I know everyone has different stores near them, but I live in Southern CA and see people post all the time about finding stuff at home Depot, Walmart, Lowe's, etc but every time I go I never see a clearance section??

Before I start, I work in plumbing, in all Alameda and Contra Costa county...... The 2027 gas water heater ban is in regards to residential units under 75,000 BTU's (BTU is essentially a measurement of heat output). This essentially means any tank gas water heater under 100 Gallons or IS NOT a high recovery unit will no longer qualify for legal installation. Eventually this will turn into a 175,000 BTU limit for residentials. Installing water heaters from outside state lines is likely going to void any sort of manufacturer/installers warranty too, so keep that in mind, I am not sure if these things will show up in inspection upon sale or transfer of the property either.... Safe to say...

I wrote this morning, went to Home Depot. Worked this afternoon and my phone ran outta charge and the one in the car couldn't keep up. Came home after work and forgot the dog food, back in the car to the store, highlight of the ******* day, the car was warm. That's terrible, a warm car makes me happy. That's sad. One day there's going to be a warm someone on the couch when I get home and she'll say "How was your day dear?" and I'll say fine, give us a kiss love. Then she'll hug me and kiss me. For some background info, after applying I waited a week and showed up in person to drop off my resume and availability (M-F 5:30P-9:30P & Weekends: Anytime) I got the email for a contingent offer and scheduled the onsite visit. After reading some other posts, managers don't see the application only corporate does and sends it to the store. It seems managers can still deny if availability isn't a good fit. In the online screening it said paint associate which is fine with me. I'm hoping they don't deny me because of my availability. Background check will come out fine. I bought a few plants(Lemon balm,Rosemary,sweet basil,spearmint)from Home Depot with the intention of using some of the leaves as part of my red-foot tortoise’s diet. I’m aware that nursery plants can sometimes be treated with pesticides or fertilizers that may not be safe for reptiles. I already removed the original soil, repotted them using plain topsoil, and have been letting them sit for about 2 weeks. I’m wondering if they’re generally considered safe to start offering small amounts of leaves now, or if I should wait longer. Has anyone here done something similar or have experience with using big-box store plants for tortoise food?

Company large item deliveries have actually gone so down hill Over the years we’ve had deliveries from various home improvement and furniture stores. And I have noticed a steady and sharp decline, which is absurd when the large item delivery fee went from included to at your cost. I got royally screwed over today by Home Depot (their third party delivery service was actually amazing to deal with, but Home Depot itself was to blame here) It makes me remember when companies included delivery service and were timely, free, professional and made it entirely hassle free to get an item delivered. 2nd photo is a progress pic from February of this year. I initially picked them up off the home depot floor (with permission from an employee) in October 2025. Looking for recs for local flooring stores, to find Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring. My contractor works with Lumber Liquidators and 1) Inhave read the stories about LL and 2) I didn’t find what I was looking for there. I know Floor and Decor, Home Depot and Lowe’s have options— any local stores ppl can recommend?

I full board my two horses but supplement their hay with bales I purchase so they have near 24/7 access. However, my barn does not have much storage space and can’t accommodate more than 2 supplemental bales at a time. I can’t keep buying hay every few days and am thinking about buying a small plastic or metal storage shed. I’m in a humid climate so heat and ventilation are definitely concerns. Would something like a 6x4 plastic storage shed I can get from Home Depot be okay? I’d have a floor in it and also use pallets to keep the hay off the floor. I’d also only store 10 bales and use them within two weeks. Other ideas welcome.

One of these is broken, and I need to replace it-- but I can't find in in-store at Lowe's or Home Depot, and can't find it online. In fact, I can't find ANY shower door handles that screw in on the sides. Are these not called "shower handles"? Any information is appreciated, thanks!

Found this Dewalt atomic 1/2 impact kit for $249. I recently got 2x Ridgid 4Ah batteries + charger for on a deep sale for $63 but could return. Also have a Ridgid 4Ah Max Output battery + drill for I got used for $30, as well as a Ryobi leaf blower, 4Ah battery, and charger. Is this dewalt impact + 9Ah battery + charger for $249 powerful enough to be my only impact (automotive DIY) and worth returning/selling my Ridgid stuff for, or should I wait for the Ridgid mid-torque to go on sale?

What’s everyone’s favorite nursery in town for flowers? I wanna plant something in a pot outside my door (gets sun maybe 1/4-1/2 the day) for my cat. She loves flowers but she goes down to the neighbors a few apartments down and chews on their flowers which I don’t mind her chewing, just not on someone else’s flowers. So getting her, her own lol. Anyways just wondering which nursery everyone prefers for flowers. I’d rather by local than a store like Home Depot, UNLESS a store like that has really good flowers lol
