Do the hardware stores have sales on fruit trees?

39m ago

I recently went to Menards and got a plum tree in a pear tree for $22 each Which was cheaper than the price tag, which was $30 It made me wonder if the big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s or Menards try to offload the trees cheaper when it’s later in the season does anyone know if there’s a time they do that? And I don’t mean a sale. usually a sale means they price up to 60 and lower it to 40 I mean, what happens like after the Fourth of July with fireworks.

Hours? Days? Applying??

46m ago

Not sure if I used the right flair, but I’ve been considering applying to Lowe’s/Home Depot for a few weeks now. I’m working at Menards at the moment but not getting the hours I want. I was wondering if there was a policy that you all have that dictates the amount of hours you’re allowed in a week? I’m not allowed to work any more than 9.5 hours a day, no more than 5 days a week/in a row (part time). I’m trying to save up money to go into a trade school, and I really do enjoy working in hardware stores so I figured I might as well check out what it’s like at other stores and see if it might be a better fit. Thanks in advance!

How do you actually get rid of weeds for good?

55m ago

I keep getting weeds popping up no matter what I do. I’ve tried store-bought weed killers (Lowe’s/Home Depot), but they always come back. Is there a more permanent solution that doesn’t involve pulling everything by hand? Open to any methods that actually work.

AITA for yelling at a client on a store?

2h ago

First English is not my first language. I (30F) were to my country's equivalent to home depot, I was looking for a tool but I couldn't find it so I ask one of the employees to help me find it, I was talking to the lady when another client interrupted us to ask her about how to measure his toilet seat, the guy were very rude yelling about nobody were working and nobody were going to help him, so I yell him back, I said it was his responsibility to measure the damm toilet seat, and if he were so **** to not doing at home there were a whole hall of measure tapes on the sale and then he needed to look for the right seat himself, he was interrupting my attention and he needed learn to w...

Confused what to do next? (Trying to pay Home Depot CC)

4h ago

I’m trying to set up a payment source to pay my Home Depot CC, after logging into my bank and picking which account I want to link, I get promoted with this page. I’m not sure what to do or where to go next. I tried downloading the Citibank app (not sure if that’s even the right one) and it will only let you register if you have a Citi card or account.

I just want to give some insight to my fellow drivers: call Uber and ask them to disable [Uber Direct]. Best thing ever!

4h ago

So you don’t see Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Sephora orders, as well as orders from more stores that use \[Uber Direct\]. I did this 7 months ago, and I tell you it has been the best thing. Not once have I received those intrusive orders, and it’s been pretty consistent for me that I could get good orders from other stores quicker without \[Uber Direct\] orders bombarding me like i.e Walmart order with 15 deliveries for $17 going 56 miles. That’s what you won’t ever see. Trust me, you won’t regret it. Guys, call Uber support and tell them to block \[Uber Direct\] from your account. :)

HomeDepot pricing difference on Anderson door

11h ago

Hello, I got a quote for Anderson 400 Frenchwood door from Home Depot and installation throught them. The woman at the millwork told me that I can have the same Anderson 400 door for about $1100 less if they build it by panels in store for me. The installer will pick up and assemble while installing and it carries the same 10 Year/20 Year glass warranty as the one ordered complete through Anderson. Anyone has any experience with this? TIA.

Welp, it's official. I'm a receiving associate.

14h ago

I just joined Home Depot after two years at Lowe's (including \~7mo in receiving). I'm nervous because I'm going to be pretty much by myself in the evenings, but I get really good vibes from the store and everyone there. Any other receiving associates have advice on how to be good at my job?

13 week showing aggression toward people — looking for advice

15h ago

Hey all — looking for some input on my 13-week-old We’ve had her for about two weeks and overall she’s awesome, but I’m starting to get concerned about her behavior around people. She’s totally fine with other dogs, but with humans it’s a different story. If someone gets too close, she’ll growl and bark. If they try to pet her, she’ll actually go after them and it’s not just normal puppy nipping, it feels like a legit aggressive bite. Inside the house it’s even more intense. If someone comes over, she gets really territorial and defensive and will try to bite them. I’ve been trying to do everything right with socialization taking her out to city sidewalks, parks, s...

