to) is 79”. The frame to frame of the closet is 59”. Current doors are 80” x 30” - I’m not looking to get expensive doors ($150 each), I assume they’ll be hollow. Is there even an ability to cut them shorter? Or would that ruin them? So this has been a laborious project. When we moved in, we put most of our things in the garage while we renovated the house. As you can see from the first picture, the original garage had 3 big heavy metal doors that would sometimes slam shut if too much wind blew. And also at some point a second layer of concrete was poured over the original driveway so when it rained it went downhill into the garage. So anything we stored in there had to be propped up on wood. There are loads of videos and how-tos out there on making garage storage racks for the standard 27G black’n’yellow totes from the likes of Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. They’re usually designed so that each tote hangs from its upper edges, rather than sits on top of a shelf. \*Has anyone done something similar for attached-lid containers (ALCs)? Looking for an American made blender, with a glass jar, that are sold in United States stores. Could also be made in the EU or Canada, as well. Basically, just not made in China and not a plastic jar. Closest I have come to is Vitamix made in the US, which is $400 and still not glass out of the box. And Oster from Mexico, but they are usually the very low end kind. Oster make much better ones, but they are only online as far as I can see. I am not sure why stores won't carry them. Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe's, and other super markets do not sell what I am looking for. I do not buy online, so it has to be brick and mortar stores. Thank you.
