Don’t know if people actually care about these regular updates but I figured I’d continue posting to help get continuous advice on what to do and how I should adjust going along. Now a few days out I purchased a pair of Anubias from a fish store that was a bit further than the one that was supposed to be opening back up today. A larger species on a peice of driftwood and a nana petite on a lava rock and a few days later I am noticing small snails creeping up in my tank. Currently I have noticed four small ones and two larger ones I have already removed and squished. Any advice I can get for population control and removal I’d appreciate especially since my tank is still in the process ...

My wife (31F) has recently started getting emotional when I (30M) take my trips, we’ve been married for 10 years now. We have a very good marriage we hardly argue and when we do we communicate well and figure it out. However there has always been this one contingency. I am an avid outdoorsman I spent a lot of time hunting and fishing. I have a 20gal long, and it’s been running for about two weeks now. I have a sponge filter, and a HOB filter running in it and it’s still slightly cloudy. I’m not sure how to get rid of that. I’ve done three water changes, one the day after I set it up, another one at the start of this week(Tuesday I think it was) and another one on Thursday when I added the plants(I stored up some on the substrate). I’m not in a rush right now, I’m waiting for plants to grow in before I add my fish. I just want sure if there was a way I could speed up the process of it clearing up at all. Hi! I recently purchased Loaches (2x) a week ago and everything was going fine until one passed yesterday (Jan 9) then the other today (Jan 10). When the first one passed (yesterday morning), I had woken up and seen that they were actively swimming around, scavenging to bottom for food, etc. I went to eat breakfast and walk the dog, I was gone for NO MORE THAN 30 MINUTES. When I came back, the Loach was not moving nor breathing at the bottom of the tank on its side. At this point, I was absolutely baffled because minutes prior they were perfectly fine and I had tested my water on Jan 7, which showed they were fine (I will add those photos). I recently ended up with a couple male scarlet badis, but I don’t have any live foods atm. Tried 3 different fish specialist stores, and none of them had anything not even brine shrimp eggs. I could order online, but it would likely take over a week to get here. I have frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and tubifex. Obviously most of these are a bit big for a badis’ mouth, but I ca. cut the food smaller if needed. Does anyone have any tips for getting Dario sp. to eat frozen?
