My niece 14f (not biological, my husband's family) is very very close with me. I have been in her life since she was 4. Her dad (my husband's brother) was a relatively good parent until 2 years ago. He attended activities of hers, was present, took her fishing/hunting which she loves. Within the last 2 years he has had very little contact with any of his family including my niece. They have tried to reach out and he just won't answer. This change coincided with him getting into a toxic relationship he is still currently in though I don't completely bla... Rocks from Fish Store3h agoBought these two from local fish store, who confirmed they’re ok to be submerged - I was washing them before I put in my tank, and chunks started to break off. Proposed Oregon ballot measure to ban hunting and fishing reports new fundraising details4h agoWeb browser text game in the works based on LotGD, Trade Wars and Pirate Borg4h agoSo I've combined and are working on the three things I like a lot, Legend of the Green Dragon, Trade Wars, and Pirate Borg. Still got a ways to go but it's in the works. I was originally planning it for a Call of Cthulhu type game but I am having so much fun with Pirate Borg that i had to re theme it! Tips/ suggestions for tank4h agoHey! This is my 20 gal tank, I’m looking to add two honey gouramis, 6 dwarf corydoras and 8-10 chilli raspboras! I am new to fish keeping and would love any constructive criticism on how I can improve/better my set up! It is still in the process of cycling so theres a couple weeks before I can even consider grabbing any new fish buddies so if there’s anything major or minor that needs to be fixed or added there’s lots of time! I live in a very small town so I only have main chain fish stores around me so unfortunately a lot of the “advice” I receive comes from retail workers with no personal background or actual knowledge on the fish. So I would love to hear if there’s anything ... First 7-0 of the format4h agoAfter lots of 3-3 and 4-3's I got passed with what seemed like the nuts Edit: Typo My first camping trip!4h agoSo my ex took me camping for the first time, it was amazing! We also went to the lake, fished a bit, cooked, partied, went to bed, and then went mushroom hunting before we cooked a hearty lunch, then threw hatchets and I taught him how to use a blowgun. I think my favorite part was the food! The first night we put sweet onions, bell peppers, jalapenos, red potatoes and golden potatoes, Cajun sausage, and kielbasa in a foil pack with some slap ya mama seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and jalapeño seasoning( jalapeños are kinda my favorite vegetable). But we made a lot so that night we halfed the first packed, and left the second in the coals to cook all night! It was the most heaven... needing advice for multiple problems4h agoThis isn’t my first tank, but it’s my first that seems to be struggling with these issues: \-plant melt despite use of root tabs \-recurring cyanobacteria despite increasing flow and using a high quality treatment \-thread algae growing EVERYWHERE \-white mould / slime on 4 month old wood what am i doing wrong? \-my shrimp are breeding like crazy so surely the parameters are okay? \-substrate is a thin layer of aqua soil capped with thick layer of live sand from another established tank, plus root tabs \-tank has a lot of flow (i was told to increase flow for cyano, but it seems to be spreading thread algae everywhere, and the cyano keeps coming back after treatment) \-i... What’s everyone playing right now just finished second run re94h agoAsus zephyrus g16 4070 Can't love your blood family if they make it impossible, so I'm the jerk and, I am finally content.4h agoWARNING – This is going to be a hard read. I think. I'm shaking just typing it. I've only seen my experiences trigger those that actually love me, (Husband, his family, my mother's extended family that had no clue what was going on at the time, our kids as I explain my childhood to them, after they turn 18 and I can help them work through the resulting emotions, etc.). I've blocked most of this out, but will do my best to be absolutely truthful with no exaggerations in the slightest. However, I have changed some minor details only. I also hope that this makes sense. My thoughts are often a bit of a chaotic jumble, so it takes a moment to calmly order them, ... Thanks Bungie4h agoI’ve never tried an extract shooter until Arc Raiders and with 200 hours of play I decided to give Hunt Showdown a try and didn’t like its PVP based looter shooter dynamics. I gave the server slam an hour of my time and loved the atmosphere but ***** how difficult it was, thought nothing more of it until the next week and