[For Hire] Game UI/UX Designer looking for projects.

1h ago

Hey! I'm Idris, a UI/UX Designer with over six years of experience under my belt. If you're on the hunt for someone to help create game interfaces that are both fun to use and easy on the eyes, you’ve found the right person! I've spent a lot of time in the gaming world, pouring my passion into different projects. What drives me? I love making interfaces that aren't just pretty but also super smooth to use. I’m always excited to take on new challenges and see how far I can push things in game design. Here’s what I’m good at: **Visual Design:** I’m all about creating interfaces that look great and work well. I use color, typography, and animation to make sure ...

Announcing 'Mermaids are Seafood', my psychological horror game!

1h ago

Hi! I'm a solo indie dev/artist and I'm working on 'Mermaids are Seafood', a psychological horror game. It's a story-focused game where choices matter. I was inspired by Lobotomy Corporation, Slay the Princess, and Papers Please. I started making games \~2 years ago as a side project in school, and this is my second full game. All the art is hand-drawn by me. Game description: Gamble your blood, upgrade your luck with insider deals, and even sew fish tails onto human torsos to make artificial mermaids. Do you think mermaids are more like fish, or people? You can choose to save them, or sell mermaid meat to pay off your debts. I'd really appreciate any feedback...

I built a Fishbowl (Monikers I guess) generator for my family games

1h ago

So I play a lot of FishBowl (learned it's called monikers in other countries lol) with my friends and family and one of the things I didn't like (because I introduced it to them) was that it took a lot of time to cut and make the slips of paper and that made us lose momentum and sometimes interest in learning the rules and stuff, but once they played it they loved it (except when you are in the ***** team haha) Well I ended up doing an app for just my own games but now that I’ve polished it a bit I posted it to the AppStore. It creates the “slips of paper” (virtually) with fresh prompts and takes into account your language and country, you could even create your own packs ...

How are you protecting your store from competitor scraping?

1h ago

Had a conversation with another store owner in my niche and they mentioned competitors were scraping their product pages and pricing. Got me thinking - I've never really considered this as a threat. For those who've dealt with this: - How did you discover it was happening? - What were the signs? - Did it actually impact your business? Also curious if anyone has insights on how common this is in e-commerce. Is this something every store should worry about or more of a "big fish" problem?

Sagamore's Taiwan Special Edition: Sagamore Reserve Series, Sauternes Finish Cask Strength Rye

1h ago

Hi all! I'm back with another Asia limited edition oddball! I actually began working on this review a few months ago, but kind of forgot about it half way through. I only remembered it after seeing a post on here not long ago about whiskey hunting in Taiwan lmao Today, let me introduce an interesting Sagamore Rye I found in Taiwan- Sagamore Reserve Series, Sauternes Finish Cask Strength Rye! Details in comments! Rambling (Feel free to TL:DR): A while ago, I got a bit curious about Sagamore's Rye Whiskies after reading about quite a handful of good things about them. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to find anything other than their regular Straight Rye whisky in the usual li...

Likely a children's story about Reynard the fox and his family, which I read in Year 2

1h ago

tldr/ kids book about a fox father and his family, can't remember title or author or other meta details, just parts of the plot. hello. This is my first post. I once read a book about a cunning fox father (whose name begins with an R) and his family in school, though it was purely for fun. I cannot remember the title or author but I remember parts of the plot. I will write them here. I apologise in advance for the walls of text. I don't know if the MC was Reynard specifically, but it's the most likely option and what I'll call him. He has a wife and at least 2-3 sons, one of whom is rather foolish. Reynard calls him a 'silly fox'. Detail 1: At some point, ...

The Order: Obsession

Hoyer sat on the edge of the bunk like a cautionary tale. Boots on, armor half-off, dried blood on his chin. The cot creaked under him. He rubbed his face and exhaled. “Brilliant,” he muttered. “Punch a thug in front of the only people left who think I’ve got restraint.” He kicked at the floor. “She knows now. Great. Got baited like a rookie with a crush.” He thought about the sanctum-born’s clean boots that first day she entered the fort. How he assumed she’d last a week. *She is still here*, he thought. Still helping. Still talking to him as if he mattered.  Hoyer was thinking about her circumstances, a girl from a sanctum. The word sanctum was shorthand for sealed ...

Heroes vs Hordes best cheats for unlimited free Gems

1h ago

Hey everyone, I’ve been playing Heroes vs Hordes for quite a while now, and yeah... collecting gems can feel like a full-time job. I got tired of grinding for hours just to upgrade a few heroes or open a single chest. So I went on a little hunt to find ways to get free gems — and ended up finding a few methods that actually work. Here’s what’s been the most effective for me: ### 1. Use online generators – best hack for infinite Gems (Android / iOS) At first, I didn’t really believe these sites worked. You’ve probably seen them before, pages promising tons of gems “for free.” But here’s the thing: some of them actually do work if you find the right one. I tested a few an...

In-depth buying guides and comparisons I have written

1h ago

I spend a lot of time researching products before buying anything, and over the years I started writing detailed guides to organize that research and help others avoid bad purchases. My focus is practical buying advice, real-world trade-offs, and explaining what actually matters depending on how something is used. I do not chase trends or hype. Most of these guides exist because the same questions kept coming up again and again. If you landed here and want deeper context, below is a curated list of the guides I have written, grouped by topic. # Audio and speakers * [Mini Bluetooth speakers](https://voyedy.com/best-mini-bluetooth-speakers/) * [Large Bluetooth speakers](https://voyedy.com/...

HELP MEEEE

1h ago

Been battling these tanks for months. They were pretty much atrocious when I first started back in may of 2025. Bubble algae, dinos, cyano, everything you can think of. I’ve gotten it down to just chaeto (that I added ofc), diatoms and hair algae. Have the older marineland sumps. How often do you guys do changes? Any additives/clean up crew you suggest? B assortment code for fish. I’m an olac and I don’t CURRENTLY have an aq specialist. Interviewed a couple people tho so fingers crossed 🤞

The Glass House of Europe: Resource Colonialism, Climate Hypocrisy, and the Limits of Westphalian Sovereignty | Part 1

1h ago

This paper challenges the idea that European imperialism has ended, arguing instead that nations like **France and the United Kingdom** use **legal fictions** to maintain control over strategic overseas territories. These holdings allow European powers to dominate **vast maritime zones** and secure **critical raw materials** necessary for military technology and the green energy transition. The author accuses Europe of **climate hypocrisy**, alleging that they use environmental conservation and **carbon accounting** to justify continued territorial retention while undermining the sovereignty of indigenous populations. By examining crises in **Greenland and New Caledonia**, the te...

Crocodile Tears of Colonialist Europe or Why Europe - especially France - Will Fight for Greenland But Not Ukraine

Understanding "Greenwashing Empire": How Environmentalism Can Justify Colonial Control 1. Introduction: A New Justification for an Old Idea While the great European empires are often spoken of in the past tense, a surprising reality persists: many European nations still control dozens of overseas territories spanning the globe. In the 21st century, the justifications for maintaining this control have shifted. The old colonial argument of a "civilizing mission" has been replaced by a powerful new one rooted in environmentalism and climate action. This guide explores the concept of "Greenwashing Empire": the modern practice of using environmental protection as ...
