hi all, i have this pond jar from last summer that’s been growing a lot of what i’m assuming is daphnia (?). when i was cycling my 20g tank i was also raising what i thought would be an endless supply of microfauna like scuds, daphnia, and copepods but since adding fish (cories, rasboras, recently one betta) i’ve been seeing less and less as i think they’re getting eaten quicker than they can reproduce? so i’m wondering if it would be safe to siphon some of these guys out of the jar, which would obviously mean some of the jar water as well, and adding it to my tank? i know my baby betta specifically would be thrilled as she loves to root around and hunt and she is a very picky eate...

Looking for a sidegrade from my cabelas 9ft 5wt that im learning on, I fish mostly on tiny streams that are absolutely choked with low hanging shrubbery and I have found the 9ft rod exhausting to use in those quarters. I have a cycling tank started 10 day ago. Its 10 gallons. First 5 days where fishless with prime added on day 1. Day 2 I added Tetra Starter Plus. Day 5 I added our Betta per recommendation of our local pet store and started Scheme Stability added once daily since. (I was nervous about adding a fish so soon) I've done Scheme daily since our fish was added.