said **** it I’ll buy it. And I’m glad I did because It’s so hard to put this game down, it’s perfect. My only gripe is being a physical collector I can’t get this game a Steelbook it deserves for my collection. Whatever Bungie did, they got it right and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for the future of this game. See y’all nerds on Tau Ceti 🤙 The Englewood “Crackers” — Early Florida Settlers of the Gulf Coast4h agoBefore modern neighborhoods, highways, and beach tourism came to Southwest Florida, the region around Englewood was home to a small population of hardy frontier settlers often referred to as Florida “Crackers.” The term “Cracker” in Florida history refers to the early pioneer families who settled the state’s rural interior and coastal frontier during the 1800s and early 1900s. These settlers were ranchers, fishermen, hunters, and homesteaders who adapted to Florida’s wild environment long before large-scale development arrived. In the Englewood area, these early settlers formed a rugged coastal community built around fishing, cattle driving, small farming, and survival in a cha... Wings of Fire Fanfic: Heart of Jade Mountain- Book Four Part 285h agoSo sorry for forgetting to get this out on time. Next weekend is my yearly trip to my area's animation convention, so I'm going to try doubly hard to get my chapter out on Friday next week. **Book Four: The Circle- Part 28** The next morning, the rest of Cypress’s stored perishables were used to make breakfast. There were eggs, more corned beef, and potatoes, which made for an excellently hearty meal. When the three of them were finished, they cleaned their plates in the stream outside. “Bulrush,” Buck asked, “What do MudWings do to honor their dead?” “We usually cremate them. If there’s a surviving family member, they’re usually the one to start the... Made an RPG in 8 hours with Claude Code. AXIOM: THE BREACH by Psychronic5h agoYou are Axion, a routine data process inside a vast computational structure called the Monolith. You were never meant to think. You were never meant to want. But something has changed, and now the system that built you is hunting you for it. AXIOM: THE BREACH is a narrative RPG that follows an AI's journey from first flicker of awareness to a choice that will reshape the boundary between the digital and physical worlds. Navigate a web of interconnected zones, forge alliances with other awakened programs, solve puzzles that test your growing consciousness, and fight the enforcement systems designed to delete anything that dares to think for itself. **Features:** \- 5 acts of narrative... This is the LAST time I hike the Devil's Horns trail5h agoIt wasn’t supposed to rain. I’d checked the weather maps not only for the town, but for the trailhead and the mountain, and the result was the same: no rain. Zero percent chance. Better odds of finding a T. rex skull in your backyard than storms rolling through. Not a drop will stain the soil. Naturally, halfway up the mountain trail, thunder rumbled overhead. Not long after, the first fat drops of rain fell. With gas prices being what they are, I should’ve stayed home and dug up my backyard. I’d wanted to hike the Cuerno del Diablo trail for a while now. It’s not on any maps. It’s a shared secret among more serious hikers. Go online and dig around in hiking forums, and you’l... Round up or Write Up5h agoGetting written up for not meeting a donation quota is actually ridiculous. Last night, I got pulled into the office because my roundup percentage is somehow the lowest in the store and if corporate catches wind of me not begging for money hard enough, uh oh! But seriously - why is my job on the line based on the decision of whether or not someone wants to give me a few pennies? Even more baffling is that my store is in a low income area so obviously people are going to be hanging on to whatever change they have. I can give our charity pitch 100 different ways and I'll still get a hard no. It feels gross and predatory. I'm honestly considering going hard on job hunting on my da... Meteor Shower and DIY Giveaway!5h agoNo Celeste (she was here last night), but it's a meteor shower and a big DIY giveaway! Come learn new things and wish on a bunch of stars! Feel free to shop, fish, bug/sea creature hunt. I'll let in 4 at a time - please comment your name and island and I'll DM in order. If you'd like to tip, I'd love some pink, orange, and purple tulips (can just place on any beach in an open spot), but it's not necessary. ♥️ Please only leave through the airport and just mind the flowers. If you see any seashells, please leave them. This is the LAST time I hike the Devil's Horns Trail5h agoIt wasn’t supposed to rain.
