Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Rite Aid Latest Community Discussions About Rite AidBeen No Contact since 2022 ...2d agoCurrently no contact from the only family I've ever known, literally cut off my dad, his 6 sisters, my uncle, and every single cousin. In 1988 in Dakar, Senegal my 19/20ish yr old dad impregnated my 13/14ish yr old mom. Fast forward to 1990 my entire dad's family moved to the United States (myself included) and lost contact with my biological mom. My dad who was 1 of 8 kids was an irresponsible buffoon, so I was given to his older sister (#3). She had me from infancy to age 9 when she decided to move to Florida with her husband and two daughters and chose to leave me in Rhode Island with my Grandparents citing she couldn't deal with my behavioral issues anymore (I was late... Stressing out. Need to be certified by June 30th or kicked out even though hired last August.4d agoHey guys, not gonna lie here I'm really stressing out because my market management cut down the amount of time I have to be certified or finished with PTU. Only problem with that is, I'm only 7% complete through PTU because it counts against my pharmacy hours and I can't really work on it in the pharmacy because we're busy constantly and I have to keep leaving the computer. We took on 3+ pharmacies worth of customers because 2 rite aids and a walgreens closed. Pretty sure a mom and pop shop did too. I just barely learned how to do Inputting and Fill. I have no idea how to do calculations or what any of the drugs are. So naturally I'm pushing to get PTCB certified bu... Is Rite Aid Turning Operational Discipline Into a Turnaround Story?6d agoRite Aid Corporation has been in the spotlight of retail investors for quite some time, often riding sentiment swings tied to the broader pharmacy and health retail sector. What makes Rite Aid a compelling discussion topic today isn’t just its valuation level it’s the narrative around operational discipline and strategic refocusing in a segment that has historically struggled with margin compression and competitive pressure. In recent years, Rite Aid has taken deliberate steps to streamline its store footprint, reduce operating costs, and strengthen core pharmacy services. Unlike big‑box competitors that rely on diversified retail baskets, Rite Aid’s business has always leaned heavi... Pharmacy Opinions6d agoHey Trojans! Im looking for opinions on the CVS pharmacy in Wynantskill on Main. I used the CVS downtown till it closed. I used the Rite Aid on Hoosick till that closed... Im currently using the Walgreens on Hoosick buuuut I find myself more annoyed than satisfied. I understand they have probably absorbed half the city BUT they seem to have stayed a hot mess rolling. Edit: to add a big THANK YOU Everyone! 🎉 Feel free to keep sharing your opinions and experiences. I found this so helpful! 🤗 How to speak with Pharmacist10d agoHow the **** do I get to actually speak to a pharmacist at CVS? The automated line is keeps forcing me to leave a message and request a call back, which I never get. I shouldn’t have to walk into the store to actually speak to the person filling my Rx. One more reason to lament the loss of Rite Aid 😞 Edit to add: My issue was resolved by going in person and I transferred my Rxs to my local pharmacy. They were great! But this post is making me realize how low our expectations are for our healthcare providers in this country. One person won’t improve the system, but if you’re unhappy with an aspect of your healthcare experience I really suggest seeking providers who actually treat yo... TrumpRx should scare you a lot more than you would think11d agoHi I am a pharmacist that has ***** GoodRx for as long as I have been in pharmacy for a few reasons and their new (now a week old) cooperation with TrumpRx is one the most horrifying things I have ever seen. For starters GoodRx is another dystopian invasion of privacy that will definitely be exploited to persecute people. They have had multiple controversies where they have been caught selling patient information (two of the founding members are former Facebook executives so of course they sell your data). A lot of traditional healthcare information is protected by HIPAA, but putting your information into the GoodRx website is not protected and GoodRx settled a case with the FTC for selling... CVS vs WALMART pay Cap11d agoJust wow, how can CVS say it’s a healthcare leader when WALMART just increased its pay cap for regular pharmacy techs to $40.50/hr and lead techs to $42.00/hr and bonuses. That’s over $10 per hour more than CVS. Looks like Walmart wants the best talent and CVS wants to be the next rite aid and Walgreens slowly dieing and bleeding talent. Pharmacies in Bay Ridge?13d agoWhat's your go-to pharmacy since Rite Aid closed? Fml at 42 - anyone near Pittsburgh, Pa?13d agoI've taken between 50-60mg of Adderall XR for many, many, many years. Before covid, everything was mostly going well. Covid hit, ****** up everything, between manufacturing issues and more people getting "diagnosed." For a couple of years after, I was getting the same generic and it worked. Then, Rite Aid shut down and I was screwed again. Now, I'm getting meds from my local grocery store chain. The generic they have changes month to month depending on what the corporate wants. I can't do this **** anymore. The elite brand is atrocious. I am shaky, have no energy, no focus, and am irritable. How and why is this ok?? Do they not realize that when they say I need to ... Are all "commercial walk-in chains" private businesses?14d agoWhat I mean by commercial chains: Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Walgreens, Staples, Kmart, Petsmart, Petco, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ikea, Big