I tuned my massive build on the 50x50 lot on Mt. Komorebi and this is what I learned about building and performance.

2h ago

So, I've learned the hard way that sims lots need to be tuned, especially if the lots are large lots with lots of collectible and craftable items, as well as items from careers. I've never really run into a performance hit before, but since I moved my household to the 50x50 lot on Mt. Komorebi, the simulation in the surrounding area (NPC skiers, snowboarders and hikers, snow simulation, the festivals, etc.) made the lot I built perform very badly. This was somewhat of a surprise to me, as this build is very similar to large builds I've made before that have performed within acceptable parameters. My laptop (Acer Nitro an515-58) is ok, but not exceedingly fast, but it's ne...

Line choice on aldebaran bfs reel

2h ago

Just bought this combo, I’ve got a Kast King kestrel that I really like but I needed a rod a bit sturdier for larger soft plastics. My question is about what line I should use. On my kestrel I used 6lb flouro leader and used braid that was the same diameter. I am afraid that if I use the same line setup I may only get 40 yards or so on the spool. Should I use a bit smaller diameter braid with the same leader on this reel?

Mulberry Mini Bayswater or Fendi By the Way Mini?

2h ago

Hello, I'm on a hunt for a little burgundy bag to complete my small bag collection and hoping to achieve purse peace for the next few years. Both would actually tick all the boxes: they're made from calfskin leather, practical for day use, spacious and have secure closures. I have checked the Fendi in store and the leather feels soft and substantial. I have yet to see Mulberry in person. My wardrobe style is more on basics and neutrals so a pop of burgundy would really be a nice accent. Burgundy is really a unique kind of neutral. Please let me know your thoughts on this.💡

Electroworld: a planet where life feeds on lightning

2h ago

On this planet, storms never truly end. A dense, highly conductive atmosphere combined with extreme temperature gradients produces constant electrical activity. Lightning storms sweep across the surface almost continuously, turning the sky into a network of flashing arcs of energy. Instead of avoiding this violence, life evolved to use it. The dominant organisms on Electroworld are capable of capturing and storing electrical energy from lightning strikes. Their bodies contain specialized conductive tissues that function somewhat like biological capacitors, allowing them to absorb powerful electrical discharges without being destroyed. Energy captured this way powers their metabolism. So...

Best Pet Shop in Nashik to Buy Alligator Gar Fish?

2h ago

I am looking for a reliable pet shop in Nashik where I can buy an Alligator Gar fish. It would be helpful if the shop sells healthy fish and also provides guidance on proper care, tank size, and feeding. If anyone knows good aquarium stores in Nashik that keep Alligator Gar or can arrange one on order, please share the shop name, location, and your experience. Thanks!

Ekşili Köfte (Turkish Lemon And Yogurt Meatball Soup)

3h ago

I tried this dish for the first time and really enjoyed it so thought I’d share. Note: this is not authentic but just what I did based on what I had on hand and after looking at a bunch of different recipes. It’s often made with potato as well and if you want to add that or celery root or rutabaga then I would add them along with the meatballs. Just make sure to dice them small so that they have a chance to cook through. I also added celery, onion, and bay but these can be omitted. **Ingredients**: **Meatballs**: 1 small onion 1 egg 1 pound ground chicken, or beef or pork (beef is more usual) 1 teaspoon fish sauce, optional (enhances umami and you won’t taste it) 1/2 cup seas...

Garmin Fenix 8 vs Apple Watch Ultra 3

3h ago

I have been having smartwatch fatigue choosing between the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro 51mm and the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Here's my take in case you are on the fence between these two. I'm coming from an Apple Watch Ultra 1. I couldn't decide and watched a bunch of videos but was still on the fence, so I decided to buy both. Garmin Fenix 8 Pro 51mm: The 51mm didn't seem too big to me but I am a bigger person (6'2", 280 lbs). I liked the idea of having a smartwatch with the in-reach capability, just in case. I have an new iPhone with Satellite messaging so having a backup for me is a good option. I'm only paying for the basic LTE and in-reach. I don't mind ...

