Feeling pretty excited after the really great experience I had at Emmaquatics Aquarium & Lounge today It’s so nice to have another fish store that’s helpful and affordable. The owner was really informative and I was impressed with their selections. Apparently they host community events and allow clubs to do so as well which we’ve been desperately needing Looking forward to seeing this place grow P.S. I've been food blogging since the start of Covid. For all but a year and a half or so, I've posted at least one meal I've made each week (just on Facebook, not to a wider audience yet) for the last 5 1/2 years. I've done themes (new-to-me international foods, a cookbook a month, and vegetarian). I've been investigating about galaxy rasboras, this after a local store imported them at last, thing is, my tank is already set and has rasboras kubotai. I've read that galaxy need slightly colder water, my tank right now sits between 21 to 27 celsius, i have heater and ventilators as my country, and specially my region goes hardcore on each season, now in summer the aquarium room reaches well over 31celcius, and its not even summer, while in witer reaches 3 degrees. So far I have worked my way to keep it in the right temperature. As ive been feeding my fish I noticed that some of them have these white dots on their fin. I just added more sand so I’m not sure if it’s just sand particles or something else such as ich, fungus, parasites, epistylis, etc. I’ve had these Pygmy corydoras for 2 months now, and they have all made it through since I got them from the pet store. They all are responsive and eat well. I recently got some kuhli loaches which seem healthy for the most part (2 died within days of adding to the tank which I’m assuming is due to acclimation stresses). Ammonia: 0 Nitrites: 0 pH: 7.0-7.4 (it was 7.6 but I did a 10% water change and topped up the tank) The tank is a planted 20 gallon tank with...

hello everyone! i have an african featherfin squeaker that i got at the pet store about 4 years ago. he’s incredibly shy, and when we got him he came with 2 large scars down his sides so we think he might’ve been attacked by his tank mates which might explain his behavior. however, he hides all day. we have a little log in our tank (i believe it’s 45 gallons) and he tends to hide there most of the day and comes out at night occasionally to sweep the tank and then goes back into hiding. he’s never really shown signs of distress, eats normally and hasn’t attacked any other fish, is this normal for featherfin squeakers? or is he really sad/stressed out and i just didn’t know about i...
