Hi, all! 30F located in Bayside. I’m looking for a consistent gym partner. I have memberships with guest passes to both Planet Fitness and LA Fitness. I really enjoy swimming and don’t even need a partner to do what I do at the gym, just bare minimum need someone to help motivate me. I used to work out quite often but after a car accident reeeally fell off. I lost 100lbs in a year and ended up slowly regaining all over it the past five years. I’ve found it difficult to be consistent like I used to be and currently don’t have anyone in my circle who is consistent/doesn’t cancel last minute. I prefer early morning workouts due to my wok schedule but can be flexible :)

LA Fitness was a great stop for me. I am traveling around Ohio recording reviews of gyms on TikTok. LA Fitness is massive. They have 50 or so pieces of cardio upstairs. Sauna, 4 lane lap pool cardio room spin room, 4 racks of dumbbells from 5lbs-100lbs. It was clean for being roughly 12-15 years old. They have a ton of equipment/machines. they have a plyo area as well. Kettle bells, Tires, Weighted sleds so on. They had staff in the locker rooms cleaning and out on the floor cleaning. Okay seriously! Where are my serious gym goers going for a workout? (Filming friendly gym). I’ve tried just about it everything and here’s the breakdown: GoodLife - great for beginners but the people there have no gym etiquette. It’s full of boomers who don’t put their weights back and have staring problems. Sky fitness - great for non beginners and for people who like to film their workouts. However, this is a trainer gym so these dudes will be training 4 people at once and taking up all the space/equipment. Also for $70 per month, there’s literally 0 amenities. From Houston and all other surrounding commercial gyms have this basic setup but this signature LA fitness gym has none? What kinda bs is this

I’ve only gone to various branches of blink, crunch, ny and Boston sports clubs, and LA Fitness. Except for an outlier branch or two they’re all in a tight range of poor quality and monthly cost of between $20-40 a month. Then the next step is a huge leap to $200+ a month at Equinox, Lifestyle, or other boutique gyms. For people who’ve gone to both types, do you think you really get an interval $180+ increase in fitness benefits? I feel like my workouts are complete at budget chain gyms and im reaching my goals but they are just so frustrating and sketchy sometimes.

So I'm wanting to join through usaa and I've seen super conflicting info about whether a&f has LA fitness as an option. I cant get the website itself to show a single LA fitness location on direct or now, however when I called my location they said the rep said accept the membership and I just need my membership number/code to sign me up. She said sometimes it wont populate but they accept the membership. Online of course people are saying they pulled out of the program but some people are able to go just fine. It is disappointing to hear that LA Fitness is moving forward with closing the basketball courts at the Totem Lake location in Kirkland. After speaking with the local management, it sounds like the decision is being driven by concerns over low return on investment and the liabilities associated with "court drama" and potential altercations. While I understand the business perspective regarding ROI I hope they have considered a few alternatives: \* Additional Membership Fees: Many members, myself included, would gladly pay an extra monthly fee specifically for court access to ensure the space remains profitable. Finishing up my online cert and looking for a gym to get some experience and ive been looking at LA fitness and i have 2 major questions 1. The pay. Everybody says the pay is different from advertised but my question is how different? In my area of AZ google says \~51k/yr but how much could i actually be expecting as an entry level trainer. 2. Everybody says bad things about the PT experience for pretty much every major commercial gym with LA fit included. Is LA fitness' experience worse than say EoS for example?

I’m in Hespeler and I’ve been a member at crunch for probably 10 years or more. It’s just going downhill lately. Just learned the best spin class instructor is gone because they have a new rule that instructors have to teach at least two classes a week. It doesn’t work for him. They tried to do this back in January and a ton of people complained so they held off. Found out by an email today from the gym. **** rules to lose the best spin instructor they have. From what I am hearing, a few instructors are leaving. So I’m looking. Anyone like LA Fitness? Looking for recommendations. Thank you!

Heard that it’s being converted to a Club Studio type with $200 monthly dues. When are they going to inform their subscribers?

Just heard that the LA Fitness at Bee Ridge Rd and Tamiami Trail is closing on April 6. Does anyone know what the plans are for that building? I’m curious if another gym might take over the space, or if the property will get redeveloped into something else like condos, apartments, or retail.

Hello, As some of you may be aware, one of the larger gyms in the norwalk area is closing, LA fitness. This gym has a sauna and with its closing I'm now searching for a new gym with a sauna facility. I do know the Edge fitness club on westport ave has one, but I wanted to see if any other gyms have one? The edge gets super busy and more so now as its losing a competitor. Please share any sauna insights you may have or favorite gyms in norwalk. Thanks!

I have had a personal training contract at LA Fitness for 4 sessions a month. It’s been an unprofessional mess from the start. Early on they switched my trainer twice with them quitting, and the trainer I ended up with canceled on me a few times after that. Next my trainer was gone for a month and wasn’t supposed to be back until March 9. The only substitute trainer they offered works weekday mornings, which is when I’m at work, so that was off the table. I spoke with the fitness director and asked if they could pause billing or credit the sessions since I can’t attend during those hours.
