My husband and I are looking to renovate our kitchen, new cabinets and updated counters and backsplash. We have a rough quote from Lowes and Home Depot, and are trying to stick to our \~15k budget. We got a quote from a very trusted local small business for about 22k, this gentleman has done fabulous work for my family before. We wanted to be pretty strict with our budget, and our home doesn't warrant a super fancy kitchen. However, I have been reading some negative reviews of Lowes and HD, and it seems like for 7K more we could get something custom and guaranteed to be quality. I have an ice cream trailer in which I sell homemade ice cream. Essentially the only thing being powered is the AC and lights and like phone charger or maybe an electric kettle. Not much that requires power. I currently have a predator 9500 regular generator not the inverter type. It is on wheels and is stored inside the trailer. When we arrive, we must roll it out, get it down and roll it to the side. It is super noisy and ****** heavy. I have a couple problems with this setup. we have the worst material handling equipment of any store in the area. lowes, home depot, the grocery store across the street, walmart... they all use fancy electric pallet jacks to move a fraction of the weight we have to move. and what do we get? two broken manual pallet jacks. how are we supposed to get anything out to the floor with junk???

has anyone come up with a clever / optimal solution for securing their bike outside a row home? i fear just tying it up won’t be enough, and it’s a massive pain to bring and store it inside. i do have a parking pad, and i was considering getting some sort of little home depot shed if i can find something small enough but i don’t think ive seen any other houses doing this. i’d love to see any clever solutions!

I don’t really own any tools though. My washer and drier sit on a slab of concrete that is 4 inches high. It’s not big enough for the drier though - the drier hangs over by like half a foot. I want to just put something easy at the end of the concrete that will give the drier enough room. I’m not sure how to easily achieve this with wood from Home Depot. As far as I know a 4x4 is technically 3.5 inches on each side. Hello all, I’m relatively new to plants and i got this monstera about 2 weeks ago from a local Home Depot. Big box stores love to plant multiple different plants into one pot and it had two different monsteras into one pot and yesterday i separated them. Now that they are separated i have a few questions; 1. I added a stake, did i tie the plant to the stake in the right spot? 2. The leaves are facing all different directions because they were grown with another plant, will they even out? and if they do how long will it take? 3. I bought these d-rings at Bauhaus (German equivalent of Home Depot). When I went to hang the painting they pulled out on the sides. Did I do something wrong? Should they have been installed facing a different direction? The wire isn’t particularly tight. They seem very low-quality, but Bauhaus is generally a decent store for quality and these were the only option. I am really missing North American d-rings right now that come with screws, because hammering in to the back of a canvas was stressful.

The knife shown above was my go-to work knife until I lost it. I ended up buying some random cheaper 3-Pack Husky boxcutters until I finally found it again. I'll spare the details, but it's lost two of its grip panel screws-- one on either side. Can anyone help me ID the screws required for these panels (i.e size, where to buy?) I don't wanna take the lazy route and just buy another one from Home Depot. It seems like such a waste.

I work at Home Depot in the receiving department and the place is filthy. You drop one thing on the ground and a cloud of dust gets blown up into the air. I often carry a mask with me to protect myself. Genuinely not great. I've heard Lowe's is a lot cleaner, and any time I walk through Lowe's it looks like the store gets more care. Is it actually better?