$8 Home Depot orders

16h ago

I picked a decent order from the batch of last minute HD orders. The rest were $8, I thought to myself only the female drivers will take those. As I was waiting at the customer service desk a bunch dudes started running into the store. I noticed they were picking up the $8 orders, wth I was wrong about who's getting those orders. Definitely not worth my time.

Home Depot (in So Cal) has 1 gal boxwood for $6

17h ago

For anyone who's interested, the Home Depots in Southern California (at least the one near me) are having a Spring Black Friday sale and have 1 gallon Japanese Boxwood for $6. UPDATE: This was at the Huntington Beach Home Depot at 19101 Magnolia St, Huntington Beach, CA 92646. The signs said "As shown in our ad" so I would expect it to be at more than just the one store. UP-UPDATE: Per AI, "The Home Depot Spring Black Friday sale for 2026 runs for 14 days, beginning on Thursday, April 9, 2026, and running through Wednesday, April 22, 2026"

Light reconstruction/flooring. I need subfloors redone and large tile flooring installed.

17h ago

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for getting subfloors replaced? I have a few places where the builder used pressed board in a house built in the 1970's, and the floor is wavy and sags in certain places. The chain stores like Home Depot and Lowes will install the tile, but they don't let their contractors/subs do any sub floor repairs. thanks!

$20 Hardware store craft day

18h ago

Had work off today so ran to Home Depot and grabbed a couple dresser pulls, a stick of angle aluminum and a 2x2 of 3/8 plywood. Had some wood around for the base of the ledge then glued the ply on top and the alum on. Made some feet out of the sample vinyl flooring for the rails. Really didn’t take much and I’m happy with how they turned out! Share some of your cool diy ideas!

Living in Tulsa, Oklahoma: The Truth No One Tells You (Myths vs. Reality)

18h ago

There’s a quiet confidence about Tulsa. It’s not loud. It doesn’t try to compete with the big cities. And maybe that’s why so many people overlook it… until they experience it for themselves. If you’ve ever considered moving to Tulsa—or even just been curious—you’ve probably heard a few things. Some of them outdated. Some of them completely off. So let’s have an honest conversation. Because once you understand what Tulsa *actually* offers, it starts to feel less like a backup plan… and more like a lifestyle upgrade. # Myth #1: “Tulsa Is Just Hillbillies, Tumbleweeds, and Tractors” Let’s clear this up right away. Tulsa is a thriving metro of around one m...

Let’s talk about why plants are more expensive at Tagawa, Nick's, Etc

20h ago

This was brought up in another thread, and the implication was that it was price gouging/greed with no logic or justification. So let’s break it down. First off, we have economies of scale. Small, independently owned stores do not have the economic leverage of Wal-Mart or Home Depot, so Nick’s or whoever can’t buy wholesale plants at the same rates. Boutique retailers often sell much more obscure material as well. These may be somewhat rare species, specially developed cultivars for our climate, or native plants that are more difficult to propagate than the stuff you’ll find at a hardware store. Quality of staff is a factor, too. It’s more expensive to employ people who can answe...

I found out a tidbit on Amazons A-Z Guaranty.

21h ago

There isn't such a thing. Long story short, I had a fake item from a merchant vendor and they said I didn't buy it from them, but I did... have the receipt. Any way I contacted Amazon to use the A-Z feature. On Feb 19th I was told it was handled and would get the $50 refund in a few days. I even received an email explaining it. Month later, Nothing, called again on March 19th, Gal told me nothing had been done, a claim was never made. I forwarded her the email. She told me she was entering the claim, but I wouldn't get an email for a few days. Nothing happened, not even the email. Called back Again, April 12th. Lady told me the claim had not been created. She ...

Favourite dog friendly stores/spots

22h ago

Looking for some pet friendly spots to take my puppy for socialization! I know about Home Sense, Michael’s, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, but I’m curious if there’s any other good stores we can take her. Also any good dog parks or restaurants you find are good! Edit: She’s 9 weeks rn but I want to build a collection of places we can take her later once she’s fully vaccinated. We take her to the stores mentioned above but in a cart as she’s only got one shot.
