Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the The Home Depot Latest Community Discussions About The Home DepotCounter Installation Questions27m agoI got a quote from Lowe’s for about $1,800 to install 36 sq ft of laminate countertops. That seemed a bit high to me, especially considering the old countertop has already been removed. A few questions: 1. Is $1,800 a fair price for that size laminate install? 2. If I want to install laminate countertops myself, where can I actually buy them? I need about an 11.5 ft run, but everywhere I’ve checked Lowe’s, Home Depot, and two local stores only carries 10 ft sections max (if they carry laminate at all). 3. I considered buying two 6-ft laminate counters, cutting them, and joining them together, but part of my counter is a peninsula. All of the laminate counters I find only have one fin... How is this deal?1h agoGlen Mills Home Depot5h agoMy wife and I were at Glen Mills Home Depot shopping tonight and we noticed the store has a cat in their plant section. How do you guys feel about this? Genius idea to keep the mice away from all the grass seed and stuff? Or total lawsuit waiting to happen if a kid messed with it and it scratches or bites? Jason Statham in his prime versus Jackie Chan in his prime, in a Home Depot7h agoTwo martial artists known for creative use of the environment square off in a Home Depot. Both have the same amount of prep time (close to none) and are free to use the store's products, displays, and shelving however they see fit. My Box Store Baby7h agoSorry for the repost, I deleted the original so I hope it's okay. I forgot my phone takes pictures in a goofy format so only the old photo of my tree posted. So, here's my first tree, a Tiger-Bark Ficus, rescued from a Home Depot clearance shelf about 3 years ago. Last two photos of a ficus are a cutting I took from the first about 2 years ago, and the first a couple months after I got it. And also my 2 year (ish?) old Button Mangrove that I grew from seed and am pretty proud of lol I've left the Ficus to just grow for the last year after a botched repotting and subsequent thrip infestation nearly killed it. I'm probably going to stay pretty hands-off this year, too, j... Memory Card Storage13h agoHi fellow wedding photographers! I’m looking for some advice/help/what others are doing. When I shoot a wedding, I keep the SD cards until the gallery is delivered. I store them in a plastic container I got at Home Depot (photo attached). I put a small post it note on each compartment with the couples last name and their wedding date. After the gallery is delivered, I remove them and put the cards back into rotation for the next job. My workflow is always going to be keep the cards until the final gallery is delivered but I’m wondering if anyone has a better storage idea. This definitely works and gets the job done but I feel it could be better or more organized. Opinions welcome! ... I'm building a house. Tried to buy the floor model but the manager only offered $30 off for the floor model. It’s still there if anyone is interested Built corrugated metal raised beds 8 years ago for ~$110 each. Here's how they held up.1d agoBuilt three 8'x4'x2' corrugated metal raised beds back in 2018. Used galvanized steel roofing panels from Home Depot, redwood 2x4 corner posts, and star-headed exterior screws. Half a day to assemble all three. Eight growing seasons later: minimal surface rust only at cut points where I broke the galvanized coating. No warping, no structural issues. Still producing every year. Cost breakdown at the time was about $110 per bed without soil. At current prices it's closer to $148. Still cheaper than most pre-fab metal beds I see at the store. A few things I learned: \- The factory-cut edges aren't sharp at all. The edges you cut with a reciprocating ... Home Depot was selling all their orchids for 50% off1d agoThe manager said the plants weren't doing great in the store so he was clearing them out. I got 4 😊 Need help looking for a stainless steel gas hot water heater that would last many years.1d agoHi, I live in the US with hardwater and water softener machine. Hence I've gone through 2 regular hot water heaters (from a big box store like Home Depot) in the last 15 years. That's insanely short lifespan. I just learned that stainless steel hot water heaters could last decades. I don't mind paying more and would love to try it. Can you guys recommend a good SS gas hot water heater to replace my 40 gallon tank that just die? What to look out for? Can any plumbers install it? Thank you. The old smart switch works but has 5 wires coming out the back (white, green, black, red and blue). I attached the green(ground) white(neutral) and black(line) wires leaving the remaining blue and red(traveler) which I thought we both travelers but the diagram says it is a load(blue) wire. But I only have slots for travelers...does this mean the switch is not compatible? Attached diagrams. So I drove 40 miles to a Home Depot and bought a Wyze V2 floodlight camera to replace the motion light where cars are parked. Meanwhile my father passed away and I have to go to his funeral for several days about 350 miles away. I'm under a lot of time pressure to get this camera working before I leave the vehicles as fodder basically. I have had Wyze V3 cameras and they've worked fine, but this has been a complete nightmare, I've been trying all day long to get it to show live video.
