Random question but I'm looking for a brick and mortar store where I can walk in and buy some Gorton steam valves for my steam radiators in my house. I don't want the cheap Home Depot/Lowes **** that breaks instantly. Anything I find online is from a random store with ridiculous shipping. Any suggestions welcome but preferably in Nassau County near Rockville Centre.

I turn 60 years old in March. I have sent resumes via Indeed to the following stores with no response. Costco, Aldi’s, Kroger and Home Depot. I am also college educated.

Today I got this Bonanza Patio Peach tree at Home Depot. After I got it home and pulled the plastic label off the base of the trunk that all those trees have, I saw these black patches on the trunk. Is this of any concern, or is it normal? The rest of the tree seems to be doing fine and is loaded with buds. If it’s something I need to return to the store ASAP, I definitely can. I have no prior experience with Peach trees. Thanks!

I'm in the process of getting setup to buy my first bearded dragon (sorta I had one years ago when I was little) and I found three enclosures on MB Marketplace for 250, they are Phailozoo 48 long x 24 wide. Anyways I've heard sand is the best thing to use but if I were to do that I really don't want to go to my local garden/hardware store and get the different bags of sand and do it myself. at this Home Depot, the manager and the store consistently violate the fire codes and consistently violate OSHA regulations and seem to go out of their way to endanger their customer's lives by locking and barricading their center exit, the exit that most people are likely to head towards in event of an evacuation. This behavior of Home Depot endangers their employees and endangers their customers. It is disgusting. People should be fired for this. They do this every day.

looking for affordable quality kitchen cabinets in NYC. (cheap) for smallish apartment kitchen. I have no idea what I’m doing lol basically I’m using this linkage setup to create a pivot point for something but I don’t understand what hardware I need for this setup. Stores near me didn’t have shoulder bolts so I just got these hex bolts from Home Depot that have a smooth shank. I also got nylon lock nuts and washers. But what hardware do I need for this setup so it can move freely but also so the links don’t slide back and forth. I want to be able to do this without bearings too if possible. Are there any local stores that sell kitchen organizing stuff? Like shelf dividers, containers, the shelves you can put spices on in cabinets, that kind of thing? I'll do an Ace hardware if there are no other options but I really don't want to go to Target or Home Depot. And I don't want to order from Amazon.
