So I have an interview tomorrow and it seems very likely that I am hired. As an animal lover, I'm nervous about a few things: 1. Do you witness animals in the store being mistreated/in improper conditions often? Seeing this would sadden me deeply, and I know chain stores tend to do that a lot with their animals. I have no idea how the conditions would be there. 2. What happens if I check out someone who's clearly not gonna care for the animal good, but I can't do anything about it? I know I’m close to being able to get fish but not there yet, my pH is testing off the chart, is there a more accurate way to test it? Research and petstore show driftwood is a natural way to drop it but how long does that take? Pet store wants us to buy RO water from them and cost per gallon isn’t terrible but they suggested a full tank change and I’m worried that’s going to ruin the cycle. The other recommendation was pH down but I’m worried about how it will drop the ph and it doesn’t seem to be super stable long term when factoring in water changes and can cause the ph to fluctuate.

I generated this on Aqadvisor.com and it gave me this formula. Is this a healthy ecosystem for the fish? Or do we need to consider changes to our current situation. The associate at the pet store told my mother different kinds of Cory Cats can school together, but upon further research, we learned otherwise.
