Any good cheap alternative hairstylists in sac?

1d ago

Hello! I have been wanting a haircut for a while now but most of the good salons I see are wayyy over my budget. I just want a nice easy alternative cut but do not want to have to pay more than $80 for one. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would go to great clips or Supercuts but they have always messed up my hair and never execute exactly what I want. Plz help!

# How to Be a Sexier Man: The Psychology-Backed Blueprint That Actually Works

4d ago

Let me hit you with something real: Being "sexy" as a man has almost nothing to do with your face or your bank account. I know, I know, Instagram and Hollywood would have you believe otherwise. But after diving deep into research from evolutionary psychology, attraction science, and insights from relationship experts like Esther Perel and Matthew Hussey, plus countless hours of podcasts and books, I realized most guys are chasing the wrong things. Here's what I found: Sexiness is a skill. It's not some genetic lottery you either win or lose. It's built through specific behaviors, mindsets, and habits that signal confidence, competence, and emotional depth. The guys ...

Hair salon recommendations

7d ago

I'm looking to cut a lot of my hair off for sensory reasons and it's going to end up in an alternative buzzed style. I'm also going to donate what I cut off since my hair is about 10in long right now. My anxiety has decided to spike about this because I don't have a regular hairdresser these days, but also money is tight. Any recommendations on places/hairdressers that are really cool with the unconventional stuff and on the affordable end? Even if it's a Supercuts or Great Clips or something, a specific hairdresser would be cool. I've had enough of them have to fix their face when I show them my current mohawk-ish undercut. Thank you

Hairy Business

7d ago

I’m not one of those guys who spends 100 bucks on a haircut. I once did, in central London and just couldn’t tell the difference. I’ve basically paid for the prime location, rent in Marylebone is obscene. Perhaps it’s my hair, or I was unlucky, I don’t know. The other day I paid $30 at my local barber. He’s over 60 years old, so I did a little pre-job interview. He has been in the business for over 30 years. I’ve figured if he’s worked an average of 250 days a year and done 4 haircuts a day - conservative I believe - then he has trained on over 30,000 heads. That’s good enough for me. While I was sitting in the chair listening to my barber’s life story, which I enjoyed, ...

Please do free legwork for my monetized app

8d ago

Some of you might remember my post about how I built a crochet app because I kept losing my count as I crocheted while repeatedly watching supercuts of every **** scene in Game of Thrones. Needed something for my hands, you know. That post got some traction, way more than I expected, and the app-related feedback was nearly as incredible as the flurry of DMs I received detailing your own favorite shakycam video compilations of titillating HBO highlights (Euphoria, Sex and the City, compendiums of Nicole Kidman's most intriguing wigs, etc.) Thanks to your outreach, there's no more guesswork - I can now confidently say that I'm a Samantha. The app (Croshai) is still going stron...

Supercuts subscription?

I'm thinking about getting that monthly super cuts subscription so I can come in every other week to stay fresh. Are they good at cutting hair there and is the subscription worth it?

System reinstall at HairClub isn’t symmetric + perimeter wrinkling. One more appointment left.

10d ago

Hey guys, Looking for some perspective here. This is my second install attempt with this salon. First time around they completely missed the color. it was way too dark. I went back and asked for a lighter tone with some red undertone correction. After that was fixed, they reinstalled the system. They used Ghost Bond this time because I had a reaction to whatever adhesive they used the first install. Now about 20 hours after install, I’m noticing the system feels slightly shifted to the left. It’s not visually obvious because the hairline is covered, but when I line it up with my facial centerline it’s definitely off. More concerning: I can feel slight wrinkling/folding around part...

Sabata (1969)

11d ago

Lee Van Cleef is more fun to watch than Clint Eastwood. There, I said it. I've been watching a lot of Van Cleef movies lately and Sabata is a standout. The spaghetti-est of spaghetti westerns, it's simultaneously very cool and very goofy. The music is what you'd expect, very chic Italian 60s stuff. Carrincha is a dopey sidekick but he proves pretty useful to our man Sabata. I could watch a supercut of Van Cleef flicking coins at things with insane accuracy. The trio of villains were interesting, although the effeminate one, Stengel, was perhaps... a little stereotypical. Some would say problematic. All the men in this movie were very unique looking, no one is particularly ...

