Vintage Carhartt

3h ago

I’m at the end of my career and I moved from Illinois to Florida, but I brought my last Carhartt with me just for rock winners and I’ve decided to finally get rid of it. It’s probably the 10th one I’ve had but it got we had a cold snap down here in Florida and I was at the store and to check out girl said that her boyfriend really loved the coach like mine and I looked at her kind of strangely and she’s like it’s vintage now and I’m like really and she’s like yeah so I just put this on here to see is this really vintage? Let me know thanks.

Anyone in the US know where I can purchase the Shin Spicy Beef stir fry OTHER than Walmart Online?

4h ago

Last summer I completely lucked out and found a whole box of these packs at the discount grocery outlet- I’ve gone back **** near every week since, scoured all the local Asian markets within a 45 mile radius, and have looked online religiously, yet no luck finding this flavor at all. Even spoke with the store manager (after a lot of calls and persistence) who told me he didn’t know where it was procured from. Told me he’d get back but after multiple calls just to speak with him, I feel like it was a dead end. If I HAVE to pay 16.99+ tax AND shipping for only 4 packs, then I suppose that’s just what I’ll have to do, but if there’s any alternative site/store, I’d be extremely gr...

Resume needs tons of help

4h ago

Been applying for a couple months now. Have had 2 interviews to which they ended up going with other candidates. I know my resume is very rough and needs a lot of fixes and changes. What should I include from what’s already on here? If anything. I have a lot of aspirations and really am open to working.

What to Do When You Shut Down in Conflict: The Science-Based Guide That Actually Helps

4h ago

You know that feeling? Mid-argument, suddenly your brain goes blank. Words disappear. Your chest tightens. You want to respond but nothing comes out. Maybe you walk away, maybe you freeze like a deer in headlights. And later, you beat yourself up because you "should have" handled it better. Yeah, I've been there too. After diving deep into psychology research, therapy podcasts, and neuroscience books (shoutout to Polyvagal Theory), I realized something wild: shutting down isn't weakness. It's your nervous system trying to protect you. Understanding this changed everything. So here's what I learned from the experts, therapists, and science nerds who actually get...

I Survived the Valentine’s Delivery. They Came for Me at Midnight. Part 3

[Part 2.](https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/s/awjD6ieiAG) I woke up with my phone still in my hand and my mouth tasting like I’d been ******* on pennies. For a few seconds I didn’t move. I just stared at the ceiling and tried to figure out what had yanked me out of sleep so abruptly that my brain felt bruised. Then I realized what was missing. Sound. No air unit. No hallway ice machine. No distant elevator cables. No muffled TV from the room next door. Hotels are never truly quiet. They’re built on a constant, low-level noise that tells you other people exist. This was dead quiet. Like the whole place had been shut off and sealed. I blinked, sat up, and pain snapped through my ba...

Coach totes - old! Help!

4h ago

Hi everyone, I’m doing some winter purging of my closet and found these two Coach totes that I’m pretty sure I bought at the outlet in the early 2000s. For size reference they’re sitting on my office chair. I was thinking of listing them online but only if they had some residual value. I don’t remember what I paid for them. I love this group and you guys give the brutal honest truth, are these worth anything or should I just donate them?

The Death of a Local Voice: How Wall Street Gutted The Longmont Times-Call and Decimated American Journalism

4h ago

An investigation into Alden Global Capital's systematic dismantling of local newspapers across America—and what it means for democracy February 16, 2026 LONGMONT, Colo. — For 145 years, the Longmont Times-Call served as the civic heartbeat of this Front Range city, chronicling everything from City Council debates to high school football games, from sugar beet harvests to NextLight's pioneering municipal broadband. But that heartbeat has grown dangerously faint. The newspaper's editorial offices left Longmont in 2017, relocated to Boulder. The newsroom that once employed dozens now operates with a skeleton crew. Many local government meetings go uncovered. Investigative ...

How to Develop Real Emotional Maturity: 6 Science-Backed Behaviors Most People Get Wrong

4h ago

So I've been obsessed with understanding what actually makes someone mature lately. Not the fake corporate "professional" stuff, but real emotional maturity. After diving into a ton of research, psychology books, and honestly just observing people around me, I realized most of us have it completely backwards. We think maturity is about being serious, having your life together, or hitting certain milestones. But actual maturity? It's way more nuanced. And honestly, a lot of "mature" behavior we see is just performative BS. Here's what genuinely mature people DON'T do, backed by actual psychology and behavioral science: They don't need to prove t...

I shipped an iOS app using Google Antigravity + VS Code + Codex. This workflow is… wild!

