Basically I’m trying to add an RO water filter to fill my fish tanks with but I have a double sink, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. I don’t want to drill into the pipe & don’t think I even can because of it being made out of metal & any plastic parts are downstream of the garbage disposal which I read was ill advised since the drain can flow back into the RO system. I am not installing another faucet for the RO water, just storing it in the tank. What’s the best way to add the RO drain line without drilling into a pipe? My three current biggest weaknesses (in terms of shopping) are 1) Too Good To Go 2) Groupons 3) Thrifting For Too Good To Go, I can justify most of my purchases as they are meals I would eat anyway. Please Help! This is my first betta and fish in general and I’m feeling a little lost. I rescued him on the fly when he was brought in by someone for a staff white elephant in December. I didn’t want him to live in a jar on someone’s desk. He’s currently in a 5 gallon and what I hope is a cycled tank… I test his water every day and have been making sure Ammonia and Nitrites are at 0 ppm. Nitrates are at around 20 ppm. Hi, I recently added 10 ghost shrimp, 3 cherry shrimp, and two nerite snails to my 5 gallon betta tank. The tank is about 2 months old, and has been very stable for weeks until now. It has 7 live aquatic plants, including Java moss for the shrimp, and a monstera and an orchid plant at the surface with roots in the water. One snail was badly chipped when I purchased it (I didnt even look before leaving) and has become pretty lethargic and sad looking. This morning I found it, and two shrimp on the bottom of the tank. This probably sounds silly, but I’ve only ever had one tank at a time so I’ve never had to move a fish that wasn’t going right into a hospital tank. This weekend I need to move my fish to a temporary tank so I can move their existing one. I want to move it to paint the wall behind it, but I also plan on doing a full re-scape with new substrate. I’ve been putting it off for a while because I’m really anxious about the actual logistics of it. Do I have to acclimate them to the new tank like when I bring them home from the store? Any tips to catch them? I have two flag acaras, and a bunch of tetras.

So for context: my neighbor has an aquarium that has had a cory cat in it for years. About a couple of months ago she tried adding more fish and they kept dying. When she told me a year ago her cory was bent in half I finally clocked that the issue was the aquarium and not her potentially not acclimating them right/chain pet store issues.
