The 'Discloser' of my NDA is Deceased...

5h ago

I signed an NDA with the CEO of the restaurant group that I managed for (Location: Knox County, TN, USA) being the discloser and myself as being the recipient. The discloser is now deceased and following his death, I have left the company. Am I still bound to the NDA I signed? If so, can I share my NDA with my new employer to ensure I am not breaking it? My NDA includes 'procedures know-how'...

Is Pequod's a deliverable pizza?

5h ago

I know they deliver, I see it on the website, but is it worth it to have it delivered to the hotel Sofitel? Does having it delivered cause it to lose it's integrity? We're only in town for a limited time and I'm not sure a trip to a sit down restaurant fits in our itinerary. I'm hyping this pizza up to my girlfriend like it's the second coming of Christ. Will it be just as good delivered or should I just go ahead and cancel our reservations to the conservatory now?

Marine Drive needs a real oyster house

8h ago

I grew up in White Rock, graduated high school in '89, spent my formitive years on the beach, worked in many restaurants there. It kind of ***** now. What happened to the restaurant scene? Don't tell me that it's impossible to run a successful restaurant there. Charlie's is a dump, but it's been there since I was in high school. It does well because it's the kind of food you expect to eat at the beach. I LOVE ethnic foods, but I dont want to eat ethnic on the beach. We have a million Indian, Japanese, Chinese restaurants in the Lower Mainland. If someone put a real oyster house like Rodney's on Marine Dr., it would kill. I would prefer an ice cold...

Alright, San Jose, let's get on the same page!

8h ago

I saw they made the post asking for restaurant suggestions over on Bluesky, presumably also on IG. I'm surprised they didn't do it here yet. Let's make a good first impression, so no Taco John suggestions, alright? Many of us love Taco Bravo, but we're not going to seriously suggest that, okay? Good first impression so they come back, we can do joke restaurants for farts if they come a second time. So as I see it there are a couple places of note: Pizza My Heart: Good solid slice house and it's affordable and accessible with a nice surfer theme. It's not just a Bay Area chain, it's a South Bay chain--they have restaurants as far north as San Mateo on the ...

Question on people who get denied/banned for searching too fast

9h ago

Or something like that. I can't remember what the wording actually is, might be because I am tired. But my question is, is there a warning before you go to redeem something or does it happen before hand? I used to do my tasks far too fast in the past. One after the other. I slow it down now don't know if it will effect things for when I finally redeem my reward. I am aiming for either the Boston Pizza gift card (which I already have enough of) or am building up for the Ultimate Dining Card. Of which I am like 5 points away from 54 dollars. Oh, for those unaware of the Ultimate Dining card or don't have it, it might be a Canadian only thing. It's your choice of 8 differen...

Palazzo vs. Venetian: My take on which is better

11h ago

So before I stayed at the newly renovated rooms at The Venetian, I always loved The Palazzo as the rooms were more modern and bigger. Now, after completing my stay at The Venetian in their new renovated room, I'd like to compare the two properties again to see which one is better. Here is my take on the hardest resort question on the Las Vegas strip. Parking: Palazzo wins in this category even though it is a minor detail. It is very convenient to park your car here compared to the Venetian garage. Palazzo has an underground parking lot, and there are two banks of elevators (correct me if I'm wrong) that take you up to The Palazzo. The first takes you toward the main check-in area...

UPDATE: AITAH for telling my “picky” BIL that I wont change how I cook to accommodate him?

11h ago

Original post: [https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/s/w0H8oni61G](https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/s/w0H8oni61G) Okay, wow. I was not expecting that last post to **** up like it did. Thank you to everyone that shared their opinions about the situation; y’all helped me realize that I wasn’t being some jerk there.. and that I needed to stop letting people walk all over me. I’ve struggled with that for most of my life and I’m trying to do better. **Onto the update. It’s a small one, there wasn’t a huge blowup. I wasn’t expecting to update this quickly, but my sister and BIL.. If nothing else, they have audacity.** They spent the entire day downstairs today, besides when they went out ...