5h ago

👋 I just shipped **CISIO** on the App Store — and I built it **100% through vibe coding** using **Google Antigravity + VS Code + Codex**. What surprised me most: it didn’t feel like “AI autocomplete”… it felt like **having a small dev team** that can iterate fast when you’re super clear about the outcome. **My loop looked like this:** * **Antigravity** for planning + agent execution * **VS Code** for quick edits / refactors * **Codex** for “make this screen feel premium”, “fix this logic”, “polish this flow” * Repeat until it looked/behaved like a real product **What CISIO does (quick):** * fresh lead suggestions (daily) * AI coaching for outreach /...

# The Truth About Garmin Strength Training: Why Most "Integrations" Don't Work **The Misconception:** You want to track strength training with your Garmin watch. You search for apps "with Garmin integration" and find dozens of options. Case solved? **Not quite.** Here's the uncomfortable truth that most comparison articles won't tell you: **99% of apps claiming "Garmin integration" are technically just workarounds.** They export your workout data to Garmin Connect after you're done – they don't actually run on your watch or integrate with Garmin's real-time systems. If you want to understand why this matters, what real integrat...

My short story... WARNING IT'S DARK!

Detoxing by Keya The Ceremony leader Kristi plucked the sacrificial insect from its plastic case with medical tweezers and slowly guided her in my direction. I turned my head away and closed my eyes awaiting the pinch. Within a moment, her stinger stabbed into my forearm like a tiny itchy knife. The compound Melittin was for the first time running through my blood stream. I felt nothing but pain at the moment but hoped the results would be worthwhile. The bee that was now dead was still trapped between the tweezers. Kristi took out a small matchbox that had been painted with a honey comb pattern and placed the yellow and black beast inside. This honey combed tomb made me sad for the poor c...

I’m 14 and building apps instead of just playing video games

5h ago

I’m **14** years old and lately I’ve been spending most of my free time learning how to build apps. Don’t get me wrong — I still play video games and hang out with my friends. But while a lot of people my age are scrolling YouTube Shorts or gaming for hours, I’ve been learning about marketing, teaching myself how to vibecode, and figuring out how to publish apps to the App Store and Google Play. Right now, I’m building an app that uses AI to generate basketball substitution plans. The idea is to help coaches automatically create fair rotations and equal playing time without spending hours planning it out. I play 7 sports myself, so I’ve seen how stressful substitutions can be...

Idk why I never tried Michael Kors

I’m a budget bag girl. My collection has a few coach outlet bags, a few Kate spade outlet bags, some Marshall’s finds, a couple Portland leather goods bags, and a lot of thrift stuff. I’ve never considered MK outlet for some reason, maybe because of the reputation. I went to the coach outlet yesterday to check out the Rowan (which I did buy the purple one and love it) and I’ve had the same experience I always do which is associates who aren’t friendly, buying bags off the shelf, just an overall vibe that I don’t “belong” in there. I had my kiddo with me who wanted a little bag and I decided to stop into MK for her because they have some serious budget options and fun colors...

I’m tired of this grandpa

5h ago

I’ve been working at Starbucks for a little over a year. I love all my coworkers and generally I don’t mind the work either. Recently however our SM has been getting onto everyone a lot more about random things. It wouldn’t bother me if they were consistent and we could all know what to expect, but lately it feels like we’re all walking on eggshells at our store. They’ve talked to partners about “having an attitude” when they just aren’t smiling as much as they would like them to. They’ve been cracking down on time and attendance, questioning the legitimacy of people’s call outs even though everyone was getting sick from flu/covid/upper respiratory germs that normall...

I built a trivia game to test sport knowledge

6h ago

Hey everyone, I’m a huge sports fan, but I found that most trivia apps have outdated questions for someone who actually watches the games. So, I just launched SportIQ on the Play Store and I'm looking for some early adopters to help me stress-test the difficulty and the UI. What’s inside: * Multi-Sport coverage\*\*:\*\* Football, Basketball, Tennis, American football, Cricket and Formula 1. * Progressive Levels, Daily Quizzes, Streaks, Challenges, and more Play Store Link: [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.darcydev.sportiqapp](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.darcydev.sportiqapp)

My mom is dilulu about what job recruiters want and the world just *****

6h ago

I know my mom co owns my dad’s company but she is the kind Of person who still thinks that walking in and asking for a job or “following up till they answer” (she means pestering them till they answer is going to get me a job) she is the person who rolls her eyes if I get info from the internet but she sends me “Job advice” from instagram posts. She doesn’t even look into who the person behind it is. I will of course follow up once because i think it is polite. But this woman has witnessed me walking into facility after facility when I was 16 asking for a job and it not work. She gets offended when I don’t take her advice on job hunting or even my own creative work. I’m a gra...
