So, my wife and I are currently building a house, and we've gone to several different lumber yards, as well as a local Home Depot, and can't find anywhere that really has high quality wood. Nearly all the wood I've looked at has been bowed. I've heard that our local Amish sawmills tend to have better lumber, but I wanted to get a few more opinions about it. I know the Amish lumber is probably all rough sawn as opposed to dimensional, but otherwise, has their lumber generally been straighter than what you'd get from lumber yards or home improvement stores?

Hey everyone! I’m looking to replace this piece that my grandfather used to connect the hose and water the lawn. I’ve been to a couple different Home Depot stores and local nurseries and no one seems to know what these parts are so that I can replace it. The only part that I’m familiar with is the pvc. Any ideas on where I can get this from?

I purchased a filament hub and it came but did not have the 2 screws to mount it to the P2S. I contacted support via a ticket. This is what Support answered after going back and forth 3 times. For installation, please use **2 × ST3x24x7 screws**. You can either:  * remove the screws from the old part, or  * purchase equivalent screws from a local hardware store. Well, there was no old part to use screws from ( like I would not have already thought of that). To mount the filament hub, there is a rubber stopper covering up the connector. You remove the rubber stopper with your hands, connect the hub to the connector and the hub mounts over that hole. There is no old screws to use. se...

Especially just in time for a long road trip so I'm stoked to be testing it out more. I was able to map everything out, take some measurements and build a version of it. It's definitely not perfect since I'm not a woodworker but it's together and holds everything I need. I could have gone with some thinner plywood for the bones of it ( I used 1/2") so it's quite heavy. I went down to 1/4" to build the boxes but the ply from home depo...

I've been eyeing the hydraulic impact driver for a hot minute and check for updated prices every now and again. A local Home Depot is selling them for a really odd price of $173, but I also get a military discount to bring it down to $156. If I change from pick up to delivery, the price jumps to over $220, so it's only available in store.

Does anyone know where I can get REALLY cheap or free boxes? (For a project, big, medium, and small sizes) I don’t really have the budget for boxes from walmart or Home Depot. Has anyone actually been to the liquor store or dollar tree and had them give free boxes? (I heard they’ll give boxes from a different subreddit) I’m willing to drive around avl for boxes, I just didn’t know if anyone else had suggestions!
