This is a long shot: I was visiting family in Lubbock and was in Dillard’s, and the helpful, awesome dude who helped me find a blazer, we got to talking about his awesome boots. He told me he got them from an artisan boot maker who had a shop 30-45 min, I think he said he was Lebanese… For the life of me I forgot almost everything else, but it sounds like a cool store to visit. I am a person that is easily overwhelmed by things and one of those things is finding "my scent". Anytime I enter ulta, dillards, sephora, or any perfume store I always feel irritated, rushed, and get confused half way after all the different scents I smell. I've been contemplating purchasing the brooklyn 39 for a while now. I even bought a similar style bag that just made me want this bag even more 😭. Recently lost some weight and want to update my wardrobe. Ordering online always results in my having to order like 3 different sizes and returning the ones that don’t fit, because there’s no consistency in sizing between different brands. I am after this tote bag and I highly dislike how Dillard’s teases a person. I try to add it to cart and it tells me it’s unavailable. I know it’s available at other stores including Coach but it’s not $173.50 on those websites. Because of that, girl math kicks in, telling me I would be saving money on the tote if I was able to get at Dillard’s, thereby allowing me to buy other items. 😂 So my questions are: Any Dillard’s SA’s or Dillard’s shopping experts in the crowd? I was working at Dillard's in the mall. We'd been hit by a nasty ice storm just a few days before Christmas, and not only were the roads socked in but we had no electricity or power at my semi-rural house. The store manager, an ancient man who was a "close, personal friend of the Dillard family" insisted that even though the mall was closed, Dillard's would be open. My manager's husband was a volunteer firefighter who had a crew-cab 4x4 with studded tires, and he came around at 5 am to shuttle employees to the store, 7 at a time.
