my betta is coming up on two years since i got him, when i got him from the fish store he was already an adult. he grew slightly the first year i got him, though i think it was just because he was getting proper care. recently when ive fed him, its as if he can’t see it. he will completely miss his food when trying to get his blood worms, and pellets are almost impossible unless im holding them on my finger in front of his face. he has no genuine health issues or signs of distress, he just can’t see. i also have noticed he isn’t flaring at his reflection which is what has led me to believe he is in fact going/is blind. i love him to death but im not sure what to do for him in this cas...

Hello, Well i was never into extraction shooter. Bought hunt showdown few years back but felt really slow and guess that was not my cup of tea. I’m considering buying a licorice gourami for my 15 gallon just to see if it works out. I’m curious what others think are the pros/cons of this. Or the morality of it, I guess. There are two well-known and respected LFS in my area, one in town and one in a suburb. I believe they share import orders because they usually have a lot of the same fish on similar schedule. A month and a half or so ago they both received large stocks of licorice gouramis (maybe 100 total split between them). They are being kept in the normal shop water (neutral pH, average hardness).
