Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the LA Fitness Latest Community Discussions About LA FitnessLA Fitness7h agoDoes anyone go to LA Fitness off the 15th street exit? I just signed up and I’m looking for a workout buddy Anyone interested in a gym partner?8h agoI’m 28, M and live in the middle of Bayonne near Broadway Easy access to the LA Fitness, Planet Fitness or the Forum on 25th If anyone’s looking to get started in the gym or is pretty bad at going regularly like I am, let me know! Merritt Club vs. LA Fitness: Which is Better?8h agoTrying to find a new gym and settled on Merritt vs. LA Fitness, but im trying to decide which. They both have their benefits, but Merritt’s guest policy is friendlier and they have 24 hr options, while LA Fitness has more locations and better pools. Anybody have any thoughts? LA Fitness vs OneLife Fitness10h agoI am considering signing up to either LA Fitness or OneLife Fitness and would like to hear others' experience. Specifically I'm interested in how crowded the weight lifting area gets, the number of squat racks, and how clean the locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers are kept. Also I heard the LA Fitnesses have got or is supposed to get renovations, including the LIFT concept which adds a bunch of squat racks, does anyone know if the LA Fitnesses in Northern Virginia have these renovations? Which gym would you recommend? Thanks. Local gym question13h agoHi everyone, I had a question and wanted to get a general sense of local perspectives. I’m a *********** woman (on the taller side, so I’m aware I can stand out a bit) and I’ve been going to LA Fitness in the St. Petersburg area for years. I haven’t had any issues so far, but I haven’t used the women’s restroom/locker room yet and wanted to get a feel for how that’s generally perceived locally. For those familiar with the gyms in this area, what’s the general vibe or expectation when it comes to trans women using the women’s restroom/locker room? Is it something people tend to be accepting of, or are there any concerns I should be mindful of? Not looking to start any arg... Is the clientele good?14h agoI’m thinking of joining Lifetime so I don’t have to deal with the trash at LA Fitness and Planet Fitness. I don’t want to deal with cell phone speaker conversations and people recording every lift they do. Is this a reasonable expectation? I haven't really found anything that matches my style, but the top two I've come across are LA Fitness and FFC South Loop. My current gym is a smaller, more boutique-style strength gym that has heavier dumbbells, kettlebells, etc. Not things found at commercial gyms. I'll be relocating to Chicago soon due to return to office mandate. I'm looking for something bikeable and/or walkable. Problem in the locker room AITHA?1d agoWent to work out at my local LAF ,which honestly I've never been that much of a fan of, but it's cheap and close to home so I deal with it. I plop my bag down on a locker room bench and start getting changed. Dude sitting on the bench next to me is what I assumed was speaker phone with a women and at first I didn't think to much of it. I'm about to take my pants off and I just turned around and I see the guy full on facetime with this person and me right in the shot. I asked the guy politely "hey man, can you not facetime here in the locker room when other people are here that's really inappropriate" Dude responds "Then you can go somewhere else.&... Question for mangers - how do you like the job (esp pay and schedule)?1d agoI have been offered a sales role at an la fitness. I’m in my 40s and have worked in a different industry for my entire career…but I’m burned out and need a change. I like the energy of a fitness environment and it helps keep me motivated to work out. But the pay is not good. And the hours sound kind of bad (a lot of evening shifts which means less time with my bf and his son). Is it worth it to give this job a try in the hopes of moving quickly to a manager role? What does the pay/schedule for a manager look like? Junction Toronto Pool Outside Swim School Expansion1d agoIf you’re a swimmer at the Junction Toronto location take note that there will now only be one lane available weekend mornings. The lady at the front desk said it was because there wasn’t much usage during the weekend mornings, yet I had to wait 40 minutes today for a late, behind two other people and my partner who had come with the intention of swimming didn’t even bother. If you’re planning to join a gym for the pool only (like we did) make sure to get the full schedule if third party classes and aquafit. Customer service number is 949-255-8277. LA FITNESS HERE WE COME2d agoLA FITNESS HERE WE COME2d agoMy employer wants me to go in despite a 103 fever2d agoI’m barely able to type so forgive my bad spelling. I am really not feeling great today. I have a high fever (it is fluctuating) and have been at Disney parks for 2 days with my family. My employer told me 2 days ago I’d be working today (not planned originally) I am sick. For context I work with young children. As young as only a few months old. I teach kids how to swim part time at an la fitness through a different company that had a contract with La fitness. They’ve stopped responding to me not sure if I’ll qualify for unemployment if they fire me and claim I willingly left. I made it very clear I’d be liable if I got anyone sick and could lose my certifications. Anyways jus... Active&Fit Direct Question2d agoHey everyone, I’ve been an Active&Fit Direct member for almost two years, and my primary LA Fitness location is going to be under renovation for the next two weeks. Does anyone know if I’m eligible to go to other nearby LA Fitness locations during this time, or am I restricted to just that one? La Fitness is closing 7th gym in Mpls area...3d agoIt was 16 of La Gyms around metro and in last 5 years they close 6 and 7th is on way. So why La do it. How much I see they are busy in metro area. best gym for regular gym-goers3d agohey yall. for locations sake i live right off curry ford closer to downtown; takes me about 10 minutes to get to sodo. ive tried crunch and la fitness since living over here, both are insanely busy at all times of day. i typically go around 10/11am due to work schedule, but ive tried every other time of day other than going at like 5am… and i work til 4am some nights so that doesnt really work for me lol. i go to the gym 6-7 days/week and use lots of free weights and machines. i pay almost $40/month for la right now and for how absolutely packed it is and people often using machines to do parkour or chill on their phone, i am unsatisfied. i’m willing to pay a premium price at this point ... Best LA Fitness Location?4d agoBest LA Fitness Location?4d agoWhat’s your favorite LA fitness location in LA or the valley? Sales Department Time Clock Culture/Etiquette4d agoHi, I apologize if this isn’t the correct place to ask. So I recently (Less than a month) started working for LA Fitness in the sales department. I’m the type to read everything I’m signing (Policies, Handbooks, etc.) Like most of my prior experience that require clocking in and out, IIRC the policy here says not to round to the nearest hour, and to be as accurate as possible and that “Every Minute Counts” Unlike previous experience, I clock in through the employee Website/Portal and have the capability of adjusting my time card whenever throughout the day and then confirm it the next day before I “Clock in” for the following shift. I actually do take my time on the clock s... Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
