Hey friends - today I woke up to fungus looking stuff all over my rummynose tetras, and two on the brink of death. All of the rummynose have been in the tank for over a year, but I did put a bunch of other fish in there a few weeks ago which all seem fine. Weird timing Im recovering from brain surgery and can’t drive and there is a snowstorm today so no one can get to me, so it’s unlikely I’ll be able to get to the fish store today to get a tank antibiotic, though I can order some. I also can’t do a water change right now (surgery recovery). But I’ll make that happen asap. Any suggestions of anything I can do right now given these constraints? Aquarium home remedy? i had two tanks but one tank suddenly crashed and started killing my fish so i had to emergency move them and idk how long until the other tank is ready. i have 19 cory, 1 small pleco, 3 small yoyo loachs 7 molly 1 small angle and ond honey gourami. i was wondering if it’s too much for a 37 gallon? they all look super happy and i just love seeing that color change from the fish store to a new home. i wanna make sure they’re okay for right now.

Ive been keeping freshwater fish for almost 2 years now. Ive done SO MUCH research, followed all the rules, but I can’t keep my fish alive. I used Fluval Substrate, live plants, rocks, let the tanks get started before adding fish, hearts and filters, water changes, etc., etc.. Then I have friends who went to the store, got a bowl, threw a betta fish in it, and it lived for years!! Somehow I can’t keep a betta alive, though. I have the API Freshwater Testing Kit, and all my parameters come back normal. The only thing that could improve is the pH level. Any advice? Should I just start completely over? Try a new approach? I think it's a cool colour, just wondering how it's possible for it to not get even the tinies hint of red. Has anyone tried a bino harness for a fly fishing chest pack? I have a Kifaru which is rather nice, and want to use a hydration system they have as well. I’ve found for the hunting I do I prefer an elastic harness with no pack so it’s not going to stay in my arsenal as a bino harness. I’m also considering using my possibles bag I use for muzzleloader hunting. Both make it seem like I can attach everything I need to it, just wanted to know if I’m missing something big or anyone has suggestions for how to use these options better. I really don’t like the marketed slings or chest packs from brands. But my vest is cumbersome and I want a good hydration option.
