My fiancé and I were given the wrong advice from a pet store owner. Our goal is a 30 gallon Aquaponics tank with black more goldfish. Basically we found out our tap water in our area is pretty bad even with conditioner and killed our fish over night. Temp was wrong and kh hardness is at an 80. So now we’re just trying to balance our tank first before we get anymore fish. So for now we’re leaving the tank empty. We picked up a tank heater, a nice sponge filter, already growing some veggies at the top of our tank, and lastly seacham equilibrium to increase the Kh. Hi everyone! I'm on the hunt for a new pet and could use some advice. I was thinking about getting a parrot, but my apartment is pretty small, and that would mean it might spend a lot of time alone. I also have contamination OCD, so I prefer a pet that stays clean and confined to a certain area. I really can't handle bugs, so if the pet's diet involves insects that can't be replaced with pellets or other foods, that's a no-go for me. I'd love to bond with my pet and spend quality time together so no fish, please! Also, since my space is limited, any pet that needs a lot of room wouldn't be suitable.
