My covid memories

1h ago

Short little memoir of my covid memories cause I'm bored. I remember the day they shut my school down during covid. I was a junior in high school so I still had one more year to go. We had just had an assembly for something unrelated before I and my soccer teammates left early to get ready for a home soccer game. After setting up the field and doing our pre-warmup warmups, the opposing team arrived, the refs were wandering around, and it was just a very nice and warm day. And then, just a few minutes before the game would've started, our athletic director came out and said that the state legislature had just voted to shut down the state as of now for the next two weeks. Ne...

Yearning for Loved Leather

1h ago

So I saw this video come across my fyp about getting an online OOS bag. You get the style number, call coach customer service and ask what store has it. You can then call the store, to pay over the phone, and they will ship the bag to you. They are out everywhere for the Empire 40 carryall in loved leather, so I’m still on the hunt, but wanted to share with the coach girlies for other bags.

Car seat question

1h ago

Has or would anyone purchase an open box car seat directly from the manufacturer? Unfortunately I’m incredibly limited in the travel systems I can get because of trunk size and other factors and pretty much the only one that will work is the silver cross. It’s only compatible with a few car seats once of which is the Clek. I can’t justify the price especially since I’m paying way more than intended for a stroller to accommodate the factors at play, but saw they have an outlet store option on their website that is run by them directly. It says the car seats were opened but never used and in original packaging with tags and have all been inspected before listing at a discounted price. ...

Tell everyone you know, bombing isn’t for fun.

2h ago

Early this afternoon, the President of the United States gave an unscheduled and deeply troubling phone interview to NBC’s Chief White House Correspondent, Kristen Welker, while he was spending time at his weekend retreat and private club, Mar-a-Lago. During this nearly 30-minute interview, he shocked world leaders and everyday Americans alike by saying he might bomb Kharg Island again “for fun.” When asked about U.S. strikes on the island, Iran’s most critical oil hub, his reply was, “We totally demolished Kharg Island, but we may hit it a few more times, just for fun.” This is the real Donald J. Trump. The man who waged a war without congressional approval, who sent American m...

How is this possibly accepted by the right wing? Bombing for fun is sick…

How to WIN at Life: The Ultimate Science-Based Guide to Leveling Up

2h ago

So you've probably heard this "life is a simulation" thing floating around the internet. Maybe from Elon Musk. Maybe from some philosophical rabbit hole at 3 AM. But here's what nobody's really breaking down for you: life operates EXACTLY like a video game, and once you understand the mechanics, you can actually start winning instead of just button-mashing through existence. I've spent months diving into research from behavioral psychology, game theory, neuroscience podcasts, and yeah, content from people like Dan Koe who've cracked this code. This isn't some Matrix escaping fantasy. This is about understanding the system so you can level up deliberat...

Voyager

3h ago

Coach Voyager briefcase. I got this a couple years ago on super deep discount at the outlet and I’m really, really impressed with it. Used it as my daily work bag for a solid 6 months and this thing still looks brand new. The canvas has broken in to the point where it’s just all squish.

I know it’s probably not likely, but do any sales associates have any of the Peanuts x Coach collection in their stores? I deeply regret not getting the tabby or rogue. Tia!

The Exit Blueprint: Why Every Gym Entrepreneur Needs a Plan to Leave (And How to Build One That Maximizes Your Payday)

3h ago

Most gym entrepreneurs spend years thinking about **how to open a gym**. They think about equipment. They think about branding. They think about classes, programming, and marketing. But very few ever stop to think about **how they will eventually leave the business**. And yet, after working with gyms across the industry for decades, I can tell you something that surprises many operators: **The most successful gym entrepreneurs plan their exit before they ever open the doors.** Not because they want to quit. But because they understand something fundamental about business: **A gym without an exit strategy is not a business.** **It’s a job.** If you want to build real value, ...

The company opened its first official retail stores in the country in 2023 in Mumbai and Delhi, marking a major milestone for Apple’s long term strategy in one of the world’s fastest growing smartphone markets. India is already an important manufacturing hub for Apple, especially in Tamil Nadu where several of its supply chain partners operate large facilities. Companies like Foxconn and Pegatron assemble iPhones in the state, making Tamil Nadu a crucial part of App...

