Hey guys, I drove up to Uganda from Kenya for the Easter break. I have been trying to find a really good local Ugandan restaurant with proper local food. Something like Koodi, but even better. There used to be a spot next to Acacia Mall that I absolutely loved. They had all food plus goat offals for around 35k. It was honestly the tastiest Ugandan food I have had, but it seems like it is no longer there. I am looking for local joints you genuinely swear by. You basically describe what you want, and it generates a layout for you — no need to manually design everything from scratch. I tried it recently, and honestly, the output wasn’t that great. As a driver, I have two insulated bags I always use. This does not include the pizza bags I got for free from Door Dash and Pizza Hut. When I’m delivering, I always put the customer’s food in the insulated bags. Even orders where some items are hot and some are cold, I separate into different insulated bags. I have noticed that I’ve even had some extra tips added to orders because their food arrives at the correct temperature. But for some reason, when I’m the customer, I’m shocked at how often my food arrives ice cold when it should be hot. Just wanted to vent. Absolutely infuriating every time it asks for the pizza bag photo. It says it helps you complete an "active challenge" as if they'll pay you extra to use it, but that is complete bullshit. Anybody else feel that tipping used to be an enjoyable, or at least a not annoying, experience, that actually mattered? There was something about calculating 15% after a special occasion and manually writing it in the receipt, or leaving cash in the binder with the corner sticking out a little bit, so they know you tipped.