I launched my first App Store app on Product Hunt today - it’s designed to become unnecessary over time

3h ago

Hey everyone - I launched **Headjust** on Product Hunt today and wanted to share it here too. It’s a native macOS app I built in Swift that uses **AirPods / headphone motion data** to help people become more aware of their head movement, tilt, drift, and overall posture patterns while working. The idea came from a personal problem. I realized that while working at my Mac, I wasn’t just slouching, I had become really unaware of how static, rigid, or imbalanced I could get over long stretches. So I started exploring AirPods motion sensors and building a small tool for myself. The first version was just a menu bar utility that played a sound whenever I stayed too still. I ***** it and ke...

What are people’s thoughts on Ascend mountain bikes?

3h ago

For starters, I am not an experience off-road/mountain biker and am looking to casually get into it around Ohio this summer. I work at Cabelas so I would get 50% off the bike but do you think it would be worth it? I know it’s a chain stores brand of bike so some components are going to be cheaper but I’m also not looking to add any parts or modify most likely. I guess all in all I want to know if I’m going to **** my **** riding one. Thanks :)

It gives players a new way to turn gathered resources into weapons, armor, and other gear through a deployable machine called the **item fabricator**. More importantly, it adds meaningful rewards, stronger reasons to run missions, and a fresh purpose for mining and salvaging equipment. This guide break...

Dinner /Dawat Idea

3h ago

I want to serve Halim and Naan in the main dish and not as appetizer. What other main dish and side dish I can serve? There are some amongst the guests who don’t eat chicken or any kind of meat (egg and fish are fine). Please suggest some dishes. PS: for dessert I am serving shemai. Appetizers will be store-bought.

I watched families fall apart trying to find a dead loved one's passwords. So I built an encrypted vault for it.

3h ago

My wife and I run a property management business, and over the years we've watched the same painful pattern play out after someone passes… families scrambling to find passwords, insurance documents, bank accounts, login credentials, etc. It hit me one day: what if MY family had to go through that? Would they know where everything is? The honest answer was no. So I built Lifelines Legacy \~ an end-to-end encrypted vault where you can store your passwords, documents, and final wishes. But here's what makes it different from a regular password manager: \* Family Groups — a shared vault where your family's most important items live together, with granular privacy control...

Sick of endless tabs, so I built an AI that learns my budget and size

3h ago

I kept jumping between Amazon, eBay, and a bunch of other stores, hunting for the right size and a price that didn't feel like robbery. It took forever and I still bought the wrong thing more than I wanted to admit. So I started building a small personal agent that remembers what I actually buy, my price ceiling, and the brands I ****. First useful thing, it started filtering out items above my budget without me asking. That simple behavior saved a lot of pointless clicks. Crossing sellers mattered too, once it pulled up a near-identical listing from eBay that I would have missed. Those little wins made it feel like something people could actually use day-to-day. What's rough: si...

Forrelli Marshmallow eggs

3h ago

For people who remember Brachs Easter Hunt candy Marshmallow eggs. I purchased these at Roses warehouse department store. They were $1.50 for 10 candy eggs. Each flavor has a different taste. They taste and have the texture very close to . Very very sweet.

Ever notice your cat suddenly sprinting around the house like a tiny rocket? 🐱💨

3h ago

Those random bursts of energy usually happen because cats sleep most of the day. When they wake up, all that stored energy has to go somewhere. In the wild, this would be the time they hunt. So when your cat suddenly runs across the house, jumps on furniture, and slides across the floor… it’s just their natural hunting instincts kicking in. Totally normal. Totally hilarious. \#CatEnergyBurst \#NightTimeCat \#FelineInstincts Sources: International Cat Care Cornell Feline Health Center, Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP)

Vent: I love Stardew, but in-game days feel like a grocery run with no checkout

4h ago

I know Stardew is a comfort game for a lot of people, me included, but I have to vent about how the clock turns me into a frantic coupon gremlin. I wake up with a calm plan: water the crops, do a quick run in the mines, say hi to a few villagers, drop off whatever the Community Center needs, maybe fish if there is time. Then the day actually starts and it turns into chaos. Sprint to the barn to pet animals, realize I forgot to grab hay, run to the silo, pick up a tool, remember something back in a chest and double back, get distracted by a forage item, and suddenly it is afternoon. It feels exactly like going to the store trying to stack deals. You walk in thinking it will be simple,...
