I posted on reddit yesterday about my location’s employees giving my information to people outside the gym who want to harm me and not only have I been banned from that location, I’m also banned from another random location I went to today that has nothing to do with anything. They’re putting lies in my notes to flag my account. They made someone file a police report against me yesterday for God knows what while they were supposed to be doing an internal investigation and “getting back to me.” They’re moving super shady.

Hey everyone, I recently started training for a triathlon. I'm about 10 weeks into a 20 week program and I've consistently been ramping up my training where I'm doing up to 3ish hour bike rides on fridays. One problem I just began to notice recently is that when I push down on the pedal, my left knee gets this bad twinge feeling. The best way I can describe its location is the back left/outside part of my left knee. I know I'm **** and the way I've been training as of now has been on a stationary bike at LA fitness which doesn't have a way for me to clip in with cleats. I'm a class person and lives in a metro area, i have 3 Organetheory, 3 stretchlab, 2 Club Pilates, 2 YogaSix, 1 Rumble, 2 la fitness, and one EOS, 24hr, cyclebar, PlanetFitness, F45, 9Round less than 15 minutes drive. I constantly go to OT 8x, SL 4x, CP 4x, Y6 4x, and F45 2-6x, LA Fitness and some other classes out of my area if go out or happen to go certain area like SolidCore, Nike Studios etc. In my market, paying these seperatly will cost OT $129 SL $189 CP $129? Y6 $119 Cyclebar $69 F45 $189(8 class membeship)/2=\~$95 LA \~$40 and this is already $770 if i pay separately, and i hasn't counted other locations I go sometimes, including those I go when I'm travel...

hi folks. i’ve been in riv a long time and typically go to la fitness or workout from home. i’m looking to join a boutique gym but worry that they will all be MAGA/MAGA adjacent owned. are there private gyms close to downtown that are owned by non-maga or by poc? thanks!

Kind of a very minute minute question but just curious: when Aaptiv charges you monthly, what is the spending category it shows up as? My previous LA Fitness membership showed up as a "fitness club" whereas my first Aaptiv charge (which included a $25 signup fee along with the monthly fee) shows up as "Merchandise - Direct Marketing - Continuity Subscription". I ask because I have a credit card that earns more rewards for "fitness club" or "gym membership" and may need to optimize my credit card strategy if others have the Aaptiv charge show up as "general spending"

Recently started going to LA fitness, it’s an upgrade from my previous gym. And it’s in a pretty nice area. I went today and seen lots of older men. Is this a good gym to go to?

moving to the area, want to join a gym thats nicer than LA fitness. I do need some equipment, at the very least a cable machine for chest cable pulls. Other than that the standard deadlift set up and what not. I don't need cardio, my apartment has it. Which is better? I don't want to go to war for equipment after work. Which gym will always have a spot at night, around 6 or 7? thanks!

Hi everyone. As the title says, I’m looking for a good and clean indoor pool to do my own free-swim. I don’t need lessons or classes, I just want to swim at my own pace as a means of working out. I’ve looked at the Melrose and the Lynn YMCA, LA fitness and Lifetime. The cheaper, cleaner and most access to free-swim time as possible is what’s important to me. Obviously a balance of all. It feels like the fitness scene is seriously lacking in Cambridge, and there are zero upscale facilities. Waterloo & Guelph have things like Movati, hustl & Flow, etc. While Cambridge has LA Fitness & Club Pilates.. So far I've toured the Crunch & LA Fitness.. Crunch is Jam Packed and LA fitness feels like a hotel gym. Fit4Less isn't really my vibe.. what else is there? Fuzion? Would love a Movati in Cambridge! haha

Hi! I’ve been waiting to rejoin LA Fitness and recently received a really good promotional offer by email. The promotion didn’t mention guest privileges in the title, but I’m interested in adding them. I’ve seen that guest privileges have been $5 extra for new members, but I can’t find an option to add that amenity during the sign-up process. Do I need to purchase the membership first and then add guest privileges for $5, or would it cost $20 if added afterward? Thank you!

I vacationed to the East Coast last month and was just stunned how busy like .. everything is. The parks. The neighborhoods. You can walk two or three blocks and see hundreds of people it's a sight to see. And since coming back to LA it just feels, different. Other than the traffic and maybe that time I went to the Grove around Christmas (or the WeHo Halloween Carnival), everything feels so isolated. Are there places or neighborhoods that have that feeling? I was thinking possibly Venice and Abbott Kinney. A little about me: I am old, and weak. I was very athletic, a cyclist on a sponsored team. About 10,000 miles per year. Raced competitively. Until I didn't. 2023, broken femur, titanium rods and screws. 2024, failed back surgery (twice) with a broken vertebra in between times. 2 rods, 10 screws, 5 vertebra fused into one long solid bone. Left leg very impaired. Can walk maybe 300 yards a day total. So now, I cannot ride a bike - at all. I also cannot lift any weight that would load my spine. Hi there! I recently came across an ad showing that LA Fitness now offers reformer classes. I haven’t been to the gym in a couple of years so I was unaware of this. I was grandfathered into a low monthly membership price when Bally’s and LA Fitness merged. Since the fee is really affordable, I never thought to cancel during my “break” to not lose out on the deal. I’m wondering if I were to add the studio membership to my account, would it affect my current grandfathered membership price if I decided to cancel the studio membership in the future? Am I able to just cancel the add-on membership and go back to my normal membership fee? Any info would be really helpful. Thanks!

Need help choosing between the two. I play fairly often at a dusty LA fitness court, and at a more well maintained court for my men’s league games. Can get the Gt Cut Academy for $72 total and the New Balances for $106 Considering the price and overall shoe quality/performance. Which would you pick?