Oxford clastic fit button down shirts now $130 unbelievable

4h ago

Huge increase. I’ve been buying them since the 90s and after they exploded in price within the last 10 years, you can find them at Polo RL Outlets at 20-30% off and then a text membership discount of 20-25% bringing it reasonable imho to about $60-$80. Now it’s $130 in Outlets and all department stores with 10% discount for the text coupon for the Outlets. Just not affordable. Unfortunately, 😃, I’m seeing the most amazing supplies of them and unbelievable colors ever. I don’t see these department stores like Macy’s or Dillards selling $130 shirts to a lot of people, but I could be wrong. I’m sorry but if this is too negative, my apologies in advance.

[REQUEST][Steam] Crimson Desert (Standard Edition)

4h ago

Hi everyone, Open world fantasy RPGs is one of my fav genre. Diving into a world of magical and mythical creatures escaping from the real world, I frickin love gaming. The idea of not just playing but living in the world helps me forget the real world and troubles. Exploring, stumbling upon hidden ruins ,taming creatures ,its not just big epic battles. Those small moments makes our experience special. I have been watching Crimson Desert trailers for sometime now. Usually when a game of this scale is out of my budget , I rely on other methods (hehe). However, the developers recently confirmed that Crimson Desert launches with Denuvo. This means those shenanigans aren't an option anymor...

Can’t find any nearby indoor rinks

4h ago

I live in Toronto east side and winter’s ending. All the rinks I go to are outdoor rinks except for one which only has about 4 hours of leisure skating total in the entire rink, and only on Sunday and Monday late evening (everything else is hockey). If there’s anyone who can find an indoor rink preferably in the east side with a figure skating coach that would be great (google isn’t being reliable for this). And also I’d like some tips for things like skating in a straight line with one foot and making sharp turns. And if someone could give me a number on how many hours of use I can use my skates before they need to be sharpened, because the store I got my skates from said only about...

Month 3 of building an app solo. 0 users. 0 revenue. Here's why I'm not stopping

4h ago

3 months ago I was copy pasting my Strava data into ChatGPT to get training advice. Every single time. Manually. Like an *****. That's how Bolty started. Not a business plan, not a market analysis, just me being too lazy to keep doing the same thing over and over. Fast forward to today: * full iOS app built from scratch * AI coaching engine that actually reads your Garmin/Strava data * subscription system, onboarding, the whole thing * 5 localized App Store listings ready to go * registered a company in France to make it legit Revenue: €0 Users: basically me Team: me Budget: also me The hardest part isn't coding. It's the gap between "this is ready" and "...

Data wars

4h ago

No — Oracle does not control all the data, and it’s not accurate to say Oracle somehow has unrestricted access to or ownership of everyone’s data because of the TikTok/DeepSeek discussion. Here’s what’s really going on: 🧠 1. The “Trojan horse” narrative is about national‑security fears, not confirmed data control Many critics use dramatic language (like “Trojan horse”) to describe Chinese tech companies gathering data — including TikTok or the AI app DeepSeek — but that’s political framing rather than established fact. There is no verified evidence that these platforms covertly send every user’s data to the Chinese government. The concern is based on national...

Does anyone else remember

4h ago

Hi! I have a distinct memory of a store having a bright orange slightly elevated platform / almost a stage in the middle of the store, circular, with TVs playing music videos all around it. I believe it was in the outlet store strip mall centre in Ajax on Harwood and Kingston, and I think it may have been La Senza Girl? Does anyone else remember this?

Starting a Bricklink store as a Social Enterprise (8+ staff). Advice on scaling and stock strategy?

4h ago

What's up fellow builders, I’m in the process of launching a new business: a Bricklink store (and potentially brick-and-mortar) that doubles as a re-integration workplace. My goal is to help people who are currently out of the workforce (re)learn essential job skills in a supportive environment. I have the pedagogical background to lead this and experience in coaching people in these situations, but I’d love your insights on the 'Lego-logistics' side. Since I will have 5 to 8 people working with me, I have a lot of 'man-hours' available for labor-intensive tasks. My current strategy: Focus on Used Parts: Since cleaning, sorting, and identifying parts is labor-...

I wasn’t planning on a black tote…

5h ago

I pulled out my very inexpensive vegan leather tote for a meeting yesterday and discovered that somehow, my cat had gotten to it. Kate Spade Outlet near me was having a sale so I decided to look for a bag to accommodate a 15” laptop. There were literally 2 - in the whole store. Both black. The one I selected (Knott Commuter) was from a KS main store and other than the color, had everything I wanted. I’m not exaggerating when I say the charm was almost as much as the bag. Now stored in a cat protected area and can’t wait to use her.
