A few months ago we built a system to run structured queries through ChatGPT's shopping surface at scale, then parse every response: did a product carousel appear, how many products, how many unique brands, and what citations were pulled. We ran 8,520 queries in Women's Dresses, US market, across 9 buyer intent stages and 5 query format styles. This is what we found.
