My lead has been out for 6 weeks so far and I was asked to keep up their day to day tasks and responsibilities. I asked about being promoted to lead while they were gone and was told Walmarts policy was the person had to be off for at least 8 weeks to let they do that. At the six week mark I reached out to the lead to see when they would be back to get them up to date on their area. The reapnded that they were going to be off for at least 12 weeks total,if not longer using PTO. So was I lied to by my coach and store manager? Yesterday I had a customer ask for help getting some cologne, out of one of the locked cabinets when doing one of my last walks. I was honest and told him that I couldn't, as I don't have keys or any phone apps to unlock it for him. Even said, I didn't see the usual associate nearby, that works that department. The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Sunday said that the use of power banks for charging phones or other gadgets during flights is banned. The rules also say that the power banks will not be used for charging phones or any other gadgets, including through aircraft seat power outlets. Everybody knows about the safety glasses... but my question is about gloves. I was a technician at a store for a few months and there were always gloves provided to me by the store. At my new store, they are refusing to provide me any at all. Coach said if I want gloves I have to pay for them... is walmart supposed to supply them for the TLE technicians? Not to mention my store wants me on the sales floor around grocery when there's no cars... meaning I touch all the product with my dirtier hands since I don't have gloves to wear.

And all the holiday items from wrapping paper to decorations (even holiday themed pet toys) that was being sold at our store's full price is now being sold at heavily discounted price. Like gift wrapping paper went from $2 to $5 are now $00.30 cents to $00.50 cents (depending on the brand). Decorations varies.
