Windsor ONE vs HD CMPC

16m ago

Is Windsor one worth it in price. I have only worked with Windsor and am wondering how much better it is/ worse CMPC is in comparison. Both are finger-jointed pre primed. I guess I have an assumption that CMPC is worse because Home Depot. But it would be really cool if it was about the same- considering my client is on a budget. Thanks for the input community 🤙

Ridgid rapid vs turbo charger

I just do diy stuff and home projects I'm thinking the rapid charger will be plenty, but you know how it is, I want the fastest!

Hi all, Some of you may remember my previous experiment trying to transform [Anthropic's Claude Opus into Buffett](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValueInvesting/comments/1r994rg/i_fed_48_years_of_buffetts_shareholder_letters_to/) by feeding it his shareholder letters and asking it to predict stocks during the COVID crash. Today I'm back with another experiment that I hope will have valuable insights for the community here. I came across a paper from researchers at Berkeley's Haas School of Business showing that year-over-year changes in parking lot car counts predicted quarterly retail earnings \[1\]. They found that trading on this signal yielded 4 - 5% abnormal returns...

Washer dryer situation

15h ago

In last nights live (3/15) S answered a question about them having a washer/dryer yet. She replied that they’re ordering a set on Wednesday, and they’ll be delivered and hooked up by “them” (the store) Thursday; and in my experience, hook up services are only offered with a new set from a store like Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc. Now, just a few lives before this, they’d been saying they were scrounging fb marketplace/thrift stores for a set because they can’t afford a new set. Two theories: 1. They’re simply lying about getting a set, because we know and can see they don’t care about cleanliness 2. They are receiving funds from somewhere that hasn’t been disclosed yet ...

Found one!

I saw some people posting that these crested San Pedros are being sold in some AZ Home Depots. I tried 3 and no dice, so I called a store across town from me and the guy said that they got 8 in that morning and were down to one. He hid it for me underneath a table and it was there when I got there. Thanks Home Depot man for doing that!

My pitcher plant has NEVER pitchered. NEED HELP!

19h ago

I have had this Nepenthes since June of last year, and it has never pitchered. I've always assumed that it was N. ventrata, since it was a generic 25$ nepenthes I bought at a random plant shop in Queens. It's never pitchered though, so I can't truly ID, but it likely is N. ventrata as that's a common Nepenthes most stores would sell. Up until February of this year, I had it under a generic Home Depot grow light with only 14.2 PAR/PPF, which explains why it never pitchered, as I always assumed it just needed higher humidity, even during the summer when it was well above 60%. Now, I have a Soltech VITA LED bulb, which I got during February last month. With a PAR/PPF or...

Hot Tub Store says bleach destroys Heating element

23h ago

When I bought my hot tub in Sept the hot tub store gave me a frog@ease starting kit and a bottle of dichlor. They told me to use dichlor to shock. In december I launched my house as an airbnb and began struggling with the frog@ease because it ran out so quickly and it could not keep up with bookings 4-5 nights with 4-6 people at a time. A few times I would arrive at check-in and the water was hazy and smelled sour. So I did a lot of research and realized that I was using just dichlor to shock and that was causing CYA to build up and eating through all my frog catridges and causing the dichlor to be less effective. So I started using the bleach\\dichlor method. For the last month or so and i...

I bought the "5 for $10" bagged mulch from the Big Box stores so you don't have to. Here is the actual ma...

1d ago

Hey everyone. Since it's spring, I know a lot of us are getting clients (or spouses) asking if we should just go grab a palette of the cheap bagged stuff from Home Depot, Lowe's, or Walmart instead of paying for a bulk delivery. Since I run a mulch yard, I decided to actually do a deep dive into the big box store bags this year to see what you're actually getting for the price. Here is what I found: * **The Math is Deceiving:** People see "$2 a bag" and think it's a steal. But standard bags are 2 cubic feet. It takes **13.5 bags to equal one cubic yard**. Suddenly, that "cheap" mulch is costing you $27–$40+ per yard, which is often *more* expensive...

I wish HF cared about IT

As usual, I'm trying to check prices & availability before spending an hour in the car. As usual, the app barely loads, even after having cleared my cache, and regardless of how strong my wifi or 5G is. TBF, Home Depot is no better.

Just bought a Carolina Reaper plant from Home Depot. Any tips on how to care for it ?

[Discussion] Wakey Wakey, the hivemind of storage methods. How did your tubers do?

1d ago

Figured now that people are starting to wake their tubers, drop your method of storage below and what your percentage (roughly) made it through the winter. I split mine in October when I pulled them. Stored them in peat moss, dollar store totes, with airholes in them. Tossed a few blankets over them. Stored in my mudroom in Mid-Michigan. I had about 90% success. Nothing shriveled and died. Actually they all looked as good as the day I stored them. I did have a few rot, but very limited. No mold, either. Pleasantly surprised. And the ratio of blind tubers to viable was very very low, which was great. Changes for 2026/2027 -BETTER LABELING. Some totes had 2 varieties and I didn't labe...

Assembly, Aftercare & Replacement Parts: The Forgotten Headaches of Imported Furniture

1d ago

# ASSEMBLY HEADACHES: THE REALITY CHECK # 1.1 Missing or Wrong Hardware: The “Where’s My Bag of Bolts?” Nightmare * **How common?** Shockingly frequent. I’ve had a bed frame arrive with zero hardware. Reddit is full of stories: “No screws, no bolts, no hope. Had to guess sizes and hunt down metric replacements at three stores.” * **Why?** Packing errors, lost bags, or the supplier simply forgot. Sometimes you get the wrong type—cam locks instead of barrel nuts, or vice versa. * **How to avoid:** * Demand a detailed packing list with your order. * Ask for extra hardware bags (I always request 10% more). * Keep a universal hardware kit on hand. # 1.2 Incomprehens...

How much of this powder do I use on my baby beardie's veggies and crickets/dubia roaches

1d ago

I couldn't find any of the recommended calcium dust w/o d3 in the pet store. So I am hoping this stuff is good. Also reptifiles says I should feed him/her 1 time a day for as much as it can eat but I see other reddit posts they need more than 1 feeding a day. People tell me reptifiles is the best source so im assuming I should go with that and stop feeding him more than once a day? Also I ordered 500 dubia roaches because that was before I found out they only should be eating 5-7 bugs a day. I ordered from chewy. How can I transfer them to another container from the shipping box without getting them all over my 1 bedroom apartment. What I can come up with is buying a container from Lowe...

Extremely Bullish - For my 2029 Hodlers

1d ago

Origintrail was founded in 2013 with token generation/ICO in 2017. ICO price was $0.10 and currently it trades at $0.33 (3.3x) on Mar 2026. Given the historical PA and current price, this project can viewed as "dead" in crypto world. Many OT token holders are also finding dread and losing conviction of their investment. The purpose of this post is to highlight how bullish OT is. Origintrail is no longer a blockchain-based project designed to enhance supply chain transparency, data interoperability and data integrity. While important, we have seen over the years that it doesn't translate very well into publishing which is key to driving utility demand that will drive up ...
