We have an interesting possibility of taking a year off after next academic year. It wouldn't be a sabbatical, but just not re-signing and deciding to not job hunt for the following year. If we left this country, we'd get about a year's salary that we'd use to slow travel Central/South America or Southeast Asia. TL:DR; Week 2: My 1 gallon Walstad which i made back in July of last year (maybe will post some pics later) was begging to decline rapidly. Before I get an earful I understand that is much to small of a tank for a Dwarf gourami. I created the tank with the goal of only ever housing a small number of either cherry shrimp or something of relative size certainly not a gourami. I live in a medium sized southern town where most of my social circles are centered around drinking. Hunting, fishing, & “drinking clubs” - organizations my friends & family are in (can explain if you ask) are things that I enjoy doing and are centered around socializing. So for some backround, someone gifted me an aquarium and i was in the pet store looking for some fish. Then i saw (now my betta) sitting there with finrot. I took him home and got him better and a big part of his tail already grew back. (This is also my first time owning fish). Now i went back to the store cuz i felt like he was maybe lonely and bored.
