**TL;DR** — Multi-turn RAG with query rewriting resolves pronouns from history. When you change the subject without telling the system, the rewriter resolves the new pronoun against the *old* topic. You get technically correct pronoun resolution that points at the wrong document entirely. The fix is a `new:` prefix that clears history and disables rewriting for that turn. Hi, I am interested in trying to set up a CO2 system for the first time ever. I have had planted tanks for \~15 years with mainly low light / easy plants. I redid my 30-gallon \~8 months ago after it had fallen into poor condition, but despite new "fertilized" substrate, the tank is Plant Purgatory where unlucky plants go to wither and die. It is growing BBA like mad, and the only plants that are doing "ok" are the Amazon Sword, a single crypt variety, and floaters.