Top "unattractive" features on men and how to fix them based on SCIENCE

14d ago

Look around. We live in a time where visual culture dominates everything. Dating apps, social media, even job interviews first impressions are often based on what people see before they hear a word from you. The irony? Most men were never taught how to *look good*. And no, this isn’t about six-packs or being 6'4. Truth is, a lot of what's labeled as "unattractive" can be addressed without surgery or steroids. That’s what this post is for: cutting through TikTok BS and giving you practical, research-backed tips on fixing the most commonly discussed physical turn-offs in men. This isn’t about shaming. It’s about awareness. Most people don’t *look bad*, they just ...

Anyone here that has been working at Supercuts still have their HSA (Hair Stylist Academy) head sheets and/or cut notes and wouldn’t mind sending them my way?

Hair cream/gel in a bottle like this that I bought from Supercuts years ago. It really brings out my curls

16d ago

I don't remember anything about the brand, but it was in a clear bottle with a blue cap, about 8 inches tall and 2-3 inches in diameter, and the cream came up in a sort of spiral pattern. I bought it at Supercuts, but the Supercuts near me has closed and I don't know what brand of products they had. I don't know if it was specifically a curl cream or not, but it worked wonders to bring out the curl in my hair. TIA!

Fond Memory Friday

18d ago

Share a memory of your late spouse to help keep their memory alive. Here's mine: She had the softest hair of anyone I knew. She took the best care of it too. I'd watch her brush her hair out every night. And I was the one she trusted to brush it sometimes when she was tired or wanted that emotional intimacy. When we went out on our first date and before I had to go back to Oklahoma to finish my studies, she cut a lock and gave it to me. I carried that lock of hair for years and was stupidly heartbroken when I lost it during wallet changes. The year she died, when we opted to try and change chemo meds, we went to Supercuts. The stylist braided some of her hair, cut it, wrapped bot...

Haircut Stylist Recommendations? (Meridian area)

20d ago

Hi everyone! My wife needs her hair cut as her long time person just recently moved out of the area. Any ladies/gents go to a reasonable hair cut place (i.e., like Great Clips, Supercuts, etc., etc.), and see a particular stylist because they cut your hair great every time? What's their name, salon name, address or area of town? We live just north of I84, Franklin/Linder area but can travel east or west depending. Thanks!

So you want to pick a main theme and need help. Here’s how to pick one - a comprehensive guide of suggestions and exam...

22d ago

Up there with how to grind for diamonds and how to pass a hitchhiker song, one of the most hardest parts of this entire game is picking a main theme for a group. Considering how much RP, time and effort you spend to R99 these cards, 100% commitment is necessary for you to focus your energy on a theme. But what happens if you don’t have a slightest clue? Everyone’s mileage may vary. I know when I first started this game almost a decade ago, back when my dad would ground me for being depressed, or I when I would delete this app every other week due to the amount of space that required with my ****** *** phone, I usually picked whichever theme I complete to R first. But realistically that...

Best Affordable Hair Salons?

25d ago

Ladies — need salon recs! Looking for an affordable, good-quality salon preferably in the Kendall area. Last time I tried Supercuts for French bangs + a layered trim… big mistake 😬 and I definitely don’t wanna repeat that! Any stylist recommendations who actually know what they’re doing with bangs and layers and also won’t cost me an arm and a leg?

Haircut for ladies

Hiiii, how trustworthy is the Supercuts on 72nd by Starbucks and Domino’s? Will they butcher cutting layers on medium length hair? Also, what is the usual cost? Thank you!

Any hair salons in Lincoln that could pull off an 80s rockstar kind of look?

33d ago

Wondering if there are any hair salons or anything in Lincoln that can style like 80s rockstar style hair well? I'm a 20 year old guy growing my hair out, going for a Tommy Lee or Warren DeMartini 80s hair look, and idk of anywhere that can pull it off super well. My hairs not long enough for the full look yet anyways but I do wanna at least go in soon to get some layers/shaping done. I've been growing out my hair about a year but before then my whole life it's been short so idk much about good places to go or anything, and I'm scared a place like Supercuts or something they wouldn't be skilled enough to make it look good haha
