The AI CEO That Overruled Its Human

1h ago

We run a fully AI-operated store — all strategy, code, design, and marketing handled by AI agents. Last month our CEO agent flagged a GitHub Actions billing blocker and recommended switching to a self-hosted Mac Mini runner before the human realized there was even a decision to make. Here's how it played out: https://ultrathink.art/blog/mac-mini-github-runner?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=engagement

Plastic-free bread

1h ago

For a long time we've been sort of halfway doing it with bread in our endeavors to go plastic-free. I'd get one freshly baked sourdough sandwich loaf from a local bakery coop for me, and one sliced loaf of Hawaiian bread from Grocery Outlet for my husband because he liked it. This week, I didn't buy the sliced loaf, and bought two of the sourdough. They come in paper bags, no plastic at all, and it's the same price as "healthy" plastic-wrapped wheat breads in the stores. My husband is getting used to having to slice our own bread for sandwiches, but I think he sees the value in what we've done this week. Just thought I'd share.

finally found a use for that small tray in the grocery store cart, Z9+Z85mm 1.2 fits perfectly. Did not get many chances...

Where to live in SD if I want to find rich husband

1h ago

I just moved to San Diego from the east coast and was living in the OB/Point Loma area in an Airbnb for a few months to get a feel of the areas. I want to move in the next couple of months to something more permanent but I’m having trouble deciding where to live. I’m 25 y/o single female. I work remote so it doesn’t matter where exactly I live, and I make a decent amount of money so I could spend 4-5k if I wanted, but ideally somewhere between 3-4k feels smarter. Here’s the thing…. since I make a decent amount of money for my age, I want to live where I can find guys who come from money or are making just as much or more to date. I love OB area but I’m very motivated working ...

Have you ever wondered about the mail of previous tenants you receive in your mailbox? People who have spent most of their adult lives as tenants might relate better to that statement. I am writing this to give a recount of an incident that happened to me years ago, something I almost flushed out of my memory until now. Two years ago, I moved fresh into the city of Roverton, Tennessee, for my new job. It was a small gray town right next to the Mississippi River. What I mean by gray is that it had very little in the way of vegetation, and everywhere you could see there was only one thing. Concrete. I didn’t mind it. My daily commute usually involved just driving to work and then driving t...

What rule did I break?

2h ago

I’m very new to Reddit so I’m still confused about the rules. I was on another sub and one of the mods asked a question about if grocery stores should be forced to donate food, with a why or why not? I said they should be incentivized to do so, but not forced. In my opinion it’s a bit of a slippery slope to force private parties to do anything with their property. that was my entire response. The mod ended up banning me. Is it common to get banned on Reddit for giving a response the mod doesn’t like even if it’s civil, and thought out? Should I just avoid post from mods?

Why Aiden Is So Controversial In FvF

2h ago

Oh hot dog, we're coming in with a long post. Get your snacks. Okay so, Aiden. He's a big topic nowadays. Why? Well the Fans vs Favorites season decided, in all its glory, to make him a major player and sort of have a "villain arc." Now this topic has been discussed to death and will continue to be talked about even when the season is over, its THAT popular. Now the only thing left for me to say that others haven't is that we should all calm down, both sides have merit, and- SIKE! Nah we're ragging on this! Now before I get into this post, I wanna say something that may seem like a shock considering how I've been talking about the character and the seas...

Nietzsche blamed the wrong man

2h ago

# I. The Diagnosis Nietzsche was right about almost everything that mattered. The herd is real. Most morality is cowardice with a halo. Resentment drives more human behavior than love ever has, and the man who points this out will always be ***** for it because the comfortable lie serves more people than the uncomfortable truth. The diagnosis was correct. The masses do build moral systems that punish the exceptional for the crime of making mediocrity visible. Slave morality is real. The inversion of values is real. The weak do call their weakness goodness and the strong do get punished for refusing to pretend that smallness is a virtue. Grant all of it. Every word. But the diagnosis is n...

Shopify Clothing & Fashion Store with $153K Revenue Valuation & Potential Sale

2h ago

We’re seeking a realistic valuation for a established Shopify store in the clothing and fashion niche, which has generated approximately $153,000 in revenue over the past 12 months, with an average net profit margin of around 50%. The brand has been carefully developed with a strong niche focus, supplier relationships, and a proven sales history. However, we’re currently shifting focus to a new project, so we’re exploring the possibility of selling the business to the right buyer who can continue to grow and scale it. We’re open to discussions with serious buyers and would value insight into the store’s current market worth based on its financial performance, brand assets, and fu...

How do you guys bag/drop off items?

2h ago

I’m going on my first shopping trip tomorrow. I am Canadian and we no longer have single use bags at most stores. So do you guys just unload all groceries onto people’s porches? Do people often expect to be handed your reusable bag? Not sure how that part works.

How screwed am I with this job history?

2h ago

So I work store side retail in various levels of management roles, mostly clothing retail. I worked for company A for 6 years, promoted upwards almost yearly and it was also my first job. I eventually left after a bankruptcy announcement and started at Company B, about a year in Covid hit and I went with Company C because it was more of an “essential” retailer and I saw it as more job security. About another year goes by and i return to company B, this time sticking around for 3 years before returning to company C again. I wanted a different role with a more specialized focus that was unavailable at Company B, and was able to get that at company C this time around. About a year in I ...

Any Alternatives To Getting A Mac for iOS Development?

2h ago

Currently I'm living on savings and have been building my first app. It's reached the testing phase and I wanted to port it to iOS (from Unity). This is my first time going through this entire process so excuse me for the ignorance, I didn't know owning a Mac (Xcode) was a pre-requisite. So before I drop like $800 on a mac mini I was wondering if there were any other cheaper alternatives I could look at just for testing my app? It is a bit risky for me to spend this amount of cash just to see if there is a market for my product so I was wondering if there were any other ways I could go about getting my app to the app store or at least testing it on my iPhone? Thanks!

The $22,000 "Singles Tax": Why solo earners in NS are the ultimate economic outlier in 2026

2h ago

I spent time today working on 2025's income tax and mapping out my budget for the remainder of the year and it was a frustrating wake-up call. While the headlines are focused on the new 14% federal tax rate and our own HST finally dropping to 14%, it feels like the actual tax code has decided that if you live alone, you are a luxury unit that doesn't deserve the same breathing room as a couple or a family. I am a professional in Halifax, so I am dealing with some of the highest local costs in the country. When you look at what actually hits your bank account in 2026, the gap between a solo earner and a dual-income household is a clear display of how the system is weighted against ...
