I've never worked anywhere besides Starbucks and I'm at a loss on where to go. I was considering departing food service in the past but I never knew where to start. Now I am forced to make this leap. Similar coffee shop management jobs pay significantly less than what I made so I'm looking for advice on what the best on-ramp would be for a different career. Does anyone have recommendations on similar types of work in OC or LA that would be currently hiring that the job of a starbucks manager would even apply to? Specifically surrounding skills like team building and coaching for performanc... Here’s what an ATS actually is explained by someone who rewrites resumes every day3h agoJust to be clear I’m not some HR guru or recruiter or corporate career coach. I literally just rewrite resumes for people. That’s it. I talk to job seekers every day, I see what gets callbacks, and I see what gets completely ignored. And over time I’ve had my hands on a ****** amount of resumes tech, marketing, customer service, finance, retail, stuff I didn’t even know was a real job. If there’s a field, I’ve probably edited a resume for it at some point. That’s why I can explain this stuff in normal language instead of the usual corporate bullshit. Alright, since a bunch of you asked this on my last post, here’s the real answer in normal-person language. What is an A... Recommendations to something similar to this3h agoI am banning myself from buying another bag for a while since I started my coach collection this year and have 4 bags now, plus this one and a similar to this that were from a consignment store. However the next one I get, i want something as close to this interior/pockets as this one!! My only drawback from not using this every day is I learned over time, i am not a crossbody fan at all, they swing everywhere on my frame and I prefer shoulder bags (I love you Swing zip and Lola). But the only thing that would make them better is if they had seperated zip closures like this Jes Crossbody i believe it’s called. i also love the outer slip pocket. Just so good to seperate keys/wallet constant... What A Day: MTG vs. Wicked Snow Globe by Matt Berg & Crooked Media (11/24/25)4h ago*"The wicked snow globe of Washington DC." - Rep. My most recent Ugly thrift!4h agoI randomly got this subreddit recommended to me, and it reminded me that I love Uglydolls! My most recent addition is these matching Babo and Wage keychains, found at a local outlet/thrift store. Wage is one of my favourite Uglies, and his friendship with Babo makes me happy. I have a couple Wage dolls, I hope I can find his buddy Babo sometime too! Coach in-store customizations4h agoDoes Coach do in-store customizations in So-Cal? I have Rambler bag I’d like to cover with tea roses. I’m looking online and see that The Grove LA Coach store does repairs and customizations in store, or even sending it out to get it done. Has anyone done this or something similar that could share their experience? No team lead?4h agoHow long does it usually take for them to be replaced? We are a smaller store so only one for our department, it’s been two months already without one. Our coach is practically our team lead atm because of this. No one at our store wants to transfer to become one due to our department being a fuckin mess I’m not technical at all, so I got AI Commerce to build everything for me, here’s how it went4h agoI’m definitely not the “build your online business” type, so take this from someone who usually avoids doing anything with computers. I joined AI Commerce because I knew I wouldn’t get far trying to build everything myself. I’ve tried Shopify a couple times before and always gave up between “upload a logo” and “add products” It was just too much. This company promised to do the whole setup for me. They built the store, set up the apps, added the products, the images, everything. I just told them the niche I wanted, and they handled the rest. I was surprised how fast it came together, especially since my last attempt took me two weeks and still looked awful. The only thi... Coping with getting passed over5h agoIn the grand scheme of things being passed over for a position isn't exactly a huge deal. There's always so many opportunities to make more money/move up. But omg it definitely ***** to get passed over lol. I'm silently seething a bit, looking at open positions in a few other stores. I want to stay at my store so it's hard to look for opportunities in other stores knowing I'll go there without anyone. I know one day I'll have my turn, just gotta keep doing my best and I'll get my shot. Front end coach went with someone a little more experienced and I totally get it, she said I interviewed well and had amazing potential and will absolutely be a TL one day... Does the Sellers Wardrobe Matter5h agoSo genuine question about selling better quality items, particularly for people who are looking for specific pieces on Vinted, and would be happy to pay say £50 on a £200-300 item. Does the other items in the sellers wardrobe matter to you at all? Some context: I have lost a lot of weight and most of what I have currently sold has been average high street clothing (ie M&S, H&M, ASOS, some Primark Trousers). All in good condition, they just don’t fit me and I was happy to take £3-5 for the items. I have also been tailoring my new wardrobe to better fitted and higher quality brands/materials at the same time. I now have a few 100% fitted wool coats, a few cashmere swea... Outlet Black Friday5h agoI recently dived head first into the LC and bought a rhone cassadou at an outlet near me for about $219 pretax. I heard that for Black Friday Elsie outlets are having extra 30% off. Is this correct? I’m wondering if it’s worth calling the store to see if I missed out on a further discount. Thank you in advance! How to be the BEST husband ever: the underrated skill no one teaches you6h agoIt’s wild how many people I know who got married, said “I do,” then had no clue what came next. Not just with chores or parenting or money. But the real stuff. The emotional glue. The daily micro-decisions that either build love or break it slowly. Online, especially on TikTok and Instagram, there’s way too much performative “husband goals” content. Aesthetic dates, surprise vacations, hugging from behind. Sweet, but shallow. Real partnership? That takes depth. This post is for anyone who wants to *actually* level up in their marriage. Not just act like a good husband but *become* one. Backed by real psychology, relationship research, and therapist insights. Pulled from sources ...
