I saw a map of most popular grocery stores by state, and thought "what if we had a civil war based on this?" A week later I came up with this. I looked at which stores were most common, which were most "popular", and then general distribution for 30+ chains to come up with the borders, which i smoothed out along natural features that would serve as decent borders/entrenched battle lines. I've also omitted most nationwide chains assuming they more or less got stretched too thin/don't have enough regional identity to take regional control.

or the first time in my entire life of shopping for Ginger in a grocery store, I saw super fresh ginger at H-E-B today (2/25) at Morton Ranch. I am literally blown away. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen fresh as f ginger anywhere in a grocery store. It’s fragrant, it’s juicy, skin is light and thin not tough or papery. I am eating it raw.

As of Wednesday, February 25, the ginger in the H-E-B on Morden Ranch is fresh as F. The freshest ginger I’ve ever seen in a grocery store in my entire life. If you’re a ginger fan, go get it now because it has never been better than it is there today.

Was grocery shopping with the wife like I always do and check out the hot wheels look like they were setting some out on display and this was the only gold car on the entire rack. Turned out to be a real winner!
