I decided to change the food for something healthier (I was giving them grocery store food) and my local pet store suggested “no grains” on the food. This is my third ever tank and this time I tried to start via DSM using inert + ferts. It's a 16 gallon long (\~35" long). After flood the plants I used during DSM (Marsilea Minuta and S. Repens) melted back pretty extensively, while Crytpocoryne Lucens absolutely thrived before and after (they're planted near the filters on both sides). My Buce definitely saw some melt initially, some of it is recovering fairly well while others are still struggling a bit. I dose APT-1 once a day but only at half dose for now.
