I have been wanting to do aliyah for a long time, and i have a realtor who's working with me to get stable, permanent housing, but he claims I'll end up "hoteling" in Israel for a few weeks while i search for the home. Hey guys I am in need of some advice, About 5 years ago I got a 190 litre tank. I didn't really have any clue what I was doing and whilst the store I was buying from made me feel like they knew a lot I have now realised they didn't. I had the tank filled with about 15 cichlids ranging from mbunas, peacocks and haps. Every time I bought them I would buy a pair 1 female and 1 male😢. The tank was okay for while but slowly they began to fight and I was losing fish and as I was putting new ones in they wouldn't last. So I eventually stopped. My daughter and I have been gradually turning our 20-gallon long aquarium into a more bioactive setup by adding live plants. Over the past few weeks, the plants have been growing really well without any extra help. Tonight at the local pet store, someone mentioned that aquarium plants often benefit from fertilizer. So here's my (probably crazy) question: Could I safely use the same plant food/nutrients I have for my AeroGarden in the fish tank? Has anyone tried this before? I have two Juli corydoras in my tank, after learning more about the I realize they need a bigger space and more Cory’s so they can school. These two always hang out together and I’ve grown very fond of the two. But I don’t have the space for an upgrade. My question is 1. Can I buy some Pygmy corydoras for them to school with 2. Hi! I went to my local pet shop to look at something and found out that someone had dropped off around 100 baby Betta fish. A few were in temporary holding tanks, while they prepare nicer tanks for them. They don't know what kind of Betta the babies are, would anyone here know by looking as these pictures? They are all very small. The shop keeper thinks they could be veil tails or crown tails. i have had my fish tank started since septemer 2025, before that i had tried getting an axolotl, i did all the research, thought i had it cycled, then failed. got the fish as they are much easier than an axolotl and they have honestly been fine other than me over worrying. i got a pleco, it passed away. looking back the coloring of the little dude never seemed right he was pale, tan colored, and at the top of the tank. fast forward a month i got a new pleco. bright yellow. hides during the day. eats at night. now the only real downside is the floating plants constantly get picked at by my 8 rosy barbs.
