Most supermarkets and retail stores are closed on New Year’s Day in the GTA area yet those same stores (Walmart, Home Depot, Superstore, Indigo to name a few) and shopping malls (even ones managed by the same company in Ontario) are open in Vancouver with reduced hours. This seems to be the case for many public holidays in Ontario. Anyone know why?

RIDGID is on my **** list for wasting my time, again. EVERY time I register a new tool (typically a few times a year, every year), the RIDGID LSA registration processs goes badly, and without one, or two, or three interventions would fail, as RIDGID and their insurer intends. It is just downright fraud, and frankly, I am sick of it. I am drafting an enema letter to the CA state Attorney General (a complaint) to ask that this systematic fraud be charged. 28 lb 40v demolition hammer w/ two 4ah batteries and dual charger at $1,049 and get two 8ah batteries for free ($778). Little overkill for what I needed, mainly want to break up bits of concrete slab for plumbing and help with clay soil fence post holes. Haven't seen this BOGO combo on other tools I'd want.

I saw a lot of them in stores and was reminded that they can, in fact, be pets. Now, obviously I'm not getting a free/$0.99 hermit crabs since those are often caught from the wild and rarely in good condition. Really more of a rant but- I have been looking for these chairs for a while and finally found them at Home Depot. I took this photo on November 5. I couldn’t buy them at this time because I didn’t have the right vehicle. So I waited until my husband could return with me which happened this past week (after Christmas). They now want $150 for the same chair!!!! The chairs at the store were completely beat up and they would only offer me 10% off. Fairly new frog owner here, I got Pepe in August with a 10 gallon tank with one pothos plant. Coming December after buying 5 gifts for the dog, I thought I’d treat Pepe too. Here is my attempt at a bioactive 40 gallon tank. Plenty of research has been put into this, including safe plants, benefits of using isopods and springtails, food for the lil guys too. Also, I’ve been pretty **** bent on getting the humidity and temp just perfect. As seen in the images, the isopods and springtails have plenty of food. I saw a cat walking around the local Home Depot and thought a feral cat wandered in. Nope, he's friendly and clearly domesticated. I asked an employee if they knew that had a cat wandering around. His name is "Homer" and he's a working cat and has been there for years. That's awesome! I'll be shopping at that particular store more often!
