I have a ten gallon tank with a female Betta and 7 ember tetras. All seem to be getting along just fine! I need some type of bottom feeder as the food they don't catch before it gets to the bottom just sits there and I don't want to have too much at the bottom.. my Betta seems to have poor eyesight, and often has trouble seeing what's right in front of her, so feeding her always leaves waste as it takes a few goes for her to see the food. Embers obviously don't pick at the bottom at all. I was thinking of getting pygmy corycats or a mystery snail. I'm not sure if I'd be overstocking with that much? And what would be the better option? My anemone moved about a week ago, turned rock around today so I could see it and its mouth looks really weird. Kind of like macaroni noodles mushed together. The tentacles are really small too. Tank is fairly new, 2 months old. Anemone has been in there for a few weeks. Parameters: dosing dkh, it’s low at 7.2; Salinity a little high at 1.26; others have been stable. Hey everyone! I am new to the fish hobby and two days ago we bought female guppys from a store. They are now in a quarantine tank. One of the female looks very round and she also hangs out either at the bottom or just under the surface in a corner a lot. Is she pregnant, sick or had maybe indigestion issues? I just made a quick small batch of fresh kimchi. I immediately put it in the fridge because I don’t like it very fermented. I personally like mine with a slight sesame taste so I added a very small splash of sesame oil not thinking that it could mess with fermentation or make the kimchi go bad faster. Since i’m storing it immediately in the fridge how long will it stay good for with the oil added in? I used basic ingredients like napa cabbage, green onion, carrot, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and then that splash of sesame oil. I plan to eat it within 1 month probably I just want to make sure it’s safe to eat.
