Buying from SA out of state vs online

2h ago

I’m curious if there is any benefit (to the store SA’s and/or me) to buying a bag through an SA at a store in another state (and having it shipped to me) versus me buying the same bag from the Coach website. For a little background: I travel to another state every 2-3 months for work/family visits. I usually pop in to the same Coach store by my office every time I visit. On a recent visit, I had a really nice conversation with an SA and got her card & contact info in case I wanted to place any future orders or come back to look for a specific bag. I do have a Coach store about 30 minutes from my home, but it’s in an area where I never shop and so this store out of state is, ...

the AI agent side hustle: building custom GPTs and selling them for decent money each

4h ago

this is new and the market is wide open. companies and solo business owners want custom AI assistants but don't know how to build them. i build custom GPTs, claude projects, and simple chatbots for specific use cases. **examples of what i've sold:** - custom GPT for a real estate agent that generates listing descriptions ($150) - claude project for a lawyer that summarizes case documents ($200) - custom GPT for a fitness coach that builds meal plans ($75) - chatbot for a shopify store that handles FAQs ($200 + $50/mo maintenance) **monthly revenue:** about $800-1,200 depending on the month **time per project:** most take 2-4 hours including client back-and-forth **where i find...

TW: SELF HARM I'm so ******* done with my life. It's just a bunch of nothing. I don't go to college, I don't have any friends (not even online friends. I literally don't talk to a single person), I don't have anyone outside of family that loves or cares about me. It's all my fault too. After school, I just stopped talking to the couple people I had any interactions with (I barely had friends in school too). I just wake up, take care of my cats (one of the only things in this life I care about), and then go in my room and lay down. My mom has epilepsy and always expects me to do everything for her, she doesn't care if I'm feeling down. She just pr...

Built a running ai coach app using Lovable and it’s now on app store

4h ago

Started this project roughly two weeks ago, i have slight programming background back in college but it was just java and c++ and OOP so not a lot of knowledge on web apps and fe/be/server stuff. Anyways i did use my limited coding knowledge to do some debugging but the code is 99% written by lovable. Managed to use wrapper to get it to published to app store and i am super happy about it! Will continue make improvements :) For anyone who is interested, the app is called RunWard.

Built an app to track lacrosse goalies— looking for feedback from coaches and parents

5h ago

I’ve been coaching lacrosse for a while and always struggled to track which parts of the net my goalies were getting beat on. Keeping notes on paper wasn’t cutting it so I decided to build something. It’s called GoalieIQ — you log shots during a game or practice and it generates a heat map showing weak spots in the net. Helps coaches and parents have actual data driven conversations about where to focus training. Just got it on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/goalieiq-lacrosse-goalie-stats/id6761381690 Not here to sell anyone anything — genuinely want feedback from people who actually coach or have kids that play goalie. AMA if you’re curious how it works.

Tested CuriousCats AI for a week as my only news source

5h ago

Okay so I've been trying to cut down my news scrolling because honestly it was getting out of hand. Like 40+ mins a day just jumping between apps and still feeling uninformed lol. Was googling for a news app without ads and CuriousCats AI popped up in the results. Looked it up, and it seemed interesting enough, so I thought why not commit to using ONLY this for a full week. The first two days felt weird because I kept instinctively opening Google News out of habit. But the feed was actually decent from day one. Short summaries that don't feel dumbed down and genuinely zero ads, which surprised me. The thing that got me was the multiple perspectives feature. For the same story it...

Your $400 glasses cost $8 to make. One company owns the brands, the stores, and your insurance.

5h ago

I had to get new glasses a few weeks ago. Walked out with a $480 bill. The optometrist mentioned offhand that most of the brands in the store are owned by one company. Luxottica. I know a lot of you are already familiar with that part. But being a cheap *******, I started digging. The brand ownership thing is just the surface. The actual story underneath it is significantly worse. Figured you all would appreciate this rabbit hole I went down. E. Dean Butler founded LensCrafters in 1983. Built it from nothing into the biggest optical chain in North America. Then Luxottica bought it out from under him in 1995. He has no affiliation with the company anymore. A few years ago he went to visit t...

Hermes Agent Automation Workflows Turn AI Into A Real Execution Engine

5h ago

Hermes Agent automation workflows are one of the first agent systems I’ve tested recently that actually behave like infrastructure instead of a chatbot with extra steps. Most people still use AI as a prompt tool, but Hermes Agent automation workflows let you build pipelines that research, plan, execute, publish, and improve continuously without restarting context every session. If you want to see real working automation stacks instead of theory, the fastest place most builders start exploring them is inside the [AI Profit Boardroom](https://www.skool.com/ai-profit-lab-7462/about). Joining this subreddit was not on my 2026 bingo card

5h ago

I never thought I’d be posting here, but here I am. My husband was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and he’s struggled with alcoholism for years. When we got together, I knew about the drinking. He relapsed early, and I made a decision that I wouldn’t leave someone just for being an alcoholic. I went to Al-Anon, I supported him, and for about two years he was sober and stable. We had a good life during that time. That version of him is gone. What I live with now is constant accusation—almost daily. I’m accused of cheating, not caring about him, or somehow ruining things in his life. He keeps me up at night when he’s manic, expects constant validation, and when I sugge...

How AI Video Analytics Actually Reduces Restaurant Shrink and Labor Costs in 2026

6h ago

**AI video analytics transforms passive surveillance into an operational tool by using computer vision to bridge the gap between POS data and physical actions.** By automating the detection of "sweethearting," drive-thru bottlenecks, and portioning errors, operators can typically reduce manual oversight and "busy work" by 15% to 50% while protecting margins. # The Shift from "Recording" to "Thinking" We’ve all been there: scrubbing through six hours of grainy footage trying to find one "no-sale" event. In 2026, the industry has hit a tipping point where passive recording is a liability. If your cameras aren't helping you manage your ...

Movement.

7h ago

Little bit of a rant, so I work in HBA, my TL is really controlling, he doesn’t give me a lot of work, he doesn’t let me take my lunch unless he takes his lunch first, he just gets downright angry with me over things. I’ve been working at my store for about a month and I just wanted to know if I could be moved to another department even though I haven’t been there for six months? I do everything in my department just about, I’ve even been asked if I was the TL. I’m curious if i informed my coach or people lead about how he treats me, would i be moved?

Vintage/thrift stores similar to LA's American Vintage?

7h ago

I went thrifting in LA at a place called American Vintage, which had tons of great vintage men's pants, shirts, and jackets that were reasonably priced. For more specificity, it had a ton of high-waisted '70s and '80s trousers for $25-40 apiece, some western shirts, and denim jackets. It had a more curated selection and vibe than something like Goodwill or Village Discount Outlet but was not true consignment or overly curated like some of the more boutique shops in Andersonville or Wicker Park. Any suggestions for thrift stores that would have this kind of American menswear selection without a pair of pants running $80+? I enjoy looking around Village Discount Outlet but often...
