Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Giant Eagle Store Latest Community Discussions About Giant Eagle StoresDrama free bourbon hunting @GE Lancaster3d agoThere have been a lot of negative stories these past couple weeks about line skippers, line fights, stores not giving out product, stores releasing product a day early, etc… I wanted to share a story from this morning that shows why a lot of us do it. It’s somewhat long winded so just don’t read it if you’re not interested. I, like most of us, don’t have some inside source or anything so I watch the daily reports and if it looks like a good week, I plan on going to my Giant Eagle on Saturday (Lancaster GE). It looked like Stagg was going to be around today and I’ve had a year-long, comically sad series of events pertaining to me acquiring one. I’m sure I’m not the only on... Perusing the grocery store daily4d agoMy father and I have a daily routine of visiting our local Giant Eagle. He's in his 80's now and loves to play his lottery tickets. I'm disabled and can't drive, so it works out for me as well. This might seem counter intuitive but over the past several years of us doing this on a regular basis, I've snagged some fantastic deals. The other big deal we got recently was spiral sliced hams steeply marked down below $8. I got one for myself, and my dad bought 3, (one for himself, and two for his sisters). They've since gone up in price as of right now. But sometimes it seems to be just being in the right place at the right time. https://preview.redd.it/xqy4... Daily Discussion - Saturday 12/20/254d agoPlease report and discuss what interesting products you're seeing at stores today. Many Giant Eagle stores (mostly in Columbus and now in the Northeast) and Ale Wine and Spirits have an arrangement with the state to delay visibility of certain products in their online inventory until Saturdays even if it was delivered to the store earlier in the week. These stores may also hold back some of the rare bourbons that they receive in their weekly delivery to [release on Saturday](https://www.reddit.com/r/OhioLiquor/comments/i01v77/saturday_release/) mornings. Many highly allocated products are still fully hidden on OHLQ.com but I don't fully understand the logic behind it yet. On the hunt for Digestive Cookies (biscuits). Any grocery stores confirmed to have them?8d agoI would like to find some Digestive Cookies/Biscuits to use in a recipe. I feel like I have seen them at Aldi or Giant Eagle, but I don't know for sure and I don't want to make a ton of trips to search all around. Does anybody know a store that has them for sure? Even if it is a world food/ethnic grocery store, I just want to know where they definitely have them! They are usually a product of the UK. So this just happened…10d agoDaily Discussion - Saturday 12/13/2511d agoPlease report and discuss what interesting products you're seeing at stores today. I’m trying to bleach a pair of boots I bought from the thrift store but for some reason it won’t work. I have no idea the material as all tags have been removed. I applied bleach about 20 minutes ago but nothing is happening. I tried both a bleach pen and spray. Should I try hair bleach? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Tweaking Thundertree, or How I Built a Better Thundertree14d agoThis is a Copy/Paste from a deleted post and the username has also been removed, so I am unable to give credit where credit is due. \----------------------------------- I hope this doesn't break the session recap rule as my intent is to provide a new way of running this part of LMoP. I submitted \[[this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDBehindTheScreen/comments/5wxmne/help_me_tweak_thundertree/)\] the other day and got some excellent feedback on my plan for Thundertree. I thought I was going to have 2 weeks to polish the encounter (adventure? not sure) but I wound up needing to run it 2 days later (this past Friday). So now that I've run it, I decided to do a proper writeup of... Tromeo and Juliet15d agoA hard to find laserdisc which is even harder to find with all the contents including a mini poster signed by the man himself Lloyd Kaufman, I love Toxie sticker and copy of Troma times. Heinz Spicy Brown Mustard16d agoSo my dad is obsessed with this stuff and can't get it in Florida any more. I've been to four stores already, and no one here seems to stock it, either. Anybody got a heads-up as to where I can find some of this stuff in the greater Pittsburgh area?? Like, there's not even a space on the shelf for it at all the stores I've been to (Giant Eagle, Martin's, Walmart, Shop n Save). Where to buy Weetabix?20d agoExtremely random, but thanks to my TikTok page, I’m on a very specific food-based hunt! Are there any grocery stores or speciality British/Canadian stores that would sell boxes of Weetabix cereal in Pittsburgh? Has anyone bought it in the greater Pittsburgh area? I know Giant Eagle has their “international” aisle but figured that might not include UK-based food (maybe I’m wrong!) When did the old Bridgeville location open?23d agoHello! I'm currently working on a project and I've been trying to find when the Chuck E Cheese in Bridgeville first opened. I'm trying to find information on the one that was where the Fine Wine and Good Spirits store is now by the Giant Eagle. If anyone could let me know the year that would be awesome. List of drama-free superchargers for non-Tesla vehicles in the United States24d agoJust a quick note: Tesla drivers have been very polite to me in real life. I just find blocking two spots to be very awkward when there is a line and prefer to have an alternative that doesn't involve having repeated polite conversations with every understanding Tesla driver who arrives after me. Also: yes, I'm aware of non-tesla fast chargers, I post a report of them once a month. Okay, moving on: "What is a drama-free supercharger?" A Tesla supercharger that: * Allows at least some non-Tesla vehicles to charge (with a NACS adapter, or with Magic Dock). * Has a long cord (a V4 supercharger). This means everyone should be able to charge their vehicle without taking up... Malleys announces first Non-Family President: Hot Take25d agoMalleys Has announced a new president! Personally, I think its great to get a pair of fresh new eyes on the industry as the family was loosing interest. You can tell they are making big moves by appearing in heinens, giant eagle, etc and partnering with Uncle Crunch and fritos. Its cool to see, however I will say the private equity part that helped with this makeover was terrible. The new president seems intelligent but Im not sure they are aware of the nostalgia Malleys brings and they are looking to millenial graywash but in reality marketing trends show nostalgia is the best move for younger generations. Whats everyones options on this? I believe they did the right thing to keep the busin... Disappointed with the new GE Market District in East Liberty28d agoWent in the new Giant Eagle at Penn and Shady. I know this is an urban location and will be more compact as a result, but I was overall pretty disappointed. The store didn’t feel/look very new, it felt as cramped as the Squirrel Hill GE, the produce looked terrible (for what I looked at), and ultimately I don’t even understand why it’s branded as a Market District. I’m surprised it doesn’t have a bar, expanded sections for cheese/etc, or even scan&go or curbside pickup (maybe adding later?) Obviously I wasn’t expecting direct competition with TJs/WFs, but I did expect more given the location and brand new building. They are passing out $10 off $50 coupons in store though... I can’t ever move out of Pittsburgh because of Eat n’ Park cottage cheese30d agoI understand that some people have strong feelings about cottage cheese (mostly that it’s gross) and I have some of my own. I have tried so many different kinds and nothing hits the same as the Turner’s Eat n’ Park cottage cheese. Other brands are too ~wet~ or the curd is too soft or too big. I have found out recently that I can buy a tub of it at my local grocery store and my entire life has changed. Eat n’ Park cottage cheese just has the perfect texture, it’s not watery and gross every time i open the container, it’s literally just the ideal cottage cheese and no one can tell me otherwise. That being said, I am having the realization that I may never be able to leave Pitts...
