Hi! I have lived almost my whole life in the Bay Area. I spent a year in LA for my senior year of college and I finally have the opportunity to go back. I purchased a common albino pleco...thinking he was a bristlenose and wouldn't get bigger than 6 inches. I didn't carefully look at his face AND I didn't ask the fish store guy specifically what his species name was. I didn't even know there was a common/bristlenose difference. Of course there is. OF COURSE THERE IS. So here's the sitch- he's in my 30 gal right now. He's about 4 inches. I figure this gives me about 6 months to a year to set up a much much much larger tank for him.
