A month ago, I was so excited to finally get my hands on a pair of Honey Gouramis from a fish store that’s 7 hours away. Hi y'all! I'm wondering if anyone has some good recommendations for butchers, farms, or stores where I can get locally farmed or hunted meat. I'm mostly concerned with finding a meat source that I know the animals are raised ethically and as sustainably as possible on local family farms or ranches, or hunted after spending their lives in the wild. I want to support locals and not spend my money supporting factory farms when I'm sure there's got to be better meat sources in the state given the amount of farms and hunters we have in Utah. Currently compiling a pile of internships to begin applying for this upcoming summer. The main ones I’m seeing are in consulting and I’m certainly not opposed to consulting for the summer. The problem is I have very little real world experience with the environmental science industry and it feels like there is a multitude of different paths that could be taken.
