While most residents fled during the escalation, some stayed behind by choice or for lack of another option. Israeli airstrikes destroyed key bridges linking the south to the rest of the country, leaving them trapped and cut off under intense bombardment. Humanitarian workers withdrew as health care staff faced near-daily attacks and ongoing bombardment forced people to stay indoors. Local health care pr... How do you prepare salo?18m agoпривіт! I just picked up some salo from my local Eastern European grocery store in hopes of trying new Ukrainian foods as I've adored everything I've tried so far. However, it's been daunting to even look at sitting in the freezer as I can be very food paranoid (especially when it comes to meat). The packaging says to cook thoroughly, but I've always seen it eaten raw—is this just a legal thing? Do I need to do anything to it before I eat it? Many of the photos I've seen online have pink meat inside as well, but mine seems to just be the skin and fat. Is that normal? I have black bread and some kvass to serve with it, but would also know if any of you hav... Vomit is usually watery or a bit foamy. No food or hairballs in vomit. Happens commonly after using the litterbox and in the mornings/evenings. Tried Pepcid but it didn’t help and he didn’t like the taste of the pill in his wet food. He has a history of pica and he has arthritis in his left hip. Cat is strictly indoors. Have 3 other cats without symptoms. Gets 1/3c Purina One Indoor Senior Cat dry food and tbsp of various senior wet cat foods with 1 capsule Cosequin. Relevant clinical signs: only the vomiting. Otherwise he seems fine. Even plays a litt... Best BBQ in denver?1h agoI have a few friends visiting from Mexico and they really want to try BBQ while in the USA. What are the best BBQ restaurants in denver? Bonus: feel free to recommend any other restaurants with great classic American food, primarily looking for dinner recs What happened to my appetite?!?1h agoSo since last summer I've been having great success (meaning after years of trying the scale FINALLY started moving lol). I was eating 1200, doing the elliptical for 60 minutes a day, and losing about 3lbs a month. Lost 18lbs over 6 months and I was ecstatic. I was intermittent fasting, eating super high protein and fiber, and never hungry. Then in March I got two head colds in a row and herniated a disc and then got a stomach bug, all overlapping each other, lasting over a period of six weeks. By that point I had only missed 3 days at the gym since Thanksgiving, so not going to the gym for 6 weeks in a row was devastating. For the first bit when I couldn't taste anything I l... I'm stuck in a place called Candletown. Please help me. [Part 1]1h agoHas anyone ever heard of this place? Because I'm stranded here. It's a ghost town unlike I've ever seen, and I'm an avid explorer who's been to many a ghost town. Let me back up to the beginning though. I like to travel. Specifically, I like to travel to nowhere. Small, middle-of-the-empty towns, isolated parks, and, of course, forgotten ghost towns, things of that nature. I'm actually working on a travel series called "Nowheresville, USA," documenting my adventures to places like this. Well this time, I was headed out to the middle of Nevada, way out in the desert to a small ghost town called Havensburg. It is *way* out there, like, so far out in th... Has anyone done 3.75mg?1h agoI'm on my 3rd week of 2.5mg and while the food noise has quieted slightly, I don't think it's doing a lot. I am down 4lbs but am also eating keto as I'm a T2. Instead of jumping right to 5mg after my 4th 2.5mg dose, I was thinking to combine my 4th dose and golden dose (via syringe) but take only 3.75mg so it is a smaller increase. I'd then get the 5mg pen and depending on how I do on 3.75mg, either continue with that dose or increase to 5mg. Does that make sense? Thoughts? [Hiring] $50.00USD going out now. Since then, lobster bisque has unfortunately been having ongoing diarrhea and vomiting. This is the schedule of the diarrhea and vomiting so far. Tuesday: liquid diarrhea Wednesday: liquid diarrhea Thursday: no poop Friday: first solid poop followed by liquid diarrhea Saturday: he vomited in the early hours of the morning two times. Once was all of his food from the last 24 hours and the other was just bile. He also had extremely liquid diarrhea. It was on Saturday that we called the rescue. We got him from and they told us that they were going to call their emergency vet and have them make an appointment ... Excellent way to learn a work ethic when your young. 2. a poll worker/election administrator. Elections are foundational to the USA. More people should know how they are run from the inside. Election infrastructure is also a critical infrastructure so this fills a national security need. I also asked this question on r/askaconservative if anyone is curious a few days ago: [If you could recommend 2 jobs everyone do, what would they be? Ideas/Advice wanted for healthy and low cost calorie increase /higher calorie foods2h agoHello, I have about 3-4 months left (estimated) of my weight loss journey until I reach my goal weight of 185, (currently 223). Right now, I do 1,250 a day, and a cheat day every 2 weeks, it works great, the pounds fly off fast. Last year at this time. I was 313, and was pre-diabetic, I reversed that in 3 months (calorie restriction, and keto diet), and my past 3 blood tests have been perfect blood sugar results, as well as all else normal, and also much better cholesterol as well "lowest I've seen in 10 years" according to my doctor. So, I don't need help with losing weight, I am pretty good and disciplined at it, but I am wanting to be proactive because what I will ... Just one country or two?2h agoLooking for more nature/cultural/food/temple/ruins/ethical animal related trip rather than beaches and big cities for the most part. As beautiful as I’m sure the beaches there are, I live close to the Caribbean so I can get that type of experience anytime very easily. And I generally dislike big cities (at least in the USA). Started off my research by looking at Thailand, especially the northern region around Chiang Mai. Thinking we want to spend 7 days in the area, 5 for Chiang Mai (1: old town and Sunday night market 2: ENP + cooking class, 3: Doi Inthanon and Loy Krathong 4: Doi Suthep and Yi Peng 5: sticky waterfall and/or bamboo rafting + food tour) and 2 in Chiang Rai (the city itse... Family's first time in London - what are we missing?2h agoMy little family (2 adults, 1 five year old) are visiting London from the USA in a couple weeks (mid-May).
