In December of last year my co-worker quit self scan and I see on my sechdule im there. Im like oh maybe she on vacation. Then a week goes by I hear from customer and other co-workers oh she quit. Hey all! I'm in Hawaii where ALL groceries are expensive 😩. I've seen a LOT of ppl saying they get them for $2.78 at Walmart, and the same for the new Super Stuffed ones, or whatever they're called 😆. Here in Hawaii, Walmart wants $3.50 or so. We're LUCKY when there's a sale and we can get the normal size for under $4, or the Family Size for around $7. Cereal is even worse, often over $10 a box 📦 😑. So I've been working at my store for a little less than 3 years, am part of the union, yet my pay is still just around $16. My home department is cashier, but I've been working everywhere these past few years such as grocery, scanning, CGO, OPD, customer service, bakery, produce, carts, practically the entire store. If you always wanted an Easter cactus and you have a ShopRite nearby, you may be in luck! I was grocery shopping today and saw them in fuchsia, white and the one I've always wanted but gaver never been able to find "in the wild", orange! $6.99, not bad! Shoprite, a grocery chain popular in my area, oftem has chobani yogurt on sale 5/$5. I really like the lower sugar varieties. no artificial sweeteners, only about 120 calories and 9 grams of sugar for around 12 grams of protein. so that’s been my go too now that I’ve gotten more into yogurt. i also really enjoy Siggi’s, which is incredibly healthy (minimal ingredients with lots of protein and very little sugar, but at around 1.99 per it’s relatively pricey.
