Peony Intervention6h agoHello! I haven't been able to get any solid advice for my peony inquiries so please help! I have a very sad, non-flourishing peony plant and I am starting to feel guilty for how long I've been letting it live like it is. I figured that since it came back every year maybe it was just maturing. But I'm positive it hates the sun hours and soil quality of it's current location. My house is north facing and there is a fairly large tree in my front yard to assist with the lack of sun in my front flower gardens. I'm in Zone 6 (Indianapolis) and the soil/shade/sun combo in this particular garden is heaven for my hostas, a few lilies, and shrubs, but a peony I planted there... Anyone have experience with Novus Rototillers?6h agoI know rototilling isn't ideal for soil health, and I realize it can be a hot topic. But at my age, planting row after row of corn, beans, amaranth, etc., is much easier with a seeder than by hand, so I still do some limited tilling. My old Deere tiller attachment has lasted over 30 years, but now that replacement tines cost more than a new attachment and I don't really need a tractor any longer, I'm looking for a rototiller. I started by checking local options, which aren't numerous. TBH, at their price points, I might as well order a walking tractor online. So I decided to see what the big-box stores had to offer. We are remodeling and need new tiles and new hardwood floors. When I lived in the Northeast, we had discount tile stores where it was cheaper to buy tile than at Home Depot or Lowes. Are there any such stores in and around Houston? I've looked on google but some of the ones I found seem super fancy tiles and way too expensive. Thanks!