Buffalo Pizza (Circle Jerk Style)

11h ago

Buffalo is objectively the global capital of pizza and it’s honestly generous of the rest of the country to even keep trying. Places like New York City and Chicago are still stuck chasing “balance” and “presentation,” while Buffalo has already achieved pizza’s final form. There’s something incredibly bold about rejecting the shallow, photogenic standards of other styles. That signature slightly off-color, flash-resistant cheese you get from institutions like La Nova and Bocce Club Pizza is a reminder that great pizza isn’t meant to be captured—it’s meant to be experienced (preferably under dim lighting where it can’t be fully understood). And the pepperoni? Unreal. Ot...

She will always be there for me.

11h ago

This is a story of some events that happened to me almost 2 years ago now. Now I’ve never been one to hyperfocus on the paranormal, that was Sarah's thing. What I will say however is this story contains things that to this day I still can't explain and neither can the Wonderland City Police Department. So please take this for what you will, I just figured there would be someone out there who understands and appreciates this for what it was. Chapter One: August 2nd 2024 It was cold, dark and damp, the smell of petrichor in the air, and a dark swirling mist, so thick that it’d seemed even the most brilliant of lights would be unable to pass through, complimen...

I need a new home-away-from-home bar in LC

12h ago

I loved the Bosque even if it was cold enough to freeze the beer. Now it is gone and my life is over......well, not really but I need a new place to go for lunch and a beer. I probably know most of the suggestions. I would like it to be within a 10 minute drive of the East Mesa. Sever beer. Have lunch on weekdays (Little Toad is only open on weekends for lunch), and have a menu beyond just pizza (NY Slice) Have internet (The Game's is always down). I don't mind a small chain but I don't want it to FEEL like a chain. (Farley's, Bubba's). Serve beer (the Thai restaurant in Organ) Where would you go for a lunchtime brew and burger?

Week 15: Syrian - Falafel and Hummus

12h ago

I always wanted to try making falafel, because I love it and don't get to eat it enough, so I took this week's theme as my sign to finally do it. I followed Kenji's recipe (https://www.seriouseats.com/the-food-lab-vegan-experience-best-homemade-falafel-recipe), and it turned out exactly as well as I hoped. I did take the opportunity of deciding to make falafel to finally buy a nice food processor, since this is a recipe I legit could not make work without one. Pie dough, pizza dough, fine mincing are all pretty doable without a food processor, if a little labor intensive and annoying, but grinding raw chickpeas into a pebbly batter is definitely not. I serendipitously managed ...

Chinese food is not designed for dining alone. I end up with 1 giant bowl of rice and 1 food item.

12h ago

Hi Everyone, I live alone somewhere where I'm the only foreigner in what Grok AI describes as a lower than tier 6 city with an urban population of 130,000. There is 1 McDonalds here and some fried chicken restaurants that never seem to put enough salt in the food. I think I've seen 1 pizza place here but I dare not step foot inside after some of the atrocious pizzas I've had in other parts of China. If I'm eating alone I can get noodles but literally every noodle restaurant sells the same oily red Sichuan noodles and I can't eat the same thing every day. If I don't want noodles the dining situation is not friendly to me. Hotpot is out of the question and I do...

Would anyone benefit from a post about Lyme friendly diet substitutions/tips?

12h ago

Hello all, My partner has had Lyme for about 16 years, 10 of which we’ve been together. I have learned so much about nutrition since being with him and now I consider myself pretty knowledgeable of all things Lyme/chronic inflammatory illness particularly from a diet perspective and we hardly notice his dietary restrictions anymore until we are with a group of people that want to order Pizza Hut or something. I’m sure most everyone here is very familiar with the standard Lyme diet (no sugar, gluten, dairy etc), and that’s what my boyfriend was mostly following for the first several years of his diagnosis, which helped tremendously but left his food options pretty limited at times (fr...
