I posted yesterday asking for advice after my two young kids were given bettas, something I had no prior knowledge of, but I want to give the fish a good life anyway. I got a lot of very helpful feedback, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who commented! In addition to reading all of the helpful comments on that post, I went to a locally owned fish store today and the staff was very helpful. For my situation, they suggested switching the fish to their bigger tanks today and doing a fish-in cycle. I’m happy with how the new tanks have turned out so far, but I do plan on getting some more plants soon. Of course I’d be happy to get some feedback on what could be better!

I just got this Orvis fishing vest and I’m worried it may be a bit too long. Most fishing vests I’ve seen seem to stop around the belt line or maybe extend down to the wrist. A few I’ve found go longer and all seem to be more safari/photography/hunting vests as opposed to fishing (yes I know the last one is a field jacket not a vest). This is more in line with how I intend to use this (field paleontology/geology work) as opposed to fishing. Is the fit fine or do I need to try and exchange it for a size small?

This is the spare bathroom so it’s very rarely used to bathe (but has stored fish tank supplie) and it has developed some sort of scaling around the drain end. It has a rough texture and is slimy when moist. How do I even start to tackle this? Thank you.