Lots, Old Navy, Ross, Marshall's, Barnes & Noble, Five Below, Macy's, JC Penney, Toys R Us, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Dollar Tree, Savemart, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid, Joann's, Michael's, Safeway, GameStop, etc. etc. etc. And that's just stores.... Food/drink: McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, In n Out, Carl's Jr, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, Sonic, Hardees, Subway, Starbucks, Panda Express, Five Guys, Long John Silvers, Bob Evan's, Del Taco, Raising Canes, Johnny Rockets, Red Robin, Denny... Terrifying New Pharmacy Hours15d agoI’m fairly new tech I’ve only been working for about 3 months, and my stores hours have been 9-8 on weekdays and 9-6 and 10-6 on weekends. I’ve started becoming more disillusioned with my job as we absorbed four Rite-aids and are now filling 600 prescriptions on a slow day. We were just told that our hours would extend to 8-10 on weekdays and 9-6 on weekends, but that we will be receiving no extra tech help. Corporate has been on us to get more stuff done and with these new hours I’m starting to wonder if I should run while I have the chance. I’m almost 27, and have no real skills.15d agoAs title says, I’m almost 27(F) and have no real skills. By that I mean I’ve been working in entry level retail positions for nearly a decade, and never managed to move up. I’m still in college, it’s for a bachelor’s degree (biology major) I’ve been working on since 2017. I’m not even sure I’ll be able to pass the remaining courses, because I **** at math and they are mostly chemistry and physics courses. I was in a training program to become a certified pharmacy technician, but the company I did it through (RiteAid) shut down when I was half way through. I tried working at a different pharmacy, but was let go just yesterday as the owner didn’t intend to train someone and... [found] thrifted a cassette with 10+ minutes of slightly different versions of a jingle for a now out of business pharma...16d agoa couple of months ago i came across a tape that just said “Genovese Jingle” at a local goodwill for 99 cents. tbh i thought it was some sort of italian song but had a wave of nostalgia when i hit play and realized they were ads i vaguely remember hearing on the radio as a kid. Genovese was a regional chain that had a bunch of locations near me in CT until they were purchased by Rite Aid iirc. there was one near my grandparent’s house and i used to get pokemon cards there the most interesting thing to me on this tape was the versions that left space for a voiceover, i’m assuming it was so they could add someone live reading copy over it since that take came later in the tape and the... Multiple shapes/colors of the same medication in a single prescription refill bottle?20d agoSo, with the shutting down of rite-aid I had to switch pharmacies to a smaller locally owned one, run by a bunch of old ladies. I'm clearly the only trans person they've ever had to deal with but they're extremely respectful, if not a bit ignorant. Since switching to them though I've noticed my progesterone bottles (and ONLY my progesterone bottles) often come with mixed pill shapes/colors. They're both progesterone I'm pretty sure, because over the years I've gotten both pill shapes/colors depending on the pharmacy and the month, but I find it odd that WITHIN THE SAME BOTTLE sometimes I'm getting two different version of this medication. Specific... Just got hired with no prior experience20d agoWelp, this is honestly a ridiculous story, but I (23F) am going through a lot of transitions right now. I was studying Biomedical Engineering while working at Rite Aid as a pharmacy technician (until they closed) and switched over to nursing this semester. Recently, my friend asked if I wanted to work with her (all I knew was that she works at a gynecologist office). I said sure because I needed a job and whatever, but I wasn’t very invested in it (if that makes sense). I emailed her employer my resume and forgot about it for about a month. The holidays rolled around, and I moved, so I put a pause on the job search. Then, she called me back last week. She asked to do an interview, and I sa... Is it worth it moving to NYC to Miami as a pharmacy tech?20d agoMy mom been thinking about it for a while she has over 20 years of experience hospital and rite aid. Is it worth it moving? FINALLY25d agowas a casualty in Rite Aidmaggedon, as was every Rite Aid employee… dumped by my long-ish term on and off again boyfriend the day after i was laid off… lost my psychiatrist and failed an exam two days after i was laid off… dropped out of college three months later then i became a barista at Starbucks while searching for a new job… but a closed door pharmacy is taking its chances on ME! I AM FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ATTN: if you have Horizon NJ Health (NJ state Medicaid) and use CVS…26d agoAs of May 1, 2026 this plan will no longer be accepted at any CVS location. Source: I’m a pharmacy technician for walgreens. Not to be dramatic, and idk why I’m saying it, PSA I guess. But this is going to cause a \*\*huge\*\* upset. Both Walgreens & CVS are still overwhelmed with Rite Aid’s patients among a pile of other issues. The supply hasn’t been meeting the demand for some time. My job has become a fight to give proper care and solutions to patients. I keep being told to say “we just have to wait and see.” That is not an answer in my opinion. Not for medication. There’s simply not enough resources to handle this change. No one is coming to sav... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
